Triangles, dude. Triangles. Not squares. Um, they can expect drama. Jennie Hahn included a hidden Easter egg in the series, a glass unicorn. This figurine is a subtle nod to the books and is placed in Belly's room. It may go unnoticed unless you pay close attention. Jennie wanted to ensure that this detail was included because it held significance for her. And um... And roller coasters. (laughing) - Physically and metaphorically. - But yeah. - How are you supposed to enjoy a pool if it's 65 degrees? - How are you supposed to enjoy living in the city if it's 95 degrees? - Just like, I don't know. Despite being new to the TV audition process, she found it enjoyable and smooth thanks to Jenny and the team. The auditions were conducted over Zoom, a platform Lola was familiar with due to her college classes at Carnegie Mellon. She was thrilled to have the opportunity to read with various actors and was grateful for the experience. - Well, that's not literally not how you spell it. - You're supposed to guess, Chris. You're supposed to guess. - I'm writing my name, bro, too. - You wrote it wrong. - Don't do it, okay. - I worked at Staples. - JCPenney's when I was four. - Yeah. - Four? - Yeah, it was modeling. - Oh, fuck. - I hope you were modeling. - Shut up. - Modeling. YouTube for sure. - You gotta be careful. - Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. - Lola Tung spent two weeks bonding with Chris Briney and Gavin Castellano before starting filming. This helped create emotional moments for her character, Belly. Lola felt comfortable with both actors and got to know them during their time in Wilmington, North Carolina. This bond carried over to the first day of filming and continued to grow. Lola wanted these moments to feel big and special, just like they were for Belly. I just think I probably am a bigger Swiftie than you guys. Sure, yeah. Maybe? Definitely. Maybe not. Maybe I'm just saying things. I don't know. Next question. Team Conrad, Team Jeremiah. (laughing) - You wanna say it on three? - Okay, three, two, one. - Team Belly. - Team Belly. - That's not fair. - Do you have it written? - Yeah. - He's writing a lot. - Yeah, babysitting. - B-A-B-I. (laughing) Babysitting. - Or like camp counselor. Sometimes counselor can be a tricky word to spell. (laughing) - That's a good one, yeah. - Camp is hard. - Camp. - I mean, I think for Belly. I'm trying to think of a Taylor Swift song. I'm like cracking my brain for-- - Good question. - Cracking my brain for... Yeah, and I'm trying to think. Ooh, ooh, Taylor. I feel like probably something off of like folklore, Midnights maybe. You go, you go, I'll think about it. I'll think about it. - Cast prom queen. - Rain. - Yeah. - Rain. - Lola. - Really? - Yeah. - Okay. - She's a rapid fire. You don't get to play. - Okay, sure. [stuttering] Sure. I just-- I can't-- The only thing I can think about is Vienna by Billy Joel. That's not even in the same-- It's a song! Like... You're actually ridiculous. [laughing] Jennie Han reluctantly agreed to film a cameo appearance in response to persistent requests from fans. Despite her discomfort with being on camera, she decided to give it a try. She had previously appeared in the To All The Boys movies, and fans were curious if she would do it again. To mark the occasion, she purchased a dress and filmed a celebratory scene, which she found enjoyable. "No, I would just tell them to slow down. You're doing fine. You can't be everything you want to be before your time." "Brilliant." "Thank you, thank you, thank you." [Silence]
