hey everybody I'm peanutbutter gamer and welcome to my list of the top 10 worst Mario Party minigames for Mario month I was originally doing these lists as a way to celebrate Mario Party the top 100 but Mario Party the top 100 is just so good that I don't want to talk about it it's just so good but let's pretend like it doesn't exist in never date yes how's that Sam but don't pay any attention to me I'm just grumpy I'm getting in the mood for the worst list what can I say if you're feeling a little more optimistic make sure you check out my top 10 best Mario Party minigames that link is in the description below as well as annotated at the end of this video one note before we start on this list I'm not gonna cover any single-player mini games any button mashing minigames and also no you know put enough of all that stuff let's get right into the video here we go I thought we were gonna do this thing go alright I've been making this argument since 2011 bumper balls sucks allow me to quote myself here is that a thing you can do can you quote yourself I'm doing it anyway Joey's a draw I know a lot of people tout this is one of their favorite games so maybe I'm just missing something but from my experience it ends in a draw 4 out of 5 times there was a fix that was added in the Mario Party top 100 version but it somehow makes it even worse they increased the movement speed and the bounce of the balls which certainly eliminates the draw issue but instead of a minute long game with no winner we now get a minigame that lasts an average of 5 seconds whoopty freakin do seriously I'm done talking about Mario Party the top 100 now people might think it's funny if I get angry but my angers kind of turning into sadness I just wanted a good Mario Party compilation game why is it so hard to put a few other good boards into the game really ask yourself there's a world where a swelled man-child it was a neckbeard can't get a game that's good said even a world worth living in I don't know it's a good question [Music] up next I have one of the many microphone games the choicest voice from Mario Party eyelet or was an island tour was it islet pool yeah it was island tour island tour for the yes was it the D s or the three BS it's the third yes tell me I already knew that anyway was a joke my memory cards full what am I even doing what am i doing with my day play Mario Party stew alright I'm back let's play this freakin thing maybe it's better than I remember alright in this game you perform your your best impression of whatever character they put up on the screen with your might with the Mike on the 3ds it's gonna be great alright here we got oh great alright here we go so now they're gonna give us a rating that's two three out of five not bad up next we got Yoshi with a Yoshi Yoshi dying it wasn't even a far off really I got three again I have a feeling these judges are that the AI on the judges own art is not great ah I can do toad toad I can do it has to do a weird laugh of course alright here we go [Laughter] that's the front my toad voice is flawless hello you giving that too many points hello that's a good toad what's wrong with you people I should I say what's wrong with you no I shouldn't do that beauty peachy that's too fast it's too he goes so fast that still got 20 points though he's got 20 points okay well it seems like it's basically impossible to lose this game I want to test something I'm just gonna scream as loud as I can into the mic you like a full peak and see it see what it see what it scores me we'll see well let's see that's 50 points that's gonna wrap us up it's gonna win us the game [Laughter] goodness [Music] [Applause] yeah that's that's gonna do it [Applause] remember that mario party game where mario was just walking around that one time and then fancy toad showed up and he gave everybody a vacation and they went sailing out it to the ocean seas and they were all like yeah me neither who's Mario Party 7 them but hey mr. peanut butter man how could you forget my favorite minigame royal rumpus royal rumpus alright guys we need a minigame that's gonna change it up from the normal board style gameplay what do you got I've got an idea for a new game it's gonna change the way anyone ever looks at my party it's called rolling dice hit the dice block to earn the same number of coins as the number rolled coin Kjus that's literally it your roll dice I did it [Music] at number seven I have a game from Mario Party 8 and to be honest with you I could probably fill most of this list with games from 8 no offense to any Mario Party 8 fans out there sorry apparently they do exist because I saw a bunch of them in the comment section of one of our top 100 videos on BB and Jeff yo I see you guys you're dead wrong but I see I'm just kidding in case that snuck I guess that's not obvious opinions Wow Mario Party 8 was the first Mario Party game on the Wii so naturally they used a lot of motion controls for the mini-games no I don't have a problem with that inherently in fact I enjoy some motion control minigames and other mario parties but a lot of the minigames in eight are so bare bones enter flip the chip what do you do and flip the chimp you flip a monkey back and forth that's it that's all you just you just watch him on the screen right here that's what you do monkeys move very slowly up are open then you make them move either left or right by swinging the wiimotes then if you win you get this creepy monkey staring at you behind your head for a few seconds sometimes he crawls down the rope but then other times he just sort of slowly moves down no climbing animation completely motionless it's kind of scary up next I have crane game for mario party 1 & 2 this is one of those