>> TIM LEE: Thank you, brother. Well, thank you so much. Thank you. Pastor Prevo is a wonderful friend. A great church-one of the great churches in
the state of Alaska, and I've been going up for... I guess I've been with Anchorage Baptist Temple
probably over 30 times, a remarkable church. And the board members are leaving to go back
and do business. If you all would vote me a raise while you're
over there. Well, to be quite truthful and frank with
you, I would much rather just stay in here then to go back to be with the board members. We'll have a great time in here, and they'll
be bored. I mean, they're going to the board meeting. But if you brought a Bible this morning, find
the book of Nehemiah. I'm going to preach an old-fashioned message
today. A lot of times I give my story. I kind of do a motivational deal or something
else, but I feel like just raring back and preaching and old fashioned, hard-hitting
message. Some of you young people are from churches
where your pastors preach those kind of messages and rare back and preach the truth. And so, the problem with a lot of pulpits
in America today, they've got a lot of girly men in them. We need, we need men with courage, and backbone. And God said get up and preach it like it
is to people the way they are without fear, without favor, without apology. That's the kind of preacher, that's the kind
of preacher that built this country and made America great to start with. And so, I want to share with you, those of
you who were here in April, we honored my granddaughter outside in a special Convocation. On January 7 of last year, my oldest granddaughter
and I were headed to Jacksonville, Florida, where we would get a rental car and then drive
to Beaufort, South Carolina where on Sunday morning I would speak to about 3,000 marines
and marine recruits. We've been doing this for five years now. We go four or five times a year. Every time we go it's a brand-new recruit
class. We go in for Sunday morning. We have church from an hour and a half to
two hours without any restrictions. We bring in a worship team-Mark Ivey, one
of the great worship leaders in America. They come with a praise team from Jacksonville,
Florida. They don't see the B team;
they send the A team, the best they have. They've been to every one of our events, all
18 of them there at MCRD Parris Island. And they lead worship and praise songs just
like you sang here this morning. And to hear 4,000 marine recruits singing
"God's Not Dead," I'm telling you; it will put goosebumps on top of your goosebumps. And then I get up and preach, and I give a
public invitation. And this is a conservative number. In 18 events that we've done there and three
that we've done in MCRD San Diego, we've seen 24,000 marines and marine recruits get out
of their seats and come and give their hearts to Jesus Christ. It's been the most amazing thing. When Emma and I landed in Jacksonville, we
turned on our phones. They began to light up, and we soon had the
tragic news that Emma's two sisters and her friends on an ATV had been hit behind by a
pickup truck going 75 miles an hour. My granddaughter Ally, 16 years of age, was
killed instantly, and Sarah and Kristin, their friend, was para flighted to hospitals in
the Dallas Fort Worth area and facing a lot of serious problems, but God has done a miracle
in both of their lives. Sarah actually played volleyball this season
and we called her a miracle girl. But Ally Michelle only lived 16 years, but
she did more living in 16 years than a lot of people do in 60 years. She was a beautiful young lady. She was smart. She loved volleyball and basketball. Oftentimes, the high score-she would never
tell you that. I would ask her how many points she scored. She would always tell me what her team did. It was never about her. More important than anything, she loved God. She didn't just talk about loving God. She genuinely loved God. And her and her sister-her sister had gone
to Belize a couple years ago, Emma, and came back and told us all about it. So, Ally was fired up, and she wanted to go. And so, they went to Belize a year ago, and
they were going to go back this year. And they were excited about it, fired up. I remember Ally had led a couple little girls
to the Lord while she was there, so fired up excited. But then a few months before she was to go
back to Belize, she texted her mom one day an unusual text, we all thought, because she
was so fired up and excited about going to Belize. But she said to her mother, I've been praying
about the Belize trip, and I haven't heard the Lord telling me that I should go. I feel like there's another opportunity waiting
somewhere for me. I want to go back with all my heart, but I
also want to listen to what the Lord is telling me. I'm very eager to see what God has planned
for me, and I think there is an opportunity waiting for me. And there was an opportunity, the greatest
opportunity for anyone on January the 7, when in a split second she was in the presence
of the true and the living God. My daughter, one of the most godliest women
I've ever known. And she writes on Facebook. I would encourage you to follow her story,
Jana Lee Hooten, since January the 7th. It would encourage you, and help you, and
bless you. Yes, we all hurt. I've cried more the last nine and a half months
