you corrupted your wisdom because of your Splendor so I threw you to the earth I made a spectacle of you before Kings Lucifer's Beauty and wisdom were corrupted by his pride leading leing to his ultimate downfall his story serves as a warning against the dangers of vanity and self-centeredness reminding us of the importance of humility and obedience to God the consequences of Lucifer's fall were severe he was cast out of heaven and became known as Satan the adversary Revelation 12:9 describes his Fate The Great Dragon was hurled down that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan who leads the whole world astray he was hurled to the Earth Earth and his angels with him Lucifer's fall serves as a reminder that pride is a dangerous and destructive force that can lead to spiritual ruin it teaches us the importance of humility and obedience to God's will reminding us to always seek his glory above our own pride and ambition pride and ambition are common traits that when unchecked can lead to destructive behavior and spiritual downfall the Bible provides several cautionary tales in teachings on the dangers of Pride and ambition urging us to cultivate humility and contentment instead Proverbs 16:18 warns Pride goes before destruction and a hotti spirit before a fall this verse highlights the correlation between pride and downfall emphasizing the importance of humility in avoiding such a fate cast out of Heaven the biblical account of Lucifer's rebellion and subsequent expulsion from Heaven serves as a powerful reminder of the consequences of Disobedience and pride Lucifer once a beautiful and Powerful Angel was cast out of Heaven due to his desire to exalt himself above God Revelation 12: 7-9 further describes the conflict in heaven and Lucifer's expulsion then war broke out in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back but he was not strong enough and they l lost their place in heaven the Great Dragon was hurled down that ancient serpent called the devil or Satan who leads the whole world astray he was hurdled to the Earth and his angels with him Isaiah 14: 12-15 describes Lucifer's Fall From Grace how you have fallen from Heaven Morning Star son of the Dawn you have been cast down to the Earth you who once laid low the Nations you said in your heart I will Ascend to the heavens I will raise my throne above the stars of God I will sit enthroned on the Mount of assembly on the utmost Heights of Mount Zen I will Ascend above the tops of the clouds I will make myself like the most high but you are brought down to the realm of the Dead to the depths of the pit this passage illustrates Lucifer's prideful Ambitions and his desire to exalt himself above God his rebellion led to his expulsion from heaven and his transformation into Satan the adversary this passage portray ra the epic battle between good and evil culminating in Satan and his followers being cast out of Heaven the story of Lucifer's Fall From Grace serves as a reminder that Disobedience and Rebellion against God's will have severe consequences it teaches us the importance of humility and obedience urging us to learn from Lucifer's mistakes and remain faithful to God's commands let us heed this warning and strive to live lives that honor and glorify God in all we do this this is was a battle between good angels and angels that are now referred to as Fallen Angels Fallen Angels Are Spiritual Beings who rebelled against God they now serve Satan the Prince of Darkness and seek to oppose God's Will and Lead Humanity astray these beings have been depicted in films television shows and popular literature many ask do Fallen Angels only exist in the domain of fiction is there something more more real about these ominous creatures yes they exist and may have a greater impact on our lives than we could realize or contemplate in our daily lives however not everything we hear about them in popular culture is accurate Michael faces the dragon and his fallen angels for any team to win there must be a contest Revelation 12 describes the ultimate battle between good and evil the hosts of Heaven take on the dragon and his angels does good eventually win and there was war in heaven Michael and his angels Waging War With The Dragon the dragon and his angels waged war and they did not Prevail and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven Revelation chap 12: 7-8 war broke out in heaven while Satan is likely headed to Hell he's not presently there it's common to see cartoons depicting Satan in a red outfit with a pitch fork and pointed tail but such medieval folklore is hardly faithful to the biblical picture in Job 1 Satan is mentioned as having access to heaven and visiting God's presence there this brings us to Revelation 12 where the devil and his imps march on Heaven creating a cosmic spiritual conflict as the dragon fought he did not Prevail the Archangel Michael was God's champion and Commanding General of God's forces we read Michael and his angels the most well-known Angelic being in the Bible is probably Michael along with Gabriel what exactly does Michael's role as an archangel entail in what capacity does he fit into God's Heavenly Host what is he accomplished and what are his duties Michael that name begs the question who is comparable to God many parents who name their sons Michael have no idea what the name means Michael is introduced to a by the Prophet Daniel Michael and his angels fought with the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought this is a dramatic scene of a battle between good angels and evil angels faithful angels and Fallen Angels who fights in this battle Satan represents the dragon and Satan is not God's counterpart God has no peer Michael the chief Angel opposing this chief of Fallen Angels why is the battle fought in a previous scene of conflict between Michael and Satan Jude n Satan had faced Michael here is another occasion where Satan wants to get in the way of God's plan for the end times based on Daniel Jewish people recognized Michael as their Guardian prince who would defend them from the angels of the other nations who sought to oppress them Daniel 10:3 but the prince of the kingdom of Persia was standing in the way for 21 days then behold Michael one of the chief princes came to help me for I had been left there with the kings of Persia Michael could singlehandedly ward off angels of other nations Michael's power however had limits he could not overstep his authority and hence could not act against Satan himself without the permission of gods Jude 9 but Michael the Archangel when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses did not dare pronounce against him an abusive judgment but said the Lord rebuke you here however Michael and his forces cast down Satan's forces symbolizing Christ's Earthly victory in heaven when is this battle fought this battle happens at the midpoint of the seven years as described by Daniel Daniel 12:1 now at that time Michael the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people will arise and there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time and at that time your people everyone who is found written in the book will be rescued how is this battle fought we know this is a real fight but is it a material or spiritual battle our battle with Satan and his demons is spiritual fought on the battleground of Truth and deception of fear and faith Ephesians 6: 12 for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the powers against the world forces of this Darkness against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the Heavenly places regarding material attacks against the believer Satan and his demons were disarmed at the cross Colossians 2:15 when he had disarmed the rulers and authorities he made a public display of them having triumphed over them through him in his classic work Paradise Lost the great poet Milton imagined this battle Michael bid sound the Archangel trumpet through the vast of Heaven it sounded and the faithful Army run hosana to the highest nor stood at gaze the adverse Legions nor less hideous joined the horrid shock now storming Fury Rose and clamor such as heard in Heaven till now was never arms on Armor clashing braid horrible Discord and the matting wheels of Brazen chariots raged dire was the noise of conflict overhead the Dismal hiss of fiery darts and flaming volleys flew and flying vaulted either host with fire so under fiery cope together rushed both battles man with ruinous assault and insting isable rage all heaven resounded and had Earth been then all Earth had to her Center shook Revelation 12:9 immediately following Satan's defeat and prior to to his war against the church a loud voice in heaven proclaims God and His people's victory over Satan the accuser in verse 9 the dragon is identified as Satan but in verse 10 he is described as the accuser who brings charges against God's people Satan refers to his identity but accuser refers to his role in God's war against his people since Believers triumphed over Satan they're confident of Victory even though Satan continually accus uses them their victory over Satan was based on three factors the blood of the Lamb their faithful testimony to Jesus their faithfulness to Christ a faithful testimony to Christ brings them victory in the spiritual war we read so the Great Dragon was cast out throughout this verse our spiritual enemy is referred to as Dragon The Serpent of Old Devil Satan and the one who deceives the whole world these titles Des describ Satan as vicious an accuser an adversary and a deceiver we read he was cast to the Earth Bible describes various Falls of Satan and Revelation 12:9 describes the second of these four Falls he fell from glorified