The Sam and Max iceberg

guess most of you didn't expect this to happen but it's happening if you've been following my Twitter you would know that I've been working on this project for about a couple of months or so I technically started it in 2021 but never got around to finishing it until now if you found us in your recommendations then welcome welcome to the ston max Iceberg I don't need to explain the iceberg Trend by now it's a concept where people talk about various subjects like True Crime lost Media or video games I thought to myself no one's ever made a Stam in Max Iceberg so I decided to fix that salmon Max debuting in 1987 and created by Steve pcel The Adventures of salmon Max gner around her time as freelance police officers stopping Mayhem from throughout the city and even the world starting off as comics in their early days would eventually turn into a video game series in animated cartoon merchandise and even remasters of the games being released but seasons 1 and 2 already available and season 3 coming soon but I'm sure most of you already knew who they were that's why you clicked on this video like how every Iceberg works I'm going to be talking about some underground subjects of the franchise the deeper we go you might not even recognize but that's okay because I'll be guiding you through every one of these topics I was going to discuss some characters from the cartoons and video games but that would have taken up too much time and I'm sure we know who they are by now so put on your swimming gear let's take a dive into the salmon Max [Music] iceberg [Music] Max being Max is a YouTube video created by Jay Lauren throughout 2015 it's garnered over 1 million views and [Music] Counting since we're on the topic of YouTube videos there's another salmon Max related video that goes by his salmon Max gay moments created by someone who goes by Annoying even if you're not a salmon Max fan you've likely gotten this in you recommended at least a couple of times this is considered to be a fact in the salmon Max Community steell stated on multiple occasions that salmon Max could be married this can be seen in the first game Salon Max at the road and even in the 1997 cartoon word shows the two getting married twice and in ston Max Dave of the world they take Si's dating quiz only to find out they're each other's soulmates disturbing and yet somehow not completely unexpected and in the devil's Playhouse there's an option to give Max an engagement ring which leads to a cut scene where Sam can be seen using it to propose to Max and in poker Knight 2 when one of the characters asked Sam a series of questions like does he date other talking dogs which Sam responds that he is kind of off the market right now as he seemingly gestures to Max though this could just be taken up as a joke to poke fun of the fans it's still a cute thing that they do are you the parents of those two parasites well not exactly although we do still have a time machine so I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility that's gross Max I'm just saying though Sam or Max haven't openly declared their relationship fans still believe that their relationship goes beyond more than a friendship and there's so much more evidence of them being a couple it's pretty obvious they are at this point even the team who worked on Telltale samon Max said it in commentary and here's the moment with samon Max oh there it is oh I love that no it's so cute Yeah couple [Laughter] wait the 1997 Simon Max freelance police cartoon was your typical Saturday morning cartoon also created by sterel the show was filled with slap sck and tons of adult humor this was my first introduction to the franchise back in 2021 and I decided to check it out and absolutely loved it unfortunately the show only lasted for 24 episodes in a single season before being taken off the air completely due to low ratings fans F on to the hope that someday it'll be considered a comeback with the original cast like what they did with Animaniacs and just recently Clone High although they would have to change Sam's voice role du the Harvey Atkins passing in 2017 though it's highly unlikely they'll come back we can still hope for a reboot created by flamy cooler on YouTube was a project where Sam and Max fan artists would come together and recreate the episode a glitch in time the full video is available to watch on YouTube and I recommend watching it since you get to see all these wonderful artists and animators collaborate on this awesome [Music] project created by Telltale the ston Max Trilogy is a series of video games created by the company from 2006 to 2010 well technically 2013 if you count their cameos and poker knite games they produced three seasons of the franchise before it end in 2010 as of 2020 after Telltale shut down 2 years prior skunkape a company created by xtale workers decided to remaster all three of the games with the devil's Playhouse being announced for 2023 before being rescheduled for spring 2024 f oned a hope that after all three of the games released there could be a possible fourth season in the works it's unlikely but the chances aren't [Music] zero listen I know we all don't want to talk about it but let's just get this over with the thing that wouldn't stop it is the first episode of the Sam and Max cartoon Sam and Max have to travel inside a refrigerator to stop this green blob that has taken three repairment hostage we later learned learned that the thing is actually an expired TV dinner and it's destined to be eaten Sam volunteers to eat this thing I'm not using the other word