I wouldn't have become a YouTuber. When you think nothing can go worse but
turns out, it could've been the luckiest thing for you. The experiences of falling while

a flight attendant or a bank clerk. I thought about becoming a YouTuber after I get a job. But after failing at the final interview
and getting started with the YouTube job, I realized I'd never been able to
work on my YouTube job if I had a job. It takes a lot longer than I expected. And I have to invest a lot more time
than a usual nine-to-five job working on videos. If you make three to four times
more than office workers' salaries, that means you're earning more than
$100,000 per month. I think so. There may be some people
who don't know about you. So you're the YouTuber who reviews
movies in an interesting way, right? Yes. I introduce movies or dramas
in a charming way. That's what I do. - How old are you?
- I'm 34. What made you decide to
appear on the show? As a person who walked
the path of a job seeker, I wanted to cheer people up
by sharing my story. While preparing to be recruited, I kept thinking if there was anything
I could take initiative in since I like to be my own boss. That's how I came up with the idea
of being a YouTuber. I'd say I made it in my career. I'm satisfied with my life where I can lead my life 100% on my own. I want to show people there are jobs like mine. Human Story portrays a story

to get three million subscribers. A lot of people probably recognize me
from the movie, 'Casino'. When working on the movie, I got the video very late from
the production company. I had a couple of days to complete
a video of 40 minutes to an hour. I worked from eight in the morning
to ten in the evening of the next day. I've worked 35 hours straight many times. I thought I'd die when working like that, but seeing the number of hits heals me. [The number of cumulative

Did you write it recently? Yes. I'm not looking to make profits
by selling the book. It took me almost two years
to complete the book. I put all the know-hows I learned from making videos on YouTube for six years. These are the things
I'd tell my family members. I'm sure it will be helpful for those
who are new to YouTube or even those
who have been around the block. I think I know one or two things about thumbnail. There are many contents
on that in the book. Some may not know about thumbnails. - What's a thumbnail?
- Oh. Thumbnail is... For example, if you see my YouTube channel, you can think of thumbnail as
the wrapping paper of my videos. Thumbnail is so important. Let's say the content is Rolex, but if this Rolex is in a garbage can... Yes. No one would click on it
regardless of how good the content is. Even if the content is mediocre, when it's wrapped in Rolex, people will definitely click on it. This is the concept. That's how important thumbnail is on YouTube. I put a lot of time making videos, but I am very serious about choosing
the right thumbnail, too. For instance, there are blue boxes here. I usually fill all these boxes
with candidates. I gradually remove the ones
that aren't the best. I leave the final few and decide. I put keywords like this. 1, 2, 3, 4 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Writer Kim Eun-hee, Kim Tae-ri,
Ratings 15.3%. The keywords that are coherent to the content
but also clickbait worth ones. I write ten of them and select ten images or so, too. These are the final versions of
the thumbnails. Do you do this all by yourself? When it comes to thumbnails,

20s and 30s are watching. 75% of people who watch my videos haven't subscribed my channel yet. I don't see it as
a negative thing, though. This tells me there's still potential. If 90% of them are my subscribers, it means I'm at the uppermost limit. It means you still have a way to expand. In that sense, please hit subscribe and like buttons. - Ones who have it are worse.

coming in physically. So they didn't get it. That's why they were opposed to it. I guess anyone who ever
wanted to be a YouTuber must have clicked this video. Is there any advice you'd like to give to those who are thinking of
being a YouTuber or who already are? I mean, you're a YouTuber yourself, so you must have heard so many people saying,
"Shall I give it a go, too?" They think it's an easy job. When 100 people ask me that, only five of them
actually take plunges. And among those five, maybe
one person puts a constant effort. At the end of the day, the most important thing
is to give it a go, rather than just saying it. And once you're in, focus on details like thumbnails I mentioned. You could try things like that. It will be good to give a constant effort. The reason why you're not giving

managing your staffs? There surely was. Except for a few part-timers, every full-timer has been
with me since day one. When it comes to human resources, the most important thing is
to give motivation. Their salary isn't based
on the basic pay, but an incentive. If an employee gets the advertised clip,
the person gets a bonus. They even get a bonus according
to the number of hits. There are more times
when their incentive is higher than their basic pay. One employee got
as much as $8,000 a month. That way, it gives my employees
the motivation to do well. That's how we achieve

turn out to be a blessing in disguise. When you think
nothing can go worse than this, but turns out, it could've been
the luckiest thing for you. Life is full of surprises. I got dropped at the final
interview of Kookmin Bank. Those of went through
the process would know. It worns people out. I took exams for three months, - had interviews and aptitude exams.
- Right. Then there was a final interview. Jumping all kinds of hoops,
it came down to a 2:1 interview. 'It's either me or the other candidate.
There's no way I'll fail.' I went overboard big time. I thought I nailed the all-day interview, - Yes.
- but when I had ten minutes left, I suddenly lost my concentration
and thought about something else. I just didn't hear the question, so I answered something
completely different. I'm not sure if that was
the crucial reason why I didn't get in, but it happened to me
so I couldn't stop thinking about it. If I got in then, - I wouldn't have become a YouTuber.
- Right. So it wasn't misfortune.
I was actually given another chance. There's no experience useless, and whatever crisis we face,
it can be a chance - to achieve success.
- Exactly. I didn't do well
in my national college exam so I went to a college
that wasn't my first choice. While I was joking around with my friend, I got to know about
viral marketing and blogs. If I did well in my exam and went to the college
I was supposed to go, I wouldn't have known about blogs and had no interest in viral marketing - Right.
- so I wouldn't have become a YouTuber. I wrote hundreds of
self-introduction letters. While experiencing many fails, my writing skills improved so it helped me write good scripts. Every experience I had has been helpful
in my career on YouTube. The things I thought were misfortune turn out to be blessings later. Now that you've reached
the top of the mountain looking back on the steps you took, you've realized all the crises
