Top 10 Amazon Classroom Finds | Amazon Teacher Must Haves

[Music] good evening [Music] hello my name is Melody Munch I'm a second grade teacher in Oklahoma this is my eighth year of teaching and I have accumulated slowly but surely over the years lots of helpful things for my classroom and today I wanted to share my top 10 favorite Amazon finds because I love a good Amazon sale I love having my Prime Membership so these are things that would be able to be reached by many people you could order them for yourself via the links below so it's always fun to share Amazon finds because many people use it and they ship so quickly and it's just easy to return things if you end up not liking them so that is why I love sharing Amazon good Amazon fine so I'm going to share my top 10 with you it's gonna be hard to only think 10 but all of those 10 will be linked in the description below so that you can find those and grab for yourself if it's something you're interested okay so let's get started so my absolute number one Amazon find that I could not live without is my slide clicker this comes in black and white and as you can see I am not very good at changing batteries so I had to tape it but it's the simplest little tool it comes with a little Zip drive that you plug into your computer and then it'll make a little chime when it connects and you put batteries in the light comes on and then when your slides Google or PowerPoint are in display mode you can change them from anywhere in your room with a click of a button and you can enable if you're in Google side you can even enable videos to auto play when you go to that slide I like to actually physically hit most of them but sometimes I Auto play things so so helpful use it all day every day so I really could not live without that especially since in this room my slides and display are way up here but the computer is way back there so it would be highly inconvenient to go run back there have a student running back there to change the slide there is supposed to be a way to do it on the board itself but it's just not very trusty so this has been a game changer for me saved so much time and so easy there's also a little light feature that I use occasionally I I typically use it for like oh you need an expo marker yup remember they're over there yep over there but I don't use that a ton and then let's see oh the volume that is also really handy when we're watching a video or playing music you can adjust the volume from the side here I believe it's around 15 sometimes the price does fluctuate but this is definitely something you need if you use classroom slides and if you don't that could be a whole other video because I find slides absolutely essential to our day that is by far my number one Amazon find for the classroom I can already tell this is going to be so much harder than I thought because I keep thinking of way too many things but I'm going to go with number two as these magnetic shelves they are just spice racks they come in black as well and they're perfect because they're very very sturdy and they give me storage on the board here that I would not have otherwise they make it really really functional like I have to pull that pretty hard it's like really really sturdy so I love having those there are lots of other great magnetic tools that you can find on Amazon but that is definitely a must-have for me I love those magnetic shelves right next to those and number three I think I'm gonna pick these magnetic erasers because I just always struggled with finding or getting out my other regular dry erase boards so I love that these are magnetic and they're just really easy to keep nearby I have one on that white board and on my other one and they sell them in four packs too so if you have a ton of them you can get more if you need but I love that I can have one on both the boards for whenever I'm writing and as a little bonus I found these really bright vibrant colorful markers on Amazon you can use any Expo type of dry erase marker but I have really enjoyed these and I love the different colors they come with so that'll be a little bonus one we'll just say whiteboard supplies as our third item this fourth must-have from Amazon is a really really good one it is the remote controlled at lights outlet for remote controlled Outlets the one I got comes with five different plug-ins and I have them all over the room and I even have extension cords and power strips so that multiple things can be plugged into them so one of the best ones is up here I just have to hand plug those lights in every morning and now they're on a switch so I just hit one to turn these on and then the other side to turn them off and it's so great so I used to manually turn everything on every morning and now I can just hit the buttons and then I have student helpers that are light helpers that turn them off that makes it so so simple that you can do it all look like it also comes with two controllers so I have one up here and one by my desk so well I'm having that would highly recommend if you like some Ambiance in your room I love starting the day with the lamps on lights off and then sometimes if we're doing like reading group time it's just kind of a like calmer mood so I love being able to use the lamps and that helps so much with that number five has got to be these Amazon wooden stools prior to using them there's actually four I had another one on this table for filming things earlier but I used to have Ikea stools that were really inexpensive but they started really falling apart after my third year and we would have to repair them a lot because it held up much better and I just love them in the perfect height for this group table or kidney table whatever you like to call it and I love that they are just neutral wood color that goes with the rest of the room really really