The Spamton x Petz Modding Iceberg Explained

[Laughter] all right so i joined this pets discord a little while ago because i got back into modding pets and um recently somebody has created or recreated spammed in deltarune in pets for and it's it's one of the most awful creatures i've ever seen i'm so impressed and upset by the modding first of all i wanted to say thank you to watergator who i will link up here and put a link down below um thank you or thank you for creating spamton of which there are multiple versions and personalities and thank you to the user who i will picture here for compiling very beautiful documentation i love this documentation it's great um i just wanted to read you out some choice quotes from the document which full credit goes to them for writing it um so first to get this set up pets four and five spamton depends which version of the game you have is a different species entirely from deltarune spamton it shares his name and physical appearance but its behaviors and personality will be different there are spantion variants made with a personality and appearance closer to game canon which i will get to shortly pets spamton henceforth referred to as just spamtoon was created by watergator and all rights and credits go to them he has been updated a lot since the original post and several variations of him now exist what i will focus on is the latest file i have in my game um so we have spam pets five and spanish and pets four which i believe i can link in the description as well there are also big shot and addison spamton or attispam variants which were made by me but are really just modifications of watergator's original design so here's big shot and here's addison they too have different personalities and when they say different personalities they don't mean like this isn't this isn't like fan like creation um personalities is in the game like you can change the personalities of the pets within the game and that's what they've done here so they've essentially altered their ai to behave more like our og spammed in deltarune watergator also has spam to neo which i highly recommend purely for its hilarious personality and behavior note that this file replaces the base game siamese cat file and is therefore an overwrite either keep your original siamese cat file as a backup or you can find an original copy here in case you want it back so to explain that a little bit there are dot pet files which are the files that describe each individual pet but the cat the dot cat and the dot dog files are the files that represent the blueprint for every single breed that you can get in the game so they're a little bit different for people who want a more game accurate and on model spamton he's available here thanks to the modifications made by extreme modding or lucio to 27 on discord keep in mind that when i say on model i really do mean on model if it's too freaky for you you can always revert back to the original spam files above you can honestly have every spam variation in one game i've done it myself for now we will just focus on our original spamton the scrunkly as we love to call him all right if you're enjoying the spamton content so far i'm having a of content you like or what other mods you'd like to see in the future back to part two part two personality we will focus on his personality traits first as this is the most important factor to keep in mind when taking care of him a good in-depth guide to pet's personalities can be found here live time maybe i'll go into the personalities a little bit more to show you what a normal personality looks like spamton comes from an orange short hair or oshie base these cats are known for the low confidence and have a noticeable shivering or wobbling animation when they walk here are my current swampton's personality traits liveliness of 87 playfulness 88 independence 7 confidence one naughtiness 82 acrobaticness 11 patience 50 kindness 98 nurturing 94 finickiness 16 intelligence 58 messiness 13 quirkiness 11 that's pretty low insanity 90 constitution 15 metabolism 100 and dogginess 100 and dogginess refers to when when you have a cat breed um it's how likely they are to have like dog personality traits in there i have found through observation that although there is a consistent pattern and what kind of personality spamton has certain traits will be randomized nonetheless i have tested this out on some pamptons of my own plus watergators thank you for letting me borrow them and thank you for the two of you uh for providing all of these wonderful spam tins after collecting all their personality traits i created a table here it is s1 through s6 are all examples to see how the personality traits so there's a few different consistencies in the personality traits there's a lot of there's a lot of deep spammed and research here but i'm mostly concerned with um the more the more practical aspects the spam 10 application if you will the spam application so this means each spamton is unique to you we still will use my spantion for this guide but i think it would still apply to your spamtones because of his low independence he will need to rely on you a lot he will cry when you ignore him for too long and he will often need cues on several things he won't complain too much if you hold him by the scruff and place him on a pillow or into a bed or weaver basket he will easily get jealous and try to fight the others to take his rightful place in your hands his confidence is also very low the lowest in mind he is scared of pretty much everything that exists this means that he has a distinctive shiver and wobble to his walk it's rather intense than mine almost according to one discord user like he has neurological problems and maybe that is the case with spamton that his breed is prone to neurological defects as well as contracting many diseases see the low constitution my spamton also does lymph and i have noticed