Top 10 Reasons Why I Got a Chevy Blazer

hi there I'm Benjamin Durham and today we're gonna talk about why I got a Chevy Blazer as my first vehicle getting straight to business here are the top 10 reasons why I have a 2005 Chevy Blazer to be honest it was a great deal for the $4,500 that I paid this blazer is built to blazed trails it's not a new vehicle so oh okay so I'm not worried if it gets a few scratches on my adventures four-wheel drive is almost a necessity up here because two wheel drive isn't the greatest when it comes to back roading and heavy snow conditions it came with some awesome winter tires for that extra traction when even four-wheel drive isn't enough to get you out of a tough spot it's high off the ground with a ton of clearance so it doesn't get stuck in the deep snow and underbrush autostart so that the windows can defrost while I bundle up and here so now the temperature can rise up to a nice toasty negative 25 degrees Celsius yeah it's that cold it's 10 years old I can modify this thing and experiment with it as much as I want like a truck it has the capacity to carry a lot of things in the trunk but unlike a truck the back of the SUV is not exposed to the elements and it can be climate controlled and it can be accessed from the cab so that's great for my weather sensitive camera equipment the big bed in the back also allows me to set up my tripod so I can get some cool over-the-shoulder shots it also has back seats that you can fold up when needed it's gonna be great for camping expeditions in the Rockies because I can throw all of my gear in the back and then I can also sleep there the block heater is really important in this climate because without it your car won't start in negative 40 degree weather it's also really harmful to your car when the fluids in it are way below operating temperature and then you start it expecting it to work properly without any problems usually not the case bonus it's also blue just like everything else that I own apparently it's not intentional I promise it's weird I don't know now this video is about my new ride and why it was useful for me but in the next video we're gonna get way more intense by helping you survive a potentially life-threatening situation where you be broken down on the side of the road and extreme cold conditions so stay tuned for that
