thank you lord for this another opportunity to minister to these your precious sheep thank you lord that revelation knowledge will flow freely uninterrupted and unhindered by the satanic or demonic force and father i pray that you will speak through my vocal cords think through my mind none of me and all of you it's in jesus name we pray and everybody said amen could you give god just one more gigantic big hand clap he is worthy to be praised amen hallelujah you may be seated if you have your bibles go with me to romans chapter 6 and verse 14. since so many people are interested in tithing i'm going to keep teaching it here's the deal without grace lens can't see anything and you won't see it until you understand the grace and truth of jesus christ i want to start off with something and i'm always going to god and saying lord help me to articulate a thing help me to say a thing and to say it right nobody stopping you from giving the ten percent you can give 10 all day long you can tithe all day long that's that's up to you you can give a 10th you can give 15. you can get 20. that's your decision i'm talking about making people feel guilty and condemned and fearful and telling them they're going to hell and all that kind of stuff if they don't do that that's but anyway i think today will help i'm going to take a take a step back and i'm going to show you gracelands and give everybody a chance to put on some grace glasses and then once you put the grace glasses on then we'll continue and pursue proceed to where we need to be but as long as we're treating this whole thing like whole bible nothing happened when jesus came i mean jesus came to the earth and just everything stayed the same that's not possible nobody was even born again until jesus showed up you couldn't get saved until jesus showed up nobody in the old covenant before before jesus was raised from the dead was they were not saved they were not christian people that couldn't happen because it required jesus's death burial and resurrection in order to release that that new testament so let's get into this i thank god your ears are anointed to hear you're going to hear some things today that i think will bring clarity to your life and to your mind and i believe god is preparing us for whatever is to come that you will be ready to go amen romans chapter 6 verse 14 and verse 14 let's read it out loud together ready to read for sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law say out loud i don't live under the mosaic law now that i am born again i live under grace that's pretty clear right you're not living by the the standards or the dictates of the mosaic law you're living under grace now if you don't know what it means to live under grace then you'll continue to live under the law or or religious standard that you've always understood because there's no investigating in what does it mean to live life under the grace of god now let's look at ii timothy second timothy chapter 2 and verse 15. let's let's look at this in the message translation if you have it guys ii timothy chapter 2 15 uh in in the message translation uh let's try the amplified let's go to the amplified since i'm like oh pastor help us second timothy 2 verse 15 uh in the amplified yeah that that's good all right is it on screen now look at this study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to god approve test it by trial a workman who has no cause to be ashamed correctly analyzing accurately dividing and rightly handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth did you see that accurately correctly analyzing accurately dividing dividing skillfully teaching the word of truth if you can correctly divide the word you can incorrectly divide it if you can accurately get in the word it can also be inaccurate so you got to figure out what side are you on are we correctly dividing it or are we incorrectly dividing it but the word of god that's what we say we live by so we've got to get in the bible and we've got to understand that what was true maybe under the mosaic law may not be what's true uh under the grace of god divide it so you hear something where does that fit under the mosaic law or does it fit in the new testament under the grace of god you have to ask yourself that question because some things that are true under the old testament are not true under the new testament now i want to show you something i want to just give you this i want you to think about it listen very carefully there were some things that are true and happened before jesus died on the cross that changed after he died on the cross certain things were true before he died on the cross but things changed after he died on the cross let me give you uh maybe five or six illustrations number one we're before the cross people were blessed because of perfect obedience deuteronomy 28 and 2 he says and all these blessings shall come on thee and overtake thee if thou that's the condition if doubt that's the condition if thou condition a condition had to be met a performance had to take place if thou hearken unto the voice of the lord thy god you were blessed only if you did this that was the that was true under the before before jesus died on the cross so you were blessed because of perfect obedience well nobody could be perfectly obedient there was a requirement there you were bl there are lots of people that died under the curse because they couldn't figure out how to be perfectly obedient but is that same thing true today well most most of the church will say well you know if you're going to be blessed you're going to have to be perfectly obedient all right but is that so after jesus rose from the dead is it the same thing after the cross all right let's see