this in other spamtons i am still not sure what causes this or if it's just part of the yoshi personality the limp it doesn't really affect him and seems to be purely cosmetic pets cannot get injured or die they can only get sick and recover quickly or run away so don't worry if your spamsen also wobbles and limps it's just a spamten thing another oshie trait spamton has is that he will freak out and run around the room in a panic if there is an object he is unfamiliar with or if the object has a specific negative trait attached such as bad noisy it's cute and funny but unfortunately it can pose a problem when trying to feed him as pretty much all food objects have the bad noisy trait attached to them more on that later his low constitution means he doesn't have a lot of energy and will get sick often please give him plenty of rest and medicine when needed he deserves it his high metabolism means he gets full quickly and loses weight faster and his high insanity means he will do specific animations associated with the insanity trait like this for example spamton does have positive traits he loves to play and he loves his owner oh he enjoys pets and he likes to dance with the music box despite his jealousy he can get along with calmer pets and he will readily do tricks for you he's a pet who requires a lot of patience and understanding he will make you laugh and be concerned about him and he might frustrate you but that's okay he's fountain with time he will learn to love the toys and treats you bring him and he'll soon love seeing you on screen all right so finally we're gonna go over number three feeding which they claim is a big problem with first time spamton owners myself included so i have not yet adopted a spamton i've waited to read this guide a little bit and get acclimated but let's go over let's go over the basics uh before we adopt our samson since pets can never die this also means they cannot actually starve but leaving them hungry for too long will raise their neglect value making it more likely for them to run away now when pets run away um i'm pretty sure you can still get them in your files like i think so technically like they're not dead they just run away first he has a very long nose and no discernible mouth area his nose will always get in the way of him trying to eat anything as the collision box will be triggered and the bowl and mug will move away from him as a result he does get by just fine by using his nose to eat it like an insect using its proboscis disgusting second as i mentioned before he is terrified of practically everything including food this is due to his low confidence but it's become exaggerated in such a way that any item with the bad noisy trait even the lower value ones will send him into a panic so here's kind of a fun little thing about different traits so all of these different objects are objects that you can get in the base game and a lot of them are either toys or perfume or food that you're supposed to give to your pet and all of them have a bunch of different attributes but the bad noisy one i assume is like something that if you're if you have a skittish cat or dog it might make them afraid of it right and i think the higher the value the more afraid or the more likely they will be to be afraid of it and honestly when i was first playing this game i didn't know any of this um i took awful care of my pets let that hopefully not be too much on the record but if you want to do all this stuff and you want to adjust spamton or any other pet there is a very old long-standing mod called petse and a lot of the times it's pre-installed so a lot of the shady ways that you can acquire this game we'll already have it pre-installed and it's not it's not anything bad it just gives you a way to manipulate how your pet is feeling directly with sliders so i just wanted to give a quick honorable mentions to a bunch of the really old modded pets that used to be kind of the thing back in the day i don't know if you've ever seen that one vinesauce vinnie stream if you know you know but he did this one stream where he created some of the worst abominations i've ever seen in pets the whole stream was pretty interesting because there are all these different user creations and i want to note that some of these websites are super old i mean okay maybe for me it's not that old because i'm not that old but these websites are dated and the worst part for me that's kind of sad is that a lot of these websites are kind of defunct a lot of the links that you'll find are the hyperlinks some of them are still maintained or like archived but a couple of them are completely gone because people don't really upkeep these websites anymore and there's still a niche community for this but some of those older websites with resources and such are no longer available so i don't know how to resolve this for archival purposes and i've really wanted to go through a bunch of these and make it more accessible and i think this might be a good place to start because i've been missing getting back back into modding i've really wanted to get back into it and honestly this little spamton has kind of revived my interest and my excitement for it i mean i was struggling to figure out where to start and i think this is kind of somewhere where this has already gotten a lot of people into this community um the silly little funny guy this silly little big shot and if you want to join the modding community of any kind but especially this one i would highly recommend it i think it's really cool i think it's really fun and you can meet a lot of other spamton aficionados once again i want to thank documentation i think you did a great job with that it's very thorough thank you to watergator for creating the mod and for doing work on that and to the larger pets hexing and modding community i've had a great time if i've missed anyone or if you want your links or anything like
