surprised that it's not just ancient animals that are found buried in the ice how about finding an ancient human sacrifice so perfectly preserved that it looks like it's going to spring to life or that the cub was about one year old cave Lions went extinct about 10,000 years ago and only some tracks and bones were found this newly found specimen is so well preserved that you can see its facial features and its head was resting on its paw the remains are in very good condition considering the age and because they are well preserved there are hopes that the remains can be used to bring the animal back to life by cloning however there is a big debate about bringing extinct animals back to life among scientific communities if they do clone it you might hear about it here should we bring woolly rhino which was so well preserved that it still had its fleece and some experts are hopeful about extracting its DNA possibly for cloning the animal the Rhino appeared to be only seven months old when it succumbed to the cold the Rhino calf's remains weigh 132 pounds and were found by Alexander bandura and it was named Sasha after him the interesting thing is that the Rhino was reconstructed from the mummified remains by a taxidermist from the yakusan Academy of Sciences it's hair which was grey when it was found was returned to its original light reddish colour and it really surprised to scientists and by the way the region is the only known habitat of the woolly Rhino perfectly preserved maiden one of the most surprising things ever discovered frozen in ice is this 500 year old mummy of a 15 year old Incan girl one of the main reasons of course is the condition of the girl she is so well preserved that some may say it looks like she could open her eyes at any moment she has since been called the maiden and was an Incan sacrifice one of the interesting things about her being a sacrifice is that it was found that the girls suffered from a bacterial lung infection at the time of her sacrifice with that in mind she and her people might have thought she had a fatal disease and she became a willing sacrifice in which they were then given fatal substances