to profane Ezekiel 28: 14-15 you are the anointed cherub who covers and I placed you there you were on the Holy Mountain of God you walked in the midst of the stones of fire you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness was found in you Satan went from having access to heaven to restriction to the Earth First Kings 22: 21 then a Spirit came forward and stood before the Lord and said I will entice him Satan also went from the Earth to bondage in the bottomless pit for a thousand years Revelation 20: 1-2 and I saw an angel coming down from heaven holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand and he took hold of the Dragon The Serpent of old who is the devil and Satan and bound him for a thousand years we read his angels were cast out with him this implies that demonic spirits are Fallen Angels who allied with Satan in his Rebellion against God these are his angels these angels are also the same as the third of the stars of Heaven described in Revelation 12:4 revelation 12:4 in his tail Swept Away a third of the stars of heaven and hurled them to the earth and the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth so that when she gave birth he might devour her child it's comforting to know that faithful Angels outnumber fallen angels two to one since Satan only drew a third of the stars of Heaven A Joyful declaration in heaven Revelation 12: 10-2 then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down the one who accuses them before our God day and night and they overcame him because of the blood of the lamb and because of the word of their testimony and they did not love their life even when faced with death for this reason Rejoice you heavens and you who dwell in them woe to the earth and the Sea because because the devil has come down to you with great wrath knowing that he has only a short time we read the accuser of our Brethren who accuse them before our God day and night has been cast down Satan's accusing work ends here when he is cast out from his access to Heaven that is why today we need an intercessor an advocate Hebrews chapter 7: 25 therefore he is also able to save forever those who come to God through him since he always lives to make intercession for them 1 John 2:1 my little children I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin and if anyone sins we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous this tells us three keys to the Saints victory over Satan Satan may have deceived even himself into thinking that he has a chance our Rebellion against God makes even less sense than Satan's Rebellion does the heavens can Rejoice over the dragon's departure and it is bad news for the earth and the Sea the devil knows his time is short and he is determined to pour out his wrath as widely as possible the dragon's spleen is vented especially against Israel the nation from which the Messiah Came John then offers a simple strategy for believers to overcome Satan's attacks a three-fold plan against the devil's assaults covering confess I and courage Christians who think spiritual warfare is an excellent subject to debate but don't think it impacts their lives daily may be vulnerable to spiritual defeat good soldiers of Jesus Christ know Satan roams the Earth seeking Those whom he may devour we must be ready 1 Peter 5:8 be of sober Spirit be on the alert your adversary the devil prows around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour the primary way Satan attacks the people of God is through blasphemy and he is the accuser of our Brethren even so Believers have a Divine Advocate before god named Jesus 1 John 2:1 my little children I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin and if anyone sins we have an advocate with the father Jesus Christ the righteous Satan the adversary May seek to destroy God's people but Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd John 10:1 I am the Good Shepherd the Good Shepherd lays down his life for the Sheep there are many lessons here the truth first Victory only comes with a fight every crown comes at a cost there is no success without sacrifice the good news is anything worth achieving is worth the fight Michael didn't fight alone and the Saints didn't defeat the enemy alone Victory rarely comes without teamwork God designed us to win in community a victory should always be celebrated the heavens rejoice when the lamb wins the greater the victory the greater the celebration Jesus confirms this in Luke 10:18 Jesus says I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven this statement was made in response to the return of the 70 or 72 disciples that Jesus had sent to evangelize and prepare his way to Jerusalem according to the gospel of Luke Jesus had given these disciples Specific Instructions now after this the Lord appointed 72 others and sent them in pairs ahead of him to every city and place where he himself was going to come Luke 10:1 picture this after completing their mission a group of 70 people return with a report as they share their findings their faces light up with joy and a hint of surprise can you imagine what exciting news they might have have brought back Luke 10: 17-18 now the 72 returned with Joy saying Lord even the demons are subject to us in your name and he said to them I watch Satan fall from Heaven like lightning this was a good day it was a productive day for the Disciples of Jesus despite the confusion and hardship they faced they were able to spread the message of hope and love to those who needed it the most and their efforts were met with success all 70 returned not one of the Lambs had been eaten by the Wolves we read even the demons are subject to us in your name in Luke 10:9 Jesus gave instructions to 70 disciples he had sent out to preach the gospel unlike the 12 disciples whom he had earlier commissioned in Luke 9: 1-2 to cast out demons Jesus had not given such explicit instructions to the 70 however as as they went about their Ministry they discovered that They too had the power to cast out demons this unexpected blessing of their Ministry was a reminder that when we step out in faith and boldly do what Jesus tells us to do we can anticipate that he will bless us in ways beyond our expectations it is a testimony to the power of obedience and the faithfulness of God to those who trust in him Luke 10:9 says and heal those in it who are sick and say to them the kingdom of God has come near to you this remarkable achievement prompted Jesus to speak of the fall of Satan which was a reference to the moment when Satan rebelled against God and was consequently kicked out from Heaven this event is considered a significant judgment upon Satan marking his downfall and ultimate defeat Jesus's reference to Satan's fall as quick and dramatic as lightning from Heaven emphasizes the suddenness and finality of the Judgment if San can be cast down how much more the demons under him this is a reference to the judgment on Satan when he rebelled against God and was kicked out of heaven in fact there are four Falls of Satan and this passage refers to his final fourth fall this is the only fall of Satan that has already happened we read son of the morning this title which embod Splendor Beauty and honor was a fitting one for Lucifer well before he fell from Grace we read how you are cut down to the ground wow what a difference the position of this being which was once so lofty once so brilliant and once so brilliant has been reduced to the ground we read for you have said in your heart God reveals to us the factors that led to the downfall we read I will the vanity and selfish ambition are forcefully represented in five statements that begin with the phrase I will this is the core of a life that is focused on oneself and is fascinated with oneself he says I will be like the most high it is a strange Paradox that the desire to be equal to God actually makes a being less like him this is because in contrast God himself demonstrated humility by stepping down from his throne of Glory to reveal himself to humanity even though Satan has a strong desire to elevate himself he will not achieve form of exaltation presently he may seem to be elevated in some sense but this is just a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things Satan along with all those who aspire to elevate themselves will ultimately be humbled 1 Peter 5:6 expresses the true path to being exalted therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God so that he may exalt you at the proper time Jesus Witnesses this fall this this text affirms the idea that Jesus existed before his human birth and that he was present in the Judgment of Satan it also provides insight into how the devil was sentenced to live on earth which sets the stage for the conflict between Angels the text in question affirms not only the pre-existence of Jesus it also provides valuable insight into how the devil was sentenced to Earth which sets the stage for the Angelic conflict that would later arise in essence this text sheds light and the interplay between the Divine and the evil one and how it shapes the course of human history Jesus spoke of Satan's fall from glorified to profane falling like lightning from heaven was as dramatic and sudden as a bolt of lightning from Heaven did you know that every time the kingdom of Jesus is presented in truth and power it is like another judgment upon Satan and all who share his rebellious Spirit where the gospel is preached with divine power Satan comes down from his throne in human hearts and human Minds as rapidly as the lightning flesh falls from heaven and when we see his kingdom shaken then like Jesus we rejoice in spirit it's amazing to think that the preaching of the Gospel can have