This New Compact Torch For HVAC Brazing Is A GAME CHANGER.

Howdy Folks and welcome back to the channel in today's video I'm really excited we're going to be doing a test between these two brazing torches this is the more standard torch that you'll see most HVAC guys will be using and this one can also be used but we're going to be testing this out it's a brand new product and as you can see it is so Compact and so small the knobs are smaller everything is just smaller about it so I'm curious to see how well it'll braise a three-quarter joint or maybe even a 7 8 so we're going to braise a couple joints with both of these and see how they do so let's get to it all right so first we're going to be testing out the regular brazing kit that I normally use before I picked up this kit and just so you're aware it comes with the adapters so these go on to a regular set of oxyacetylene Tanks or Regulators comes with some clamps and then separate tips this is more like the standard tip that you would get with the braising set so what I typically like to use is called the rosebud tip it's got a few different holes this one has four holes so we'll see how that works so I'm going to go ahead and put this in our Vise and let's get it braised and then we'll test out this system after [Music] thank you [Applause] now as you can see we have full coverage on this I got it a little bit too hot that Rosebud tip gets hot really fast so let's show you now on the next on the compact kit and show you how it works all right so we've got our compact kit set up here I'll show you on the tanks there we just disconnected the old and then we have our new with the adapters it was super easy to swap over to these hoses in case anyone is wondering so let's go ahead and get this fired up and show you how well this little guy works well guys I am 100 gonna be using this in the field um just how Nimble that torch set is and it brazed this three-quarter pipe just fine um there was no issues at all so super pleased with it I'm gonna test out probably this larger tip right here so let's see how that does with a three-quarter pipe all right I just want to show you how easy these are to swap out so these tips um they have the fitting built in on the rose bed tip but for the other ones you simply slide it on and then you take this guy slip it over just hand tighten it and then you're good to go look how small this kit is it is so small compact and easy to use now something else that's super cool is that you can actually use your old tips now this obviously would defeat the purpose because it's so stinking long I might look into um making this tip smaller but I want to show you what the flame looks like with this tip so let's light it up and show you what that looks like thank you so pretty much exactly the same so pretty much exactly the same with the rosebud tip from my other torch on this guy but what we're going to actually do is we're going to test it out with this one and this is just the mega compact like our other rosebud look how small that is foreign with that tiny little torch I am completely sold guys um I'm not going to be lugging that big bulky thing around anymore I'm going to be using this set now as you just saw we um swapped over these hoses and everything was very easy these adapters come with the kit and they're very easy and again we have these clamps that are replaceable so say part of our line gets messed up we can cut that part of the line out and put those clamps on but check out how Nimble this hose is it's so flexible easy to maneuver so if you're working around a condensing unit you can um you know not have to worry about pulling your tanks over whereas this is my old kit not to mention how stinking big it is but when you move one thing it's going to move everything so there's much less flexibility here if you're trying to twist this and do an angle it's obviously harder to twist with these big lines it's hard to tell in this video but the weight of this is so light compared to the weight of the hose and this but I am super impressed with this guys I am kind of upset that I hadn't found these earlier in my career but if you're just getting started make sure and check it out and I think you're going to be really happy so this is my finished setup guys we have our little fittings here and notice that none of the hoses are in a position where they're going to get kinked so that's very important with these hoses but the coolest part of it all is check this out so previously with my other um hoses it was not physically possible to do this I would wrap it all around the tank and then slide the torch in here but this is amazing so look how easy it is when I go to a job I simply pull this out twist it a few times and it's totally unraveled and I'm ready to braise now when it comes time to put this back up I simply spool it up like this it's very very Nimble very easy to wind up kind of like one of those blue Air hoses and then you simply compress it slide it in there and then just put our tip there and it's literally as easy as that amazing I'm so thrilled and excited to start using this kit so I'm sure you'll be seeing this in future videos when we do some braising with wine sets and repairs well guys I am absolutely thrilled about this for all of you who say this is not going to last very long I'm going to include this in a lot of my future videos doing line sets and repairs so we're definitely going to put this torch and hose set to work and I will definitely keep you guys updated if I have issues with the hose or anything but I am super
