They Just THREW This Away!? Trash Picking Ep. 168

all righty welcome back it's been a very long time since we've come down this way I can already see there's some sort of treasure piece out there but it looks like whoa slow down buddy looks like a piece of plastic it's a plastic lawn chair there's the dump I feel like it's gotten larger since last time we've been here which probably makes sense these also so it's weird it's like single stream cycle single stream recycling care so you get there I need plastic one through seven cardboard paper stuff like that aluminum cans and all gets separated eventually but you just throw it all in the same dumpster and the two dumpsters over here always only have cardboard in them so I don't know what that's all about but today is a wonderful trash picking day it should be another fun adventure or hopefully make this action-packed on Wayne drop off some recyclables and we'll get into it so let's do it got a nice decent pile here grab some things bloody things are thrown everywhere pull their fisher-price toy honestly I overhear it's like a lot of kids toys I want to take this milk crate with my money Christmas Elf on the Shelf you think it's in there it's not in there take the skies it's like a lot of garbage let's probably thought something probably garbage yep full of garbage probably the worst room to ever pull off in history rooms right here buddy this is a wooden dresser over here I think that's what it is Oh buddy of course it's missing one [Music] probably get yelled at for not grabbing that but buddy who always wants James and Jessie always want real wood furniture if that had the handle if that thing was still attached I would grab it but I think that thing's too far gone too far gone all right I suggest seen this guy he's probably pulling off these might be my crabbit I don't know that's not scrap there's a blue thing up here blue and written up he took it I seen him he grabbed there right off the top of that that trash can so funny thing is I actually just drove down the street probably 20 seconds prior cuz I swung around and tried to grab that dresser which I end up getting that other piece but I just seen this guy grab it those uh there are two two chairs there's a blue chair a red chair still has packaging you grab that right from this course eat wild I know that over there chunk so you never know if this scrap thing before grabbing it from their car see how deep it getting out of their vehicle picked up a bunch of these these actually no they're not sometimes they're metal fins they are not if you take off the fins you'll get electric motor price for that and I know copper seems to be going up or it's high as opposed to all the other non-ferrous metals out there like aluminum is just I think a little dumb here is 28 cents a pound and then dirty aluminum is like 6 cents a pound and what doesn't long ago when ackley aluminum was 40 and irony or dirty aluminum was I think 10 or 12 what is this this is old it's missing the front nobody it's a no-go I think we hit a good one here guys where's my my phone you changed the knobs on that that things like a $200 dresser an antique store not at taco stacks free markets and that to my friend I think it's the one of the either the older style this is right mom's things like you might as well just go home the older style backing it's not the pressboard backing and that's correct it is the older style backing which I absolutely love so yeah that's for someone like myself I usually get like 45 bucks for that like I don't change the knobs I don't spend 15 20 bucks on the knobs I just do what I do [Music] so tonight older-style backing you'll see how it's the wood it's real wood a lot of newer stuff if you get this stuff from Ikea I know mines IKEA furniture it's just like a very very thin piece of press board I think make sure you don't break those [Music] still has all forecasters oh no you're missing a caster that's not a problem damaged fisher-price it's not damaged fisher-price yourself a little workout bus probably the lightest one I've ever grabbed in my life Paris thank fry weighs like 30 pounds I usually have like a huge weight in them that weighs 50 pounds at least anyways nothing hopefully this guy is not a fake and that's actually brass but it looks like it's not it looks like that's painted looks like it's somebody painted it it's not even breasts it's like green could be brass underneath and a truck what these are if they are brass there's usually an iron bar that runs down the side so if you want to clean it oh we're not going this way that's not happening forgot about that if you want to clean it essentially which means make a little bit more money get clean brash price you're gonna have to take off those sidebars and get that iron piece now but it's got some weight so it's kind of my iron Wow I couldn't get to the scrap yard excited I have enough stuff the other day when I did trash picking so I just kind of left it in there would be not being a good day to find a girl though this is the person that uh let me go in their basement I'm taking her golf - OH what is in this mysterious bucket pieces of metal that was very disappointing that's I thought it was actually like legit stuff in there I guess not a little trick I read online is if you ever come across these boxes check them nope that's empty because sometimes they put the old fan in there or they buy it it's not doesn't work it's not the right thing whatever they throw it out they throw out the fan or the old fan do yourself a nice motor I'll chair I really beat up chair happy alright it's honor just took a plethora of bedbug feel like to my fate no it's actually aluminum but this dude just saved Thor on the iron pops it's got way too much padding it seems to be like it's scrap yards whatever you have a lot of stuff like this they don't even process if they just smash it up and I'd sent it to a refinery as is nobody it's kind of cool I saw this thing looks like a little bicycle or bike we're not Walker I bought shut my Friday 15 of those kind of things in it there's no like $10 on that locker memories memory it's like a bicycle it's like what that's all it is it's all it is a [Music] yard sale leftovers but wait a second 1969 well yours that that's 2000 well here is this 1965 [Music] like begins the last journey home alright got a hat rack or a clothes tree he's a hat rack might be a clothes tree I really like to call it shalvoy delicately put in there so it doesn't scratch my nice dresser like so no might grab this which looks like it's not broken at all this is definitely not an old one looks like the first time I ever got one that's not busted up it's in that mahogany tread but it's definitely not mahogany find a way to halfway make this work that should do right just turn August not too long ago but apple-picking isn't too far away that's what this guy is for up picking fruit off a tree you go like that you grab it off the tree it's all fun and dandy looks like it fit a coconut I don't know I mean you're supposed to be able to there you go there you go so it's like that no now it goes the other way but yeah it's a flea market I'm I've sold a bunch of them in the past almost missed this oh they are worked these guys aren't goner they are long gone unfortunately they're left on the Sun they'll get Warped it was like anything valuable but I stopped for records here's what I hope I don't get Clift try to park far enough away from this curve where this night comes flying around it they'll see me nice microwave here this one was really clean so who knows mint then this looks like a heater it's amazing how like seasonal items like if you bring this out to an auction in winter this is a heater this thing's gained like 20 bucks as is no one even knows if it works so random it's almost like you shouldn't be vest in this stuff are you gonna make $20 just possible so I always everyone to never buy electronics at an auction anything it's electrical it's why if you don't even see me like sell at the flea market because I hung those people I don't like I don't know if it works don't want to sell it all right so wow what a day it was awesome fine here this is amazing it does look like they replaced it so these drawers look like they have had some work done on them this should usually be I believe a wooden base on the bottom of this there might also be a yeah so it looks like the drawers were redone but this is still the original wood that was on this this is an amazing piece you go to any antique store you're paying 150 200 bucks for this maybe two and a quarter I don't think this ever had a mirror on it but this is definitely the style people want in this area is authentic you got to take off these knobs these knobs should not be here you got to put 1015 dollars in your hardware but everything else is immaculate me another caster overall another fun day of treasure hunt microwave heater clothes tree hat tree lots of scrap metal more scrap metal here a fruit picker we got some paper ephemera this isn't anything too great I think this is probably something where the person was a local to this and they were in there and then say a bang or Pen Argyl sleet belt it's something that's local so they probably were in it and they just saved the paper so nothing really too valuable but you know you might still get a dollar two dollars for this at the flea market it's somebody out there who likes newspaper or who's local it's gonna want that so maybe I'll just give it to paper moose I know she does a lot of paper ephemera I don't know she'd be interested in it but she is she can have it yeah fun treasure hunt absolute amazing treasure hunt as always lots of lots of fun if you guys enjoyed