a powerful impact on the spiritual realm in remembering the fall of Satan Jesus also warned them against Pride you see if even someone as powerful and privileged as Satan Could Fall From Grace then surely anyone could it's a reminder that in any important Endeavor we must be careful not to get too caught up as the saying goes pride comes before the fall we read behold I give you the authority because Satan had fallen and the disciples were messengers of Jesus and his kingdom they enjoyed the superior power of God over Satan did you know that by choosing to live in the Risen Christ you become a partaker of his Empire and not just that but you also get to enjoy all the sweet fruits of his victory over Satan it's like being on the winning team and having access to all the rewards that come with it so what are you waiting for join the winning team today according to job 1:12 First Kings 22: 21 and Zechariah 3:1 Satan still has access to Heaven yet the Triumph of the disciples over the demonic spirits was a significant event that confirmed s downfall from his position of authority and power although he still possessed a considerable amount of power his position was now inferior compared to what it used to be First Kings 22: 21 then a Spirit came forward and stood before the Lord and said I will entice him Temptation and deception Temptation and deception are powerful tools used by the forces of Darkness to lead people away from God and into sin the Bible provides us with insights into the nature of Temptation and deception as well as strategies for overcoming them temptation is the enticement to sin often disguised as something appealing or desirable it is a tactic used by Satan to lead people astray from God's will James 1: 14-15 explains the process of temptation but each person is tempted when they are dragged Away by their own evil desire and enticed then after desire has conceived it gives birth to sin and sin when it is full grown gives birth to death this passage highlights the progression of Temptation starting with an internal desire that is then exploited by external enticements deception is another tactic used by the enemy to lead people astray 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns and no wonder for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of Light this verse emphasizes the deceptive nature of Satan who izes himself as something good and appealing in order to deceive people one of the most famous accounts of Temptation in the Bible is the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness Matthew 4: 1-1 Satan tempts Jesus three times each time trying to get him to sin Jesus resists each Temptation by quoting scripture demonstrating the power of God's word in overcoming Temptation the story of Eve in the Garden of Eden is another example of Temptation and dis deception Genesis 3:6 describes how Eve was tempted by the serpent to eat the forbidden fruit leading to the fall of humanity the story illustrates the devastating consequences of giving in to Temptation and the importance of being vigilant against deception despite the power of Temptation and deception the Bible offers strategies for overcoming them James 4:7 provides a clear directive submit yourselves then to God resist the devil and he will flee from from you this verse emphasizes the importance of submitting to God's Authority and resisting The Temptations of the evil one First Corinthians 10:13 offers encouragement no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to Mankind and God is faithful he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear but when you are tempted he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it this verse reminds us that God is faithful and will always provide a way out of Temptation for those who seek Him the role of Michael Michael is a prominent figure in the Bible often depicted as a powerful Archangel who serves as a Defender and protector of God's people his name means who is like God and reflects his role as a warrior in the spiritual realm the Lord rebuke you this passage illustrates Michael's Authority and power as well as his respect for God's judgment Michael is also associated with spiritual warfare and the defeat seed of evil forces Revelation 12: 7-8 describes a great war in heaven with Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon Satan and his angels and there was war in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon and his angels fought back but he was not strong enough and they lost their place in heaven this passage highlights Michael's role in the defeat of Satan and his forces defender of the faithful Michael often recck recognized as the Archangel and defender of the faithful plays a significant role in biblical narratives his name which means who is like God reflects his devotion and allegiance to the almighty throughout the Bible Michael is depicted as a powerful and righteous figure engaged in spiritual warfare and protecting God's people the significance of Michael extends Beyond his role in battles and protection he is also seen as a symbol of righteousness and obedience to God in the face of spiritual challenges and temptations Michael exemplifies unwavering faith and loyalty to the Divine will throughout scripture Michael is portrayed as a powerful and righteous leader leading the Heavenly armies in battle against the forces of evil one of the key passages that highlight Michael's role as the leader of the Heavenly armies is found in the Book of Revelation Revelation 12: 7-9 Michael's leadership is also evident in his interactions with Earthly rulers and kingdoms the outcome of the war one of the most profound statements regarding the outcome of this spiritual war is found in Revelation 20:10 which describes the final defeat of Satan and the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur where the Beast and the false prophet had been thrown they'll be tormented day and night forever and ever this verse illustrates the ultimate defeat of evil and the complete Triumph of God's righteous Ness another passage that speaks to the victory of Christ is found in Colossians 2:1 15 and having disarm the powers and authorities he made a public spectacle of them triumphing over them by the cross this verse highlights how Jesus through his death and Resurrection disarmed the powers of darkness and triumphed over them securing victory for all who believe in him the victory of Christ also ensures victory for believers 1 Corinthians 15 vers 57 declares but thanks be to God he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ this verse emphasizes that our victory over sin and death is not achieved through our own efforts but through the work of Christ on the cross as Believers we are called to live in the reality of this Victory Romans 8:37 reminds us no in all these things we are more than conquerers through him who loved us this verse encourages us to live in the confidence of Christ's victory knowing that nothing can separate us from the love of God victory of good over evil in Genesis we encounter the first hint of the victory of good over evil in the promise of a redeemer who would crush the Serpent's head Genesis 3:15 foreshadows the ultimate defeat of evil Through The Offspring of the woman and I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your Offspring in hers he will crush your head and you will strike his heel This Promise sets the stage for the unfolding drama of redemption that will culminate in the victory of Christ the prophets of the Old Testament also spoke of a future victory of good over evil where righteousness would Reign and peace would Prevail Isaiah 9: 6-7 prophesizes about the coming Messiah whose government will bring about eternal peace and justice for to us a child is born to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called wonderful counselor Mighty God Everlasting father Prince of Peace of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end he will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom establishing and upholding it with Justice and righteousness from that time on and forever in the New Testament the victory of good over evil is fully realized in the person of Jesus Christ through his life death and Resurrection Jesus defeated sin death and the powers of darkness in John 16:33 Jesus reass assures his disciples of this Victory I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace in this world you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world the continuing conflict on Earth the Bible teaches that the conflict between good and evil which began with the rebellion of Satan and his angels in heaven continues on Earth this ongoing spiritual warfare is a reality that Believers must face but the Bible provides guidance and encouragement for navigating in this battle Ephesians 6:12 describes the nature of this conflict for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil and the Heavenly Realms this verse emphasizes that the true battle is spiritual involving unseen forces of evil that seek to oppose God's purpose and harm his people one of the key tactics of the enemy in the spiritual warfare is deception 2 Corinthians 11:14 warns and no wonder for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of Light this verse highlights the deceptive nature of the enemy who seeks to deceive people and lead them away from the truth of God's word in response to this ongoing conflict Believers are called to be vigilant and to put on the full armor of God Ephesians chapter 6 verses 13-1 17 provides a description of this armor which includes the belt of Truth the breastplate of righteousness the shoes of the gospel of peace The Shield of Faith