THE STORM IS PASSING OVER

hello ladies and gentlemen i'm jon shannon we have another good lesson for you today taken from the book of Mark chapter four thirty five to forty one and Psalm 107 in verse 23 to 32 and we call this lesson the storm is passing over please stay tuned turn to the book of Mark chapter four amen also in the book of Matthew chapter 8 23 to 27 and Luke chapter 8 22 to 25 all right I hope that you are here today and you need some help and I think we all sometimes need some help I want you to repeat after me of the storm it has an over storm is passing over nobody likes the stone unless you are insane perhaps they mean people don't normally like stones and there's hail storms that people who don't obey the Lord there will be a hail storm for you on the other side a vain I would encourage you all this today everybody in here you need some encouragement you may not know what and I hope to encourage you to hold to God's unchanging hand we have our ups and downs amen depressed hard times look like it's like 1 2 3 can you count can you count the sinner which mean let's do it 1 2 3 sometimes I don't understand it get hold on you one Amen to a3 that's right and it goes over and over the same thing one two three like a circle one two three sometimes I don't understand that well you just hold lonely now the storm is passing over but as soon as one storm is over nothing comes and sometimes when you're going through it it looked like you don't ever come out of it look like it's forever but it's soon gonna pay and when it passes you come out of it don't get too relaxed because another one is coming and your whole life is going to be like that as long as you live in this world now let's look at an incident here mas records it in Mars chapter four thirty five to forty one first point we have is listened to sailing toward the storm you got it everybody in here right now you are sailing toward Earth or storm amen are you with me one number two severity of the storm sometimes you're real rough things you getting real rough sometimes we get so rough until you get angry you get depressed and even suicidal and even sad and Aventine you know what happened to is I just don't care it was that's verse 37 did we have sleeping in the stone verse 38 amen are you still with me then we have stopping the stroll don't we like the storm to stop putting the storm stop how do you act wait a minute now when the storm is on your praying but wouldn't the storm is over do you go back to acting the same way that you did before the stone came now let's go down to this in this text and unpack this text I have a lot that I want to deal with today is that Alright I hope you can see that a man that maybe this is the first time some of you have been to the Church of Christ expresses that James Road and perhaps you never saw nothing like this in your life you probably said what did in the world of this guy doing but I'm getting ready to teach God's Word I'm going to give the interpretation of the text and make application fiery everyday living are you are you with me let's go down this text here first that selling toss-up now look look when it first first thing makes sure Christ is let me try to tell you something that you need to listen everybody here you're getting ready oh you're not getting ready to cross over to the other side well what other side to that unseen reading where it ain't will be no more physical life you get ready to go oh you going some ice on that you are going to the other side now if you go to the other side who's going with you is Jesus going with you or you don't try to do it by yourself they make sure Christ is dominant in your life and when they had sent away the multitude they took him for him Christ look even as he was in the shield they took him as he walked let me say something I cried you can't change Christ his job as a chap change you cry don't need us we need him tough to meet somebody if you get to the point where you think Christ needs you sometimes in the visa well you know I'm not gonna Western and praise God God I don't need you listen listen he can raise up somebody else he can make a hump out of you real quick hey man you be graveyard did a man somebody well that's pretty good they took him even as he was in this year do you want Jesus ownership in your life let me tell you something about Jesus Jesus don't pick them if you're wrong you're wrong wait a minute if you're crazy you're crazy amen he's gonna point out your folks a man somebody I'll see you he's focusing on the clock here they their clock is got it a man that's pretty good now amen and there were also with him little ships but let me tell you something people in life many people don't have Christ many people are not in this church and when storms come guess what do you know a store music in the area affects everybody it affects everybody saints and sinners wait a minute Christians we ought to show enough leave right because if we got Christ with us why should we we are praying and that's God helpless some of this goodness is gonna go to the non-believer talk to me somebody are you listening alright let's go a little further severity of this stone what do you mean the cause of the stone and there Rose a great storm of wind amen and the cruelty of the storm and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now full brother