TINY Bike Shop in Valencia is AWESOME!

[Music] [Applause] hey there everybody we are here in the town of Valencia for the CIA uh Bike Expo we've got some spare time in between we've heard that Valencia is a pretty biky Place uh so we're going to do some exploring by bike looks pretty good so far based on what we've walked past ton of bike rental shops uh and speaking of bike rentals we're going to pick up our rental bikes and what are they prompton yay are you excited to actually bike through a different city I am actually yeah let's go check out valenia and uh pick up some bromin yay made it to the bike rental [Music] okay bromton have been acquired a little bit of an issue we had reserved two but they only had one analog one this is a pine so Laura has the got the electric sea line we got like half the electric um I opted to not take the battery pack um in part because it weighs a ton but also I don't know just being in a vacation run that gets really hot just made me a little nervous just got the motor on the wheel but no battery so it's going to go analog style ready sure [Music] so successfully picked up a hat uh now we're going to check out a local bike shop called a good bike Valencia uh what do you think of riding through the city so far oh my gosh it's kind of great and crazy there's like these cycle tracks on all the main roads which is amazing because then you get to where you want to go but then you're on these like giant roads with people crossing and trash pickup and you bikes and scooters and haven't been around that many people in a long time it feels like the the bike version of the video game Crazy Taxi it's just so much to keep track of all right so this is the bike shop uh you can tell it's our people by the bikes parked out front I think that's the first like saddle bag I've seen since we've been in Spain yeah yeah I think you're [Music] right we're here at good bike Valencia we sort of crashed Fernando working on a cargo bike here this is a pretty cool Ora he said it's about 6 or seven years old and they don't make it anymore 5-speed internal Hub um super tiny space but packed with lots of interesting things what bikes do you do you guys specialize in are City bikes road bikes now a gravel bikes see but everything we work with every type of bikes and little bit little bit starting to make some frames also in the in the states gravel and bike packing is pretty popular how popular is it here oh Valencia is little bit famous now and now there are some routs around Valencia with to bik back into to gravel and this Roda Kam sors 30 kilm from here starts via ver oos Negros it's a green W very very easy mhm and go to Terell okay a lot of people start here until Terell or make Montas vas and then come back to finish in Valencia to take a plane it's very popular y on Saturday we have a social ride for be nice if you want to come you are you can come with us how old is the shop uh we start on on 2009 start with a very popular fix movement H was dead we we go to another place or we go to another way to repair everything yeah to make M bike wheels gravel grills ER bik packings H downstairs I saw a brand Nell uh what's that H Nell it was a a valencian brand started in last of 70s M and they Daring 7 80s 90s and when the lightweight fever starts on 204 2003 they were the best of Steel m First Years of carbon frames 200 five six ER people don't want the steal steel and they need to to close yeah but the Still Still ones were made in in Valen is this a jig for for making frames or a rear jig a rear handmade jig for the ER rear wheel okay put here made oh cool in five or six hours uh cutting cool everything more less it's very very easy it's not the best you know for my first frames yeah is is working yeah but I'm thinking about to to take another one yeah this is to weld cantil lever pivots oh okay cool for the fork and this is another of my Creations oh okay but in the other way like this yeah okay I see this is for the to make the down Parts mhm so what do you do on this table is this just to straighten the frame or yeah just bottom bracket there okay with the okay with the tools to take just a measure yeah Fe the same so you chose the say because it it's flat and doesn't Bend right yeah yeah you need a special perfect of most of the perfectly uh place to to measure yeah you can make some frames but not fast not best but you can make it to start is possible to start is possible make the numbers and some parts to well also brackets Richard scks oh cool uh four crowns yeah or classic or 1 in when you make the frame do you do a fulls size print out h no but you use like B cat and then yes I have the bik cat I have the cats from from B cat okay yeah I measure everything got the tubes and then I put in a here mhm I have a a bender oh cool Fork a fork Bender yes and always very very important to write all of your bad things and and good things to don't repair it or to to learn ni yes so on the on the bike shop side do you guys do mostly repairs or do you sell new bikes used bikes repairs I love to repairs yeah I'm a bad bad Siller but I think I'm better repairing and I I love to repair to create some things to solve some things to repair that o i Fork it's broke or my I broke my seat there's no problem we take out with cut we put something we drill and we put a oh it's repair yeah yeah just you need to to paint the the the BR yes but it's you can use for another 10 yours in the in the US we call that mcgyver you know do you know MacGyver yeah yeah of course with my brother I I see I watch a lot of a