than I've cried my whole life, because I miss her. But we have a hope, and we didn't want to
get bitter. We didn't want to get angry. We didn't want to get mad. They asked me to give an invitation at her
home-going service. I gave a public invitation with 1,500 in the
building and 220,000 watching online. 262 people texted that day that they had received
Jesus Christ as their Savior. Though she was gone, she was still having
an impact and an influence over lives. Young people, you have no idea how long God
is going to let you live. You may live to be 100, and then again, you
may not live to see the sun come up tomorrow. So, if God gives you 24 hours or 24 years
or more beyond that, make your life count for Him. You'll never regret it, and you'll never be
sorry. I want to teach to you from the book of Nehemiah. I'm going to preach fast this morning, so
I want you to listen fast. This is important stuff that I'm getting ready
to tell you today. I'm going to tell you from my heart. This is a burden for me. I'm an evangelist. I travel, on a normal year, 50 weeks a year
across the country. And I preach in revival crusades, and harvest
Sundays, and special conferences and meetings. But my two main burdens other than number
one, honoring God in all that we do in our ministry. But number two is to see souls saved. I want to see people come to Christ. That's my burden. And then, number three is a burden for revival. This is, as an evangelist, I want to see revival
in my generation. I want to be able to have my children and
my grandchildren to be able to say we had revival in our day. I read about the revivals of yesterday, and
I love reading about the revivals of yesterday, but I want to see real, genuine, Holy Ghost,
God-sent revival in our day. The words of Nehemiah the son of Hachaliah:
"And it came to pass in the month Chisleu, in the twentieth year as I was in Shushan
the palace, that Hanani, one of my brethren, came, he and certain men of Judah;
and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left to the captivity,
and concerning Jerusalem. And they said unto me, 'The remnant that are
left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the
wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.'" Get the picture. Nehemiah is in the King's palace. He's actually a slave to the king. He's a cupbearer. But, if you're going to be a slave, this would
be the kind of slave you would want to be. Instead of being in a hot field of hard labor
all day, he's in the king's palace. He's able to associate himself with the highest
authority in the land. He has job security. Everything is great in Nehemiah's life. There are no problems in Nehemiah's life. Everything's going good until this day. On this day, a message comes to Nehemiah that
is going to turn his life upside-down. Have you ever had a message turn your life
upside down? I'm not talking about when you got saved. I'm not talking about when you trusted Christ. I'm talking about since you became a Christian,
have you ever heard a message, a sermon preached that God took that message and literally turned
your life upside-down? That's exactly what happens to Nehemiah. Well, you say, Tim, that must have been one
great message. That must have been powerful. That must have been so encouraging and so
positive. No, it was a very negative message, as a matter
of fact. In verse number three again, "And they said
unto me the remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction
and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down,
and the gates thereof are burned with fire." There's not a positive word in the message. It's a very discouraging word and a very depressing
word. All the times we want preachers to tell us
how great we are and how wonderful we are and pat us on the back and continually tell
us that we're okay. But, friend, the truth of the matter is every
once in a while, we need a preacher who believes the Bible is the Word of God to get up and
preach us the truth and tell it like it is and not worry about stepping on toes and not
worrying about offending someone. Oftentimes, messages from this Word will offend
us, and it will upset us. And it will turn the apple cart over. And this is what happens to Nehemiah. This message grips Nehemiah. It is so strong. It is so powerful. He begins in verse number four. What does he do? Well, let me suggest what he could have done
to Hachaliah and these other guys. He could've gotten very angry at them. That's oftentimes what happens when we have
someone tell us the truth. We get angry or we get mad. Or, he could get passive about it. He could've said to those guys, well what
do you expect of me? I can't leave here. I'm a slave. But I tell you what, if you go do something
about the problem, I'll pray for you. That's the attitude of a lot of Christians
in America today. "I'm not going to get my hands dirty." "I'm not going to get my feet wet." But if you go do something about the problem,
I'll pray for you. That's not what Nehemiah does look at verse
number four. "And it came to pass, when I heard these words,
that I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days, and fast, and prayed before the God
of heaven." Oh my, this message is so powerful. This passage is so great. This message is so strong he cannot even remain
standing. He has to sit down. And when he sits down, he begins weeping. And he begins to mourn, and he begins to fast,
