couple more people want to weigh in on the phones uh dub who we got yeah we got john in new york john what you got for me hey did you did john misidentify the host of the show and then hang up on him i didn't punch him did you hang up on him dub no i think john may have panicked there did you i just totally panicked didn't i mean he waited a while what did he call you troy what do we have do we have audio of john's debut i mean that was the equivalent of uh like he was looking over the line he saw the mike linebacker coming and he just he bailed he got he threw it right in the third row of the seats that might be the fastest self self hang up of all time that was like jimmy g in the pocket this weekend if you saw him we get oh yeah that looked like jimmy that jimmy g i i have been people who listen i am not a jimmy g guy i i look i think he's a 20th best 16th best quarterback in the nfl whatever else uh been a lot of praise at jimmy g do we have the audio of that uh quick bail hopefully you'll last longer than with our guy in new york just don't ask my wife um that's a hell of an opening i think you just hang up now yeah i don't know that you're gonna top that line throughout this whole pandemic i've been working my rear end off all right so um my kids are so much more active and we've been doing a whole lot more things i've got my 12 year old daughter plays travel basketball i've got my one in high school play softball and we're busy um honestly and with the with the uh extra excitement around fantasy football that's where my interest is like i'm i'm i'm not for all the protesting and all the political stuff that's going on within politics but dude i mean we love sports you know i mean that's kind of where i'm at with it um so man i said i play all the fantasy stuff i'm really involved with all that i'll catch a little bit of a game here in air but man we're we're traveling we're i mean we live here in west virginia hiking hitting some you know doing all kinds of activities um just staying busy i mean it's really kind of the the quarantine is really kind of focused to family time you know and we've really focused around that kind of stuff so i don't have to sit in front of a tv for four or five hours thanks for the call you know it's interesting my nine-year-old who turned 10 year old monday right like literally he turned 10 during the titans uh the denver bronco game he said the other day that the quarantine is his favorite time ever he didn't have to go to school mom and dad were around home all the time we were watching movies together we're hanging out even more than we had in the past and i do think that you know look there are a lot of always negative stories associated with and will be written for decades and hundreds of years probably about 2020 but one positive if you're looking for something positive is i have heard a lot of people say that it brought them closer to their family and uh and and you know i think there are a lot of young kids out there that maybe their parents work a lot maybe their parents are busy they're out of the house they're spending hours going to and from work and suddenly they were home and they were all around and it was like time slowed down and for young kids i think many of them are gonna look back on it and be like hey that's the best time i ever got to spend with my mom and dad all right who's up next up oh we got blake in denver blake what you got for me hey clay hey did you watch if not why i watched the first game it was too late for the second game i'm flying to nashville today yeah i just want to know is that tiger caught thanks for the call uh by the way that was a late game i think a lot of us are still recovering who stayed up they gave it to until after 1 30 eastern uh the titans game against the denver broncos he's flying to nashville the tiger was not in nashville it was in knoxville danny g do we have an update on what happened with the tiger the last thing i think you told us was somebody said they might have gotten confused and it might have been what like a mountain lion instead of a tiger a bobcat yeah bobcat mountain lion like all those things are kind of the same word basically but okay so did we get any update or is there still potentially a tiger loose it was in knoxville not nashville right and i have not seen any new news on that all right so we just have to wait and see whether the tiger's gonna kill someone or not uh or whether it was just somebody who had gotten drunk in tennessee and thought they saw something they didn't by the way as someone who has often gotten drunk in tennessee and seen things that he thought he didn't uh i i'm not gonna take any uh shots there uh particularly because uh people haven't even had to start drinking heavily because the university of tennessee football season hasn't even begun yet uh who's up next we got bob in north carolina bob hey clay yeah hey what's up i love the show thanks for taking appreciate that yeah i did try and watch a little bit this weekend um and it's not the social justice stuff doesn't really bother me so much because i can just i can tune in you know after kickoff and watch a little bit but i was trying to watch the monday night games and i had to turn it off because it's the corona thing that really bothers me i can't see him watching all of the just virtue signaling mask wearing on the sideline yeah everybody's on the sidelines touching their mat pulling their mouth down pulling them up and then at the end of the pittsburgh uh giants game they've worn their math from social distance sort of on the sideline the whole game and then they all