The Ultimate Gingerbread House Competition • Ladylike

the holidays are here you know what that means love and cheer no competitions and fight so taking away love each other but we are gonna compete for what it's ladylike and we're competing to see who can make the best gingerbread house the fastest cuz y'all like when we compete against each other you're monsters [Music] so let's make one thing clear this was my idea but I am NOT an expert at making gingerbread houses at all I might have decorated one once in my life am I good at making gingerbread houses no I'm more of a gingerbread house demolition artist I've built several gingerbread houses but probably none since childhood actually I think I built a couple in college I have made a gingerbread house before I haven't examined this kit I have a bit of technical doubts but I know that I have a lot of heart so the teams are gonna be broken up into myself and Chantal versus Kristen and Jen I think me and Fred do have some combined skills one we like building furniture too I guess this is kind of new territory for me but I am very competitive and y'all know I like to win there's no prize it's just a win I do have a competitive spirit but sometimes I'm hungry it could go either way oh my partner's gonna be Kristen I think that against Shawn town Fred we will do not well how much room is there for improvisation I was just think we're gonna win I don't think we have an advantage honestly if I'm being totally honest Jen is very crafty she loves DIY she loves making things largely Freddy likes to cheesy hey I found these gingerbread kits on Amazon where you have to actually build a gingerbread house from the ground up and then decorate the competition will be broken up into two segments segment one is gonna be the house building segment then pause and the decoration segment each segment will be timed and whatever team finishes that segment first will be the winner of that round then we're gonna have a judge come in and judge us on the overall presentation even if a team is the quickest at assembling everything and decorating everything that doesn't necessarily mean they'll win but here we go I have my apron on I'm ready I'm ready I'm so ready a snit let the games begin okay so we're about to start the competition it's gonna be a racing start oh this is a racing start yes it's a racing racing yes is everyone ready yes this one's actually have nails my way our gingerbread guys already cracked so the problem with ordering gingerbread kits from online is that they were not marked with fragile so our crackers are crap our houses are cracked and okay we'll just fill it with frosting it's plenty let's start laying out our doors and our sides and our panel and I think we should ignore the instructions yeah I think we should go buy anything so how do you put these together we're not supposed to use glue no you use icing is it against the rules to go get a hot glue gun yeah good how cracked ours is y'all readiness prices vary defrosting it also says you will also need granulated sugar cornstarch and confectioners sugar wait what that's what it says should we have opened the boxes first looks like Froyo this is oh wait how many minutes are we into this we've already spent 10 minutes Julie with I think honestly at this point it's just a firm getting a house Oh Jonas I'm Myron Eliza's by the most serious of our CEO is that the front can these houses be a little bit more abstract I think so I think they're gonna ask the ass be a suggestion of a house Jenna's like the master of this over here she is probably the person who is the best of this past I just have I say all for my yeah this is good this is good I like this oh that's a little cottage about it and then I'll cottage how much time do I have left [Music] let's do it they bid like if we just do that you know yeah and then oh yeah oh I love this house I'm gonna live here I'm putting in an offer how the hell did they do that I think this will just be here it's just the outdoors a feature it's a sunroom it's a sunroom we're just gonna build the sunroom it's fine you know what I think we should do we should go flags yes this is good this is good mm-hmm yes you wanted to eat the faces now the faces are gonna go on the roof or out looks like a crime scene are you guys done yeah we're done every piece we've used everything this piece is sturdy we got to do something with it oh you better front walk this is oh gosh no careful careful guys careful wall it's it's all wiggling it's always one stand far away from the house how did that go for your dad's team spectacular yeah I think it ever artwork speaks for itself initially we thought you know what we should follow the instructions and make the house on the box but it became very clear that that was not going to happen in 45 minutes so I was like you know what let's just build a house you have to make do with what you could we wouldn't for something creative and different and I think it'll pay off ultimately how's your house doing so we had out of eight panels six of them were broken and severely damaged we banded together we put together some sort of structure we lost the first round because we went to the very last second Jen and Kristen they had time to spare so we're back we gave our homes a little chance to drive some bathroom breaks got some snacks but you got over there in ten so the next phase is the decorating bag I'm fine I think our house is already decorated yeah disturbia meat scandal in yeah I will say I'm a little nervous about the decorating part I don't want anything to move all right should we get started oh yeah I think we should just go for it I think whatever you want just whatever you've ever wanted just put on this house oh you know we could do we could do one side of the house with ands on one side with Skittles okay I'm gonna do a garden Oh actually that's a better idea let's do let's do some gumdrops but can liner with gumdrops or jelly beans maybe we have more jelly beans do a knife is it like oh yeah you're right I can help the dude that we include to the side of the house just sinking into the dirt oh good look he's a little Bobby [Music] like going projects of the red and like it's something peddle of break back or something you what are you throwing stuff on my house you can do that should we draw a door little red front door oh you idiot or is your house have a door you not get it through the red Coon grunts we're eating cheeto dust our house know if that you know actually against it yes yes yay oh it's cute no their windows so like yeah absolutely office for Michael spots just fun [Music] we've completed our decoration segment did we finish first we did finish all right so we're one-on-one with me the decor and the decoration part very relaxing very soothing very therapeutic yeah I had I had a great time I think we work together very well too we each had a sort of a similar aesthetic in mind lots of patterning yes use similar candies tell us about your home this house continues to rock playing a garden in the back the gardens aside there's some blood one of the walls blue and their walls yellow well you may not know about this house is that so dope yes okay so now yes judge is gonna come in on by it she's not gonna know whose house is whose he's gonna judge the home and then she will tell us who the winner is bring in our guest judge welcomes alarm thank you for being our surprise celebrity guest judge I'm a celebrity yes basically this is a gingerbread house building competition it's kind of tied right now you are the tiebreaker and you will be judging the homes on aesthetic how it makes you feel inside creativity all of the above now that I've explained the rules to you I will let you do your thing oh my god okay hey so I'm just gonna do a little look around Wow though okay this is cute oh wow you guys really did it so the thing I like about this one is that like it's like a different kind of home you know I feel like it's like a mansion like they got a sunroom at least that's what I think it is the ginger man his body is broken up they got a nice garden it's well-kept I'm feeling this this one is adorable the gingerbread man is alive here and that's a good thing I don't know what happened with the roof maybe there was like an earthquake or something we are in California all right maybe I should judge I would prefer to live in this way it looks like the box closest to the box I mean none of them really look like the box rail but I think this one's creative you know aesthetics creativity everyone walked behind the house that you helped build wrong against Lord look at the tiling on this room that's why I said creativity goes to you guys what are the winners though these two are just pieces apart you know and so I can see that the hard work really went into this yeah I mean I just thought that looks tasty yeah it's tasty well thank you so much thank you guys gingerbread house making competition lady frosted lay can we eat the houses now I don't want to I want to I'm gonna auction this off and say that Banksy made it is there still cheeto
