laminal the best youngster in the world you surely heard of him he is carrying Barcelona at just 16 years old and if at the beginning of the Season he was considered a super sub or a nice Prospect to have on your team he is now an essential part of the club representing the future of Barcelona watching him play on the right wing with such confidence reminded fans of a certain Argentinian cor wck Defenders on a daily basis Leonel Messi and now the real question is can laminal be as good as Leo Messi is this a based question or is it delusional to find out we have to go all the way back to 2014 that's when he started to train for Barca when he was 7 years old to be exact he actually began playing in a 7A side team with other talented boys from 2007 but out of all of them laminal was the most talented his left foot was out of this world he could rebble pass and finish with Incredible Precision even though he was the best amongst his teammates yamal was not the selfish type of player passing the ball to his mates every time there was a chance does this remind you of someone I think it does lamir Rose through the academy quickly becoming better with each passing day and so this wouldn't go un noticed in September 2022 Chavis selected lamin to train with the first team he was only 15 at the time but it wasn't until 2023 that he made his first team debut he replaced Gabi in a 4-nil win against Real Bettis he was the youngest ever player to appear for Barcelona's first team and was he good enough to start every match probably not but he was still good enough to come off the bench and get minutes despite this he was is still not starting any games and this was because Barca didn't want to repeat the same mistakes they committed with pedri and Anu fatti fatti was only 16 when he played every game he wasn't given any rest days and that led to him getting injured every week same with pedri he only returns from an injury and then he gets injured again because he was overplayed in his breakthrough season he got so tired that his body can't physically recover anymore and so this is why Barca didn't rush lamin yamal until they did yamal started his first game for the club on 20th of August 2023 in a 2-nil victory against kadiz becoming the youngest starter for Barcelona in La Liga at the age of only 16 years old and to give you an idea of how good this kid is the opposition fans gave him a standing ovation when he was subbed off so it's fair to say he didn't doesn't take him long to get to the top only in his next appearance he was named man of the match and he was the youngest ever player to supply an assist in a La Liga Fixture he was named the inaugural under 23 player of the month for August lamin wasn't just a simple young Talent we are talking about someone generational he showed unprecedented levels of maturity at such a young age and that's the main reason why Chavi has put so much trust in him it's because his decision making is mature despite the fact that he is only 16 and so on 90th of September laminal finally made his Champions League debut in a 5- nil victory over Royal anwp he again broke a record becoming the second youngest player to feature in the competition aged 16 years and 68 days only behind yufa mukoko in October 2023 yamal extended his contract with Barcelona until 2026 and the club surely wants to keep him forever as the buyout close is €1 billion e he then started his first match in the Champions League against Porto becoming the youngest player named in a starting lineup at 16 years and 83 days old but enough of this youngest to ever what about goals does he ever score oh trust me he does so listen to this on 8th of October 2023 he scored his first goal against Granada he became the youngest goal scorer in Barcelona's history yeah I just had to mention it now this kid is still at school imagine having this type of life in the morning you get ready for school you sit with your colleagues talk about girls you have lunch you get into fights with everyone basically a typical teenager life but at night at night you go to play in the Champions League you get the next messy type of shouts and you make more money than every teacher combined in a week saying that on 4th of December 2023 lamin was given the inaugural Golden Boy the youngest trophy but on the day of the ceremony lamin wasn't present because he was at school yeah bro was learning geometry instead of receiving golden awards on 25th of January he scored against atletic Bilbo in the quarterfinals of the Copa del guess what he became the Young no we will skip this part on 11th of February lamin scored a brace against Granada finally earning a man of the match award and I swear this is the last time but he became the youngest ever player to score a brace in La Liga the youngest to receive the man of the match award and the youngest to reach 10 goals and assist contributions in La Liga what about his International career though you might ask well that looks very promising as well and trust me I may sound delusional but he already has a better International career than Cristiano Ronaldo I'm joking still lamino was called up to the senior team when he was only 16 years and 50 days old and he scored on his debut against Georgia he helped Spain a lot in the Euro qualifiers breaking again a set of Records do you want me to mention them no okay I still will he became the youngest goal scorer for Spain breaking gav's record and the youngest goal scorer in a euro qualifying match breaking GF Bale's record and now we get to the present day asking the most delusion question again will linal ever get as good as Messi no or yes maybe just quickly hear me out you see there are two main aspects to this question firstly is the circumstances and opportunities football has changed a lot since Messi was the best youngster on the planet when Messi scored his first senior goal for Barcelona he was 17 years old yamal was 16 years and 87 days old when Messi scored his first International goal he was 18 years old lamin was 16 and not only that but the medicine involving football has gotten better the training principles have also evolved now it is easier for footballers to get in a good shape it is also easier to maintain that shape meaning that avoiding injuries or having a good diet is substantially less difficult compared to how it was 10 years ago point is yamal has more opportunities at this age than Messi had with the new technologies he can very well develop his talent way quicker than Messi but that doesn't mean that he will get better or at the same level as the Argentinian even if lamin is incredible the common issue with youngsters is that they are not consistent in every area they might not be consistent with their nutrition training or even performances and I also have to mention anxiety we should never forget that lamini 16 even even though he's mature on the pitch he's still a kid he goes to school for God's sake but he's already getting compared to the greatest ever footballer that creates a lot of pressure around your name you either score or assist every match or you'll be considered as a failure in my opinion he could end up like buan kirkit he was named the next Messi he was named the next Messi before Messi even hit his Prime and because of the pressure he was very anxious before m matches thus leaving Barcelona for a calmer place lamin has to learn how to handle pressure or else it might be the end for him very soon and the second aspect is the team Barcelona but barcel Legion what do you mean what I mean is that the Barcelona lamin is playing in is nowhere near Messi's Barcelona when he was still a youngster and calm down Madrid fans I am not saying that Messi was surrounded by the greatest players I'm referring to the the overall structure of the club in 2005 Barca had a clear Direction they weren't $1 billion in depth and they had just won the Champions League what I'm trying to say is that in 2005 Barcelona had a better environment to develop young talents in 2024 Barca is in shambles and there is also a limited time to evolve plus there is a lot of pressure on everyone's shoulders that is why lamin won't be as good as Messi of course he W but hey as a Barca fan you need to hold on to any hope you have yamal is good garnacho is good mbappe is great but no one comes even close to the goats Cristiano and Messi they might seem very similar to the goats they might have a similar play style but we need to stop expecting them to perform like Leo or Ronaldo that era is in the past and unfortunately we do have to move on saying that lamin is still an incredible talent but in the future he will surely be one of the best players in the world if he will be consistent in everything he does Barca must also not rush him in order to avoid injuries personally the only way I see for him is up so what are your thoughts will lamin get as good as Messi
