I cannot stand these personal car-plane hybrids. I don't think people realize that something like this would require hours of flight certification, and do to what? Shave a few minutes off of your commute. Speaking of commuting, what problem does this solve, traffic? That would just take normal automotive traffic and place it in the sky, you would be dealing with the same bad drivers but with the added hazard of falling from the sky in the event of a crash.
I just don't see something like this ever becoming a viable mode of transportation.
It flies like an osprey? I'm sure that'll end well.
The whole flying car thing just seems a bit silly. Is driving an efficient car to an efficient plane not good enough? I can see planes that can also be cars (because really it's never a flying car it's a plane that doubles as a car) but they'd have a specific purpose for a specific area they wouldn't be meant for anyone with enough money to buy one and truck around in it.