the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God by putting on this armor Believers can stand firm against the schemes of the enemy and continue to proclaim the truth of the Gospel another important aspect of the believer's role in the continuing conflict on Earth is prayer Ephesians chapter 6:18 encourages Believers to pray in the spirit on All Occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests with this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people prayer is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare allowing Believers to seek God's protection guidance and strength in the midst of the battle despite the challenges of spiritual warfare Believers can take comfort in the promise of Victory through Christ 1 John 4:4 declares you dear children are from God and of overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world this verse reminds Believers that they are not alone in the battle but that God is with them empowering them to overcome the forces of evil influence of evil in the world the Bible teaches that evil has a pervasive influence in the world affecting individuals societies and Nations this influence is often manifested through sin Temptation and the actions of those who reject God's will however the Bible also offers hope and Assurance to Believers emphasizing that God's power is greater than the influence of evil one of the key passages that addresses the influence of evil in the world is found in 1 John 5: 19 which says we know that we are children of God and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one this verse highlights the reality that evil has a grip on the world leading people away from God in promoting sin and Disobedience despite the influence of evil in the world Bible assures Believers that God is greater than evil and that he has overcome the world John 16:33 says I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace in this world you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world this verse offers comfort and hope to Believers reminding them that they can have peace in the midst of a troubled world because of Christ's victory over evil in 1 Peter 5:8 Believers are warned to be vigilant against the schemes of the devil who seeks to deceive and Destroy be alert and of sober mind your enemy the devil prows around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour this verse emphasizes the importance of spiritual discernment and resistance to the influence of evil despite the pervasive influence of evil in the world the Bible offers hope and Assurance to Believers Romans chapter 8: 37-39 declares no in all these things we are more than conqueror ERS through him who loved us for I am convinced that neither death nor life neither angels nor demons neither the present nor the future nor any powers neither height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our lord this passage emphasizes that nothing can separate Believers from the love of God and that through Christ they have the power to overcome the influence of evil in the world hope for Redemption in the midst of a broken and Fallen World the Bible offers a message of Hope for Redemption and restoration this hope is rooted in the promise of God's love and grace which offers a path to forgiveness healing and Reconciliation one of the key passages that speaks to this hope is found in Isaiah 43: 18-19 where God promises to make a way for his people even in the midst of their sins and failures forget the former things do not dwell on the past see I am doing a new thing now it Springs up do you not perceive it I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the Wasteland this verse emphasizes God's ability to bring about newness and restoration even in the most desolate of circumstances another passage that speaks to the hope for Redemption is found in Romans 88:18 which says I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us this verse highlights the idea that the trials and tri tribulations of this present life are temporary and pale in comparison to the glory and Redemption that await Believers in the future the ultimate expression of Hope for Redemption is found in the person and work of Jesus Christ through his death and Resurrection Jesus provided a way for Humanity to be reconciled to God and experience true Redemption Romans 5:8 declares but God demonstrates his own love for us in this while we were still sinners Christ died for us this verse underscores the depth of God's love and his willingness to sacrifice his son for the Redemption of humanity in addition to the hope for personal Redemption the Bible also speaks to the hope for the Redemption of all creation Romans 8: 19- 21 says for the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed for the creation was subjected to frustration not by its own choice but by the will of the one who subjected it in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to Decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God this passage emphasizes that God's Redemptive plan extends Beyond individual salvation to the restoration of all creation the hope for Redemption is not merely a future promise but a present reality that Believers can experience in their lives 2 Corinthians 5:17 says therefore if anyone is in Christ the new creation has come the old has gone the new is here this verse verse highlights the transformative power of redemption which brings about a new life and a new identity in Christ the final battle the battle is described in Vivid detail in the Book of Revelation where the forces of Good and Evil Clash in a final showdown that leads to the establishment of God's kingdom and the Judgment of all creation Revelation 19: 11-16 provides a dramatic portrayal of the final battle depicting the triumphant return of Jesus Christ as the conquering King I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse whose Rider is called faithful and true with Justice he judges and wages War his eyes are like blazing fire and on his head are many crowns he has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself he is dressed in a robe dipped in Blood and his name is the word of God the armies of Heaven were following him riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen white and clean coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the Nations he will rule them with an iron scepter he Treads The Wine Press of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written king of kings and Lord of lords this passage portrays Jesus as the Victorious Warrior who will judge the Nations and establish his kingdom on Earth the final battle serves as a reminder of the sovereignty of God and his ultimate authority over all creation so Psalm 2: 1-4 declares why do the Nations conspire and the people plot in vain the king of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed saying let us break their chains and throw off their shackles the one enthroned in heaven laughs the Lord scoffs at them this passage emphasizes that no power or authority can stand against the sovereignty of God and that he will ultimately triumph over all his enemies lessons and Reflections the Bible is a rich source of wisdom and guidance offering valuable lessons and Reflections for believers these lessons are Timeless and relevant providing insight into how we can live according to God's Will and purpose trust in the Lord Proverbs 3: 5-6 advises trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding in all your ways submit to him and he will make your path straight this verse reminds reminds us of the importance of trusting in God's plan and seeking his guidance in all aspects of Our Lives seek wisdom Proverbs 2:6 tells us for the Lord gives wisdom from his mouth come knowledge and understanding this verse highlights the importance of seeking wisdom from God rather than relying on our own understanding practice forgiveness Ephesians chapter 4:32 encourages us to be kind and compassionate to one another forgiving each other just just as in Christ forgave you this verse reminds us of the importance of forgiveness in our relationships reflecting the Forgiveness we have received from God be grateful 1 Thessalonians 5:18 instructs us to give thanks in all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus this verse reminds us to cultivate an attitude of gratitude even in the midst of challenges serve others Galatians 5:13 reminds us serve one another humbly in love this verse emphasizes the importance of serving others with humility and love following the example of Christ trust in God's timing Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us there's a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens this verse reminds us to trust in God's timing knowing that he has a purpose and plan for every season of Our Lives Walk In Love Ephesians chapter 5 verse two encourages us to walk in the way of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God this verse reminds us to live a life characterized by love following the example of Christ seek God's kingdom First Matthew 6:33 instructs us but seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well this verse reminds us to prioritize our relationship with God God above all else trusting that he will provide for our needs understanding spiritual warfare spiritual warfare is a concept found throughout the Bible describing the ongoing battle between the forces of Good and Evil this battle is not physical but spiritual involving the conflict between God and His angels against Satan and his demonic forces understanding spiritual warfare is essential for believers as it helps us recognize the nature of the battle and equip ourselves with the Spiritual armor necessary for