listen ISM if you know anything about geography around the Sea of Galilee encourage the formation of a great winds coming on the scene this would make our natural calls for a storm that very situation was located it makes a natural call for stone the least of the wind gets without in a pop-up you got it now God knew that Christ knew they may be disciples do it but they didn't know why a lot of times storms come in life he don't know why can I tell you something you better be ready hey man I might have saved man they're that good now sleeping in the storm some face storm by sleeping look at this and he was in the hind the part of a ship asleep on a pillow what in a way looking at they trying to keep everything uncontrolled and right all that stuff going on and Christ back get sleep that won't make some point see you know what when you really got Christ in your life that's what when the storm come you can go to be you've got to learn to do that in life you've got to learn to not to do like these folks in some face storm by stressing it stressing out they can't sleep they can't eat they toss into their vote but look it what what's going on I thought you say you know child girl what are you scared of if the Lord wind with you he's with you are you in good fellowship with the Lord now not now wait a minute now there's some storms gonna come you can't stop them can't stop them that's the government watch it and they the disciples only see I waked him and said unto Him master carest thou not that we perish wake up wake up don't you hear me calling you think Jesus don't know what store Magoo no thank with I'm dealing with the text name and we're gonna have stopping the storm the Fox did they give you a hard time this week not really you know I pray for the police department called day in a storm every day and some of y'all are giving in the storm hey man wall he listen to you give him the police of our time you're making a strong storm today's fool and I don't want you to work hard on my brother yeah I brother need something to relieve hey man he don't need to be having it locked up Christians I mean that's the heathens they man somebody yeah well I rebuke straitly charged in watch it and he arose and rebuked the wind he charged a wheel now you don't have that much power and all these people claim that they can do the miraculous why in the world when a storm come why don't you stand out and do like Jesus did on the ship now let me tell you what for what he did watch it and said unto the sea peace be still all these Rascals that claim that he'll miraculous powers why is it when the weatherman say a storm is coming why don't you get up and said peace be still they can't do it you can claim you got to do miracles you can't do no miracles a man now cried in America you think they believe it oh yeah peace be still and the wind what cease and there was great come see what happened now this lesson already helped us because we don't deal with some practical stuff in our lives daily good then watch this now no reproof convinced I'll tell them there follows what Jesus killed his disciples their fault and he's talking to us today when problems come what are you doing did you trust God or you go berserk Chuck I'm helping somebody you need to be listening watch his head and he said unto them why are now so fearful when problems come why you get so scared what's happened what's going on you got to take the drink you got a smoke some weed you got to take a pill to calm down we're eating a helmet on their Jeep wait a minute and how is it that ye have no faith look at this if there is fear there is no faith wait a minute Peter and faith they don't work together so when you're fearful apparently you don't have the faith that a hold and sustain you and you don't need it I'm trying to help somebody today amen and if there is faith there is no fear a man is good in all boy that's good what's the reaction of the people only with and they feared exceedingly and said one to another what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey you let me ask the question do you have more sense to know than the wind and the sea what I mean the wind and the sea obey them and you say you got more sense than wheat and the sea why don't you obey look at this different stones in life and sickness I heard the sister this morning pray my prayers go out for your sister just keep Jesus don't bow it home don't give up don't give up probably going to come have many bad relationships that's a spoon and bad relationship let me tell you something it brings pain on every side talk to me somebody watch it it have you angry it have you depress you want to commit suicide your sadness and you get to the point where you just don't care talk to them to somebody look what we got we got family problem with the family problem that comes financial problems what is it the average person in America are living from payday to payday talk to me somebody you ain't rich so stop acting like you're rich you live from payday to payday amen you lose your job I'm gonna quit man you ain't got nothing on st. up to quit you better think amen no money wait a minute family problem spouts got a spouse he or she every won't do right you up and down like a yo-yo your woman you guys see right now for me every man that look healthy thank you all this some women every time i man look him