what he says after the cross after the cross you're blessed because of jesus's perfect obedience before the cross you were blessed because of your obedience after the cross we're blessed because jesus is perfect obedience galatians 3 13-14 christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us for it is written curses everyone that hangeth on the tree that the blessing of abraham might come on the gentiles how through jesus christ say see we're blessed because of jesus in the new covenant we're blessed you're blessed because of jesus say that loud i'm blessed because of jesus the blessing of abraham you can't get it except through jesus take jesus out of the picture you can't get the blessing that abraham had well it's an everlasting blessing yeah but you got to get it through jesus and before the cross it was your obedience your perfect obedience that got you blessed after the cross it was jesus that got you blessed see the difference before and after all right let's look at the second thing what about being saved before the cross you were saved by keeping the commandment matthew 19 16-17 matthew 19 16-17 somebody says well why'd you go to matthew it was before the cross jesus was still alive and well and walking on the earth and so he is still operating by the mosaic law and he is telling people things according to the law and look what he says and behold one came and said unto him good master what good thing shall i do what good things shall i do what good thing shall i do that i may have eternal life or we call it born again or saved today he said unto him why call it thou me good there is none good but one that is god but if thou if thou same languages are used in the law if doubt will enter into life you're gonna have to what keep the commandments so here in the oak before the cross you had to keep the commandments in order to have eternal life did that change after the cross yeah after the cross we're saved by believing on jesus acts 16 30 and 31. acts 16 30 and 31 and brought them out and said sirs now you remember paul and silas in jail the jail the earthquake took place jail doors opened and they walked out and this this pr the prisoner guard was like oh my god they're going to kill me and he said and they bought them out and they said sirs the guard sirs what must i do to be saved or have eternal life the answer and they said believe on the lord jesus christ and thou shalt be saved so before the cross you had to keep the commandments after the cross believe on jesus christ notice it changed look at the third illustration what about forgiveness before the cross you must forgive others or god can't forgive you before the cross if you don't forgive other people then god's not going to forgive you and there are people that died and i heard preachers saying well they didn't forgive them so that's why they died and that's why god never forgave them and i'm thinking that's something wrong well that's what jesus said remember who jesus was and what he was doing matthew mark chapter 11 25-26 let me show it there before the cross before he died on the cross this was true mark 11 25 26 and when you stand praying forgive if you have ought against any that your father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses but if you do not forgive neither will your father which is in heaven forgive you your trespasses i don't know why that doesn't give you great concern because there may be people you still have some issues with and if that's so god has not yet forgiven you that's what it was before the cross let me show you another scripture just just to nail this down matthew 6 14 and 15. matthew 6 14 and 15. see we got to read our bible and study some people don't know enough of the word to even disagree you don't know enough keep your mouth closed you too ignorant to disagree you're too ignorant to make a comment you don't know enough matthew 6 14 for if you forgive men their trespasses your heavenly father will also forgive you but if you forgive not men their trespasses neither will your father forgive your your trespasses what is grace said in this that was before the cross yeah but that's in the new testament but it's it's it's not no it's not the new testament hadn't started yet new testament doesn't start the test testament can't go into the death of the testator hadn't started yet this is jesus operating as a prophet under the law but now did it change did it change after the cross yeah look at ephesians 4 32 after the cross god has forgiven you so you can forgive others after the cross god knew i have to forgive you first and that's going to enable you to forgive others because god knew that some some egregious things happened in your life and it was harder for you to forgive so he had to minister forgiveness to you so you cannot be equipped to forgive those egregious things look what he said in ephesians 4 32 and be ye kind one to another tenderhearted forgiving one another even as god for christ's sake hath already past tense what forgiving you all right and then look at colossians 3 13. colossians 3 13 forbearing one another and forgiving one another if any man have a quarrel against any even as christ forgave you first so also do you second so you can't really operate in forgiveness until you recognize that you have been forgiven did it change yeah we see something before the cross and we see something different after the cross all right what about love what about love before the cross it was love god first with everything look at mark chapter 12 30 and 31 mark chapter 12 30 and 31 see religion has taught us to live by mixtures you mix the truth of the oh before the cross with the truth of after the cross and guess what you get nothing you can't put