and he begins to pray over the condition of Jerusalem. When's the last time that you were so broken
for your nation that you actually shed tears. I believe that we ought to be involved in
the whole process. I believe you ought to be registered to vote. I believe you ought to vote. Don't tell me, a man who gave two legs for
this country how much you love America if you won't go to the voting poll and vote. I'm not asking you to give two legs;
I'm asking you to go vote. But we who are revival-believing Christians,
we don't believe that any party's going to save America. The Republican party's not going to save America. The Democratic party, no Independent is going
to save America. If America is changed, it'll be because God's
people decided they will be who and what God intended for us to be. Oswald Chamber said concerning prayer that
prayer does not lead us to the greater work. Prayer is the greater work. And this prayer begins to consume Nehemiah. This isn't a little three or four-minute trip
to the altar after a red-hot sermon. This is something that gets ahold of him,
and it won't let go. And he begins to pray. Look at part of his prayer in verse number
6. He said to God, "Let thine ear now be attentive,
and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before
thee now, day and night." Not just a little trip to the altar. "Day and night for the children of Israel
thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against
thee: both I and my father's house have sinned." And for this message this morning, the key
word in verse number six is the little word "I." And what's Nehemiah been doing so bad? Has he been out getting drunk? Has he been out blaspheming, cursing, taking
God's name in vain? Been reading and looking at pornography? No. What' he been doing so bad? That's his problem. He hasn't been doing anything. Ladies and gentlemen, often the sins of omission
can be as great, if not greater, than the sins of commission. We know what's wrong with the prostitute and
the drug addict. We know what's wrong with the homosexual,
and the pornographer, and the abortionist. But watch out when it comes to self. The black people of America used to sing an
old spiritual. "It's me. It's me. It's me, oh Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Not my brother, not my sister, but it's me,
oh Lord." We don't sing it like that today. We sing, "It's them. It's them. It's them, oh Lord. If they would just get right with God, we
could have revival." That's not the way it works. It starts with self. It starts with me examining myself. And so, now look, if you would, at the condition
in verse number nine. He said, "But if ye turn." The little word "if" is a conditional word. Where else do we find that? We find it in the matter of salvation. "If thou shall confess with thou mouth the
Lord Jesus and believe in thine heart that God has raised Him from the dead, thou shalt
be saved. The condition for a backslider, in 1 John
1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness." The condition for national revival. 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people which are
called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways." Hey, we don't mind preachers preaching the
first three things. If we're humble, if we'll pray, if we'll seek. It's the fourth one that bothers us. If we will turn from our wicked ways. Who turn from their wicked ways? The abortionist? No. The pornographers? No. If God's people will turn from their wicked
ways, then will I hear from Heaven and will forgive their sins, and will heal their land. Ladies and gentlemen, the responsibility of
America coming back to God does not lie out in the world;
it lies with God's people, people like in this building right here right now. Now, listen to this. This is so important. In verse number 11, Nehemiah is praying. And he said, "Oh Lord, I beseech thee, let
now thine ear be attentive to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of thy servants,
who desire to fear thy name: and prosper, I pray thee, thy servant this day, and grant
him mercy in the sight of this man." And listen to this last statement. "For I was the king's cupbearer." I wonder why he said he was. Why does he put in the past tense? I was the king's cupbearer. I'll tell you why. He's getting ready to resign his position. How do you resign being a slave? You don't, yourself. God has to do that for you. But you see friends, listen. I don't believe it bothers the devil too much
that we come here and hear messages from the Word of God. I read somewhere this week where someone has
said that Liberty University is an obstacle or opposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It's one of the weirdest statements I've ever... I've been coming to Liberty and Thomas Road
Baptist Church since the early '80s. This is a place where the Gospel is preached. This is a place where lives are changed. This is... Anywhere in the world that you want to go
to hear the Gospel, you come here, and you will hear the death, and the burial, and the
resurrection of Jesus Christ preached constantly on this campus and on this property. But listen to me. I don't believe it bothers the Devil that
we hear a lot of messages. We could come to church and shout, and sing,
