Thrift Store Finds | Making your home even more beautiful on a budget!

[Music] today I wanted to show you guys what I got on my last thrift store shopping um this is a very special finding because I felt so close to home with each item and I'm going to be showing you guys a little bit of how it was um into getting to the shop and looking for each item specifically I like to put everything in the cart that I like and then I will at the end do what I call a decluttering where I will definitely choose exactly the ones that I will be bringing home sometimes you know I make the mistakes and I think it's all with you know all of us do is not picking up an item that you actually really love and putting it back and then forgetting about it or someone else coming in and picking it up so one thing that I learn I put everything in a cart and then at the end I will do a declutter to see exactly what I love and what I don't love um some things I was able to find again after another run um you know if it's meant to be in my hands it will come back that's how I feel about it um for example that corny wear um milk glass I really wanted to bring it home and I didn't so it's one of the things that I regret not grabbing as I went um but I'm happy with what lighting I did find lighting just you know improvising a little bit it's been years since I recorded a video so I need to buy materials um but I'm using what I have and yeah the light is a little dark because it's already dark outside and I couldn't just film as soon as I got home but I managed to do everything and I just sat down and I want to show you guys each face that I got today um as you guys can see a little bit I think the camera is actually showing a little bit of a little review so as you guys saw in the first part of the video I was showing you guys as I went trif thing right um and most of the items that I got I filled up the card I was so like me and my best friend we were actually looking we always go together and we're like at the end of the day at the end of the the store at the end of the the shopping we go over every item to see if that's exactly what we want um I do feel like I should have picked up some items and then I'm kind of looking at other things and I'm like okay it was a good decision you know it that's how it is when you go drifting you might want to go back and be like oh my God I should have you know I should have picked up that and I didn't so it kind of like feel bad that you didn't when you look over the videos and you're like oh my God I want that but it is what it is that's the fun thing about it so um I just want to show you guys each um item that I got so I'm going to start I think you guys can see a little bit but I'm going to start with this beautiful little container um I'm not really I love yellow but I'm not really a yellow person when it comes to my kitchen decor I have been still trying to find my perfect Niche when it comes to my home I am right now kind of going towards French Cottage or maybe French Cottage vintage I don't know if that's a thing like farmhouse um I don't really like completely vintage but I love the the dark wood but then at the same time I'm kind of going towards a lighter wood color I'm not sure I'm still trying to figure it out is in my kitchen you guys saw in the last video I do have a lot of like dark Aubrey I think that's what they called Aubrey aate like dark burgundy um wood I think that's what it's called I'm not really sure the color of it but like you know just something like for example this basket or you know another item that I'm going to show you soon so I'm going towards that in my kitchen a lot with the whites and some details of the blacks and lots of Blues um so I love that that's what I go towards me and my best friend we laugh all the time because as you guys can see some of the I don't know if it was able to show you in the videos but it's really nice that when we go together we kind of like share the items you're like hey actually I don't need it you know do you want it so it's really nice we love we have the same taste and we love the same kind of style um yeah so going back I'm going to start with this one as you guys can see it's so pretty it has that nice vintage look and feel to it and what I loved about it that it's handmade and it's you know it's pottery and I love that and when I look down it says number the serial number and it's made in Italy so I love finding pieces like this that are handmade and that are specific for it doesn't say the artist but I can tell it's something that is very special and beautiful work I just love it so I really like this kind of um containers I don't know what I'm going to use it for yet I might just do like I don't know so exciting but I thought I couldn't pass you know so I I just decided to bring it so this price this one is going for well it was $4.99 so today I didn't find a lot of sales on this place that I went but I still liked every item that I got um second with the same kind of vibe was this one and this is animal and that's how you say it I love this kind of things like it just reminds me of my childhood my grandma like I remember plates were blue with this kind of texture of animal it was a animal I don't know how to say it um the cups the mugs for coffee I remember like all these little scratches it's just so pretty I love this kind of thing I have I own um I drifted actually one of the pans and pots like that I had like with the K it's just like this but it's like really big and it's really nice I love um water bath on it so yes so this is one of my favorites um me and my friend were actually love this we both saw it and I'm like I want it so I love this blue in the inside I just love everything about this this little canister and it has the little chickens which I love it's so pretty it's so farmy it brings me back memories from my childhood and this kind of makes me feel so nice when I look at it so I don't know I think trif thing thing it kind of brings out memories of your child I don't know but at least to me I feel like I'm shopping in my grandma's store like in my grandma's house I don't know how to say it it's just weird and I just it makes me happy some of the items I don't know I can't explain I think everybody who likes thrifting and like finding new things or different things and that means something or maybe that it was important to someone that you don't even know who owned this but I just think every piece has a