victory Ephesians 6:12 provides a foundational understanding of spiritual warfare for our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers against the authorities against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the Heavenly Realms this verse highlights that the true enemy is not human but spiritual and that the battle is fought on a spiritual level one of the key aspects of spiritual war Warfare is the importance of putting on the full armor of God Ephesians 6: 13-17 describes this armor which includes the belt of Truth the breastplate of righteousness the shoes of the gospel of peace The Shield of Faith the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit which is the word of God this armor is essential for believers to withstand the attacks of the enemy and stand firm in their faith another important aspect of spiritual warfare is the power of prayer Ephesians 6:18 encourages Believers to pray in the spirit on All Occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests with this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people prayer is a powerful weapon in spiritual warfare enabling Believers to seek God's protection guidance and strength in the midst of battle it is also important to recognize that victory in spiritual warfare is ultimately achieved through the power of Jesus Christ first John 4:4 declares you dear children are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world this verse reminds us that as Believers we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us empowering us to overcome the forces of evil strengthening faith and resisting evil in the face of spiritual warfare and the challenges of life strengthening faith and resisting evil are essential aspects of the Christian walk the Bible offers guidance and encouragement on how to strengthen our faith and resist the influence of evil in our lives developing a strong prayer life James 5:16 encourages us to confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective regular prayer strengthens our relationship with God and helps us resist temptation and evil influences 2 Corinthians 10: Verses 3- 4 further elaborates on the nature of spiritual warfare for though we live in the world we do not wage war as the world does the weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world on the contrary they have divine power to demolish strongholds this passage highlights the importance of relying on God's power and spiritual weapons to defeat the enemy one of the key aspects of spiritual warfare is the importance of prayer Ephesians 6:18 urges Believers to pray pray in the spirit on All Occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests with this in mind be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people prayer is a powerful weapon in the spiritual battle enabling Believers to call upon God's strength and guidance in times of need James 4:7 provides a clear directive for engaging in spiritual warfare submit yourselves then to God resist the devil and he will flee from you this verse emphasizes the importance of submitting to God's Authority and resisting The Temptations of the evil one the Bible assures us of the victory of good over Evil 1 John 4:4 declares you dear children are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world this verse reminds us that through our faith in God we can overcome the forces of evil and experience victory in spiritual warfare the participants in the war the Bible portrays the conflict between good and evil as a battle between the forces of light and darkness with angels playing a crucial role in the spiritual warfare the participants in this war are divided into two camps angels of light who serve God and fight for righteousness and Angels of Darkness who follow Satan and promote evil angels of light are depicted as powerful beings who serve as messengers of God and warriors in his army Psalm 91: 11-12 says for he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone this verse highlights the protective role of Angels in guarding and guiding God's people where did Satan's first evil desire come from God first formed Satan as an angel and created all Angels via the ministry of his son the Lord Jesus there is no creature that he did notate create John 1:3 all things were made and came into existence through him and without him not even one thing was made that is come into being however God cannot be directly involved in the creation of evil for he is Holy therefore it is evident both from reason and from the Bible that all Angels were created in a holy State and that each Angel is a direct creation of God when Satan rebelled against God he not only incurred God's Wrath for himself but also persuaded some of the angels to turn against God with him some estimates place the number of angels that followed Satan's lead at onethird at this point Satan and his angels are genuinely evil and hostile against God his plan and the humans he created Ezekiel 28: 12-9 and Isaiah 14: 12 to1 17 are two significant chapters that are typically related with Satan's original state and fall Isaiah 14: 12-1 17 how you have fallen from Heaven oh star of the morning lightbringer son of the Dawn you have been cut down to the ground you who have weakened the Nations king of Babylon but you said in your heart I will Ascend to Heaven I will raise my throne above the stars of God I will sit on the Mount of assembly in the remote parts of the north I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will make myself like the most high but in fact you will be brought down to Shield to the remote recesses of the pit the region of the Dead those who see you will gaze at you they will consider you saying is this the man who made the Earth tremble who shook kingdoms who made the world like a Wilderness and overthrew its cities who did not permit his prisoners to return home his Privileges and perversion before his fall Satan appears to have enjoyed the highest levels of power and Prestige that have ever been bestowed upon a creature number one nature Satan belongs to the Cherub class of angelic being and these are probably of the greatest class and highest order Ezekiel 28:14 you were the anointed cherub who covers and protects and I placed you there you were on the holy Mountain of God you walked in the midst of the stones of fire sparkling Jewels Ezekiel chapter 28:2 son of man take up a durge funeral poem To Be Sung for the king of Ty and say to him thus says the Lord God full of wisdom and perfect in Beauty the Expressions you had the Seal of perfection and full of wisdom and perfect IM Beauty both point to the fact that he was Superior to all other living things in intelligence and physical attractiveness the figurative language of this verse speaks of his Exquisite Perfection number two position he was not only anointed leader but he was also called a guardian covering cherub twice this could reference his role as a guardian an honor guard and proclaimer of God's majesty and Holiness number three habitation he appears to have been in God's presence because he walked amid the stones of fire Ezekiel CH 28: 13-6 you were in Eden the Garden of God every precious stone was your covering the Ruby the topaz and the Diamond the barrel the onx and the Jasper the lapis lazle the turquoise and the emerald and the gold the workmanship of your settings and your sockets was in you they were prepared on the day that you were created you were the anointed cherub who covers and protects and I placed you there you were on the Holy Mountain of God you walked in the midst of the stones of fire sparkling Jewels you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness and evil were found in you through the abundance of your Commerce you were internally filled with lawlessness and violence and you sin therefore I have cast you out as a profane and Unholy thing from the Mountain of God and I have destroyed you oh covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire number four Perfection this phrase encapsulates his personal and moral qualities he had the Seal of perfection and was perfect in Beauty he was perfect or blameless in his ways from the day he was created until his first sin the angel was full of wisdom and beautiful like everything else God created this Angel was Flawless from the beginning not only that but he appeared particularly appealing cherubim and seraphim both appear to be Supreme Heavenly beings all these signs point to this person having the highest rank of any created being in the universe the angel was on God's holy mountain the statement here refers to God's visible Glory as where he dwells this Angel was very close to the Lord the angel also walked amid firest Stones Inception of perversion without explaining how it occurred God says iniquity was found in thee the best clue as to what happened in Satan's mind is found in verse 17 Ezekiel 28:17 your your heart was proud and arrogant because of your beauty you destroyed your wisdom for the sake of your Splendor I cast you to the ground I lay you before kings that they might look at you you corrupted your wisdom because of your Splendor his prideful nature and preoccupation with himself are his sin meditating upon his God endowed Beauty he became mesmerized with himself and was lifted up with pride in Luke 10:18 Jesus says I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven the context of these words is the return of the 70 disciples that Jesus had set out to evangelize and prepare his way to Jerusalem as the 70 returned from their assignment they were delighted to learn that even the demons had been subjugated to them Luke 10: 17 and 18 the 70 returned with Joy saying Lord even the demons are subject to us in