and pray, and get up, and lift our hands up. And all that's great, and all that's wonderful,
but listen. If when we leave the building, if when we
leave the building we don't take it and do something with it, then the Devil hasn't been
bothered by what we did at the building. It makes a difference. You can be a hearer of the Word, but if you're
not a doer of the Word, then the Devil is not bothered by it. So, what is Nehemiah going to do? Where's he going? If he's leaving the palace and he's got the
job security. He's a cupbearer to the king, where's he going? It must be a great place. He's going to Jerusalem. And what's in Jerusalem? Broken walls, gates that have been burned,
a people that are in reproach, and affliction. Why, why would he give up the king's palace
to go to that disaster, to go to that mess? Because he's heard the call of God. You know, it concerns me today as an evangelist,
and I travel across the country, is that we're not seeing as many young men surrender to
preach the Gospel as we used to 20, 25 years ago. Where are we going to get our preachers from? The University of Virginia, University of
Texas? I don't think so. You're going to get them from places just
like right here at Liberty University. You say, well Tim, I've got my life all planned
out. I know exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to get this degree. I'm going to make some money. I'm going to be lawyer. I'm going to be a doctor. There's nothing wrong with being a lawyer. There's nothing wrong with being a doctor. There's nothing wrong with being whatever
it is that you think that it is you're supposed to be. But what about, just what about if God wanted
you to be a preacher. But I'm not talking about just surrendering
to fulltime ministry to God. I'm talking about to preach, being an evangelist,
being a pastor, to be a missionary, and to spend the rest of your life with this book
telling people the good news of the Gospel. And try to stir people up about revival. The greatest calling there's ever been is
the call to preach the Word of God. And I want to show you one last thing this
morning. There is so much more than I want to share
with you, and I won't have time this morning, but this book of Nehemiah, from the Old Testament
perspective, one of the greatest books on real revival than there is in the whole Bible. I charge you to read it, especially chapters
one through chapter number eight. It's unbelievable the things that happen. Nehemiah goes before the king in chapter number
two. And, remember, he's a slave, and yet the king
can understand that something is wrong. In verse number two he said, "Wherefore, the
king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? This is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was sore afraid." You know what? Nehemiah was pretty much a happy guy. He had a smile on his face most of the time. He did his job. I don't care what it is that you're working
at or doing, do it with a smile. Do it happy. I get tired of pulling up to McDonalds, and
somebody on the other end of the speaker is already mad at me before I've even said anything. If you don't like what you're doing, then
go find something that you do enjoy doing. Amen. I don't want to be around negative people
all the time. I get tired of being around people who complain,
and gripe, and bellyache all the time. They're never happy. Did you ever ask somebody how they were doing
and they told you? Hey, it's a figure of speech. We don't want your medical history. I'm not talking about somebody that's had
a horrible accident or some terminal disease, but, "Oh, I stubbed my toe!" Hey, be glad you got one to stump. How's that working out for you? When Nehemiah's before the king and the king
can tell something's wrong. And he said, "Then I was very sore afraid." He said to the king in verse number three,
"Let the king live forever: why should not by countenance be sad, when the city, the
place of my fathers' sepulchers, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?" Ladies and gentlemen, there is a time to be
sad. There is a time to weep. There is a time to mourn. When you see the condition of your nation
and you see the enemies, I'm not so much worried about the enemies of North Korea, Iran, or
other places around the world; I'm worried about the enemies and concerned
about the enemies in America today who are trying to destroy this nation from within. This is a great example of why you should
be burdened for America. I hear many Christians and preachers saying
we spend too much emphasis on America and the condition of the nation and try to repair
America and rebuild America. Well, ladies and gentlemen, there's not another
place where we can all load up on boats and go to and start all over like the pilgrims
did. This is it. And that's why need to draw a line in the
sand and say enough is enough. We're not going to let you have America. We're going to take it back inch by inch,
and foot by foot, and alley by alley, and street by street, and town by town, and city
by city until we can once again say one nation under God. So, here's what I want you to see as I close. Look if you would at chapter number two in
verse 17. Nehemiah has gone with others to survey Jerusalem. It's even worse than Hanani and the others
reported. "Then said I unto them, ye see the distress