new wine in old wine skin and get anything it it it will destroy it'll burst and it'll spill all right look what he said before the cross and thou shalt love the lord thy god with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength this is the first commandment i mean and the second is like unto it thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself there's none other commandment greater than these and i wrote books on this and i'm like oh my goodness i gotta love the lord with all my heart with all my soul with all my mind with all my strength and finally i thought i can't do that and then i asked who can do that because when i said i love the lord all my heart i'm like not with all my heart because my mama in there now with all my strength no i said what's wrong with it and then i felt guilty and i felt condemned because because i thought there were actually people in the church that loved god with all of their heart and with all of their mind and with all of their soul and with all of their strength and their wealth and their money and then i i couldn't i couldn't find nobody and then i asked lord who can do this jesus he's the only one that did it so now what did he do all right that was before the cross so see we spent so much time talking about how much i love god how much i love god how much i love god and you were struggling then your religion came in and just deceived you into thinking that you loved god the way you said you loved god but you didn't you didn't that's why you sinned and messed up and missed the mark you didn't he didn't have all your heart he didn't have all your soul all your mind i mean something you said yeah yeah he does you were lying in the link in your breath stink too man that's not sweet but yo that's that's not true you can't do that only jesus can so now what about today after the cross god loved us first to enable us to love him look what he said in first john 4 19. first john 4 19 says we love him how because he first loved us what is he saying if we if we never experienced his love for us we would never even be able to love him i love him because he loved me first he ministered love to me in a and and the first act of the holy spirit was to pour the love of god in our hearts enabling us to love what was ugly to love what was horrible to love what was painful we were able to do it because he equipped us with a supernatural love to love above our natural ability did that change yeah that happened after the cross can i give you a couple more and then we'll start preaching something else thought we started no this is prelude how about adam's sin before the cross adam's sin meant condemnation for all men romans 5 18. so when adam sinned it was condemnation for everybody everybody everybody condemned verse 18 says therefore it's by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation so according to this every man's is still condemned even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all to justification of life all right so check this out now so there's condemnation condemnation came on all men that was before the cross but what happened after the cross romans 8 1 what happened after the cross there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in christ jesus we would have been condemned today if it wasn't for christ jesus but now that there's a christ jesus there is no condemnation for every person that got born again every person that's made jesus the lord of your life there is therefore now no more condemnation so you're free to say i will not be condemned i am still useful i am i mean i am i can still be used by god even though you missed the mark there's no condemnation while you're in christ jesus because jesus on that cross took on all of our condemnation so we don't have to be condemned did it change did it change yeah so look what happens if you don't write the divided word and you're telling somebody something that was true before the cross without revealing to them that that has changed after the cross this era seems to be taking place in the pulpits of america not knowing how to rightly divide the word of truth you know we can say the same thing ourselves before the cross we were fools no good for nothing stupid jokers craze of the best of bugs but see now you're saved can't nobody be talking about that's you based on the last time they saw you because now that you're in christ jesus that truth has changed here's the last one and then we'll start you'll find this a little humorous before the cross we will command it to tie all right leviticus 27-30 and all the tithe of the land whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree is the lord's it is holy unto the lord we will command that they were commanded to tithe under the law deuteronomy 14 22 and 24 they were coming and tithing was a system under the law devised for you to give ten percent of your harvest and temperature of your cattle your ten percent now harvest don't take place every week [Applause] they can only give once a year if you're going to do the tithing system by the law my preachers are scared now oh lord this this you're gonna lost his dog on mine [Applause] and not only were they giving once a year the seventh year they didn't give nothing at all because the land had to rest and restore itself [Applause] if you're going to hold on to it hold on to it right now thou shall truly tithe all the increase of thy seed that the field bringeth forth year by year and thou shall eat before the lord thy god in the place which is which he shall choose to place his name there the tithe of all corn and wine and all thine all and the firstness of all thy herds and thy flocks that thou mayest learn to fear the lord thy god always 24 and