Chevy Chase and Martin Short as a trio of recently unemployed actors who end up in a Mexican town to fight an infamous outlaw as is the case with most slapstick comedies hijinks ensue in the form of a fighter Charlie Sheen & Company spoof everything from Rambo Robocop and Terminator 2 to Lady and the Tramp [Music] and they do so with great physical comedy at every turn before this usual morning routine by milking the White House goats and finishing a second helping of grapefruit soybean corn belongs in the row we're gonna get you ready for the ball number six dumb and dumber the Farrelly Brothers love them some slapstick Dumb and Dumber however is their career peak hey when you're the most annoying sound in the world Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey outdo themselves as Harry and Lloyd two dimwits that just don't know any better than to trek to Aspen to return a suitcase to a woman they don't even know both a slapstick comedy and an intelligent comedy at the same time this cult classic is full of visual gags cringe-worthy jokes and of course hijinks but above all else it's gut-busting ly funny we may lose your clock which right now you just tell me where to sign bud right on my ass after you kissing drastic you kiss my number five the naked gun from the files of police squad cowards no longer willing of course it was 1980 spoof airplane that launched Leslie Nielsen's comedy career but by the time the Naked Gun was released he'd perfected his act as straight men in the farcical slapstick I'm lieutenant Frank Drebin police squad and don't ever let me catch you guys in America as lieutenant Frank Drebin Nielsen gets into a rages scenario after outrageous scenario as he tries to solve his latest case Cuban I know that's Irish my father was from Wales a flick full of sight-gags tons o puns and a plot to assassinate the Queen this satire of police procedurals will constantly have you laughing in spite of yourself [Music] [Music] number four Ace Ventura when nature calls and now a yak [Music] some may be surprised to find this sequel here instead of 1994's Ace Ventura pet detective but when nature calls features an even more frenetic performance on behalf of its star as well as new animals new adventures and the same hair at least according to the posters do I have something in my teeth Jim Carrey's famed pet detective comes out of retirement to investigate the disappearance of a rare white bat with perfectly timed jokes that fit as our beloved detective would say collected love this farce is high-energy and high hilarity number three the Pink Panther we must find that woman before Leslie Nielsen became the silly straight man there was Peter Sellers a comedy natural as evidenced by his 1968 slapstick vest the party sellers excelled in the genre but his true slapstick tour-de-force was 1963 as the Pink Panther with his cliched clothes outrageous accent and near constant blundering sellers was the bumbling inspector of the French search a Jacques Puzo who managed somehow to be so clumsy it's endearing you know mister [Music] it's my bedroom and my hand as he attempts to find a famous thief and the world's largest diamond clues oh and counters all manner of crazy shenanigans yes no no not correct of course not correct of course oh yeah wait wait you see don't get scared now number two home alone cheapskate hey I'm gonna give you to the count of 10 to get your ugly yellow no-good keister off my property before I pump your guts full of lead while at the core of this movie lies a touching story about a boy and his family what makes it the kind of Christmas film you'll watch year after year are its slapstick sequences be a good little fella now and open the door [Music] what starring Macaulay Culkin as the ever so clever Kevin McCallister as well as Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern as a couple of dumb house robbers these scenes are just what any eight-year-old would concoct without parental supervision which means they're full of
