Thrifting for Home Decor in Canada with $58

so we just pulled in to the MCC mom's grabbing her loony and we're grabbing our cards and let's see what we find this Saturday morning all righty it's a beautiful day in Winnipeg well we're gonna pass the clothing and see what we can find in the back of the store with the uh all the decorations gonna market for some new shoes today some new old shoes or let's check out the wood aisle instead oh look at this thing here for three dollars bye I'll take it oh yeah hemp oil this up sometimes we grab these to use for a buck 50. these ones for a dollar made in the Philippines look at these precious little little spring form or they're not are they not they are they little angels so we could make a little into the dark do they go as a sash I think so we'll take them oh wow four of them maybe keep these ones yeah so we use these guys and sometimes paint them up we've got some at home already so we may not add to our collection today but there truly is a lot of choice here as you can see down here is where we find our apothecaries so we've got a couple of Apothecary glasses for a buck each which I think we might just take today yeah what about all these little guys here they are 40 cents a piece somebody bought them for a buck a buck 50 originally ton of them okay they're selling a bag two dollars I'll have to think on these what could we use these for any ideas there's something about salt and peppers but look at this corn salt and pepper set for a dollar she has a nice gloss one for a buck fifty mom likes this one but I really like these corn this corn one mom's gonna buy this little guy for 50 cents and what do you think she's gonna put in them a Christmas tree here's another lovely lovely here's another lovely lovely design don't you think in case we're wondering in case you're wondering where we're coming from yep in case you're wondering if Starbucks retains its value at the thrift store the smug for eight dollars so yep it does you could probably get it cheaper on sale at the Starbucks let's check out the glasses so we've got another cloace butter dish for a couple of dollars um down below this one's one's pretty with the lid how much is it going for 350. we'll have to think on that and we've got a cake dish over here comes as a set it's spinner around looking for a price not finding one okay underneath it's five dollars for the cake dish I know about this one's much nicer I think this cake stands but we're looking at ten dollars I don't I don't think we can flip it for that price though this is a beautiful tray five dollars that would look lovely paint it up okay we found us some birds 1.50 for that one this one is heavy solid three bucks but if you saw our Rusty Krusty videos we might uh be doing that with these guys too I don't think we have to think too hard about whether or not we're picking them up we're having a hard time finding something interesting in the Candlestick aisle but I like this jug for a buck fifty this vase it's got an old world look already we're trying to figure out if somebody did this themselves because it's been painted or if it came that way but I think it's got this sticker on the bottom I think it came that way Micah decoration I've never heard of them before hmm one tempted hey Christmas is a common could we paint this Ranger up for a buck 50. I think so got a couple of farm animals 250 these angels we could print up I love these angels or what are these guys two dollars I sure could paint those up for Christmas look at this cute little box here for 50 cents I'm sure it just came from the dollar store do we have any Pottery fans what do we have here The Man from Snowy River Country some sort of a souvenir from somewhere it's four dollars yeah anything else catching your eye here this is a nice one I like this one far better if I'm being honest but main island I'm not too keen on this little guy five dollars made in Canada the OG Freddy's girl found this bamboo Island we're sanding down and refinishing in case you need some more Wicker in your life baskets are 50 off and look at this cutie so we're paying 50 cents I think we should get it it's sweet what else do we have in here let's take a peek around maybe I should get some my husband's uh socks and underwear are so disorganized if I could find some decent baskets I think I'll grab some for him check out some of the furniture here this furniture 25 off oh that's good I don't know the pine cones Christmas if we were looking to redo a piece of furniture but at 175 a few pieces here Barbie let's go check out the rest of the store lots to explore still oh this is a cute little piece if we change these out to library poles I think it would be a hot seller for five dollars there's something about this type of piece that just calls my name just the I don't know it makes me think of being a kid too for five bucks organizing your letters and all your supplies your pens and pencils this one I think we might take that's a good price 11.25 for this end table I think it's in good shape yeah I think this one I think this one We're not gonna pass up mason jars anyone 65 cents big ones small ones it's just a boat County season guys look at this armoire this is a this is a beautiful piece I mean you got your hang your stuff up yeah this is just like an old-fashioned armoire look at that at a new fashion price but it's oh it's beautiful the lamp I'm not crazy about the lamp but it would I guess so yeah I don't like the shade but I like I like the base here this lamp is going for 35 today and we've got some vintage furniture here too look at this little stool oh that is kind of sweet for five dollars you'd probably have to recover it though I like a nice mirror I think everyone likes a nice mirror this one's going for 30 35. I like this sofa table here I just did a sofa table though oh see and it's going for 79. but it's got okay that's decorative but this is not decorative more coaches picture frames I don't think they're on sale today anybody need a fishbowl 10 bucks [Music] look at this one here 10 bucks what do you think should we pick up this F for Freddy's girls found some frames here 50 cents peace this guy we've got this one which I might steal from my office um we're gonna do a frames and not a frames