your name he said to them I watched Satan fall from Heaven like a flash of lightning Jesus statements are a caution against pride and it is as if he were saying yes you were quite heady because even the demons have been subject to you but remember that pride is the sin that gives rise to all others his excessive amount of hubris brought Lucifer's Fall From Grace and his expulsion from Heaven take care to steer clear of this potential Hazard Lucifer had exalted himself due to his pride so God had removed him from his original position in heaven 1 Timothy 3:6 and he must not be a new convert so that he will not behave stupidly and become conceited by appointment to this High office and fall into the same condemnation incurred by the devil for his arrogance and pride sin exploits the blessings of God for its benefit he also LED other Angels astray From the Path God had ordained for them Ezekiel 28: 18 and 19 you profane your sanctuaries by the great quantity of your sins and the enormity of your guilt by the unrighteousness of your trade therefore I have brought forth a fire from your midst it has consumed you and I have reduced you to ashes on the earth in the sight of all who look at you all the peoples Nations who knew you are appalled at you you have come to a horrible and terrifying end and will forever ceased to be the words merchandise and traffic may refer to soliciting do his evil cause an enormous group of fellow Angels his habitation was defiled by his sin also indictment and Punishment because of Satan's sin of arrogance and violence God cast him from his privileged position near the Throne of God out of the Mountain of God he may have been cast to the Earth after his original sin as we read in the Bible I cast you to the ground so God indicted him a flagrant and unwarranted rebellion and expelled him from his company His Highest penalty is a lake of fire Christ said Matthew 25:41 then he will say to those on his left leave me you cursed ones into the Eternal fire which has been prepared prepared for the devil and his angels demons his fall was against God but he continues to exercise tyranny over people his Doom is sure but not until the final judgment will he be confined to the Lake of Fire the basic sin of Satan seems to be Pride as we previously noted from Ezekiel 28:1 17 Paul specifically labels Pride or conceit as the reason for the condemnation incurred by the devil Ezekiel 28:17 your heart was proud and arrogant because of your beauty you destroyed your wisdom for the sake of your Splendor I cast you to the ground I lay you before kings that they might look at you Isaiah illustrates his pride expressed in determined Rebellion note the five will occurrences in verses 13 and 14 expression of sin the five statements of I will specifically Express Satan's self- assertion and Rebellion these remarks are most likely flashbacks to his initial goals in his original circumstance right before he was expelled from the presence of God this seems to fit the indictment probably by God in verse 13 but you said in your heart the five assertions speak of Satan's aspiration to ascend above the sphere in which he was created and positioned when he was first ushered into existence he declared his own will against the benevolent will of the most high number one I will Ascend to Heaven since Satan had access to the very presence of God as the leading cherub this statement does not mean he would visit but abide there this indicates that he sought to reside in the dwelling place of God and most likely desired to be recognized on an equal level with God number two I will raise my throne above the stars of God the stars as we have seen are references to Angels number three I will sit on the Mount of assembly according to Isaiah 2:2 in Psalm 48:2 the Mount of the assembly is a center of God's kingdom Administration and it seems associated with messiah's Earthly rule from Jerusalem Satan would also then seek to rule over Affairs Isaiah 2:2 now it will come to pass that in the last days the mountain of the house of the Lord will be firmly established as the highest of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills and all the nations will stream to it number four I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds Lucifer possessed a magnificent Glory within him that was a reflection of his creator now though he craved a glory greater than or on par with Gods number five I will make myself like the most high this is the culmination of all previous acts of self assertion and Rebellion against God why out of all the titles that God has would Lucifer choose this one for himself two things are important to note first Satan did not want to be unlike God he admired God's power and authority and desired it for himself he would rather usurp God's Authority than submit to it because because no one can be like God and still allow God to be God because there is none like him God will not share his glory or position with anyone else second Satan would be similar to God primarily in terms of authority and control he intended to replace God but he ended up being a forger not a replacement with Rebellion came a change in personality all the Holiness he had derived from his creator was lost and Corruption took its place even in reflection he could no longer be like God Isaiah 42:8 I am the Lord that is my name my glory I will not give to another nor my praise to carved Idols Isaiah 43:10 you are my Witnesses declares the Lord and my servant whom I have chosen that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he before me there was no God formed and there will be none after me Isaiah 45: 5 and 6 I am the lord and there is no one else there is no God except me I will Embrace and arm you though you have not known me the people may know from the rising to the setting of the Sun the world over that there is no one except me I am the lord and there is no other Isaiah 45: [Music] 21-33 declare and present your defense of Idols indeed let them consult together who announced this rise of cus and his Conquest long before it happened who declared it long ago was it not I the lord and there is no other God besides me a consistently and uncompromisingly just and righteous God and a savior there is none except me for several reasons Satan's sin is particularly heinous number one there was no previous example it marked the beginning of a revolt against the most holy God number two when he was created he was lovely and perfect lacking in nothing number three the highest level of wisdom he possessed shed more light and insight on the glory and goodness of God whom he had sned against number four because he held a high position God God gave him the pleasure of Performing the important service number five because he was perfect and holy he was granted the pleasure of having an intimate fellowship with God Lucifer the star of the morning son of the Dawn who Shone with God's holy light has become Satan the opposer of all God is Satan retains some of his dignity despite being cast from his exalted position the passage implies that his influence and power were still felt even Michael the AR Angel did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment God's judgment had to come in his moral rectitude against so greater sin he will be thrust down to Shel to the recesses of the pit and so will all who follow him Isaiah 14:1 15 but in fact you will be brought down to shol to the remote recesses of the pit the region of the Dead Isaiah 24: 21 and 22 so what will happen in that day that the Lord will visit and punish the host fallen angels of heaven on high and the kings of the Earth on the earth they will be gathered together as prisoners are gathered in a dungeon they will be shut up in prison and after many days they will be visited and punished the time of Satan's fall there is no clear Revelation as to when Satan fell but there are time limits that we can deduce from Biblical evidence if we assume that Angels were part of the creation of Genesis 1:1 then their fall follows that point Genesis 1:31 God saw everything that he had made and behold it was very good and he validated it completely and there was evening and there was morning a sixth day however it is possible that Angels existed before the heavens and the Earth were created angels were present when God laid the foundation of the earth and set its measurements because the morning stars sing together and all the Sun of God shouted for Joy at that time job 38:7 when the morning Stars sang together and all the sons of God angels shed her for Joy all of the angels rejoiced with God in this then sometime after the original creation of the heavens and the Earth all of which was very good Satan and his angels fell Satan certainly fell before Genesis 3 where the temptation of Adam and Eve was recorded he fell before man but whether he fell before or after man's creation is unknown Satan fall with angels the Bible makes it clear that Satan has angels and they obey his commands and fight for his causes Matthew 12: 24- 26 but the Pharisees heard it and said this man casts out demons only by the help of beelo Satan the prince of the Demons knowing their thoughts Jesus said to them any Kingdom that is divided against itself is being laid waste and no City or house divided against itself will continue to stand if Satan castled Satan that is his demons he has become divided against himself and disunited how then will his kingdom stand Matthew 25:41 then he will say to those on his left leave me you cursed ones in the Eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels demons Revelation 12:7 and war broke out in heaven Michael the Archangel and his angels Waging War With The Dragon the dragon and his