Thieves steal, strip and abandon two chassis in LA

today we have a a PD call for uh LA PD actually and uh these uh chassis here were stolen and uh stripped out they took axles they took uh drums they they took everything these are brand new uh brand new chassis that they they spray painted obviously cuz they were stolen they came over here and dumped them and uh just tore them apart and so you can see some of the some of the nuts here on the floor which uh I'll probably put some here on the drum so that way when uh they're being transported they don't uh they don't come uh flying off so we uh we brought a I brought habanero with me today Joe it's a little late so I doubt he'll have his uh coffee cup with him but uh as always uh talking it away with uh with anybody here in this case it's a police officer there's all kinds of stuff up here from uh transients and all this stuff here but going to go ahead and uh just grab the bottom one and uh suspend it in the air so uh Joe could get under it and I'll uh go ahead and uh pick this up have the constraints of the trees but I won't be picking up much anyways while I boom over right under the trees right at the boom head the boom head place it right at the at the tree line and lift up mean I need to put some cones because uh surprisingly uh seen some videos where the where people run over Outriggers and damage stuff so I'll go ahead and uh block off this whole area here I never fails never fails here at Pepz we always uh especially here being in La we always get uh low wires and all kinds of obstruction so we definitely have we definitely have to uh H drop some ingenuity yeah of course yeah a this one I'm definitely going to definitely can to use my [Music] hooks so the front I use [Music] one over over here to since I'll be using uh two chains I'll be using my grab hooks my frame grab hooks these very very handy the reason why they're handy is I'll demonstrate the frame H frame the frame grab hook hooks onto this so that's so that's how it be on the opposite side and on the opposite side will wrap around which fits very conveniently right there on the frame cook and it's sticking up for some of the frames and um it's way better than using a regular chain because on the regular chain on the a regular uh grab hook it just grabs a point and uh this will be calling would be called Point loading damage your hook tear a hole through this so I'll will be using this one right there this will wrap it right [Music] here put this here just so it doesn't get caught or anything that'll be one using the second one on the opposite side it is Uncharted it's what I wonder if I should chain this to it what when I pick it up it'll be chained no yeah how they get it where picture were I know well you won't even be touching the stacks your Stacks are going to be somewhere over there you won't even be close to the tree I'll put in scatch them though you know what I mean just a little bit maybe 3 off yeah that one's fighting back there you can swing it over a little bit well if I swing it it's going to be like this it's going to be crooked huh yeah I think it'll be fine f because get the length of the bed your stocks won will probably be over there by black car it won't even be closed now you know what the de going to be it's going to be a lot lighter because there's no tires and rims on it just picking up the rear I need to move them [Music] tires they've been here for a month right there the transients probably took the rest fo well yeah they took all the line and Brake Chambers drugs so now I I slowly boom up and boom in just to bring it closer to me normally we saw my first setup I have put the lines a little on the front a little closer but since uh normally these have uh Wheels they're heavy so that's why we normally put them as far uh closer together to the center of the of the frame in this case we're missing everything so we have to put it further out just to be able to lift the front part the where it attaches there it is have it up in the air now jao will uh will back up and get under as soon as he stops talking to that [Music] cop [Music] jopo oh you can tag me on it and I'll post it for sure I always tag you I I don't have the video a be [Music] th should I put wood under there or not that it's they're drums it's flat anyway why didn't you put mats I can put mats I have rubber mats should we put them put them just in case that way doesn't slide either some these rubber mats you didn't put you wouldn't put mat good thinking that good see good thinking Pita say help I got a lot of them have these rubber mats from this uh job that we did back in uh was it maybe September or August want to set that down first move this over that way right there you want to put the other mat all right [Music] time beautiful [Music] La this pretty much uh concluded this lift aono is just going to chain down the the rest of it down to the bed and uh I'm going to transport this back to our yard for storage got some tension off this I can take off my chain frame grab hook watch the paint Joe huh watch the paint this one was fairly easy just put away the trucks and hono is uh chaining down the his tra is down transport