history and has a story you know so I think it's very pretty I like you know taking advantage of that and repeating the story you know and kind of giving a new life to this to each item in a way so yes this is one of my favorites I love every detail I don't know what I'm going to use this for maybe like some cookies for my daughter and my nephew and niece like I don't know and on the bottom it says from 2000 and it's Gooseberry patch I guess that's um I know I've seen this um this Mark before this brand but it's also and it's made in China but I've seen this I don't even know where but I know I've seen this somewhere but I just love it so $399 this is the price for that so one of the things that I love oh my god there was like a buck summer is coming up in my house like I can't believe every time I open a door there's like bugs like and flies coming in it's horrible I hate it um so one thing that I love about you know repeating an item or finding an item I just love to see character so if it has character I want it it's just so weird I don't know so oh by the way look what I found so you guys remember last thrifting run that we did I found I think two of these mugs I actually I'm looking at them right now I'm in the kitchen by the way guys this background is not going to be my I'm just going to be going all over because I don't have a place filming at so I think I'm G to find a little small Bas my my house is very small so I'm going to try to keep you know the same place always but I think I like you know to change here and there the scenarios in the background but anyways so I found these other two and as you guys can see it has all that writing in there and I don't even know I don't know what it says um also next I just let me tell you this when I saw it I was like oh my God my grandma so both of my grandmas were like in the farm I don't know how to explain but I have one grandma on my dad's side that she was a homestead homem maker lady like I never appreciated what she did for us in who she was only until now like I don't know how to explain this I don't know if you ever felt like this but but I never valued homesteading and hom making as much as I value them now and I was just would give anything to go back as in my childhood and be like Grandma thank you I love you and I really appreciate everything you do for your family and my dad and everybody because she's actually the one who taught me how to cook in a way by the way I'm from Brazil but in Brazil we have like this brick oven like you know like with a stick I don't know how to explain it but it's like oven cook meals it's like brick oven cook meals and we have it outside and she taught me how to do all that and I remember her using this kind of um frying spoon I guess that's how you call it um I remember her using this and this is actually from fiber Weare I know it's a modern one but I love how they made it look like vintagey and like old school I really love this this was 249 and I love this kind of kitchen accessories because um I'm still kind of transitioning all my accessories to Wood I really love the wood Vibe and what it represents you know cutting boards uh stuff like that I just love that natural kind of look to it and of course this is just so cute I I don't know there's memories I remember her she was grabbing she used to grab like uh um she fried things and she would pick this up with I don't know I just have a lot of memory so when I looked at it I was like oh my God I want it and it's like new like it's not even has it's a little Razzy which I love it has a little character but it's not used it's like pretty new actually um so next we have this cute this is like my friend and I were like okay should we just there was like another part that would go underneath but I was like I'm not going to be able to style it with that other part that go underneath it was separated by the way so it's not like I picked up and I separated them but both of them had prices pricing and I was like you know I'm just going to pick this one because I just can imagine this sitting somewhere even like I have a white one that looks similar to this I think I took a picture for you guys I'll show you at the end but I could just imagine like a little bit of flowers in here like just like literally spring Decor in the house I could just literally put this like in a Liv room or like in a in a in a I don't know I'm just trying to think where I'm going to put this and how I style it in my house let me know I think my friend also gave me an idea maybe to do like you know what I bought and versus what I styled and versus how I styled I think if you guys are interested let me know I will try to do that like I said my house is still a working process so I'm not sure where I'm going to find a place for all this cuz I'm still like I said building my character in this home I'm still finding my Niche when it comes to the decor and the furniture in a way so I will show you guys little by little as we go and if I see like I like a little corner that I feel like it's ready then I'll do that but yeah this is going to be I definitely see this maybe in a kitchen sitting somewhere with some stuff like hanging like this I don't know I just have all these ideas you know Pinterest is a blessing too so I just love that but yeah this is one of my favorite little pieces and this was $2.99 and it has um I can't really read it but it says mild wear h no Hudson wear in from Vermont so this looks really pretty and it's definitely used of course and the character in it looks really pretty I love every it that has C this next item I love this I picked this up from my daughter every time I go trif thing if she's not with me like she wasn't with me today but she usually loves loves to find mugs she likes to collect them just like me so I always seem to find like little mugs that are like you know I don't know look that looks just like her I really like this this one was 99 and I thought it was so adorable how it has such a cute little character and this one is from bunny kins I think this is a set I only found one but I think they have a set I never seen it I never came across this but yes I thought it was really cute for him next item I have this Pottery oh my God this really called my attention I love how it looks it's so like it's of course it's handmade it's you know hand Pottery it's like beautiful made I just love everything about this item I don't know to explain I know it doesn't go