angels fought in his initial revolt against God Satan solicited their support the phrase the unrighteousness of your trade could refer to Satan selling his rebellious cause to other Angels this fits in with his plan to rule over angels in Isaiah 14:13 after Satan had seduced these angels there was no turning back for them they were doomed to a life of moral Decay it's possible that as much as a third of all the angels in existence went along with Satan in his Rebellion Revelation 12:4 and his tail swept across the sky and dragged away a third of the stars of heaven and flung them to the earth and the dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth so that when she gave birth he might devour her her child men naturally wonder why a good and powerful God would allow Satan and his angels to fall he had brought sin into the universe affecting angels and All Mankind we must remember that the same Bible that records the Inception and continued existence of evil also presents God as one who is Holy righteous and perfect in all his ways one in whose ey sin is exceedingly Wicked and worthy of judgment he could not and did not promote or perpetuate the sin James 1:3 let no one say when he is tempted I am being tempted by God for Temptation does not originate from God but from our own flaws for God cannot be tempted by what is evil and he himself tempts no one simultaneously the Bible portrays God as both omnipotent and Sovereign he has complete control over everything and he has no competitors Isaiah 41:4 who has performed and done this calling forth and guiding the Destinies of the generations of the nations from the beginning I the Lord the first and with the last existing before his history began the everpresent unchanging God I am he Isaiah chapter 43:13 even from eternity I am he and there is no one who can rescue from my hand I act and who can revoke or reverse it finally God will forever punish the evildoers in the Lake of Fire and banish the presence of Sin from the universe forever when he makes all things new revelation 20: 10 to 15 and the devil who had deceived them was hurled into the Lake of Fire and burning Brimstone sulfur where the Beast Antichrist and false prophet are also and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever the Lake of Fire the Eternal separation from God and if anyone's name was not found written in the Book of Life he was hurled into the Lake of Fire Satan was no ordinary Angel he was a guardian cherub who had been anointed Lucifer was right in the middle of God's fire in eternity past as the highest ranking Angel he stood in God's presence he led the entire Angelic host in praise and service to Yahweh so how could evil be found in such a high ranking Angel because God gave this perfect being the ability to choose that is to serve him voluntarily rather than mandatorily God would not compel Lucifer to worship him because he prefers willing worship and Lucifer chose to rebel against God and usurp his Authority as a result of his Rebellion he was expelled it his grace from heaven and thrown down to the Earth because of this one day he will be judged and thrown into the Lake of Fire and sulfur tormented day and night forever hell was created for Satan and the angels who joined him in Rebellion people go to hell because they also choose to join Satan in his Rebellion against God by refusing to accept God's means of Salvation in Christ until his fall the angel was perfect in every way this creature's Perfection is emphasized once more because of his Beauty the angel was lifted up with pride we must understand that Satan is a created being not an evil Godlike equivalent and he lacks omnipotent and omniscience and he lacks all of the qualities that can only be found in God we must trust that God is in control in Ezekiel God declares himself to be the Lord in fact throughout the Book of Ezekiel God says that he is doing something so that they will know that I am the Lord sharing Satan's backstory fits with the theme of Ezekiel when we know where Satan came from and where he is going we know God is the Lord God has complete control over Satan from start to finish so we now know what Satan is all about because of his Beauty he was motivated by Pride before being thrown from God's mouth he is still driven by Pride to take what is rightfully God's knowing about Satan's Pride enables us to avoid it in in our own lives through the power of the Holy Spirit Satan's destruction will come as a result of his own hubris his pride and Rebellion against God Satan seven facts about Satan that many people do not know certain facts about Satan's basic makeup are unmistakable the Bible describes Satan as an angelic adver AR of God and by extension the adversary and opponent of those who follow God number one creature God created Satan not in his current corrupt form but wonderfully constituted and holy Ezekiel 28:1 15 Amplified Bible you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness and evil were found in you he is a created being being and is not equal to God Colossians 1: 16 includes Satan as one created by Christ since he is one of the invisible powers that owe their existence to the Sun as a creature he is infinitely less than God according to scripture all things were created by God and for God it stands to reason then that this broad category all things includes even the devil after all if God was not responsible for Satan's creation then who was is there another powerful being if this is the case that being would be in charge of at least one aspect of existence if this is true then there would be a realm over which the Bible's God would not have complete control God as the source of all goodness Beauty and Truth creates only what is in accordance with his nature that is God creates only good beautiful and true things every aspect of creation whether in heaven or on Earth was very good at first the Apostle Paul says it clearly everything God created is good the Creator's character is entirely pure there is not a trace of Darkness within him something obviously went wrong initially Satan was created as an angel to serve and glorify God however the Bible clearly states that there was once an Angelic revolt against Heaven's King the New Testament mentions two instances in which Angels turned against God and became Wicked 2 Peter chapter 2 verse4 Amplified Bible for if God did not even spare angels that sinned but threw them into hell and sent them to pits of Gloom to be kept there for judgment Jude chapter 6 Amplified Bible and Angels who did not keep their own designated place of power but abandoned their proper dwelling place these he has kept in Eternal chains under the thick Gloom of utter Darkness for the Judgment of the great day number two he actively Works to nullify the effect of the word of God in people's hearts the devil blinds the intelligent of those who do not believe making it impossible for them to to understand the Gospel Matthew 13: 3-4 he told them many things in Parables saying listen carefully a swer went out to sew seed in his field and as he sowed some seed fell beside the road between the fields and the birds came and ate it Matthew chap 13:9 when anyone hears the word of the Kingdom regarding salvation and does not understand and grasp it the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart this is the one on whom seed was sown beside the road 2 Corinthians 4:4 among them the God of this world Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the Illuminating Light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ who is the image of God number three the devil can only do what God allows job 1: 11-2 Amplified Bible but put forth your hand now and touch destroy all that he has and he will surely curse you to your face then the Lord said to Satan behold all that job has in your power only do not put your hand on the man himself so Satan departed from the presence of the Lord in John 12:31 Satan is called the ruler of this world yet other texts say things like this the most high rules the kingdom of men and gives it to whom he will Daniel 4 verse 17 there is a crucial difference between God controlling evil and God creating evil God is not the author of sin but he can use sinful men to attain an objective Romans 8: 28 says for those who love God all things work together for good for those who are called according to his purpose all things including both good and bad things the Bible makes it quite plain that God does not sin and that he performs no evil James 1:3 teaches God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one Deuteronomy 32:4 says the rock his work is perfect for all his ways sometimes miraculous things happen because of his intervention at other times however he is to be seen working behind the scenes and indeed it's possible that God will give the evil forces in this world some degree of freedom in order to accomplish what he has planned for them when we consider life from God's point of view our natural response will be to adore the Lord because we will realize that he is in charge of everything number four Satan is a tempter we see this in Matthew 4: 1-12 Amplified Bible then Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit Into the Wilderness to be tempted by the devil after he had gone without food for 40 days and 40 nights he became hungry and the temp came and said to him if you are the Son of God command that these Stones become bread but Jesus replied it is written and forever remains written man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God then the devil took him into the Holy City Jerusalem and placed him on the Pinnacle the highest point of the temple and he said mockingly to him if you are the Son of