if the way be too long so he said if it's too long for you to take your herds and and and take all your your stuff from the land he says we only then will we give you permission so that thou art not able to carry it or if the place be too far from thee which the lord thy god shall choose to set his name there when the lord thy god god has blessed thee you can take these things and he said sell it turn into money and then take it to the nearest place you we we we're not reading we're not reading yeah but abraham tithe no it wasn't called the tithe then it was the 10th jacob tie it wasn't called the tithe it was a tenth but that's what time means is the tenth yeah that's the name they gave it then and just stole it from them thinking that if abraham the father gave it and and jacob gave it then we had to do the same thing they didn't give to try to get blessed abraham and jacob were already blessed abraham and jacob gave out of appreciation for god taking care of them jacob said if you'll clothe me protect me if you'll feed me i'm going to take this rock right here and i'm going to show up and i'm going to worship you for being the god that takes care of me i am now giving as a response to a god that is able to take care of me abraham found out that he won that battle in the kings hallelujah and then the victory the victory came to abraham because of the god who was the possessor of heaven and earth and when that victory came to abraham at melchizedek told him this here will happen it wasn't you and it wasn't your servants it was god that showed up and i know y'all wasn't expecting me to come but i'm showing up with bread and wine cause i'm pointing at jesus that'll show up in the future and that jesus in the future will do the same thing that's being done right now he will give you the victory he will give you the healing he'll give you the deliverance and today today i give in response to the finished works of jesus christ i am giving because i depend on him i am giving because he's already given me the victory abraham and jacob were not involved in the law of tithing they were involved in responding to a god who would take care of them all the days of their life [Applause] well did that change but after the cross did giving change after the cross now again abraham decided to give a ten you can keep giving giving a ten if that's what's in your heart keep on just giving the time but then in my heart tomorrow because i'm just thinking like oh my god look at what he did for me and i write a check for a tenth and i'm like that's that ain't true that's true that's too little and then i think what he did i'm like oh that ain't enough and and so you uh a tenth is a good little goal to start at if you want to you got to start somewhere you understand what i'm saying i mean that that that that woman with the widow's might she started with a mite oh but if the bible recorded her after that might hallelujah all those poor people in second corinthians chapter eight they gave and they were poor and going through stuff but there was a grace of giving that came on them and poor people were begging paul please let us do what we can do because we've got to be involved in this offering right here now you know it's got to be great to inspire a bunch of poor people to want to give because of grace that was already on them [Applause] ain't nobody talk what you give is between you or god you can give a tenth you can give 20. you can get whatever you want to do but but but when you start seeing him as a possessor of heaven and earth and when you start seeing him as the god you can depend on when you start seeing him as a god that'll heal you when the doctor said there's no way for you to be healed when you start seeing him as a guy who can take care of all of your financial and material needs when you start seeing him as the one that can stop you from going to hell and allah and then all of a sudden it ain't going to be enough you're like i got to give him more i got to worship him i don't know where i would have been if it had not been for the lord on my side [Applause] and that's why i am my giving is from a willing heart because i am convinced every day that i can depend on god to take care of me and he can if he gave me his son he'll give me the money to pay my light bill if he gave me his son he'll give me a promotion if he gave me his son i can't help it praise god i've got to give and and me and with me and taffy 10 ain't enough especially when he blesses you it just ain't enough but ain't nobody telling you not to give ten percent you give ten percent all day long as you want to that's between you and god but i'm telling you something changed there was a new revelation that was given us after the cross was the better if you want to stick with the norm stick with the norm the average i want the better you stick with abraham but i'm going with jesus i want the better you can stick with the old covenant but i'm going with the new i want the better yeah you can stick with rules and regulations but i'm going to go with the holy ghost hallelujah i want the better you can stick with tithing but i'm going with generous giving i want the better [Applause] this is not about money this is about your dependence on the on the god who possesses heaven and earth this ain't about cash this ain't about your pocketbook this is about your heart can you trust god to take care of you [Applause] so what changed after the cross second chronicles chapter nine verse six through seven second chronicles chapter nine verse 6 through 7. let's look at that in the uh in the uh nlt oh my goodness we started off talking about depending on god and then the rest of the world put their nose in our business we're talking