The wolves and scenery are breathtaking. I live in Oregon and I've backpacked and bicycled what seems to be every square inch of it. But there is one thing. Groups of hikers such as this must be avoided at all costs, unless you like pretentious, New Age(y) twerps. I'm serious. I'll go miles out of my way to avoid them.