that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire:
come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach." This is one man, one man with a burden from
God to go down to the city to say let's rebuild it. "And then I told them of the hand of my God." You see, the king has now made provisions
for him. He's given him protection, and miracles have
been worked for Nehemiah that he's going to be able to get all of the resources that he's
going to need to rebuild the walls. He said, "I told them that the hand of God
which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken
unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this
good work." Ladies and gentlemen, young people, all the
time when God is getting ready to do a great work, mark it down. The enemy is going to come out of the woodwork. There is not a place in America, there is
not a place in the world today anywhere close to being similar to Liberty University. This is unusual. This is unique. And though many of you have studied the history,
some of you might now know. They introduced Dr. Borg, and I came on the
board here in 1991, when this university was almost 100 million dollars in debt and there
was no way to pay it back. And it looked like we were going to have to
file for bankruptcy. They were tough days. They were hard days. And so many sacrifices were paid and so many
people prayed, and so many people worked, and so many people gave to build up. It doesn't take a big man to tear something
down. You build a beautiful building, it takes weeks. It takes months, maybe even a year or more. I can bring a D9 Caterpillar in at 6 o'clock
in the morning, and by 12 noon, I could have that place destroyed. It doesn't take a big man to tear something
down; It takes a big man to build something. And something is being built here on this
mountain, something unusual. I believe that God is going to use this university,
if the Lord tarries his coming. And we can see a real, genuine-I'm talking
about a revival. And I don't use the word carelessly, but that
is the best word, because it's a biblical word. And we could see such a great revival break
out here on this mountain that could turn this university upside-down for God, turn
Lynchburg upside-down for God, and to spread to regions, and regions, and regions beyond
right here. You say, but Tim, I'm just one person. That's all Nehemiah was, just one person. Yet God took him. The enemies came out of the woodwork. The critics came out of the woodwork. I don't have time to read it all to you now,
but they came out of the woodwork. They tried to discourage. They got angry with him. They laughed at him. And then they even tried to get him in conversation
to talk to him to say, hey, let's come on down here. Let's talk about this. You know what Nehemiah said? No, I'm doing such a great work. I can't come down off of this wall and be
distracted. I'm going to keep doing the work that God
has called me to do. And so, it is. When you find yourself called of God, and
God begins to do a great work in your life, and something good and powerful begins to
happen, mark it down, not everybody's going to appreciate you. Not everyone's going to pat you on the back. Not everyone's going to think it's such a
great thing. There will be critics. There will be people trying to laugh at you. They'll get angry at you, and they'll even
try to stop you and talk you out of it. And God called me to preach on January 14,
1973. On a Sunday night, I went forward in my Dad's
church. I had only been back from Vietnam for just
a little time. And I began to think God wanted me to preach. I didn't want to preach. I was raised in a preacher's home. My dad was a Southern Baptist pastor for 60
years, and I didn't want to be a preacher. I thought about getting in politics. I did. I ran for town council and got elected, but
it's easy to get elected when nobody runs against you. And I began to believe that God was calling
me to preach. And here I am. At that time, maybe weighed 110 pounds, and
I was still weak from Vietnam and so many things going on in my life, and yet, God wouldn't
let go. So, I went forward on a Sunday night in my
dad's church. And I said, "Dad, I believe God's calling
me to preach." And my dad said, "Son, that doesn't surprise
me at all." Now when my brother, my youngest brother Mark
went to Dad years later and said, "Dad, I believe God's called me to preach," my Dad
said, bologna. But he was calling him to preach, and now
he's a successful pastor in Southern Illinois. But I went forward that night, and then Dad
told the congregation that I'd come to announce my call to ministry. And then my Dad did a very foolish thing. He said two weeks from tonight, Tim will preach
his first sermon right here. My Dad was from the old school. He really believed that if you were called
to preach that you ought to preach. So, two weeks later I prepared for two weeks
for this sermon. And I worked hard. I had enough material. I knew I had enough material to last me for
an hour. And I got up that night, and I preached for
seven minutes. That was some of repeat too. But then, I pastored for five years in a wheel
chair, and then, January 1st, 1979, God called me to be an evangelist. I've had the privilege to speak at some of
the largest churches in America in a wheel chair. Travelled this country, across the world preaching