after the thing has fulfilled its Destiny everything goes back to normal and the episode ends like that or so we wish it ended like that I'm not going to show the actual clip because nobody wants to see that you can watch it for yourself on your own time but the last 3 minutes shows Sam an excruciating pain for God Knows Why The Scene goes on for a whole minute with Max making the whole situation worse by saying this he's going to blow the scene then ends with Sam burping and the episode ends I don't have anything else to say let's just move [Music] on after their final appear in Parker Knight 2 in 2013 Salon Max would ultimately be forgotten about for almost 10 years until the announcement in 2020 that they would be coming back with their own virtual reality game the game would be a simple Adventure Puzzle Quest with Salon Max taking you the player under their wing to teach you how to become a freelance police officer the game would be built around so much hype thanks to YouTube's recommendations and the popularity of ston Max during the time the game would come out in June 2021 but not before being moved and rescheduled to July 202 21 the game is now available to be played although the reviews aren't the best on Steam I suggest checking it out if it's worth the $30 [Music] price in AB Lincoln Must Die salmon Max must travel to Washington because an assumption where they assume that the president is hypnotized after Max [ __ ] decapitates to President we soon learned that he's not hypnotized but a puppet America then goes into an emergency election where Max has to go up against his statue of Abraham Lincoln in the end sammon Max sabotaged the election and Max ends up becoming the president of the United States throughout season 2 his presidency is mentioned throughout the game during season 3 it's still mentioned that he was the president but considering that season 1 and three came out in a span of 4 years he would have had a few more months of serving likewise sir a bit too [Music] close okay so Sam's original ve was the voice of goofy I don't really have this explain was because it's quite obvious in the first masing and hit the road Sam was voiced by the legendary well-known Bill farmer he s further voice behind goofy he was really going to make a combat and the cancer 2004 game but it never really got [Music] made created in 1985 and released in 2008 it's a collection of seven Max Comics created by Stevie parcel of day years from the late ' 80s to '90s you can buy the book online but it's very rare and might and the com sold for around $100 you can inad easy look of the comics onl for free but the book is nothing more than just a collections item [Music] from courtesy of Telltale they have a large amount of salmon Max blooper reals you can watch online varying from all three video games they're really funny and it's aming to watch the actors go off the rails whenever they mess up which feel completely in character hard thing to say I'd start by taking it out of the display [Music] case it's also the only evidence we get to hear of William caston's true voice William Caston be Max's voice actor in a huge topic we'll discuss later on ourselves on sugar and crusted air fluff and practice our projectile vomiting skills by trying to tag visitors from the super minic I had you super Manic [Laughter] [Music] Spinitron there are official s Max blushies that you can buy online created alongside with C you can buy one of the two AO pluses at insanely high price of4 to $50 although expensive you can have one without the other [Music] right Timmy Totie is a character from Beyond Time In Space he is a son of Jimmy twoth who I originally was going to talk about in this video but I thought Timmy was more appropriate considering he has a pretty questionable reputation in the community but why you may ask Timmy has TRS that's not problem but some fans found him offensive because he was basically a stereotype of people with Tourette Syndrome he'd only show up blurting curse words which were obviously bleeped out later on in the game Sam and Max would try to find a cure for his trette syndrome after he supposedly dies from it and goes to hell because of it now I know it's not in my department to say anything because I don't have tourettes but I feel I need to shine a light on this topic because you can say sure what they did was wrong but it was just a joke but that still doesn't excuse the negative aspect it has on people with tourettes and sure they were jokes but they were making the issue of people with Tourette's the joke they were practically making fun of it and mocking it and it's sending off hurtful stereotypes to people with the condition and after season 2's remastered release they hardly made any changes to his character his offensive stereotypes and no moderation on joke removal Tourette's can't be cured and Tourette's is not a joke people should do proper research on the subject and be more aware on how remarks like this can affect other people the most we can do now is show support speak up and educate others on this topic and make sure to be [Music] respectful Sim is known for being awfully sweet and kind heart for those around him H would I have to be as bad as you too but given how see he can be he there's also a J say to him in Max's big day from the S Sam assum game of Guinea p cut off Max's brain without any thought he abely goes AP [ __ ] on them only Mas comment down surely after telling him that he's fine and he just slept on his crown wrong but skip towards the devil's playoffs in the episode they stole Max's brain they stole