hello friends and welcome to another episode of dawson adventures have you ever had the desire to go to las vegas but you're not much of a gambler maybe you're not really into slots because you know they kind of just take your money perhaps your poker face still needs a lot of work $20 a drink doesn't really seem quite realistic for you and dropping thousands of dollars on a purse really isn't in your budget and who knows maybe you've already blown all your money and you're looking for something to do into your plane leaves or never fear I said Dawson adventures has your back we're gonna give you our top ten list of things to do free while here in Las Vegas you ready babe alright let's go ahead and get started number 1 Bellagio fountains this is a mandatory for any free top ten list so let's get this one out of the way first initiate it when the property first opened in 1998 the fountains have over 30 choreographed songs and play every half hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. and every 15 minutes from 8:00 to midnight this schedule is generally followed during the weekends as well the world-famous Bellagio fountains is one of the most popular attractions on the strip so popular in fact that we recommend that you get there 10 minutes prior to a show to get a good view whether you're viewing for the first time or the 100 fountains are a beautiful inspiring and free activity that can be enjoyed by all ages don't forget to check them out at night as a lights and an extra touch of magic to this already majestic show [Music] one a closer view at the fountain hot is a futuristic bar located inside a Bellagio that happens to be free if you arrived it for 11:00 p.m. and the view is nothing short of breathtaking number two volcano at the Mirage designed by the same company that created the marvelous Bellagio fountains is the volcano at the Mirage running from Sunday through Thursday at 7 and 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday at 7 8 and 9 p.m. this 10-minute show is a must-see and no unfortunately there's no real fire or lava that comes out of the top of the volcano just water and lighting effects but still pretty cool the are little flames are on the base the volcano though for all you pi romantics out there number three chili your hotel spoon no matter if your hotel cost two dollars at night or two hundred a night odds are how you like that gambling reference number that your property has at least one pool taking on many attributes of the Vegas club scene most of the pools have party like atmospheres during the day and night if you're staying at your hotel they're typically free except for the more exclusive day clubs there are a few family-friendly foods like the Mandalay Bay and it's wave foodies but these are becoming fewer and far between I mean hello its Vegas number four check out the cool stuff at the hotels almost every hotel in property in Las Vegas has something weird strange and unique to look at and discover why because they know that the more time you spend there the odds are you like I did that is that you spend more money there there well it's cool to drop $100 in a criss Angel show it's just fascinating to look at the stuff outside of these mega theaters from the elaborate check-in area Caesars Palace to the mini tornadoes and the walking wall of the Christian shops outside the Aragon to the gondola rides the Venetian Canal Shoppes there's almost an unlimited amount of things to see as you can see me and my wife had a lot of fun poking around the various properties it was actually one occasion in the older casinos downtown what we accidentally went somewhere we weren't supposed to it's all Laurence Fishburne beating the crap out of a card counter true story anyway make sure you don't miss out on any of the dope selfie opportunities that available here in the city especially the ones that your wife may not watch the tape happy trails [Music] number five the Bellagio conservatory the Bellagio is home to yet another spot on our list with their amazing conservatories open 24 hours a day the dead part innocent seventh word changes five times a year to coincide with the seasons and the Chinese New Year each scene is comprised of thousands of flowers and is maintained by a few dozen gardeners this beautiful place is definitely worth to visit number 6 take pictures of the Las Vegas I'd like the Bellagio fountains - welcome to Las Vegas sinus world-famous located at the southernmost base of the strip the sign is one of the most cliche yet mandatory photo ops in the city this is about a 15-minute way to the sign but good thing is there's gonna be people there to take your photo you just kind of got to return the favor you know overall this is another fun and free activity that you're gonna want to capture when you're in the city of Las Vegas number 7 get lost in the desert if you've got a rental car one of the best things you can do as well get away from the city for a half a day anyway if you're like us being inside a smoky casino for hours on end isn't particularly adventurous so every time we're in Vegas and we take the time out to go and floor the desert while sometimes it's fun to pick a random location away from civilization we recommend heading towards the beautiful and photographic Red Rock [Music] [Applause] this goes without saying but please bring plenty of water with you because there's not a lot out there in bed of course unless you go to the Hoover Dam oh I said BAM anyways for nerds like my husband the Hoover Dam is an engineering masterpiece built during the 1930s to control floods be a power source and provide irrigation water this marvel took about five years to build claiming over 100 lives during its construction and shrouded in controversy due to unfair pay practices and discrimination their history of the dam isn't all peaches and cream at the same time Hoover Dam is a testament to American ingenuity and shows that we can achieve where we all work towards one goal regardless of its beauty however after two to three hours at the dam you'll probably be ready to hit the road back to the comforts of air conditioning number eight explore the city Vegas is a city that's meant to be explored why the guided bus tours are nice the really good finds come when traveling on foot we cover an average of 17 thousand steps a day in Vegas so be prepared to do some walking anyways while exploring keep your eyes peeled for some ultra talented street performers they are everywhere a cool place to definitely check out is a new t-mobile Park arena packed with modern art like this bliss dance statue that turns colors at night and plays electronic dance music this area continues to expand and become not so much of a secret with little restaurants shops live music free games you probably feel like a kid again playing some adult sized Jenga and mulching on a waffle sandwich no explore the city list would be complete without mentioning downtown Vegas though Fremont Street is where most of the casinos of yesteryear are located fading away a little bit while the strip's much of the swag that Vegas had Fremont Street got a second wind when the city decided to reinvest in revitalization efforts known for wacky street performers and even wackier shops we recommend you spend two to three hours just enjoying the sights and sounds here just a short walk from Freemont Street is the container park made out of you guess the containers at night the man is out front shoots flames out of his tentacles and the park is adult only after 9:00 p.m. there's a small playground out for kids and there's a bunch of unique shops and treats for everybody number nine people watch if you like watching people like us Vegas is certainly a paradise check out some of these funny enchain full clips [Music] number ten enjoy the view I mean good gracious you're in Vegas aka paradise no really the legal name of the strip is actually called Paradise Nevada now of course Vegas is far from perfect but the sights the sounds the light shows are really amazing and spectacular this one a few places on earth where you could find breathtaking nature cutting-edge technology and world-class entertainment in the same spot so there you have it folks these are our top 10 things that we like to do for free when we're in Las Vegas do you have a favorite thing that you'd like to do for free when you're in Vegas and we didn't mention feel free to drop the world a note here in the comment section below we're gonna be releasing a lot more fun videos soon so don't forget to Like and subscribe to the channel and you're gonna catch us with some really crazy wacky things god bless we'll see you guys soon bate [Music] you