about depending on god and we're talking about our giving is our response to a god that we can trust to take care of us therefore we have no more fear about giving because we know that god takes care of us he said remember this a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop but the one who plants generously will get a general's crop i see paul saying you got to decide what to do i'm just telling you there's a better that's on the scene you must each decide they go he's you gotta decide you must eat you must each decide in your heart how much to give [Applause] after the cross you got to decide in your heart how much to give you got to decide if you want a little he said i'm going to show you how to get a little if you want much i'm going to show you how to get much he said but that is no longer my decision or the decision of my priest it is now your decision because you have christ living on the inside of you you got to decide how good do you think he is do you really believe that if he gave you his son he'll give you everything else where are you in depending on him how will you respond to a god that has taken care of you that's delivered you up out of a ditch that took the cancer away from you when the doctor said you had it how will you respond and you'll never respond to god like this without opening the door for him to come and do something extravagant for those who will trust him because remember his grace is still all about this unrestrained infinite love that comes out of jesus and will work especially for those who depend on him he says you must you must each decide in your own heart how much to give and don't give reluctantly you know what he says don't give if you don't want to if you don't want to give fine take your 2.50 go to mcdonald's buy your happy meal and and and and then you know you're an hsc though basically but here's what it says don't give reluctantly or in response to pressure for god loves a person who gives cheerfully and out of his heart not somebody that gives responsive pressure now let me show you as human beings if i came up to you and um i gave you a a brand new shirt and i said i said here uh this is a gift i didn't want to do it mama never made me do it would you like that what would you be tempted to do you might do it right yeah you can keep this i want this i don't want this because you didn't want to do it in the first place don't do me no favors why do you think god's felt all this time i'm getting i'm bringing the tithe because i have to i'm gonna bring you the tithe because you know i ain't want nobody to be calling me no robber and besides all that i don't want to be cursed so our show can use this for him really that's all i'm trying to say is after the cross he removed the rule keeping and the pressure and that's why paul says here do not give in response to pressure fear is pressure condemnation is pressure telling you that you are a robber is shame which is pressure that's what people try to do they try to shame you or put pressure on you it changed didn't it after the cross it changed it wasn't like this before it changed after the cross all that stuff about uh the commandment today all that was true it changed we still needed to do a little work on it we still manipulated it around a little bit now let me let me show you something now now let's focus on the apostle paul for a moment because the apostle paul was the one that's you know he's the uh wow like a guy you should say you want a nugget go to luke chapter 9 verse 28 and 36. luke chapter nine so so you got to make a choice today you got to choose and i appreciate all your prayers and support but me and taffy ain't listening to none of that we don't we don't hear i don't know i don't know what these people talking about we listen to that only way i knew what's going on is the people i know called mother now i'm like man there's none of that ain't bothering us a bit man we still eating tacos and all that kind of stuff what y'all i'm not their pastor i'm your pastor the same jokers who ain't never like me are the same ones that still don't like me [Applause] are you there oh man this is good and it came to pass about eight days after the the sayings he he took peter somebody say peter john and james and he went up into a mountain to pray and as he prayed the fashion of his countenance was altered and his raiment or his clothes was white and glittery and behold their talk there talked with him two men which were moses and elijah now wait a minute they were dead but he talked to moses and elijah who appeared in glory and spake of his deceased which he should accomplish at jerusalem but peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep and when they were awake they saw his glory and the two men that stood with him and it came to pass as they departed from him peter said unto jesus master it is good for us to be here and let us make thee three tabernacles one for thee one for moses and one for elijah not knowing what he said while he thus spake there came a cloud and overshadowed them that was god and they feared as they entered into the cloud and there came a voice out of the cloud saying this is my beloved son hear him and when the voice was passed jesus was found alone and they kept it close and told no man in those days any of those things which they had seen well what in the world was going on now peter petros means stone james means jacob or the supplanter or replace glory to god and john means grace the stone or the law written on stone has been supplanted or replaced y'all don't hear what i'm saying by grace moses came representing the lawgiver elijah came representing the law restorer god showed up and said we don't need moses no more we don't need