This Is Huge! Spider Man 2 PS5 Tricks The Game Doesn't Tell You About (Spider Man 2 Tips And Tricks)

Spider-Man 2 has some very cool secret features and moves including some special tricks with your web wings and a gadget that can counter Rockets first though let's have a look at the settings menu as you can find a very helpful feature here that the game doesn't tell you about because it turns out that the left and right d-pad buttons which normally don't do anything are instead reserved for shortcuts you can assign via the settings menu there are a ton of things you can use these shortcuts for including activating and disabling accessibility options without going into the menus but you can also bind an action that normally requires you to press two buttons like throwing an object or activating a specific ability or Gadget to a single button on the d-pad I didn't know this was possible while playing through the story but it's very useful to have quick access to your favorite abilities with just a single press of a button and there are way more useful options like the ability to hold the circle button to continuously Dodge which can be found under the control settings for some reason it's turned off by default but I recommend turning it on as you can still perform single Dodges by simply pressing the button but if you turn the option off holding Circle does nothing so like the shortcuts these are useful things that can help you throughout your entire playr and the game doesn't really tell you about them you can also auto complete QuickTime event by activating it under the gameplay settings this makes the car chase crimes that appear throughout New York pretty much free XP as you only need to press triangle when you get close to the car and the crime will just complete itself also super useful in the gameplay settings is the auto heal function which allows you to set a health Threshold at 50 30 or 10% of your health as soon as you fall below this threshold you will immediately trigger a heal if you have any Focus available if you don't a focus bar will immediately be consumed after you fill it as long as your health is below the threshold you set and you see me using the across the spiderverse suit in the gameplay here which by the way still has the lower frame rate option to match the animation style used in the movies but with no suit powers or molds in the game this feature is now found in the settings menu under visual options it needs to be unlocked first which you do by buying one of the suits from the spiderverse movies the earliest one you are able to unlock is the spider Noir suit for Peter which becomes available to craft at level 22 all spiderverse suits will default to the lower frame rate style but can be changed to match the game's FPS from the menu and you can also apply this lower frame rate to any other suit in the game after unlocking the settings and you can also add the comic book visual effect when hitting an enemy from the same menu which is disabled by default regardless of which suit you pick and there are way more secrets to talk about of course if you like the video so far then leaving a like on it would be awesome and subscribe as well as we got more Spidey videos coming your way now I imagine that most of you will need some time to adjust to the new web wings that can of course help you get around New York super quickly but one thing I found that can be hard to do is stick The Landing while you are gliding since you're your gliding momentum carries over to swinging as well unless there's a point you can web zip to it can be difficult to slow down and land in the exact spot you want to that is until you find out you can stop dead in your tracks while using the web Wings if you pull the left analog STI back and press circle at the same time super useful if you need to land on a specific rooftop for a hunter blind for instance and there's another neat trick that involves the web wings as well that allows you to Traverse bodies of water at high speed while you can use the wind tunnels that R across the river you can also pick your own path and retain your high speed by hitting the water while gliding which will transition you into a surfing animation and then when you're surfing jump and transition back into gliding with the wet Wings again you can keep doing this trick back to back to maintain your speed even over water indefinitely while exploring the city you also want to keep an eye out for these Tech chests which are hidden on the rooftops and throughout the streets of New York they contain about 20 Tech Parts a piece which might not be much but this is definit defitely the material you'll need the most of and it does add up as there are a lot of these chests while you normally need to locate Tech chest by sound or by looking for their distinct lighting there is actually a way to make them appear on your mini map the sixth upgrade in the traversal suit de tree has allseeing as one of the Buffs you can choose which will Mark these crates on your map making them super easy to find it even marks the golden chest that contain rare Tech Parts as well although you will obviously find a lot less of these still this is a useful ability to have while you're swinging throughout the city and you can get it as soon as you hit the unlock requirement of level 21 and I definitely recommend spending these stack materials on some Gadget upgrades as sometimes upgrading a gadget will unlock a completely new function for it while you might gloss over it at first the concussion burst Gadget actually has a secondary use that can be unlocked by upgrading it the second tier of upgrade unlocks the ability to use it as a noise maker while stealth it meaning that instead of shooting an object to create a distraction you can can use the gadget and create a distracting noise anywhere you like now the big downside is that even at Max upgrades you can only hold two of these at a time so you have to make use of them strategically or get lucky and loot some ammo from stealth takedowns still though paired with the new web lines you have a lot of flexibility in stealth to create your own takedown opportunities but my favorite alternate use for a gadget is definitely the web grabber I already talked about the gadget in our early unlocks video which I'll link to in the video description the first upgrade for the web grabber makes it also pull in nearby throwable objects which gave me an idea since you can throw Rockets back I wondered if the game would count them as throwable items for the purpose of the gadget and it turns out that it does so you can use the web grabber to pull in a rocket and have a detonate when it collides with another enemy this can be a bit tricky to pull off because there is a slight delay to the web grabber Activation so even if you fire it right as an enemy fires their rocket it can still hit you before it gets snatched up by the gadget if you don't do do still it's very satisfying to pull this off and it's another amazing use for what was already my favorite Gadget in the game if you're looking for a bit more of a straightforward counter did you know that you can easily counter enemy special attacks with some special moves of your own well the game tells you how to counter the special yellow and blue ring attacks so Parry for yellow and Dodge for blue there is another counter that works against the yellow attacks which are abilities abilities will stagger any enemy including a boss out of what they are currently doing so it will cancel these dangerous special attacks too of course dodging or parrying is usually better because those actions don't need to be recharged but at least now you know there are other options staying on the topic of abilities I've been having a lot of fun with miles's new blue electric powers but there is a hidden downside to these when compared to your original Venom powers that made me consider swapping some back in to keep it simple the Venom stun status effect so the one that leaves traces of orange electricity on an enemy can only be triggered by your basic Venom powers so punch smash Dash and jump while the status effect itself is not that strong you do miss out on some Synergy with the rest of miles's skills with bio siphon for example you recharge abilities when you hit an enemy that is Venom stoned meaning you can use your abilities even more often and with critical Venom stun you can sometimes use a finisher on Venom stunned enemies without using a focus bar so really strong skills that you can only trigger if you're using the regular orange venom attacks which means it's smart to still keep some of these abilities selected when playing as miles I also mentioned in our big changes video which I will also link to in the video description that Miles excels at the early Marco's memories activity because his lightning powers instantly kill the Sandman you have to fight Well turns out that any source of electricity can trigger this effect meaning Peter can instakill Marco's minions too with his spider shock ability even the final upgrade for the web grabber which turns the gadget into a