super unbalanced one versus three mini-games I have to ask specifically in mario party 1 is it even possible to get away from the crane I'm honestly not sure that it is from my experience if the crane player is even remotely competent and he picks you you're screwed and on top of that it doesn't function like a normal mini game in Mario Party one the crane player doesn't just win coins he steals one third of the coins from the player he grabs if you're one of the players not picked you don't have your coins stolen so that's cool but all you get to do the entire minigame is lay there and wiggle around like a moron a lot of these problems are fixed in the Mario Party 2 version instead of just getting one person you have to get all three of the other players but it's still virtually impossible for the team of three players to win because if it wasn't easy enough already the single player can now grab more time to use sixty five additional seconds are available infinitely more time than even the most below average player would need if crane game comes up and you're unlucky enough to be one of the three players unless you're just some kind of button mashing prodigy you might as well just take a bathroom break I'm not even kidding just take me just take me peach I'm not even gonna try [Music] shout and scream support your dream shine like a beam and live a dream biology play em all just like a key guy that played basketball bribes are getting a little obscene Dunc bros for mario party six I normally like basketball games but this one this is not very good I'd much rather play three free-throw or whatever you can never make a shot the computers can never miss a shot it's pretty dumb [Music] another incredibly unfair one versus three mini game of piranhas pursuit from Mario Party one I'm not gonna spend much time on this game three players ground-pound a cloud that spits out rain on top of a piranha plant that Jase is the single player across a course a course that occasionally presents a mild inconvenience like a tree or rock to jump over it's impossible for the three players to win if the single player doesn't screw up it's incredibly easy for the single player to not screw up and what's even worse is that the single player can screw up multiple times if the three players will anyway oh I'm mad about it I purposely did a run where I tripped a total of five times and I still won with the computers on the hardest difficulty I might add I'm so amazing I know thank you everybody for saying it but not only is this game unfair it's also just straight-up dull especially as the three players whoohoo pointlessly ground-pounding for a maze straight my favorite hot ziggity I was originally gonna go with a very infamous 1 vs. 3 game heat stroke for Mario Party 5 and I admit it is incredibly unbalanced possibly the most unbalanced minigame gameplay-wise but instead I had to go with another Mario Party won minigame and another one vs. 3 game coins shower flower qohen shower flower is the king of all unfair one versus three games specifically because of the coin ratio handed out in the end one player stands on top of a flower as coins fall on his head but the other three poor souls are left to fight for the table crumbs while paddling around on a flimsy looking leaf the three players will be lucky enough to get anywhere from one to five coins whereas the single player can get upwards of thirty coins without too much difficulty it's not very likely to happen but the player on top of the flower can fall but that is the worst part falling off the flower ends the game for everybody it just ends the freaking game so if the three players are lucky enough to have an opponent dumb enough to fall off they can't even benefit by continuing to collect coins they are also penalized for it miss peach got 13 coins you got nine zero death ray I wanted to give a little bit of a disclaimer here if you're easily startled or upset this next segment might just be a bit too much for you it's a race to the death for men and or women and/or Yoshi's and or squid thingies for lily pads only one survivor blooper what are you even in this game why are you label character nobody likes you blooper more like blooper [Music] rutter madness from Mario Party 8 here's an exact picture of the the moment when I won the first race while getting footage for this video just look how much fun I'm having and my number one worst Mario Party minigame is Mario Party IQ you know what kids love quizzes you know what they love even more than quizzes quizzes with impossible questions like of the following battle royale maps which one has been played the most I haven't played this specific cartridge of Mario Party 3 in like two and a half years how the heck am I supposed to know that oh I got it right sometimes the questions are incredibly difficult but other times they're way too easy who is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom hmm I wonder who it could be but the worst part about it is that it usually devolves into everyone's spamming a as fast as they can for the one and three chance to get the question correct it totally ruins the point of the game but it's fairly effective in practice the thing is we already have a game where all you do is spam a as fast as you can for a random chance at success it's called toad in a box and speaking of Toad the box that game sucks too it should've made the list box Mountain Man sucks Creek the ranked sub skirt concepts but because on some some progress on fire my second arrow actually I take it back on the beat goes on I don't really know everybody hates on that one I I get that it takes a while to get through but it's just a freaking memory game usually makes a source