Max's brain for real call Sam for what the community called no Sam who is really like upon the community even the team montant admit that he was planning during the early version of the game that he they could have wait for him to go AP [ __ ] control Noir Sam which is something we put a pin on very early in the season that we wanted to get to yeah we all knew we wanted to see Sam lose his really get upset he's really shown through a streem link though the episode even play on a gun on a rat from Max Sam has shown many examples being overly protected for our backs kind of sweet if you think about it it just it's probably his doggy instincts to protect that Sal and Maximus are the great grand fathers of s Macs apping the to of s Mac has some Cy skeletons that look similar to The Duo only showing up in the few M of collect the me case as you get the chance to control them and trying to retrive the devil's T from a character named paper weight after this success and are about to finally Thrive it they get stuck by a passing CSE that timately kills them pretty sad considering that they never got a chance to see the great [Music] Grandsons in the 206 version of save the world it's a tutorial you can access in the submenu by holding down Central shift and D all the tutorial is is just gameplay footage of the beginning of the first episode culture shock as Sam and Max show you how to play the game and learn the controls although without the tutorial the game's controls are pretty easy to understand but it's still a cool thing that they added because Max who was played by Andre chyen in the first episode is now voiced by William Casten for the tutorial remember our motorcycle trip through the Midwest just you me and the authorities from seven states but don't were quiet a Time just you me and the authorities from seven states but those were quieter times the poker Knight series created by Tel involves you the player playing a game of poker with a variety of different characters featuring Sam and Max obviously but only Max being present in poker KN night one at the inventory with him tagging along with Sam in poker Knight 2 you also get to play with other Telltale characters too such as heavy from Team foress strong bag from Home Star Runner Tao from Penny Arcade Ash Williams from Evil Dead Brock Sansom from Adventure Bros clap trap from Borderlands and GLaDOS from Portal only making a cameo along with other characters when he start up the game there was also another poker Knight game too which was called Texas Holdem which isn't as popular as the two considering this was telltale's first ever video game but you're not playing with other Telltale characters these are completely random original characters but they did reuse the model of Boris crinkle for Leonard and salmon save the world so you can just imagine you're playing the game with Leonard although Texas Holdem is still available on Steam for only a dollar sadly there's no way for you to play pokker knite 1 or 2 anymore the games are still on Steam just unlisted no way for you to download them they're just there because of the copyright license of the characters going expired they had to delist the games but hopefully scum gake will consider remastering games like what they did with salmon max if they ever get the rights back we can only hope for the best and if skunk is being consider consider enough to do so but for now the only way for you to play the two games is to Pirate them on Steam unlocked if you're willing to take the chance but if you're willing to play Texas Hold them good for you just get used to the creepy 2005 render character staring down at [Music] you things are about to get a little upsetting I'll be discussing spoilers from Beyond The Alley of the dolls in the city that they not to sleep so if you want to skip this segment you can go to the next topic here at the end of 304 when Max uses his powers to destroy Charlie in the toy box after Plumbing to the ground and accidentally ingesting the demon seed he turns into an elder god throughout the final episode he is seen destroying New York City and with the help of Sam cibil paperweight and the others as an attempt to save Max but as cibil's water breaks into the floating Max has insisted on saving her Elder Max is plunged by a main Tron killing him but not before giving Sam one last way of goodbye before he teleports away Max although it's assumed that Max is dead that isn't the case after the credits we see the machine from Chariots of the dogs appear behind Sam with Max inside Max reveals that he's from an alternate universe or a past Max and it turns out the same thing happened to Sam in his timeline it's a depressing way to end the series but in the end it's better than Max being dead and Sam being alone all that matters is that the freelance BL her back together for more Adventures to come but we're not really done with the topic of alternate just yet this is a running joke in the Tomb of seon Mac where you talked to one of the mole people and she's tells you a series of jokes or riddles where the punchline always is cut the Cucumber things of [Music] eyes this is just a funny little inside joke for the community so it's nothing to discuss deeply well it's sort of important because this is an important clue that you need for one of the reals in 302 where samith and Maximus gets stuck in the 2D wall and you need to answer a question to the Riddle That statues ask you if you don't have the answer you'd practically be stuck there for eternity I won't get too much into it because that's a topic we'll discuss later