a sign video soon so we're just looking for some little doors that we can paint up I think we found a few of them frames yeah got those baskets in there oh there's another sign we can paint up she did take this basket I don't know I don't like it but she does now somebody help me out what do you use these for fifteen dollars big wedges look underneath so they hang on your wall like oh I'm kind of stupid they hang on your wall like this okay I see what do you guys think there's all these file cabinets here but I have to say I think our world is going to have a lot of these because at my office we were paper charts and now we're electronic and our file cabinets are starting to build up can you guys think of any cool ideas of what to do with file cabinets because like I say we're gonna have a lot of them so let us know let us enter Vintage Lane let's see I like to look at the dishes sometimes that's an interesting piece [Music] um these ones I like these are very beautiful you guys have any China in your house Wedgewood and we've got a set like these this set is going for eighteen dollars we've got I think this is a very pretty set too and of course Salt and peppers gotta think about those Christmas trees if you missed out our tutorial on how to make those Christmas tree stands with your salt and pepper shakers I'm loving this design so pretty these guys here [Music] this one I think there's something very beautiful about this one I don't know there's something lovely but I've also got these cream and sugars these are more you know realistic by another set of these glasses but this one has a k a container something cool very interesting about that piece okay these are are really good to stock up on for the Christmas season coming up I like to sell those with some wooden bowls I think we'll pick them up if you're needing patterns old patterns here's the place to come want to make some clowns oh yeah I've got a ton of patterns at home that I haven't used yet [Music] so I want to be careful about buying more but still you have to think buying the stuff need is expensive and some of these things just don't exist in the same designs anymore these hangers guys a buck a piece we've got more patterns here women's okay but look at it we've got it in this trunk which is currently 75 off is it just women that are attracted to things that are 75 off that's what I heard I think the 75 off sticker caught my attention I like trunks but I don't know that I'm in love with this trunk okay these guys here I think you can all see the attraction of these guys let's see what are we looking at eight dollars for a pair these ones here 10 bucks for the pair what do you think should we grab them yay or nay look at this I just there's something that speaks to me about a bucket full of rolling pins oh boy guys I like the look of this old one here copper pieces oh these are good phrases here we've got this plate made in the USA okay more salt and peppers what in the world I'm in love with this jug here for six and then we've got this cookie jar for 10. it just [Music] loves her Amber stuff she's got boots even this stand guys look at this design here my sister-in-law would love these dragons wow and this wooden 48 it's a little trunk the key is at the desk but where is the lock hmm a little child's desk that was going for 45. yeah I just checked this table here is oh and it just stays up on its own but I cannot find the price on it you do not have because you do not ask mom asked and they brought out all of these candlesticks tarnished silver so are they priced she's gonna price them individually they're not priced yet but this is interesting something oh what about this scarf isn't it just gorgeous I'm trying to praise on it but it's just so lovely any fans of ships here at the nautical theme this is an interesting piece not this one here yeah you know this is quite the interesting jug it's made out of wood there's something special about it huh you know in the Vintage section they do have some nicer jewelry here so I do like to check it out just for myself sometimes you can get some silver chains some real silver chain and some earrings oh look at this this is an antique oh wow [Music] oh my goodness wow well it's not August 1st today I think it's I think it's maybe the fifth to date did anybody else wait for these catalogs to come out in 2003 I wasn't still waiting for them so I was waiting for them before 2003 but I used to wait for them and I used to open it up to the kids section is this this is bottles okay kids no this is adult ladies maybe they start with the ladies I used to open it up and I used to order a few of these items so they have kids at the back huh I didn't think it would be so hard to find but we had no shopping where I grew up here's kids we had no shopping where I grew up so I used to wait for these to come out and we used to order some of these and they came in the mail and this is how we got our clothes of course we drew drove into the city sometimes but this is actually how I got some of my clothes I'm just saying look at this wall I don't know when they did this here but they exposed this brick I want to get a good look at this brick from the side but there's a table here they expose this brick okay it goes all the way into the back wow in case you're wondering what a focal wall is this is it ordinarily I wouldn't pair it with a coach quite this color but with a cream couch that's beautiful fall is coming okay this is one piece yeah you could hang it on your wall or you could set it go for Oh I thought it's been two bucks but it said 20. okay yeah oh my goodness this one's behind the glass but a Fisher Price medical kit for eight bucks who else had one of those when they were a kid I see the play farm down there too oh oh man that one's 12. time to check out we already spent 18 bucks in Vintage Lane and we've got these guys and we already bought our our end table too in the furniture section all right we're loaded up we got this from the thrift store 11.25 we got this box of stuff from the thrift store for 28 we got this vintage this is mostly tarnished silver 18 um worth of candlesticks and then we're just at somebody's house and we got this on Facebook Marketplace for 30 bucks and I think we're gonna call her a day
