cause only one came and i'd imagine they're limited one per person and i gotta make a video so i took a promo i already opened uh it's it's open already i just i took it back from the studio this thumbstick is great it feels awesome i don't know how long it'll last like that but it does feel really good so here is an n64 controller that i got off of ebay and it has a pretty decent thumbstick also it's a little weirder feeling than this one it feels like it was probably supposed to feel like this see how it's like wobbly and then when you get to a certain point it starts to get a little more resistance this has the resistance all the way through but it might just be like that because it's brand new this is my childhood n64 controller as you can see it got a lot of use see all that jiggling this one doesn't this one doesn't got no jiggling this one's jiggling look at all that jiggling but you can also see like look on the inside look look at all that white residue that's the freaking stick rubbing off this one has some but not that much this one feels a lot better and then this one obviously doesn't have any because i haven't even used this yet i just took it out of the box oh look it has the it doesn't have an expansion port so yeah haven't you actually like plugged this in or anything this looks so weird this is weirding me out how old and new this is at the same time can you change the button mapping first of all cannot remap so we're already i'm already mad that's very annoying all right well let's see what everything works as then a b d-pad down [Music] d-pad left [Music] d-pad up d-pad right zl this is the l r l d-pad again i'm very curious how that's gonna work because that's not how these games are mapped at all yo all right look at the top left it's got a little uh it knows that i'm using this controller wait so it's gray on the side because i'm using this controller and that's also new the sound okay it's a me mario hello uh suspend game user guide c up okay it's everything should just work fine then so it's just in normal it's just in normal gameplay that this thing doesn't work like in any other app this thing's just not going to surprising okay so it doesn't have it doesn't have controls for this but it works that's interesting that's the weird thing though is that so this the the c-stick the buttons register as a d-pad and the d-pad registers as a d-pad but this game knows the difference between the c buttons and the d-pad for some reason i wonder if developers can use that because like turok is a game it's an n64 game that's on the switch i could download that and try that but i just know it's gonna be weird the os wouldn't have the c-stick in it to show you would it no oh is that what that is it's showing me the d-pad because it just doesn't have a c-stick to show me it's freaking go dude let's freaking go [Music] let's go oh no it's pac-man it's already fuel you know what all right this controller like i was down with the with the stick i was like this actually feels really good this feels better than any xx4 controller i've ever used probably because it's new and the ones i've been using are old so i because i think i grab with with my left finger and roll with my right i can't really do my aerials because i don't have the jump buttons little t-bag t-bag for him nice it's kind of awesome to have a who the [ __ ] he was messing with bob you should try the green devil challenge no if you don't know about the green devil challenge that's when you uh you get a one-up or you you unlock a one-up and then it [ __ ] because the one some of the one-ups follow you so you reveal a one-up and then it'll chase after you try not to get hit in uh the super mario plus the the pc port you can turn on green devil mode and it'll actually kill you in real life in real life it kills you it's crazy that'd be a kind of funny little caveat me and jackson should race should do a speed run race of uh mario uh 64. but if you get a one-up you have to turn the stream off that would be kind of funny shoot to this island sky i go baby yo what where's the red guy i hate this controller this is not the ideal way to play this game at all not even a little bit where oh there it is hi like even though the right stick you have to flick it to move the camera this this thumb stick is garbage so like a look hi i wherever you want but it could fall into certain angles so you have pretty much free reign but if you want to fall in a certain angle it will for it will fall in for you you understand this one will
