Three Cops Pick On OVERSIZE LOAD!

all right everybody thank you coming back to the mics you Smith YouTube channel we're in Illinois today as you can see we're making it right hand turn on Illinois 47 and I am hauling a 966 M Caterpillar wheel loader I just took it up but yeah the caterpillar yelling at that car there because he's wasting our time and delight there anyway we are in Illinois we just picked up this 966 M wheel loader it's wide it's heavy and we got a permit Illinois permit and you know it's important in Illinois when you have a permit Illinois permits they they come whether what roads just making a left or right and not all states do that they just tell you what roles need to be on they don't and they don't get specific about what which way to go on those roles this could be quite frustrating sometimes so you kind of have to pair up your your permit with your map and the GPS and all that and it really close attention to it so a following way permit routing I've on the routing that it says on my permit I'm gonna get in trouble up here a little so we're gonna meet a cop up here and you'll see him any second now on your left there he is right there did you see him right there he was and I'm walking with my mirror and I'm sort of keeping an eye on him I don't know why I just felt like I should keep an eye on that guy and he turns on his his lights and he and I notice he makes a flip behind me there in the middle of the road and he turned off his lights and he's coming up fast behind me and after I get through this intersection here he's right on my tail I mean he's right behind me but his lights are off so I wasn't too worried about it and so we get I get through this intersection here and he's still behind me and make a decision that once they get through here and there's a clear path to my right I should morality like turned on he's not asking me to pull over and so as soon as the road gets cleared am i right I started making my way over and here I come and now I'm singing a little bit there it's that nervous thing because I'm looking in my mirror and I can see that he's actually in behind me now so he got in between me and the guy that was let me over so now he's behind me and now with the lights of come on and now I had to find some place to pull he's actually wanted me to pull over here we go here comes a nice spot rough road and now we're pulling over so I cut out a bunch of the video there because at that moment a small cop car pulled around me and blocked the front of my truck so I couldn't move and another car a suburban is behind me and another suburban is to the left of me they have me blocked in now on the side of the road and I didn't want to identify that small cop car that was in front of me I don't want anybody getting in trouble over this because it does end well but now they kind of forced me off the road here a little bit and now that little cop car is to the right of me in the grass and that right now I have to Suburbans behind me and I and I I'm sort of starting to guess why this is all happening in my mind but this has quite gotten quite serious now I've got three cop cars got me pulled over to Suburbans and I suspect one of them has portable scales in it because I think what's going on here is it is a an oversized trap and I've heard about this area being that way and so but the cop is walking up to my truck now let's here we ask the sir an earth he's asked for my permit first day he's looking at the routing making sure I'm on route three cop cars have me pulled over for this down and I suspect one of them has portable scales in it you know so much sometimes they take me down ya know that this guy was crazy there's the obviously they're super nice guy very polite like most of them are and you know he's checking and checking over my truck and trailer now making sure I got oversized load signs and flags and making sure my chains are all tight and everything you know maybe hoping I don't know I like to think that you know the guy's just doing his job maybe he saw the camera yeah he was at the back of my trailer there he I saw him do a little dance back there and I got oversized load flags sticking out the sides and he bumped into it it kind of spooked him a little bit hope we didn't break it which he didn't I found out later but yeah I mean that's it basically you know and you're gonna see these gonna see two of these cop cars pull ahead here in a second because now they don't need the portable scale anymore because if you get caught in Illinois with an oversized load off route it's as if you have no ticket all right rather no permit because you're not on your routing you have no permit to be on that routing so now they're gonna get you for overweight and over width if you're over late that gets you for that I mean it's huge fines in Illinois sometimes tens of thousands of dollars if you know if you if you're extremely overweight with no permit and if you're off route you have no permit you know so the so the lesson to be learned here guys is that when you're coming out of out of you know from Illinois from customers in Illinois in your oversize following a permit routing there are shorter ways to get to the interstate but don't do it there's there's two small cop car there and there's the one suburban now the cop that's talking to me the cop that was talking to me you see those two cop cars there the smaller cop car and the suburban I suspect that suburban may have had the portable scales though he's got no use for them so he's leaving and they got caught that was just talking to me he's still behind me so I had three cop cars that he pulled over for that for that deal but it all worked out in the end always follow your permit routing always have a permit and just make sure everything's in order when you oversize guys thanks for watching