to get all excited some men a woman look at him just wave at him he gonna throw his pocket boo got a million ain't number problem they don't really want you off lay wounded yo money hate a minute and then you mess around here and watch it when your money ran out you see what you got go ahead and get sick get sick yes I dare you to get seed and money stuck cut stop coming in and that a little red lip girl that you've been running after she wouldn't give you a drink of water if you were dying talk to me somebody I know I'm right about it is that right Amen strong here right and the devil when he get in he gets in the spouse and he get in the children you mother's here doing the best you can with your children it seems like the more you preach to them the worse they get you going to a stone mama needs some help I'm trying to help my mouth mama gonna have to kick me hey husband beating on them cursing them call them all kinds of name talk to me somebody everything doing yo your children mama liked it I'm doing you hey your children dated liked it can't do that ain't me is that pretty good you're a bad relationship now got to report now why you don't trust him no more you don't trust her no boy you don't trust me with money you don't tuck him with nothing and the show don't trust him around women don't trust around me in dog head you need some encouragement a man children these children you're feeding that when they down like this little baby here next to Daddy you better take care of a boy right there Quran and teach them in that age because when you get up and get a certain age like 14 15 and only want to see you ain't looking for somebody day the opposite sex and then again let me throw this in a lot of time these girl to grow up they don't want to know boy they want another one that's a stroke that's a bad storm then hit our as a bad storm any time women you know it's got to be something wrong with a man if he want to marry me that's his bad storm Mike that's a bad still when a woman think that she's a man and trying to marry another woman that's a storm and infects the whole family it affects the whole society it messes everything up and the devil is just laughing laughing later passing of loved ones sometimes when death hit a family they said you know when death hit a family they take three up sometime it'll take a like it did down in Texas this person lost eight members in the family coming to service you think that's not a store that's the store and it's painful doing the best you can in life and not being appreciated do you appreciate your spouse being appreciate your husband children do you appreciate your parents talk to me somebody show some kindness hey man somebody all boys that good a man somebody huh I got a little oh yeah I'm gonna let you out in time got to do some teaching in you can't take all of this at one time brother Joe you can't take all the stuff in one time oh can you see that can you see top can you see that I ask you could you can I ask you could you can't look at 1 2 3 then 1 2 3 that's way life here you watch it you in a storm you endure in the storm you watch it and you exit the storm don't give up you need to prepare for reality we live in a real world where stuff is happening and brethren we need Christ too many you need Christ men because you don't know preparation for a reality wait a minute now you know let's bring it on down you know some was just about over fall coming in and one you know that right it's gonna be a cold and cold and it's gonna start freezing you know you pipes in your house need to be insulated even messing around you need to prepare it's just come and sit you need to prepare for the cold weather wait a minute don't worry about your hair condition because you'll need it you need to get your heater ready right you got to prepare because it don't get told still wit you got to get the PETCO okay wait you know you got a car you've been running it with a bad radiator don't have no antifreeze it you can pray to Jesus come if you don't put some antifreeze in your car and then get down teens below zero you're gonna miss your motor now you've got a soul and you called the store now your children you gotta suffer your wife you gotta suffer and get it you're proud to lose your job because you couldn't get to work and all these excuses preach brother Santa your balls don't want to hit excuse you know she need to do you need to prepare for reality okay I won't go take a picture him cause enough take this and send it to your folks in California take a picture of them cynically you got it now look what we got here you got ingress sometimes what is it that's exit then you got exist so you exist see when you're not having a problem you exist and will you exist again what we like to do when there's no problem we like the big dough what is Big Dawg we'd like to lick here we'd like to put the bigger than the look little mini big we'd like to play like like we got it really going on we want to live like the rich and famous and no hell enough money to buy a box of toothpicks sell down a stain your clay again when you're not having any problem save your money turn the TV off because every time you turn the TV on watch it he may be a good movie they have advertised what's that for to get your money and I think to try something la ever time is food or cars or clothes a beer our