elijah no more there's only one person you need and his name is jesus hear ye him don't hear moses no more don't hear elijah no more hear jesus [Applause] and we're still not listening now kenneth said you you know you were studying you got you told this out of your little legal pads now what about the apostle paul uh the apostle paul and tithing how does that work the apostle paul is the guy that jesus met on the road to damascus jesus gave him this call to preach the grace of god to the gentiles let's look at philippians chapter 3 4-11 in the nlt philippians chapter 3 four through eleven in nlt past we're going to a lot of other scriptures that's what we're supposed to be doing that you're supposed to learn what this bible says and correctly analyze it [Applause] now here's paul listen to him this is the scripture of who he is though i could have confidence in my own effort if anyone could indeed he said if i would be the one indeed if others have reason for confidence in their own efforts he said i have even more confidence and he gives us his portfolio here i was circumcised when i was eight days old i am a pure blooded citizen of israel and a member of the tribe of benjamin of real a real hebrew not them a real hebrew you know a real for real hebrew if there ever was one i was a member of the pharisees paul was a pharisee who demanded the strictest obedience to the jewish law i was so zealous that i harshly persecuted i harshly i harshly persecuted the church i was the one persecuting the church and as for righteousness i obeyed the law without fault i once thought these things were valuable but something happened on the road to damascus and i believe something happened on your road to damascus praise god and i believe somebody having a road of damascus experience today is happening right now but now i consider those things worthless because of what christ has done yes everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value o glory of knowing oh my goodness of knowing christ jesus my lord for his sake i have discarded thrown away discarded everything else counting it all as garbage so that i could gain christ and become one with him i no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law rather i become righteous through faith in christ for god's way of making us right with himself depends on faith you don't need faith to keep the law that's right the law says if you do it you get blessed if you don't you get cursed you don't need faith to keep the law he says i want to know christ and i want to experience the mighty power that raise him up from the dead i want to suffer with him and sharing in his death or so that one way or another i will experience the resurrection from the dead come on keep going and i don't mean to say that i have already achieved these things or that i have already reached perfection but i press on to possess that perfection for which christ jesus first possessed me wow wow as a former pharisee we would expect paul to advocate tithing but he does not mention the t word from the time he had this experience it never came up it was not tithe it was generous giving now obviously paul did not want new gentile believers to be tempted by judaism keeping the gospel pure without adding jewish rules was his constant concern for example galatians 2 in the nlt galatians 2 verse 11 through 21 he has this issue with peter and verse 11 he says but when peter came to antioch i had paul said i had to oppose him to his face for what he did was very wrong when he first arrived he ate with the gentile believers who were not circumcised and jewish law says if they're not circumcised you're not supposed to have nothing to do with them he said but when they first came and preached the gospel of grace he ate with the gentile believers who were not circumcised but afterwards when some friends of james came see now you're acting brand new because your friends showed up [Applause] but afterwards when some friends of james came peter wouldn't eat with the gentiles anymore he said he was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumstance circumcision the greatest deliverance you can have is deliverance from people you're never going to be able to do things for god and fulfill your total will being afraid of criticism the daily confessions taffy taught us on right and wrong motives that every there's some you can have great motives you have wrong motives but everybody got a motive for why they do what they do everybody got a motive for why they say what they say either by faith or fear you're motivated somehow he says as a result other jewish believers as a result of what he did other jewish believers follow peter's hypocrisy and even barnabas now was led astray by their hypocrisy paul said when i saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message see now you can't just say the whole bible is true he is now talking about the truth of the gospel message so even when you see the word truth in the bible is he talking about the truth of the old covenant or the truth of the gospel message he said i said to peter in front of all the others since you a jew by birth have discarded the jewish laws and are living like a gentile why are you now trying to make these gentiles follow jewish traditions you and i are jews by birth peter we're not sinners like the gentiles yet we know that a person is made right with god by faith in jesus christ not by obeying the law and we have believed in jesus christ so that we might be made right with god because of our faith in christ and not because we have obeyed the law for no one will ever be made right with god by obeying the law but suppose we seek to be made right with god through faith in christ and then we are