God throw yourself down for it is written he will command his angels concerning you to serve care for protect and watch over you and they will lift you up on their hands so that you will not strike your foot against a stone Jesus said to him on the other hand it is written and forever remains written you shall not Test the Lord your God again the devil took him up on a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory splendor magnific and Excellence of them and he said to him all these things I will give you if you fall down and worship me then Jesus said to him go away Satan for it is written and forever remains written you shall Worship the Lord your God and serve him only then the devil left him and Angels Came and ministered to him bringing him food and serving him Christ is the one who talks Of Satan as a person in 25 of these references to Satan in the gospels there are a total of 29 references to Satan in the gospels the Lord himself is the only person who could have been the source of The Narrative of the Temptation in the wilderness as he was the one who described his face-to-face confrontation with Satan the essence of the tests and the specifics of the conversations appear to have been relayed directly by the Lord to the disciples for their information and later writings when Christ speaks on a subject the Reverend receives it as truth number five cherubim class Satan is called by God the anointed cherub and O covering cherub Ezekiel chapter 28: 14-6 Amplified Bible you were the anointed cherub who covers and protects and I placed you there you were on the Holy Mountain of God you walked in the midst of the Stone bones of fire sparkling Jewels you were blameless in your ways from the day you were created until unrighteousness and evil were found in you through the abundance of your Commerce you were internally filled with lawlessness and violence and you sinned therefore I have cast you out as a profane and Unholy thing from the Mountain of God and I have destroyed you oh covering cherub from the midst of the stones of fire this seems to be the highest classification of angelic beings the word cherubim refers to God's presence Splendor Holiness and sovereignty they were developed specifically for the ministry in question because of this the act of Satan betraying God is an even more awful and Despicable crime Angelic beings known as cherubim and cherubs are actively involved in the Adoration and praise of God Genesis 3:24 4 is the first place in the Bible where the cherubim are referenced Genesis 3:4 Amplified Bible so God drove the man out and at the east of the Garden of Eden he permanently stationed the cherubim and the sword with the flashing blade which turned round and round in every direction to protect and guard the way entrance access to the tree of life before he began his Rebellion Satan was a cherup in God's service number six he is the leader of the Fallen Angels even after falling into sin Satan has not entirely lost the dignity he once possessed he is considered to be the most powerful member of the Fallen Angels ranks and his position as leader is uncontested Matthew 25: 41 then he will say to those on his left leave me you cursed ones in to the Eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels demons Revelation 12:4 and his tail swept across the sky and draged Away a third of the stars of heaven and flung them to the earth and the dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth so that when she gave birth he might devour her child Revelation 12 verse 7 and war broke out in heaven Michael the Archangel and his angels Waging War With The Dragon the dragon and his angels fought when disputing with him over the body of Moses the Archangel Michael showed respect for both his authority and his dignity Jude chapters 8-9 Amplified Bible nevertheless in the same way these dreamers who are dreaming that God will not punish them also defile the body and reject legitimate Authority and revile and mock Angelic majesties but even the Archangel Michael when he was disputing with the devil Satan and arguing about the body of Moses did not dare bring an abusive condemnation against him but simply said the Lord rebuke you it is most probable that Satan is comparable to an archangel among the ranks of the evil angels or demons there is a wealth of evidence found within the scriptures that point to Satan's actual existence and demonstrate that he is a person and not only a metaphor for evil or a figure of speech he is an Angelic entity with a large and Powerful sphere of influence and he is a significant player on the moral stage of the universe that God created he is an adversary of both God and man as well as Believers and as such we should be aware of him and fight against him using the faith and the power that comes from the Lord Jesus Christ the Old Testament operates under the assumption that Satan exists much like it operates under the assumption that God exists there is no concrete evidence offered for each of them but the way in which the story develops is entirely dependent whether or not they are true the entire action of the Book of Genesis is predicated on the fact that Satan acting through the snake was the one who was ultimately responsible for the sinful fall of mankind every new testament writer acknowledges Satan's existence though not necessarily in every book in fact one of Satan's names appears in 19 of the 27 books even among the eight that do not explicitly mention him for allude to his existence by saying evil angels or demons the New Testament contains a wealth of evidence number seven he is a personality an accepted evidence of Personality consists of demonstrating that one has intellect emotion and will Satan has these and his intellect is evident in his scheming to deceive and in his Communications through speech to other persons 2 Corinthians 11:3 Amplified Bible but I am afraid that even as the serpent beguiled Eve by his cunning your minds may be corrupted and led away from the simplicity of your sincere and pure devotion to Christ his rebellious desire to oppose God and Conquer Christ is clearly influenced by his emotions Isaiah 14: 12-17 Amplified Bible how you have fallen from Heaven oh star of the Morning Light bring son of the Dawn you have been cut down to the ground you have weakened the Nations king of Babylon but you said in your heart I will Ascend to Heaven I will raise my throne above the stars of God I will sit on the Mount of assembly in the remote parts of the north I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will make myself the most high but in fact you will be brought down to shol to the remote recesses of the pit the region of the Dead those who see you will gaze at you they will consider you saying is this the man who made the Earth tremble who shook Kingdom who made the world like a Wilderness and overthrew its cities who did not permit his prisoners to return home in his hatred for God's people he expresses Fury and rage Revelation 12 ver2 therefore Rejoice oh heavens and you who dwell in them in the presence of God woe to the earth and the Sea because the devil has come down to you in great wrath knowing that he has only a short time remaining we can observe Satan's will in action by watching how he appeals to the will of Christ in Commandments and by observing how he stubbornly and persistently Rebels against God Luke 4:3 then the devil said to him if you are the Son of God command this Stone to turn into bread Luke 4:9 then he led Jesus to Jerusalem and had him stand on the Pinnacle the highest point of the temple and said mockingly to him if you are the Son of God throw yourself down from here Revelation 20: 7-9 Amplified Bible and when the thousand years are completed Satan will be released from his prison the abyss and will come out to deceive and mislead the Nations which are in the four corners of the earth including Gog and Magog to gather them together for the War their number is like the sand of the seashore and they swarmed up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the Saints God's people and the Beloved City Jerusalem the fire came down from heaven and consumed them scripture frequently refers to him using first person pronouns God says of him you are the anointed cherub who covers and I placed you there and you sinned Paul writes Satan dis disguises himself as an angel of Light therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as Servants of righteousness James commands submit yourselves therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7 KJV in the last two instances note the association with other persons only persons who reflect the moral image of their creator are held morally accountable not in personal forces judgment has arrived and will continue to arrive on Satan and his angels Matthew 25:41 Amplified Bible then he will say to those on his left leave me you cursed ones into the Eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels demons John 16:1 Amplified Bible about judgment the certain of it because the ruler of this world Satan has been judged and condemned we conclude that Satan is in fact a person this is evident from the evidence and was determined when he like all other Angels was created in the image of God Satan was created as an Angelic cherub possibly first in rank among all created Spirit beings God bestowed upon Him great Beauty and power he is still influential today despite his fall but his power is limited and resisted by God the infinite Creator and Sovereign he retains some of his dignity but he is no longer beautiful because of his fall from Holiness we must remember that God has complete control and that no creature can overthrow God or any of his purposes
