I remember saying let's have a little pudding contest and he put a ball down this little fella and hit two putts and set it up very nice and then took the ball and put it very close to the cup and knocked it in I thought Bob Hope is going to pass out all it's just got such a big laugh and the interesting thing about that is about 20 years later 19 years later he was 21 years old signed a terrific deal with American Express I want to become role model and hopefully I am and I encourage all of you here today to become role models and they had a press conference and they set up a putting green for the press conference and he did at age 21 the same thing that he had done on my show sama pick it up right here and the left is still there and I think that's that was really special really special I'll tell you a story I probably you probably can't use this the last hole at at Firestone I'm walking down with Ernie else who's a friend of mine and Tiger has popped up his tee shot with a 3-wood down the left hand side isn't very thick rough he's walking done he's thinking practice swings you know Kirsten and whatever in the rough losing his mind which I love to see he's a little passion and we walk past his ball Ernie looks at who not good go into the fairway and wait Kenny says what's he got he's got a hundred and ninety yards Kenny from a sand wedge lie to big red oaks overhanging the front of the green the biggest swing that he could make I don't think he can get it close to the front edge of this green okay so I'm standing right beside Ernie and I open and close my own microphone I've got a little switch here on my belt and I get a sign from Stevie Williams wedge that's what I expect he takes a swing one of those ones where right leg comes up off the ground and you know he's off walking after it like a cubic yard of Ohio flies out goes about 50 yards up the fairway and the ball is in the air I'm thinking oh no he did it again the ball you know it's just going straight to the flag most extraordinary shot and I'm thinking huh no what am I gonna say you know that wasn't meant to happen and I opened my microphone just as Ernie who's standing right beside me looks at me and says I look at him and he looks at the microphone so I just close it and my producer says was that Ernie else I said yes it was not much more you can say about that you know well I had him in the pool you know fortunately for me that you know I took the guys in my neighborhood and you know I let other guys have whoever they wanted so it was basically my neighborhood first the world and you know I told him they were had a slight disadvantage and they start laughing I'm like yeah right we were on a plane actually when he wanted got to watch a couple holes and then took off and you know we landed I've been kind of call the house and my wife is screaming like whining screaming she goes Tiger one Laura so I made the announcement on the bus that you know to tell my teammates that told me some some dinner and you know the $306 that I wanted to pull oh but I thanked him and then you know David throwing things at me and I can hear him now talking about the rich get richer let's get sand and it's on this you just got to know in been to bed I remember taking Tiger to the LA open and so he was you know six or seven was so I thought I'd be a big deal we'll go up to LA open so we go the LA open and I said let's go to driving range what these guys hit and so they're hitting balls in a driving range and I'll say how thing is going to our Tiger you know any guns no okay all right so now he last Jack Nicklaus and he goes yeah okay and then then a few minutes later he goes Rudy what are we gonna go play golf so here we're taking the LA open I thought that was gonna big be a big deal and really he was could hardly wait to get out of there and go play golf himself and so I remember that you know a golf is the it's a game it's a it's a participation sport not a spectator sport well in the living room there was a ouch and there was a table over there and then there was a fireplace I did put the trophies on top of there and working my flop shot and if you know my mom if you break anything in that house or damage it into a slight extent my butt would be so read I will sit down for a week so it just gave me an extra incentive not to hit proper flop shots we did get more trophy and crystal and all kind of thing so sometimes he chipped in the house and I told him as that is that you better watch out if you break one of that that got to break your head too and you never did
