you'll never believe the truth about the mother of shamir's daughter and what her life is like earlier this year Shamir shared some shocking news in a video he posted on his Instagram in the video he said it was a special day because he would soon be finding out if he was going to have a baby boy or a girl his announcement was so out of the blue but what was even more surprising was when he announced who the mother of his child was now maybe it was his excitement about being a father that caused this change but Shamir typically doesn't talk about his relationships in public he even gave his reasons for that in an old interview with bet when he spoke about his reasons for not being married he said that the fact that he wasn't married and didn't have kids wasn't by accident but it was a conscious decision on his part because he was always on the Move due to his career he said he personally didn't mind moving constantly but it wasn't the most ideal scenario for a family however he admitted that deep down he would love to get married to someone he could then spend the rest of his life with around the time he did the interview it was rumored that he was supposedly on a relationship break and even before that there was never really any mention of his girlfriend or his relationships from about 1997 to 2014 that's almost two decades of course there were a lot of rumors going around at the time but they were never officially confirmed at one point people thought that he was with his Birds of Prey co-star Ashley Scott when they were spotted at the two fast to Furious Premiere in June 2003 then he was also believed to have been dating another one of his co-stars Kimberly Elise from Diary of a Mad Black Woman however those relationships were never really confirmed and he was never seen with them outside of red carpet walks at movie premieres the only time there was some substance to the assumptions about his love life was when he was with Lauren Wood the two of them allegedly dated briefly in 2014 and even though it was never official they had two high-profile date nights which were captured by Paparazzi however his last official known relationship was actually with hi Barry way back in 1997 the two made it official when they walked the red carpet together at the 54 annual Golden Glove Awards in January 1997 and Shamir admitted that hie was the first woman who knocked his socks off and made him fall hard he also said that he really tried hard to keep the relationship private because she just finalized her divorce from David Justice at the time but while Shamir had nice things to say about hiy what he said about his previous relationship with Tony Braxton was a little off in his words Tony was a fun ride but hie was a necessary experience that made him much stronger as a man he also admitted that contrary to popular belief Tony was his first official relationship he made the relationship officially known to the public by walking the red carpet together with her at the Ninth Annual so Train Music Awards in March 19 1995 in his interview with bet Shamir revealed that his relationship with Tony was a wild one as he didn't really know anything and was a newbie to Hollywood but he has come a long way since then because he's now a father and has been very forthcoming about the mother of his child the video of his baby shower which he posted on Instagram earlier this year featured his baby mama jiree dizen in the video jesire said some loving words about their child and she shared her guesses on the child's gender but she also mentioned that since she was already a mom of two children a girl and a boy she would be happy with either again jazire shares a 5-year-old daughter Charlie with actor Stephan bishop and she also has a six-year-old son Kaden her baby shower with Shamir showed the couple all loved up but besides that Shamir hasn't said much else about his relationship with jesiree in fact during his appearance on the Jennifer Hudson Show when he confirmed he was having a baby soon he didn't make any references to the baby's mother and even since the Instagram reveal he hasn't really mentioned her again in any interviews or public posts despite frequently talking about their child together it was also a little interesting that he didn't debute his relationship with jesiree on the red carpet like he usually did with all his other relationships his last official red carpet relationship was with actress Annabella Costa which they confirmed at the 60th annual Grammy Awards in January 2018 and this was actually his most high-profile relationship too in an interview on the Steve Harvey Show Shamir revealed that his and Annabelle's first date was actually at the Grammys he also revealed that at the time they were taking their time to get to know each other if you're noticing a red carpet pattern with the women Shamir has been involved with that's because there is one in 2015 he was allegedly involved with shaa Gordon shortly after they'd been linked together and spotted on a date in La they made their red carpet debut at the 46th annual NAACP image Awards now the question is is if he's known for acknowledging all his previous Partners in interviews and flaunching them on red carpets what's different with jiree so far there are only a couple of Instagram posts on his account that feature jesiree and none seem to be about their relationship the posts are usually about their child for example he shared a photo of him jiree and the baby daughter Frankie sitting on a lawn next to a plaque reading this house is my son's home mom when their child was born the two of them actually separately posted on their in accounts and they shared photos of themselves and the child only jez shared a picture of her holding the baby with a cute caption that read I shall call her squishy and she shall be mine and she shall be my squishy that's a line from Finding Nemo about the affection of parents toward their children on the one hand Shamir did something similar on his Instagram by posting a picture of himself holding his daughter the post had a very long and heartwarming caption that talked about how his dream of being a father had finally come true at the end of the post he said that he loved J and that he was thankful to her so at least that was something Shir did also post about her on Mother's Day he shared a picture of jiree with a loving caption in it he said that he appreciated her for being the mother of his child and talked about how much he loved her and would always be there for her she had also posted about him earlier on Father's Day with a sweet caption that read Happy Father's Day stud we love and appreciate you more than you know however despite the heartwarming displays of affection it seems that the love the two share is mainly just in relation to their daughter and since they haven't actually come out to say they have a personal loving relationship no one can really say for sure what's going on between them but regardless of their extremely private relationship status all seems to be going well for their daughter Frankie who they both can't seem to get enough of she may recently shared his thoughts on fatherhood stating that his life had changed completely he called his daughter a miracle and asked for jazu Ray she continues to shower her three children with so much love and care her recent Instagram posts have mostly been dedicating to ack in each one of her kids which is lovely to see but what
