He made a conscious decision at some point to never play a villain again. Maybe it was something he and his agents and manger concurred upon, but I remember reading something many years ago where he said as much.
The many, many millions they paid him to play Mr. Freeze was the compensation for breaking that virtue. I bet they wish they could take that money back from him, as it clearly was the wrong call.
The irony is that he was really looking forward to playing an evil Terminator again, in the time leading up to T2. He was disappointed that Cameron was going to swerve the audience and was reluctant to go along with the program, for awhile.
At this point I have to wonder if having Arnie being the main antagonist in a shock similar to T2 would have a similar effect
he was Dr Freeze too
Hes the villain in Killing Gunther. Problem is the supposed good guys are not at all likeable, so Arnold's charismatic charm is what has you cheering for him. Worth a watch just to see him actually singing a full song which is hilarious but catchy.