come to the middle of the field they're shaking hands yeah there's no math yes they thank you for that it's cosmetic theater right and i've talked about this if you go out to a dinner uh in a in a restaurant like i'm going out to dinner tonight i will have to put on my mask to say like hey you know travis party of whatever and they'll be like okay follow me and they'll take me to the table and as soon as i sit down i will take my mask off who am i protecting in the 45 seconds that i wear a mask into the restaurant and sit down at my table and then immediately take it off that's ludicrous right same thing i went to movies i've been to three movies gone to movie theater three different times the last month in order to walk into the movie theater i have to have a mask on as soon as i buy popcorn in a drink i can take my mask off and i can leave it off for the entire movie again 99 of the time that i am physically present inside of that structure i don't have to have a mask on it feels like i'm dressing up to be able to get seated i don't know what the situation is in california for you guys but i definitely notice that when it's on television like all of these guys have masks on the sideline and they're like we need to socially distance then first of all they play a game where they tackle each other throughout the entire game and then at the end of the game they all meet and they shake hands and they don't have masks on but for some reason the coaches need to have mast on on the sideline it doesn't make sense and oh by the way i feel the same way about the nba bubble like you're in the bubble you don't need to have max masson in the bubble you're getting tested every single day like it's all cosmetic theater it seems like to me and so i'm all look i'm not the guy who's gonna be like i'm gonna throw a fit over i have to have a mask to go into a store like i was in target yesterday going out uh buying things with my kids for for their birthday i was with my parents there um and uh and we went to the mall and all that stuff and i'm not gonna be the guy who's like i'm gonna fight over whether or not i have to have a mask on like if i go into costco and they require me to put a mask on i'll put a mask on right same thing like i wear shoes and i wear a shirt i don't think it's that big of a deal but the restaurant thing to me is just totally ridiculous like a couple of different times same thing with the movies i have forgotten my mask turned around had to walk back to my car got in the mask walked in put it on for 30 seconds said hey yeah clay travis here we got a dinner reservation they're like okay thank you mr travis they walk me to my table i immediately take my mask off what is the point of having a mask in a restaurant if you only wear it for 30 seconds it doesn't make any sense to me who's up next we got harold in north hollywood harold in north hollywood what you got for my man look travis i know this is your show yeah this is your show that's right when you turn into politics that bothers me i resent it because i get up in the morning and securely out here in the great state of california uh when you had the trumps on there that that really bothered me so you think i should say no hold on harold do you think the president of the united states wants to come on the show you think i should tell him no yes you do why don't you get no you turn it into politics no no but i've got harold harold i just want to i just want to confirm one more time if the president of the united states let's say joe biden wins if joe biden calls up outkick and he says hey i want to come on the radio show you think i should turn down joe biden let me ask you a question no no i'm asking you a question you said that you were offended that i had the president of the united states on the show i'm just asking you if the political party were different if barack obama had wanted to come on my radio show when we started this radio show and we were just getting going and barack obama in the white house had reached out and they said hey the president would like to come on your show you think i should have said no to obama you know what i'm you're showing your true colors by putting the president of the united states on the show you've downplayed this from the beginning this virus we have lost over 200 almost 200 000 people and you're okay to go to a restaurant do you know how many people hey harold do you know how many people die every year in the united states i don't want to hear that you know how many well that's kind of significant right 2.8 million people die every year in the united states every single day harold 7 500 people die and that's unfortunate but you know what we could avoid all these deaths dude travis look at the facts look at the science what what facts and science do you have for me haven't you really seen the news if you would have jumped on it sooner than harold you just hold on harold i want to point something out you called into my show to complain about politics and immediately wanted to talk about the coronavirus and the fact that i had the president of the united states on the show you didn't call to talk about sports at all you said you resented the show you said you were upset that i had the president on and you immediately said that the coronavirus like way too many people had died you didn't talk about anything sports i'll talk about sports you want to talk about sports well i mean you called me harold yeah no don't turn it around i'm not turning anything around you called me and immediately said we shouldn't have the president on you're being untruthful how am i