Ever wondered how NCT 127 was formed? Today, we're gonna see how they were formed and discovered from trainee life all the way to debut. But before we get started, only 14% of my viewers are Subscribed to the channel. Hit the subscribe and the bell to not miss a new "how k-pop groups are formed" and to join the wave. So NCT 127 is a nine member boy group from SM Entertainment that debuted in 2016 with 'Firetruck'. As of now, member WinWin has been inactive since he joined WayV in 2019. And it may be a little complicated to follow the NCT units, but the units in order of debut are NCT U, then NCT 127, NCT Dream, and then the Chinese spin-off unit WayV. Real quick, let me know down the comments who your bias is and Bias wrecker I'll help keep it on the down-low But let me know. Now, on to the members. Taeil was born in 1994 in Seoul, South Korea And when he was younger he dreamed of becoming a Zookeeper. However, Taeil would listen to Stevie Wonder's 'Lately', which made him change course and to want to become an artist. Not much is known about his auditions before being casted by SM Entertainment in 2013. Taeil was featured in SM's training team called SM Rookies before being officially announced in 2015. He actually had a pre debut song, 'Because Of You', ahead of debuting in NCT U, the first NCT unit in 2016. Ultimately, he became the main vocalist of NCT 127, debuting with the new unit in the same year. Johnny was born in 1995 in Chicago, Illinois in the U.S. Growing up in the States, Kpop didn't have that much of an influence on Johnny, but he did learn music by playing saxophone and piano. But in 2007, SM Entertainment held a global audition in Chicago. After passing at only 12 years old, it wasn't till 2013 when Johnny was revealed as an SM trainee in SM Rookies. Johnny was first seen in his senior label mates' EXO show EXO 90 2014 He got to show his beautiful face off again as the actor in another SM artist Jaemin's music video 'Ready For Your Love'. He even DJed for a live performance of FX members Luna and Amber. Basically, Johnny was everywhere in pre-debut. Johnny didn't get to debut in NCT 127 with 'Firetruck', but instead in the comeback 'Limitless' in 2017 as the lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and rapper of the group. Taeyong was born in 1995 in Seoul, South Korea. Before he even had a chance to have a serious think about what he wanted to do with his life, Taeyong was street casted right outside his high school by SM Entertainment. Taeyong then joined the lineup of SM Rookies and went on to release his own solo song showing off his rap skills. As amazing as an artist you think Taeyong is today, there was a time when he was a trainee when an SM dance teacher called Taeyong's dancing hopeless, so he worked even harder to turn one of his weaknesses into his biggest strengths. From there, he was able to feature in the newly debuted girl group Red Velvet in the song 'Be Natural' in 2014. You know TY Track, TY Track. Already becoming one of the most popular SM trainees at the time, Taeyong made his official debut in NCT U in 2016, then switched to NCT 127 where he is the leader, main rapper, and main dancer, and even joined SM's supergroup -you remember- SuperM to take over the rest of the world in 2019. Yuta was born in 1995 in Osaka, Japan. Growing up, he loved playing soccer, starting from 5 years old all the way up till he was 16. That is around the time Yuta would start to get into performing He would take a chance as SM Entertainment came to his home city, Osaka, to hold auditions, where he passed. But there was a problem: Yuta was still enrolled in high school in Japan at the time. He made the tough decision to leave his school and home to move to South Korea, becoming an SM trainee and joining SM Rookies in 2013. During his time as a trainee, Yuta actually had the opportunity to be on the popular TV show called Abnormal Summit, where representatives from different countries get to ask and answer questions regarding their culture. He would leave the show in 2015 to focus on training for the debut only a year later, when NCT 127 dropped 'Firetruck'. Yuta debuted as the lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and sub rapper of NCT 127. Doyoung was born in 1996 in Seoul, South Korea, and you could say he was born with natural singing ability. Doyoung participated and won 1st place in the Gyeonggi Youth Arts Fest ival in 2013 with such stable vocals. And that caught the attention of SM scouts, who offered him to join SM Entertainment. Then, in 2015, Doyoung was announced as a member of SM Rookies where he hosted Show Champion and even appeared on The Mickey Mouse Club. Yep, that's him right there Finally, in 2016, Doyoung debuted with NCT U and NCT 127 as the main vocalist. Jaehyun was born in 1997 in Seoul, South Korea, and if you notice, Jaehyun speaks fluent English. No thanks I'm full. I just want some milk That is because he lived in Connecticut in America when he was 5 till about 10 years old. In 2012 when Jaehyun moved back to Korea to finish his education, he was street casted by SM scouts at his high school, just like Taeyong did. In his audition, he tried out as a rapper and was accepted. However, SM felt he would better suit a vocal position And so in 2013 Jaehyun became a member of SM Rookies, being a part of the EXO show again 90 2014, The Mickey Mouse Club, and host along Doyoung on Show Champion. And in 2016 he was one of the first to debut with the NCT U unit and then NCT 127, becoming the main vocalist of the group. Jungwoo was born in 1998 in gung-ho, South Korea There is little information about Jungwoo before SM Entertainment, until 2014 when he passed an SM Weekly audition and joined the trainee system. Announced as a member of the pre-debut group SM Rookies, Jungwoo got to appear in Super Junior's siwon songs music video 'Paper Umbrella'. Damn. Look at this K-drama stud right here. Jungwoo joined NCT a little later than others, debuting in the song 'Boss' by NCT U in 2018, then joining NCT 127 with the Regular comeback. Jungwoo's positions are lead vocalist and dancer of NCT 127. Mark was born in 1999 in Toronto, Canada, and soon moved to Vancouver, where he grew up. But that isn't it. Mark spent time living in New York and Seoul as well. Mark was asked a question, "What do you want to be when you grew up?", and when he was a kid, He said instead of music. He wanted to be either an author Or an ice-cream man Imagine Mark as an ice-cream man. Instead, his brother helped persuade him to try his hand at music, and that's when SM Entertainment held a global audition in Vancouver in 2012. Mark passed and began his journey in kpop at just 13 years old. Mark Lee has been a trainee for two years. "What I realized was that an entertainer isn't only about singing and dancing and rapping, like, you have to be able to be able to like entertain people. you have to be able to speak fluently. Be able to be funny, like humorous, and so that people could like you." While in SM Rookies, Mark was busy with shows, events, and a lot of music videos. Then he became one of the first to debut in the newly created unit NCT U in 'The 7th Sense', then joining NCT 127 with 'Firetruck'. Later, Mark was added to the youngest unit NCT has, NCT Dream, with 'Chewing Gum" in which Mark graduated from in 2018. And that's not it. Mark, like Taeyong, was chosen to be in SuperM in 2019. You know, rumor has it Mark doesn't need sleep, apparently. Mark's home remains with NCT 127, as he's the main rapper and dancer of the group. And last but not least, Haechan was born in 2000 in Seoul, South Korea, but would later moved to Jeju Island. Always enjoying music, Haechan's mother saw this and was the one to encourage him to audition. And so, Haechan went to SM Entertainment's weekly auditions in 2012, passing and joining the rest of the future NCT members in SM Rookies, bringing the aegyo to NCT 127 and 'Firetruck'... which isn't that cute. But anyways Haechan is also the second from NCT 127 to join NCT Dream alongside Mark, becoming the lead vocalist, dancer, and maknae of NCT 127. Thank you all so much watching.