found guilty because we have abandoned the law would that mean christ has led us into sin absolutely not rather i am a sinner if i rebuild the old system of the law i already tore down [Applause] i'm a sinner if i get back into the law when it's already been torn down for when i tried to keep the law it condemned me so i died to the law i stopped trying to meet all its requirements so that i might live for god my old self has been crucified with christ it is no longer i who live but christ lives in me so i live in this earthly body by trusting in the son of god who loved me and gave himself for me i do not treat the grace of god as meaningless for if keeping the law could make us right with god then there was no need for christ to die now if you sit out there like you don't want this you don't want it i'm putting it out there it's like if i put a hamburger out there and you just look at it for three hours you just didn't want the hamburger so paul's teaching on new testament giving what was it so we'll spend the rest of this series looking at because some preachers might say well if you tell people not to time then how are we going to pay our light bill pay attention to this new and better way and you ought to be trusting god for your light bill anyway and not the people what i look like trusting you i got to trust god because you might get mad at me one day you might not like what i say monday or you might you might just walk by me and not speak to me one day i got to trust god well you might leave the church come up there with that lie to my the lord leading me to another church you ain't you don't yeah you don't know enough to even know what he said to you for you to do and you go right here like you have tea and coffee with god every day you don't you don't know what he's saying you you just wanted to leave just tell the truth tell the truth i want to leave because i just feel uncomfortable being in a church that's been talked about so much yeah you not of us you got to be of us because if you are of us you'll still be with us but because you're not with us you're not of us there's something about a world changer that just don't cap a world changer that'll depend on god a world changer hey glory to god i'm a world changer this ain't made for everybody but a world changer was built for this kind of stuff that's what we do [Applause] you got a lot of me and tell me why you're in here no more i know why you're here no more you're not you ain't got the world changer pedigree edible shot in every world changer there's a there's an anointing to fight the good fight of faith in every world changer we're not scared we're not scared when folks start talking a world changer will stand on that word no matter what comes come hell or hot water i'm a world changer so i get it [Applause] i'm trying to have sweet lips but god been too good to us and in defense of the gospel i let a lot of stuff go but in defense of the gospel [Music] you know i thank god that god gave me taffy if i ain't have her i don't no i think god for world changes church international this is right [Music] what do we do this morning we've been reading that's right it's right it's it's how do you not the only way you don't see this is that you don't believe it so you don't put no grace glasses on and you continue to be blind well i've been in the ministry 90 years isn't that sad and you still ain't got it 90 years and you still can't see that jesus is my everything in him we move in him we breathe in him we have our being he is the way in he's the way out he's the gatekeeper he's the gate i mean what do you not see maybe it's pride maybe it's that thing on on side of inside on inside every person that kind of they want to be important and they don't know how to deal with that pride except to be mean and nasty and ugly with other people and jealous and envious to say what moves you to be so nasty and mean nasty but i'm a world changer [Applause] making a mark that cannot be erased [Applause] okay so what did paul teach about giving this is we're new testament people born again people after the cross what did he say he did did he instruct us on giving yes a whole bunch i'm gonna give you something today and then next week and then maybe something he said so much i don't know why people are gonna run and i repent i do know they're not reading or they can't read or they don't want to read i feel guilty if i gave god just ten percent i would now you might not because that might be a healthy amount for you but i feel guilty by just getting 10 it would be just something but wrong i can't do it every time i look at what he's done healed me of meningitis and i'm i'm still at 10. heal me of cancer and i'm still at 10. rescued me from a plane wreck and i'm still that 10. [Applause] for creflo so love god that he gave willingly out of his heart because he believeth in him and he won't perish that's my response to him that's all i'm saying you can do whatever you want to do because that's what i learned throughout the pandemic people do what they want to do you see them in public you see them at mall you see them at restaurants baby when you come back to church well i'm not ready i don't feel safe yet no you do what you want to do you go where you want to go and breathe on whoever you want to breathe on get breathed on by whoever you want to be breathing on you do what you want to do don't come down stop lying remember when taffy taught that sermon online quit life you're not being spiritual you're lying but the lord ain't letting me back yet you he [Applause] [Music] [Applause] you know [Applause] all right let's see if we can get at least one in number one here's the first teach thing paul taught in the new testament about