yo what's up guys 2D here back in our video and today we got a very special video because we are showcasing the A Certain Magical Index Old Testament Omnibus Edition made by Yen press I am so excited this exists so this big grimoire styled Premium Edition book contains 24 volumes 22 volumes of the original story and the two additional light novels fully in English in such a premium release as you may know I make a lot of symmetrical index content so far release like this to happen it's just a dream come true so let me tell you a bit about the story the cereal Magical Index takes place in a setting called Academy City where science and Magic Collide and there's an expert system where it's level zero to level five at level 0 being at the weakest we're our main character kamijo Toma is at level zero but you have a special power where you can nullify other people abilities and what's really interesting is the bonus of the power system and just the way the stories handled with Magic versus science so it's really unique in the world of light novels as it's one of the most popular light novels in the world and especially in Japan in and as you may know there's a lot of popular characters like misaka which is a level five as well as accelerator of who is a level five on the science side I can't recommend this series enough if you watch my channel you already know so let me tell you about this fantastic release so as I mentioned it contains 24 volumes in all one book and the design is absolutely amazing started as a grimoire and it's really it's just such a nice addition the premium quality is definitely shown here with the design of the book as well as the binding and the paper just like a gold finish on the paper edges and overall the quality of the paper is just really nice I also love how they actually called it Old Testament because Old Testament was originally a fan name it's like they had a worker who wouldn't stop talking about index 24 7. and this book retails for 250 which is actually pretty good because if you buy all 24 volumes at MSRP it's a little over 300 and this is 250 which is already a pretty good price but some of the original single volumes are a bit out of print and hard to Define so overall this is a great price for for the amount of content you're getting and plus it's such a premium special edition and as I mentioned it contains two Side Story volumes and so actually during the licensing for the two Side Story volumes they released after the original 22 volumes ended which is not how it happened in Japan so it actually the Side Story volumes came during when the actors series was releasing so in this Edition the Side Story volumes are actually how they're supposed to be in chronological order like the Japan release which is the intended way to read it which is super great so to compare it to some other Yin press releases so they actually had a spice in a wolf Collectors Edition release which contains the first 17 volumes it's pretty comparable to that where it's one big book featuring a lot of volumes but this one actually includes seven more the text is quite readable considering how big the book is and how small the text is but I think it's fine I think the paperbacks are a bit more easier to read just because you can hold it differently and you can put it closer to your face for example but on here the text is quite small I think it's still fine enough but it's something to point out also the artwork looks great and the nice colored artwork and black and white illustrations truly pop out on this release the paper quality as I mentioned is great and it really gives the artwork Justice in addition as I said it's massive this is what it looks like compared to the original paperbacks and this is way more bigger it's so huge overall do I recommend this release of course I do if you a big fan of a super Magical Index this is the collector's item to get I can't think of anything else to buy if you're a fan of the series this is definitely the one to get even if you want to jump into a Sarah Magical Index and exceed the amazing world with the two hour series have to offer I also recommend it this is the best way to read symmetic index Old Testament because as you may know the anime isn't the best adaptation and the manga is still ongoing so having all of Old Testament in One Premium Edition I think it's great and you can't beat it this is the intended way to experience the series as its original search material of its symmetrical index and it's done fully in Justice in
