There's a reason they call them WOLFhounds

the tallest of all the dog breeds goes to the calm kind and agreeable Irish Wolfhound this is Grail and he is six and a half years old weighing in at 200 pounds Grail has never been groomed before due to most groomers being unable to accommodate his giant size these huge dogs got their name due to their ability to take down a wolf one-on-one despite their massive size they were built along Greyhound lines giving them the capability to run at Great speeds these Giants have a motto of gentle when stroked fierce when provoked I knew that when working with Grail that I had nothing to be concerned about in regards to his temperament Irish Wolfhounds are known for their tender fondness towards humans so the likelihood of him becoming reactive is slim to none due to their laid-back nature they make very poor guard dogs although their size alone would probably be enough to deter an intruder because of grail's massive size it isn't safe for me to groom him on my table so I'm going to work on him on the floor instead it's pretty obvious that he's very nervous but considering this is all new to him that's no surprise his nails were quite short so they did not need to be clipped and I also decided to skip the paw pad shave today in order for me to do his paws I would have to maneuver his legs into uncomfortable positions in combination with his size I felt that wasn't the best thing for him do not like being brushed after a good brush with my Coral sucker brush and my metal comb I gave him a small tidy in between his eyes using my thinning shears and then I sprayed them down in Spring rain cologne Grail is more than thrilled to be finished and he looks amazing thank you all so much for watching I hope you enjoyed the graceful Grail