sports is something to get your money now you ready cuz you're not having in the problem you won't worship he know what's banal he just came out of a storm Eddie hey I got it made me god is good how did good all the time don't we know how to say that yeah well look at that one two three what is the ingress ingress means the inner yes where you hate it here right back to nose cone and it's gonna be like that as long as you live if I could get young people to realize that young people you young people who are thinking about getting mad listen to this this one two three is gonna happen you whether you have good time they attack you better go ahead and enjoy that one day of your wedding one day you but you take a lot of pictures all kinds of picture we eating the cake together and you see how we doing pretty hey you better enjoy the whole let's go change all that can change and you need to listen listen I help you out you know sometimes we create storms in life for ourselves we don't pay attention to it right and I want to talk to the young girl today and say here's one right here she had one right here she's young that one right here let this man says no really can't count you in the ditch okay do you have any children oh you Mary tell you what you do you want to store them to come go ahead and have five sick kids and not matter women lookie-lookie to see that you tell my weeping is for a fella weeping million dual for night that night can last for eighteen years you got kids women you got kids one two three four five two four six eighteen guess what when you get to raising those kids that's gonna be long and you said I don't need no man or you don't you really need to put that really to you talk to me somebody is that right hey you need to listen that's it huh listen we've been uh in do it for a night but what but you're coming in the more in the morning what do you mean and you be glad to get out of it your exit out and listen here we gonna all have some stone but you don't keep having the same stone sometime you have a financial stall Sutter not a whole life thing right I mean it you've got two jobs and working you gotta help some money right you'll be better off by being in jail if you working two jobs now have no money that's where your folks are in jail at least affect somebody else stop cousin storm for people they see you coming there's a minute and call on the telephone them we met I've been calling you and you were as I know it nobody wants to storm right you're the same affliction your brother that's what in the world yes boy it's some more and tonight I'm gonna deal with some 120 107 and that's why I won't hold dear just because I know a lot of y'all because you heard something is warning that you didn't water here but I'm just trying to help you out watch it you need to prepare for the storms of life they go pass over but it's never gonna come get all that but watch this let's go ham again now you know that watch this well when you're dying what's gonna happen death is always a separation James for 24 the body without the Spirit is dead so faith that I work indeed so when you die you inner man don't leave your body your body gonna go down lifeless they bury you but your spirit go to two unseen word right don't bet you got a game and when you're dying where you going when you think it's a storm here if you had prepared for the go to the other side with Jesus the storm that you going into you will never get out of it that's a hailstone who will get out of there so you need to obey the gospel while you're in your right mind you got to believe in Jesus to Christ that he died on cross on the cross shedding his blood he bought all anyone Church for all people you read about it in Scripture you believe that then you believe he died he was buried and rose again the third day yes are you willing to make some changes jesus said I tell you they accept your event you're all likewise perish if you're in a church or in an organization that the Lord didn't bill that's not in the Bible you need to come out of somebody something like oh come on you don't want to come out of it but remember that hailstone because a hailstone is older and prepared for the devil's anus jesus said except you repeat y'all like my ship hairs so my son Michael turn around you wish you had him but it be to later to judgment would you confess with your mouth your faith in Jesus I believe Jesus Christ Sun God will you be willing to be baptized in water for a mr. C jesus said go preach the gospel he that believeth is baptized shall be saved he that believeth not shall be damned and then Leah faith anybody cries Michael you ready are you here somebody he already ready before the storm for that great storm car or get ready he may have some limbs of the Church of Christ who have been caught in the storm Justin got everything messed up and out of way as long as you got breath in your body and your blood is running warming things and you hadn't lost your mind why don't you repent repent and turn to the Lord so I'm coming back I'm coming home he done nothing to me and he didn't brought you through all this stuff wait a minute y'all repent of course if you like if you hear that's your decision do it right now together we stand and sing we certainly hope that you've enjoyed today's lesson the storm is passing over thank you god bless you richly