in a wheelchair. Because friend, God called me, and I believe
in my heart of hearts, there are young men in this room here today that God's calling
you to preach, to be a pastor, to be an evangelist, to be a missionary. I want you to bow your heads this morning. I don't want anyone to disturb anyone. Right now, this is truly a holy moment for
just a minute, so please, I don't know what time it is. Nobody's said anything to me exactly what
time, so I'm trying to obey God today, so let's just obey Him for a few moments. In a prayerful attitude, I preached to Christians
today. That was the intent of this message, real
revival. I wonder today how many in this room would
say, Tim, I know I'm saved. I know I'm a Christian. I remember the day when old time conviction
came to my life, and I realized I was lost. And that day I repented of my sins. I received Jesus Christ as my Savior. Tim, I remember as though it happened ten
minutes ago. I'm saved, and I'm not the least bit ashamed
of it. Let me see your hands today. Hold them up high as a way of testimony. What a sight. You can take them down. If you could not raise your hand just now,
I appreciate you being honest. You could've put your hand up. I wouldn't have known the difference, but
you didn't do that. And in a moment, I want to pray for you. But before I do that, and folks, I'm being
serious. No playing games. No playing church. No playing games with God. How many in this room would say, Tim, I know
I'm a Christian, but the truth of the matter is that I haven't had much of a burden for
revival. Tim, if the truth be told, I've been kind
of sitting in the King's palace. I've been kind of taking it easy. I've been coasting along. Haven't cared too much one way or the other. But today I realize that I have a responsibility
that God's speaking to my heart with this burden. I don't want America to go to hell. If the Lord tarries His coming, and I get
married, and I have children, I don't want them to grow up in an America that doesn't
know God, that's turning its back on God. Tim, I want that kind of a burden. I want a real, genuine burden for that kind
of revival in my life, and in my home, and in my church, and my university. I want that kind of burden for a real revival. Let me see your hands today. Hold them up high. Hold them up high, why? You can take them down. In a moment, I'm going to ask those of you
that raised your hand to stand. Not yet, but I'm going to ask you to stand,
because we're going to pray together. Now listen, if you can't stand in Convo in
front of your peers and your friends, where will you ever hope to stand for God? So, in a moment, not yet, I'm going to ask
you to stand. I want to ask the question today. Now, I'm old school, and I understand that,
so you just bear with me. Don't get offended. Don't get upset. It's just me. But I'm speaking specifically right now to
the men, to the young men. Is there a young man or an adult man here
today that would say, Tim, I believe God may be calling me to preach, and you've never
publicly surrendered? You may not know whether it's to be a pastor,
or an evangelist, or a missionary, but I'm talking specifically about preaching the Word
of God. You say, Tim, I believe in my heart that God
may be calling me to preach. You've never publicly surrendered. Would you hold your hands up right now? Hold them up high. Hold them up high. Hold them up high. You can take them down. Now here's what I want you to do. I'm going to ask David Nasser if he'll leave
and come right on down front right over here on my left. And when I ask everyone to stand up in a moment,
I want every one of you guys that just raised your hand, I want you to go to David Nasser. He's not going to pray individually with you;
he's going to pray with you as a group. He'll give you a few minutes to get there. You say, Tim, is this important? It's vital. It's as important as me going forward in my
dad's church on a Sunday night. So, if you were serious and you weren't praying
games when you raised your hand just now, whenever I have all those that just raised
their hand a few moments ago, tons and tons of people, I want those guys that raised your
hands come straight over here. Why? I want him to know who you are. I want him to pray with you. And then he'll have you fill out a paper so
we'll have your name and be able to encourage you, help you. Now, while our heads are still bowed, I preached
to Christians. But there was Gospel sang from this platform
today. The death, the burial, and the resurrection-Jesus
paid it all. Somebody here without Jesus today, someone
here that's never been saved? I'm not talking about being Baptist, or Methodist,
or a Lutheran, or Church of Christ, or Assembly of God, or Catholic;
I'm talking about being saved. I'm talking about being born again. How many in this auditorium today would say,
Tim, the truth of the matter is I'm not for sure. Maybe a parent visiting today, God brought
you here on purpose by design. Is there someone in this room today would
say, Tim, truth of the matter is I'm not for sure that if I were to die right now I would
go to Heaven. And I don't want to go to hell, and I want
you to pray for me. Would you just put your hand up right now? Make sure I see it. Make sure I see it. Hold 'em up. Oh, I'm looking. I see hands being raised. You can take them down. I see hands. You can take them down. Now, we've got a great group right down front