well they are a bit of an expense but there would be a great wishlist item I actually had a parent of the classroom purchase these for us so they have been great for group and very very sturdy for number six I'm going with my office chair I just really loved the look of this one I find it to be very comfortable and I love the color of it also comes in other colors I liked it so much I even got a pink one for my home office because I just love the look of it it's really simple I mean it's not the most expensive chair in the world but I didn't really want that because it's for the classroom right but I have had some marker get on it and I just tried to kind of spot clean it and it seems to work just fine so that is something I've really enjoyed having it's definitely not a need it's more of a want item but I feel like it just really elevated my whole teacher workspace from my regular office chair and I'm going to sit there so often that I felt like it was worth it for number seven we're gonna go with some desk supplies so I love this cute little spotted mouse pad and this clock both of those have been great additions to my desk I actually do not have an analog clock in the classroom at all so this was really helpful because if I forgot my watch I was like I'm out of luck just running to find my phone to keep track of what time it was so that's really helpful that I can use that and be at the front of the room and check the clock or be back here and the students also refer to it so I love having that and the mouse pad it's just so cute and I love that it goes with other neutral black and white spotty things in the classroom a bonus desk item has got to be these cute little fabric coasters I love these it came in a two pack so I have another one at the front of the room on my rolling cart perfect for if I have like Starbucks drinks that has condensation or something and it's just adorable even though my Stanley doesn't have condensation I just think it's a great place for it and love having those okay I know this is technically not a classroom item but it kind of is because my teacher backpack is an essential item to me I love having this for every single day it is so large it creates absolutely everything I have a little purse in there I have my laptop essential things like my charger it has a great laptop pouch have them for a folder even has this big pouch that I rarely use and some other little pouches and then it has a nice front pocket which is where I usually keep my lanyard and two really big Side Pockets some sunglasses and I usually put my keys in one of those so love love this backpack it comes in other color combinations as well and it's often on sale if you wait until like a prime day type so it is often on sale the tassels were from a cute little Etsy seller named Reese and Co and this little identification thing was from Target it was in like the little luggage section of the dollar spot a couple years ago so that is my backpack and I love it I'm gonna go with some calm Corner supplies you may have heard me talk about how we have three calm Corners in our room I love having a calming breathing type book at each one I also love having these mindful mazes they're like different ones to help with them with their breathing is to breathe in now as they trace along them these what are these called um I can't remember what these called I just call them the little marble fidgets I think they have a different name that I can't remember at the moment but they came in a huge pack love those this was once on Amazon I'm not sure if it's still is it was a Carson delosa thing so you can also get it from their website um but I thought it can also be found on Amazon or at least it used to be these cards have come apart those were from another calm kit that I got I tried to really make all three of our stations have a lot of options so that regardless of which one students are at or if multiple students are at them they can go there and this was from just like a Five Below but I got also a huge pop it pack from Amazon and that's been great I'd have some of those at each station and we did like a class auction at the end of last year so that was a fun item to have as part of the auction I should probably it's beautiful as the book cover is probably better to not okay but that is um number nine I think here's another calming corner with a different calming book another calm maze this is a calming glitter bottle that our specialist teachers made for all the classes that was really sweet idea and then there's some more things in here here is our other calm Corner got another Maze and pop it and book these are also great the only thing I don't love is you don't get to pick your color at least from the one I ordered it was just random but love having that in here as well as a few Fluffy Friends last but not least number 10 I think has to be the classroom rug I've talked about this before but this rug has just been perfect it's an eight by ten and it seats all my students I do have the back row double as a student desk and the students sit in on top of the desk if they're in the third row just because our classroom isn't super wide so I just have to make the most of our space but it's been a great fit I do have some students sit like right off of the rug on the carpet but it's not a big deal it's just a great Central space to the classroom and I love the look of it it's held up really well and I got a killer killer deal on it for Prime day so again Be watchful of that but I love this rug I also got this small rug that's in the tent from Amazon and I waited till that was on a prime deal as you can tell I'm a bargain girl which is probably why I love Amazon because oftentimes things do get marks down but I love this alphabet one that belongs in our tent and both of those are from Amazon I hope you
