This Bug Could Compromise Your Base in Project Zomboid

I've been getting a couple comments my blocking spawns video saying that zombies were still spawning inside people's bases well I didn't think there was a bug but lo and behold there is but first if you think you may be suffering from a base bug do yourself a favor and double check all walls and make sure you're not using a tall pull door anywhere all right good sweet here's the issue building player made walkways over walls are causing those walls to bug out this includes a second story floor in player-built homes let me show you what's going on I'll be using the zombie population map or zpm for short to help illustrate my point alright so we have a wall built up and as you can see we have a corresponding blue line on the zpm the Blue Line constitutes a barrier Watch What Happens as we add a floor above this wall as you can see for some reason some of these segments of the Blue Line disappear on the CPM almost at random this represents an open space for the director to spawn in Zeds If your player chunk isn't encapsulating your base or wherever this wall resides there are three ways to fix this but note you will not have the same tools available as in debug so the in-game fixes will need to be used on each individual piece of wall under a floor or walkway to ensure no gaps remain first build floors underneath these walkways after you've built the walkway this seems to reset them so if you're building a house raise the roof first and then finish with the floors second place furniture that acts as a barrier next to each segment of all an easy one is a player built chair just pick it up place it pick it back up rinse wash repeat until you've done this each piece of the wall last and most efficiently reload your game if you're playing solo this was a sure way to fix it for me if you're on a persistent server however the furniture solution will be the most time efficient and cost effective method to fix this problem [Music]