with everything I have cuz I'm more I go more towards the blue but I just think I can style this maybe in the kitchen like maybe for salt maybe for something I don't know but I really need it to be maybe one day when I have a big kitchen I think I can really set this up pretty but why not just grab the pieces that you love right so I'm going to be holding this and see holding on to this and seeing where I'm going to make it fit so it looks pretty but I just grabbed it and I love everything that is handmade and has unfortunately doesn't have a signature so I don't know but still I still couldn't say no to it I I just think it's really pretty so let me know what you guys think about this little piece I've seen more of those but I just don't know the AR The Artist Artist who created it um next other handmade pottery that unfortunately doesn't have signature either I'm so upset it doesn't have a signature like a Mark or anything but I love how beautiful this little bo is it it has so much character and I don't know how to explain I just loved because it matched with the other one but I kind of like this as is and I don't know it just gave me like a really nice fr frch Cottage vibe to it so I still like I said planning on how to style with greens and and stuff like that so I'm going to try to see what I can do but meanwhile this is the bowl I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet but this was $2.99 which I thought it was really cute next we found this beautiful cutting board and I love it looks like a pizza a pizza board a pizza to makeer thing I don't know but I love this um I have a feeling that I'm going to hang it um I want I told my husband I want a section in my kitchen where I can hang cutting boards or maybe like put it on the side like this with you know like I don't know I don't know thinking about it I I'm looking on Pinterest ideas for French Cottage and I think this this goes with it very well it's just the first one and I will try to get more of them them but this is the style that I'm actually going for lately um I know it doesn't look like oh my God how is she going outside of this but I think I have an idea I've seen a lot of people doing this with cutting boards so I'm going to try it I'm going to give it a try I don't guarantee anything I might just end up using this to cook so who knows but this was actually $4.49 so that's what I am going is of course this needs to be it looks like bamboo or I don't I don't know maybe this is pine wood I'm not sure I don't know I I can tell what um I don't recognize the cuts or anything like that so I just have to hydrate it because I can see that it needs with some oiling and that I just found out recently I can't believe I never knew this that cutting boards Maybe Call Me Crazy cutting board um you know anything uh utensils that are made with wood needs oily and oil it I never knew that in my life anyways nobody ever Tau me um next this called out like those Instagram um reals there's a lady that I follow I forgot her name but I'm gonna try to post it she's one of the lady the people that I follow on Instagram that I love how she does every video she does like an a Scottish cooking English type Ty of things she does everything oldfashioned like even her hard everything she uses this oldfashioned vintage and I love her videos it just brings me back like in the time that I wish I lived like thank you Lord I love my the season that I'm in I love the year that I was bornn but if I could choose I would probably choose that lifestyle in the back in in the past but of course not with the hardship that they all went through you know pioneered um time I just love that anyways let's move on so this I love the blue in it it's just so pretty and this one is actually signed Stone wear in made in China um I don't know this is a stone this is actually my first ston wear piece I never does such a thing I I think that makes sense I've heard other people saying that so I might be not even knowing what I'm talking about but you guys know what I mean this is just so cute and I love the coloring like it's not white but it's like you know that off-white grayish with the blue it's very vintage and I love how it looks you know the setting the setup how it looks I don't know I like I said I don't know how I'm going to set it up but I might just use it for picturing for pictures on Instagram who knows next face I don't know why I got this I'm in a process of changing all my um all my pots and pant to stay in steel I was a big fan of nonstick and I just you know decided you know what I should go and do the right thing and yeah some of them look pretty pretty and it's so you nice to cook in them so I'm just opting um into buying more of these you know this is from cusinart cusinart that's how I say it it's just like you know a draining little thing for spaghetti or fruits whatever or just to cook something like steaming broccoli whatever I love this um I am actually thinking about just getting you know um a f more of Dutch ovens or even you know the cast irons I don't own my cast iron I destroyed it I didn't know how to take care of it in the time and I destroyed it so I need to get a new one but I don't know I still don't want a new cat iron that's crazy but I have to get one um I do use a lot of Dutch oven I have one that I make my sourdough bread on it all the time and I really love cooking everything on it like it's it's beautiful it's not vintage it's actually from the brand food you know Food Network but it works and it's one of my favorite items my mom gave it to to me when I got married and I love love love love love this that that that c iron all right um next is this beautiful little jar and I call it my big mason jar although it's not Mason but it has the Vintage kind of stuff to it like I don't know how to reason jars or ball jars that are vintage but this one has a number two in it it's very nice and it has like a stamp that is his only glass and it's um Fida de fetro this is Italian so it says made in Italy so I don't know maybe this is one of the vintages it looks like it but I just love how beautiful in the character and it has like a PL I mean this is kind of like worn out I know but I might just take this rubber part out and just use it and is you know just a cookie jar or maybe like a coffee jar or maybe just my flower jar I'm thinking I'm not sure yet I might just use this for my flower I've been looking for something like this okay so next item