being untruthful no no no you what is your where did you have joe biden on to see what he could say well first of all joe biden has an invitation but you just told me i shouldn't have him on you were upset that i had the president on what did you have junior on for junior adam one because i thought he was an interesting guest by the way what's interesting is harold you seem upset about the show but you know an awful lot about the show he's an interesting guest when he goes on there and continues to lie and you kisses both of their behinds that's disgusting you're disgusted by the show i'm disgusting by what you you turn the show into politics i'm passionate about this and i'm really upset and you get on every day you talk about oh we gotta go play football football we don't you don't you have not taken this thing seriously since the beginning you know everybody get out there i want i want everybody to go to work i want everybody to go to school i want everybody to play sports i'm consistent about that you live your life the way you want to but if you lost a loved one from the virus you wouldn't be talking like this i disagree i think that people are look again thanks harold you haven't said anything do you have any actual point that you want to make no that's it okay thank you you have a nice day too harold uh harold's upset that we had the president of the united states on harold's upset that i want people to go back to work and back to school and play sports and harold was upset that we talked too much politics on the show but he only called in to give me a political opinion it's pretty straightforward we are always going to have on this program the president of the united states on this program whenever we can have the president of the united states on this program that's whether it is barack obama donald trump bill clinton george bush joe biden whoever the president is you can disagree with me on a lot if the president if the white house reaches out and says the president would like to do your show the answer is always going to be okay period and if that upsets you you can go listen to a much less successful radio show somewhere else in the country but i think the vast majority of americans regardless of what their background is are going to say you know what president probably makes sense for clay travis to have the president of the united states in dub you said harold always calls in to complain yeah harold calls he's a frequent caller and uh every time i ask you know what's your name where are you calling from it it's uh oh no no i don't want to get on the air i'm trying to sleep i'm trying to sleep every time i mean he probably calls once a week i'd say what's interesting is harold listens to a lot of the show to have all these different complaints like what i learned early on in radio was some people get worried about complaints right i'm not the guy who cares about complaints i just genuinely don't care but what is amazing to me is the people who complain always cite like things that have been going on for months they're like well six weeks ago you said x and then two weeks ago you said why and then four days ago you said z and i'm like if you really hate this show what kind of sado masochist are you to listen every single day for the entire time and the truth is i'm not one of these people but some people have a hater gene and they get titillated by being angry and so they listen to the show it doesn't really matter to me whether you listen to the show because you think i'm the greatest human being of all time you're right by the way if that's why you listen or if you think i'm the worst human being of all time it doesn't really matter to me i was having this conversation with my wife last night she was like what percentage of the american sports audience in sports do you think like you and i was like 35 she was like you think 65 of people don't like you and i was like i think i'd be a 35 approval rating she was like that doesn't bother you i said no 35 is pretty good i said in my business it isn't a problem if people like you or don't like you it's a problem if people don't care right like the 35 who love me they would take a bullet for me they're out there fighting in the streets every day for out kick the 65 percent who don't like me i don't really care about them and that might not even be accurate it might be 50 50. it might be 55 like me and 45 don't like me i don't know what the percentages are i said i feel like 35 percent like me 35 is pretty good if i ever decide to run for elective office i could get to 50. put a couple of television ads up boom i'm at 50.1 percent dub anybody else waiting i want to try to get people in before we go to manics if so yeah let's go quick we got charlie and dayton charlie and dayton what you got for me what's going on clay uh i watched as much football as i could from thursday on up to monday but uh i was confused on thursday because alicia keys played like five songs and i didn't know which one was the actual black national anthem and i think it's starting to get to the point like is it a one-upsmanship thing where each league has to do a thing and then the other league has to react because i think to the point like i didn't even know a black national anthem existed i didn't either i would imagine i would imagine most black people don't know they're like what the hell are you talking about is there i mean the thing i wondered that thanks a call is there an asian national anthem and is there a hispanic national anthem and why are we excluding hispanic and asian people from playing their national anthem too