new testament giving paul taught proportional giving proportional giving what am i saying here that what we give should be a proportional it should be proportional to how god has given to us and that no matter what season we may be in financially we are all able to give generously he taught proportional giving that we should give in proportion to how god has given and how he's blessed us now second second corinthians 9 and verse 6 and nlt uh just noticed that again he said remember this a farmer plants only a few seeds will will will uh get a small crop but one who plants generously will get a generous crop in verse seven he goes on and says remember this a farmer who uh verse seven you must each decide in your heart how much to give uh and don't respond to pressure okay look at first corinthians 16 and two in the nlt first corinthians 16 and two in the nlt it's just so much in the in the new testament showing us how to live this life first corinthians 16 2 says on the first day of each week all right so now he's not talking about once a year because we're not dealing with with harvest and grain well when on the first day of each week you should each put aside a portion of the money you have earned don't wait paul said until i get there before you try to collect it all at once that's what some people do they say it's often time then we go digging right there he said i'll put it aside do it intentionally and on purpose and in second corinthians chapter eight and two in the nlt he kind of rehearses it again ii corinthians 8 and 2 they are bringing tested they are being tested he's talking here by many troubles he's talking about the church of what was in macedonia they're being tested by many troubles and they are very poor whoa now see for the church right now there's always an attempt to shame people that are are in the church and they're poor you ought to be ashamed of yourself for taking an offering up when those people are poor okay and you know i i i all of us has probably been poor one time or another in our lives and that's why he's talking about being so generous but look the anointing that came on poor people it came on me i shared this testimony about i was so broke that when the offering plate came by on sundays some of y'all remember doing this because i taught you this i wrote an amount on a piece of paper because i didn't have no money and i put the paper in the bucket because i didn't have money it represented that i believe that one day i'm gonna be able to be a giver and i remember this one day i put that paper in there it said five dollars i want to start off kind of small you know get my faith up there and as soon as the benediction was given a lady walked up to me and gave me 20 bucks now i didn't go to mcdonald's i wouldn't found the usher and i said hey here's my offering and that was the last day that i can remember that i didn't have something to put in the bucket that was the day he said they're being tested by many troubles and they're very poor but they are also filled with abundant joy which has overflowed in rich generosity only a work of grace can cause somebody who was poor to overflow enriched generosity they said they didn't have much to give but they gave what they could i dare you to do a historical tracing of the macedonia church those pill people didn't stay poor he said he said for i can testify that they gave not only what they could afford but far more and they did it of their own free will amen that's what paul taught and we see a illustration of this in mark chapter 12 verse 41 through 44 in the nlt mark chapter 12 41-44 in nlt so this is going to be pretty exciting he says jesus sat down so jesus sat down near the collection box can you imagine somebody sitting down near the collection box in the temple and watching what you give some of y'all will be highly offended if we sat there and watch what you give you're like you know you you too close to me you in my business it ain't none of your this between me and the lord well that was the lord sitting there watching and guess what he's still watching and he watched as the crowds dropped in their money he said many many people many rich people put in large amounts then a poor widow came and dropped in two small coins jesus called his disciples to him and said come out and teach y'all something he says lord i tell you the truth this poor little woman has given more than all the others who are making contributions now remember there were a lot of rich people there and then this poor widow woman for they gave a tiny part of their surplus but she poor as she is has given everything she had to live on what was she saying they gave out of their surplus she gave out of her living paul is teaching this for a reason you're not supposed to stay in the same place she gave depending more on god to take care of of her because she probably gave the last that she could eat off of what she was doing she said i depend on god so much that i'm not afraid to give this and know that he will take care of me and he did i guarantee you he did and i guarantee you i'm out of time and i guarantee you we're going to finish this next week amen now i don't know what it's going to be like this week but we got grace life convention and we're going to be focused on the grace of god amen everybody lift your hands up right now just lift your hands up and just begin to thank god for your understanding that your understanding is being enlightened that your understanding is being enlightened the lord said to us this past wednesday that there is a reset taking place in the church first the shaking and then you know how your telephone gets stuck and you have to cut it off in order to reset it there's a reset happening in the