we have this cute little lamp oh my God When I saw this I was like I Amy love I'm obsessed like I don't know I also told my friend I wish this had a opening and I could use this for my utensils this is how cute I don't know it just look like a milk little jar and it has my little brand like I don't know if I can like I know it's not the same but doesn't that match the vibe I wish this was a kitchen utensil little like a utensil little um jar but I love it we actually took the thing out from here I don't know how you call that thing that goes here but um we took it out and I'm going to search for One an Amazon like something nice and I think I'm going to put this on my hallway I think it goes perfectly there I don't know where yet or maybe I'm just going to put in my living room but it's just so adorable and it has beautiful character I just love everything about it so this is and it says Clinton China Clinton I I don't know what that is but it's just really pretty and this was $4.99 all right so next this is the cutest little thing I found there and I got this for my daughter or for you know the future baby who knows whenever God decides to bless us with one um so yeah this is it says Let It Rain and let it rain so this represents you know the flood um according to the Bible if you're a Christian if you know you know so I thought it was really cute and it looks like it's hand painted it looks like hand drawn and painted I thought is really cute it has like a cute little character to it so you know Noah's Arc and the little that's Noah and the little animals going to the arc so I love this uh it's my favorite story from the Bible um yeah I think my daughter would love that I showed it to her she's like oh that's nice and she was having a play like great I think I got it more for me than for her so this actually oh this is also one item for her um this is like I love the frame I'm not sure it has a little bit of V know character to it I'm not sure um where I'm going to put this in her room but I thought this was very pretty and it's like why G Made lter Girls I thought this was so cute and it represents so much of what I believe in and my you know everything I believe in honestly so I think this is really cute and this is an unknown author I I will show you guys a print of it if you guys want but it's beautiful I read it in the store and I was like this is so beautiful and I have a little girl so that's going to go perfect in her room not sure yet cuz her room is also doesn't have like a real theme to it but I'm trying to work around it and this was $2.49 so I love the details so next we have this little frame if you guys are aware and if you guys seen the last video of me going to the trift store you guys probably saw how I have almost the same frame with the American Homestead for Autumn and I love how it's basically the same frame with the blues and everything and I have it in my kitchen I'm looking at it right now I think I'm going to take the other one that I showed you guys it's from the American Homestead I'm going to put it here and I'm going to put it in my wall in the kitchen to see if it matches I think it's look cute I will see and I'll let you know but I I think it's going to work and this was $3.99 I don't want to use it like this I kind of want to use it like that I don't know horizontal is always really cute but I guess we can play with it you know I don't know we'll see so last but not least I never really got clothing in the store that actually went I'm just going to move this in a second I never bought clothes there I always go if I if I'm going to go thrifting for clothing I go to this place where it's like really nice and clean like I know the Fab I know what kind of fabrics they use and stuff like that this place you would have to go and dig like everywhere to see if it's worth it if it's the fabric is nice so stuff like that but I was actually surprised I was going like for like Homestead dresses and comfy dresses especially for me to work in a garden or just to stay home I love it or just to go out and I went to find other things and I found some dresses so I was like why not I got this one for my daughter it's like a cute little jumpsuit and I really like it looks just like her and this is $4.79 and this is from Gap so the texture is like coton it's really pretty so I always go for the texture and the the fabric um my friend she actually taught me how to do that cuz I never really paid attention to those things you know I I bought it because I thought it was cute but I not never really looked into the fabric and like hey is that going to last me a long time or that's going to wash out like and rip in a year so I always go and look for those things now thank you to her um she taught me how to do that you guys probably think what do you mean you didn't know how to do that I no I really didn't care I was like okay it looks cute I'm going to get it but never really cared about clean fabric which I love now you know I always love my Cottons and my um silk and stuff like that but um you know polyester was a lot who cares anyways this one I thought it was so cute this is actually from Lily Rose I don't know where this but it looks like a Target brand if I'm not mistaken this one is so pretty it's like a nice summer dress and it's like I'm going to maybe throw like a little um picture of how it looks on me not sure yet but I thought this was so cute and the fabric is beautiful if I'm not mistaken let me see I think this one is also cotton yeah it's cotton and I love it so this one is $6.99 you cannot be this place right so I can't wait to try this one on I might wear on Sunday for my mom birthday and last but not least this one it's so cute I love it I love the blues I love the little flowers I don't know what flower this is it looks like those um and it doesn't look like wor now it's pretty nice and the fabric is nice it's it's also cotton and this one's from Old Navy so I thought it was really cute and it's a cami so this is this one was $6.99 and I really love I can't way to style this with a nice um like white little shoes or sneakers or just sandals whatever so yes guys my eyes are closing I'm so tired as you guys can see um but that completes our little haul of what I got at the store I hope you guys like this video I'm going to show you guys a little preview of how I style it and whenever I finish washing everything how it looks as I as you guys know I set it up on the table and I
