making lists of the best Pokemon designs is hard making a list of the best pecan designs while trying not to just pick your favorites is incredibly difficult when I did my ugliest popcorn list I said I wasn't gonna do a worse design this because there were too many factors to take into account like if the design was boring based on something silly or well if it looked ugly and the same kind of thing goes for a best design list which book one design so I think had the best coolest most awesome look without being too complex or too simplistic what made this list even more difficult is when you do a list that's as opinionated as a best designs list people are going to disagree with you no matter what you put on the list and no matter where you put it but then I figured that kind of goes for every top 10 list especially a list that's the best pokemon designs list so I thought why the hell not plus it's more enjoyable talking about hook one that you think look great rather than poke one that you think blue elections now there are gonna be some exceptions to the list I've decided not to include mega evolutions or legendaries on the list since the list would just be full of them if I did I mean legendaries are meant to look legendary and mega evolutions for the most part just take a book one that's already cool and just improve its look sometimes plus the legends and Megas could easily have their own lists so let's take a look at some Pokemon with awesome designs that just missed out on the list drapion a good example of how to make a cool-looking giant scorpion Sora walk I was really considering zarach for the list if it wasn't for what look like the ketchup stains in its mouth absol because it just looked really cool blaze again they took a chicken add it fire and somehow made it look cool in funny they took a monkey added fire and somehow made it look cool electivire they took electabuzz added whatever these are and made it look cool Gardevoir there's a reason why gardevoir's art would be the most popular pokemon on the internet Gallade this is just a cool new looking version of Gardevoir Tyranitar the Pokemon embodiment of Godzilla tyrantrum the Pokemon embodiment of the t-rex from Jurassic Park Samrat the Pokemon embodiment of a samurai superior in my opinion superior is the best-designed snake pokémon right on there's a reason why ride-on was officially the very first Pokemon Charizard that's it and finally Pikachu as we all know if it wasn't Pikachu being the mascot Pokemon might not be as big as it is today now with all that said let's finally start my list of the top ten best Pokemon designs in my opinion number ten Metagross what the hell is this thing I mean it looks great but what is it well apparently it's supposed to be a mix of a robots a supercomputer a spider and a UFO this easily could have been one of the most overly complicated Pokemon designs but luckily Game Freak kept it simple what simple compared to all of this at least you can just tell that this Pokemon is powerful I also like how all the legs look slightly more natural than man-made it's almost as if Metagross didn't skip leg day yeah that's right forget iron fist this is the iron leg Pokemon the only thing I see possibly putting people off Metagross design is the giant metal X on his face but I personally think it looks fine looking at Metagross I can't really think of any ways design could possibly improve oh well I guess it's a good thing I did include megazor shinies in less than number 9 Garchomp now as we all know flagon was the original dragon ground type but then Garchomp came along and almost made Flygon obsolete it was better in battle and in just about every way and design wise I know that people love flygon's design and while it's pretty cool God shop in my opinion just looks better it's just extremely solid it's as if they took Sharpedo and dragon fight its dragon fight it's that word they took Sharpedo and gave it a body Garchomp is basically the perfect mixture of a shark and a dragon now one thing I do agree with Flygon fans on is that Flygon did deserve a mega evolution much more than Garchomp did I mean Garchomp was already one of the few Pokemon that was near perfect in competitive it really didn't need a mega in the first place in fact regular Garchomp is so good no one even uses its mega even Sara B says regular golf shop outclasses its mega even with design I still think Garchomp is better than its mega form gosh up in my opinion just has one of the most solid Pokemon designs and the fact that Garchomp outclasses its own mega in competitive and design that's really saying something the breaks Sceptile the Treecko line in my opinion is possibly the best designed three-stage evolution all three stages look great but of course the best design of all three in my opinion is sceptile it's probably the coolest looking grass type Pokemon in the game it's one of the few grass starters that actually stands on two feet and it really takes advantage of its grass typing a cool green looking dinosaur creature that has leaves forearm blades and a freaking tree as a tail it also helps that the anime expands and how good set Tower looks I can't really see how they could make sceptile look any cooler the only way I think it could is if maybe they made sceptile a dragon-type and it stares already so big they'd have to make it like a Christmas tree or something oh my god number seven greninja everyone loves ninjas everyone loves frogs I think fuse them together and you have one of the coolest looking Pokemon ever and arguably the most popular pick one of the sixth generation and I think Game Freak knew was going to be the star of the sixth gen since they were developing greninja in smash before X&Y came outs now understandably some people have been turned off by grinning injures designs since the fact that uses its tongue as a scar I did think it was pretty weird at first but somehow the tongue stuff really grown me and if a Pokemon is gonna have its tongue sticking out all the time greninja is at least using its tongue for something but aside from the tongue greninja in my opinion is just one of the coolest design Pokemon number six hi dragon you can't really go wrong with a three-headed black dragon now the fifth generation of Pokemon probably wasn't the most popular generation when it came to Pokemon designs and yes while I do think there were some stinkers there were also some absolute gems and how dragon is one of them of course the three-headed