eat a whole lot in one minut and not eat several days the of their upab their food so unlike herbivores like our monkeys for example that 4 in has eat continuously these guys really eat a whole lot so that's kind of how we radar is going to the first get a little bit possessive of his food so all of these cats areed is not going to be aare of that meat they want to keep it that's what is going to help them survive so you will see him get a little bit noisy about his meat once it's thrown so once he starts to eat we're going to back up but for the time being you can come right up and say hello to these boys Wayne is our liger he is going to be fed in the den and then radar here is a tie lier so a lier is a hybrid mix between a lion and a tie it's a male lion breed with a female tiger um and that's not something that would ever happen in the wild it only happens in captivity because in the wild these cats are found on totally different regions of the world um tigers live in Asia and India and lions live in Africa um and then radar up front here is a Ty lier which means that um although liger is a hybrid species and typically they are sterile and unable to reproduce very rarely you will have a female Liger who can reproduce and that was the case with Radar's mother here so he was a tiger crossed with a liger and so he is a tyer and you can see he does look more tiger than he does Lion now as with a lot of hybrid species they come with um unfortunately some genetic uh disorders and traits because it's not a natural species that would be occurring naturally um so Wayne back there has a trait known as gigantism which actually means that he is never going to stop growing um you can see he's really really big he is the largest cat here at Tiger World um tigers are the biggest of the big cats they are really really tall and then lions are the second largest big cats and they tend to be pretty stocky so ligers inherit both of those traits um and eventually what it means is that his lifespan is going to be a bit shortened because his body will not be able to continue supporting that kind of growth so you'll see us feed out chickens Co chickens beef all sorts of stuff like that um we do get all of our meat donated here so we Pi up chicken and beef um package from Food Lions and Walmarts every day that gets donated so either it expires that day or there's a defect in the packaging it's so perfectly good meat it's just no longer fit consumtion and then we also Pi up chick like there we go that to of [Music] and to the next we [Music] get body he us as um because of that social structure it's really important that we at the same time so that there's no all right I've got two and they're big cool and I got one can't you how many all right I'm done you any question me at any