here. Instead of you just standing in a moment,
I want you, when everyone else stands, those of you that just now raised your hands, to
come to these people right here at the front. They're going to know why you're coming, and
someone will take the Word of God and show you today how you can leave Vines Center knowing
for sure that if you die you'd go to Heaven. Wouldn't you like to know that and have that
promise? We're going to see Ally again. Ally's in Heaven. We have a hope that the world does not have. Wouldn't you like to have that hope? Don't care what people say. Don't worry about what people think. Only worry about what God thinks. Young men, you're going to come way over here
to my left. Pastor David Nasser. Those of you who are not 100% that you're
saved, you're going to come right here. The rest of you that raised your hand that
you want a burden for real revival, I want you to stand right now all over this building. If you were serious, stand right now. The rest of you guys who are coming to surrender
to preach, come right over here to David Nasser. If you're not for sure you're saved, come
right here. We're not waiting long. Come quickly. Come quickly. Come on, guys. If you were serious about the call of God
on your life, then come right now. Wow, wow. I know it takes courage. It takes a lot of guts to step out in front
of 12, 13,000 people and say I'm going to surrender my life. Yeah, give them a hand. It takes a lot of guts. Come on, young man. Wow. Come on. This is going to change America. This is what's going to make a difference,
right here. Come on. People are coming to give their heart to Christ. Wow. Come out of the palace today. Now, while our heads are bowed, folks we're
going to pray. God is touched. Listen to me carefully. I don't want to say this wrong. Liberty University's got to be the most beautiful
campus, at least in the top three or four beautiful campuses in the world. But can I tell you today that God is not impressed
with buildings? God is not impressed with steel, and concrete,
and wood, and stone, and plastic. You know what touches God? Tears, people that would stand today to say
I'll weep over America. I'll cry and pray for America. And it's not just going to be a three or four-minute
time at Convo. I'll take this burden to my next class. I'll take the burden, find a group of people
this afternoon, and we'll pray. Maybe we'll start meeting regularly on a consistent
basis to pray and weep, cry out to God for our country. So those of you who are standing now. You're saved, basically. I don't want to be in the King's palace. I want to be where the action is. I want to make a difference. I want God to use me. If there's sin unconfessed in our life, confess
it today. Things you need to get right with God, this
is the time to do it right now. Not Sunday, but right now. God is going to use this Convocation. I think somehow, it's going to be a watermark
to take something here and do something unusual. I don't even know what it is. I don't have a clue. Something unusual, so let's pray. Father, You have spoken to hearts. Thank You for these that came today to say
yes to Jesus. Their life will never ever be the same. This is the greatest day of their life. And then for these that have come to say I
believe God may be calling me to preach, oh wow. They'll make such a difference. Lord, I know it took a lot of courage. I know some of those guys had plans. They've even put it down on paper. They already had an idea. They knew where they were going and what they
were going to do, and today you've turned their boat upside-down. You've wrecked them. Lord, in the next few days it's going to be
so difficult, because the Devil's going to try to talk them out of it. God, I pray we as a body of Christ will encourage
them, and pray for them, and help them-not be critics and not throw cold water, but help
them. And then Lord, for every one of these that
are standing right now, and there are so many. They're saying I want that kind of a burden. I don't want to just hear a message and be
stirred. I want God to take me out of the palace and
put me out on the court, put me out on the playing field, make a difference. I don't want to play games. I don't want to play church. This is real. And God, I pray today we'd remember this and
students even write this down in the flyleaf of their Bible or somewhere where they keep
notes important. That on November the third in Convocation
today that they stood up, and they said I'll surrender. I'll come out of the palace. I'll get a burden for revival like I've never
had before. And God, we believe you're going to do it. Thank You for what You've done and the victories
that's been won. In Jesus name. You can remain standing. I would love to have you follow me on Twitter:
@MarineTimLee. I've got to tell you that if you don't love
Jesus and you don't love America, you won't enjoy following me on Twitter. You'll get mad at me, so don't do it. And if you're all the time one of those that
come griping, and complaining, and bellyaching, don't do it. I always follow LU students back unless you
use curse words or you're all the time whining about something. Thank you for letting me be here today. What a great day. God bless you so much!