dragon concept is nothing new as plenty of other franchises have their own three-headed dragon but hi dragon still has his own style while still feeling like a pokum it's wings are cool his tail and legs actually look like they've been ripped off it's color scheme fits really well and I don't know what hairstyle this is on it's three heads but it really suits it if you love dragons and you look kind of black then there's a good chance that you like hi dragon number five packs are us it was very difficult picking between the two fits Jen dragon types since both their designs are great but in the end I give this slight edge to Haxorus just because it looks slightly more menacing and in my opinion slightly more awesome looking for a dragon and well I guess it doesn't look like it has parts of its body being ripped off even though it's the Dragon type Haxorus looks a bit more like a dinosaur than the dragon and Haxorus color is usually seen as a yucky yellowy greenish color but Haxorus somehow pulls up really well much better than just about any other fictional dragon I've seen put that on top of the black and red and the reptilian design and you have an awesome looking Pokemon but how did you make the awesome Dragon hook one look even more awesome I don't know maybe but freakin acts on its face out of all the dragon-type pokémon Haxorus might just be the most badass looking number for Volcarona for the most part book types are pretty damn weak which means they're also going to be pretty weak looking but by far one of the best book types competitive wise and in my opinion design wise is Volcarona it's also a fire-type and its design meshes the book and fire typings amazingly well a giant moth with flame-coloured wings just makes it one of the most majestic looking pokemon we did have a moth book one in the fourth generation but a lot of people found moth them to be pretty underwhelming and also kind of forgettable oh Corona on the other hand is the much more memorable and much more powerful more Pokemon and definitely one of the Pokemon greats from the fifth generation and have thought of me calling a bug Pokemon that also looks like a book majestic but it really is so if you're a fan of beautiful looking Pokemon there's pretty good chance that you like the look of Volcarona unless you're misty in that case you've probably terrified of it number three Nidoking like Metagross Nidoking is a perfect blend of all the things it's based on it has elements of a rhinoceros a gorilla a rabbit and a porcupine his sign isn't overly complicated it's just the right amount here less really is more the purple color is just the right shade to make Nidoking look both menacing and cool-looking at the same time now when I was looking through images of Nidoking figuring out where to put it on the list I did find some images of it that I thought looked kind of iffy even that sixth-generation sprite I don't think is the best looking neither Kings ever been in fact his red and blue sprite that still looks amazing luckily how Nidoking looks now is still my opinion one of the absolute best pokemon designs also its cry not only does neither King have one of the best book 1 designs but it also has one of the best Pokemon cries number two Lucario yeah yeah I know my mascot pick one is high on the list call me biased even though I'm really not being biased I mean look at Lucario it just looks great I didn't pick Lucario as the second best Pokemon design because he's my mascots Lucario is my mascot because in my opinion he has one of the best Pokemon designs and whoa lucaris design isn't the only reason why I picked him as my mascot if I was really being biased Lucario would have been number one unless I legitimately did think he had the best Pokemon design and Game Freak seems to also love Lucario the amount of stuff lekar is getting into is pretty crazy even before the 4th generation Lucario got into both the 3rd gen anime and even some of the third gen spin-off games in terms of design the car is apparently based off the Egyptian god Anubis which is already a great start along with an African warlord jackal and this combination along with the black and blue color scheme just comes out looking so good the character me if just feels like one of them was perfectly designed Pokemon I've never really heard anyone complain anything about the Curry's look actually that's a lie one minor complaint I've heard is that no curry looks like is wearing shorts yeah I do also see that but it's never been a problem for me I've never seen any negative aspect of a Lucario that could take away from the rest of it designer looks so good one thing I have wondered about Lucario is how they picked the name it's just a really cool sound me lucario lucario may be derived from the reverse of the Japanese transliteration of orichalcum a mythical metal so that's why the car is a steel type interesting anyway I could go on about the cars design it is still in my opinion one of the absolute best and my pick for the number one best design Pokemon is scissor to me sisal has to have the coolest sleekest looking design out of any Pokemon it just looks amazing and the color they decided to give it they could have been like oh let's just keep it green but no they decided for a little hot rod red in there now cytha is already a cool-looking pokemon an old favourite online looking at it it's pretty difficult to think at a game for you could possibly make cypher look even cooler oh wait they freaking did if you think about it this all is basically an Ironman suit for cytha so if it is the equivalent to a regular guy sizzle is the Ironman suit yes is ours pretty slow compared to cytha this isn't in my opinion just has a highly improved design its pincers look great his body looks great its wings are actually kind of useless since it can't fly but they also look good and as I said before the wreck Allah they decided to go with just adds the finishing touch to what I think is the absolute coolest looking Pokemon in my opinion the best pokemon design belongs to scizor and that's it for my top 10 best pokemon designs list please remember that this list is just my opinion there is no official best pokemon design and my list is almost definitely going to be different from everyone else's list I know a lot of the list may have just looked like the coolest designs list but I do for the most part thing that the cooler designs are the best ones as always be sure to LIKE and subscribe if you did enjoy this