on [Music] here's something many of you probably didn't know most of you would likey assume that sound mags were created by Stevie parcel alone but that's not the whole story yes they were created by Stevie parcel but they actually originated thanks to his younger brother Dave parcel Stevie made s Max DRS to make fun and annoy his younger brother making seven Max for all names and making fun of their epic Stevie invented an early concept of the main two characters through a comic about the detective team consisting of a dog and Hyper kinetic rabit and created sarcastic and World endings for the duo and their Adventures but Dave and Steve made it along as one day on Steve's birthday Dave made a birthday paron of hand wrting contract which allowed Steve to get the rights to sumon Ma and to draw the character that we all know to these days on the wrong side and the perspective wrong and and everything I could think of to make him irritated and ultimately that kind of developed into their own style of relating to each other and he lost interest in the characters and one year for my birthday he gave me a little document that said I could have the characters from that point on and uh and I ended up doing my own stories with those characters who knew that without day pass we probably never head and set next to begin with back in 2007 maula would create a little semat shorts there's a total of 15 shorts and they were all be found it is all found on YouTube I would recommend watching these if you're looking for more sem mask come to the beninge because they're really indit to watch no word problems no biting no pulling of the ears n she was asking for it in 2007 tto released one of the three episode of save the world the episode being it make the Must Die where Sam and Max traveled to Washington to make Max president nothing much to say about this one I just wanted to point out that there was a free episode to promote the [Music] game Steve pel once made a comic where Max basically died the comic would begin with Sam and Max fighting against a gang of criminals or one of the bullet strike Max in the ear killing him after Sam goes rapid wolf on the gang chasing them away we cut to him holding Max's semiconscious body until we cut to Max's vision and first person view as he slips into unconsciousness we then cut back to Sam who is lost without Max into to depressed to work and that's where the comic ends it's not much since there are only five known strips including the cover art it's unknown whether steeper s finished the comic or not but for now the comic strip of Max dying will likely remain unfinished there is tons of evidence that Max could be a masochist examples being me again I like it the pain is almost euphoric Sam it's simple Sam the red cable goes on the right nipple and the black cable clamps neither of us knows how to use them legally Max either these are just played up for Laughs or Max is just kinky like that it's up to [Music] you in the devious Playhouse we learn that Maxes a various of psychic abilities such as teleportation mind reading and Future Vision Max kind psychic abilities was never mentioned in the previous games but it was perhaps for Shadel in one of shs called cof in the sh Max had the power of telekinesis which wasn't present in the final game in the devil's Playhouse Max inherited the ability from one of the toys from the tie box or it could just be in his bloodline because of his great grandfa [Music] maxines in 2002 it was announced that Lucas Arts will working with a s Max video game and showcase it at 83 in 2003 it was intended to be a in squel to 7 max with the road bringing back the original voice actors Bill farmer and Nick Jameson the game would have been a simp quick Adventure game but used in a 3D game in J originally the game was supposed to released in early 2004 for the Windows PC but suddenly the game will announce its cancellation on March prb 2004 for now the only thing we have left of its existence are trailers promo Arts of the game and some screenshots the game has no intention of making the combat considering this to be the first ever Castell 7 max video game well not exactly we'll get back to that later yeah the ego and the super what the you know kids reputable Studies have shown that excessive exposure to fictional portrayals of violence can Le to acne gum disease and the Heartbreak of oh psoriasis isn't that right Max a he's so cute when he's unconscious if only he could stay this way forever oh all [Applause] right in the devil's Playhouse episode two there's a supposed glitch you can activate in the game causing you to get stuck in the 2D sequence with no way up after you Sav dragon and F for hisory you have to answer a ridle where you can only get the answer from one of the area reals when talking to the mall woman about the cutting TGA cber L wise joke and which is the correct answer in the riddle if you did the task in Saving J and without getting the answer you need then the correct option of for the ridd won't show up for you because you didn't do the whe in the right order so someone wouldn't know the answer and you might be asking why not just go back with the Els well there's no way for you to build back you're stuck in there like status say for eternity the only way to fix this problem is if you go back to a previous same file you forgetting gra so make sure you get the clues and answers you need for these FS otherwise you could just get permament stuck and have to replay the whole chapter all over again which would really suck but I guess now the status will have to listen to Maxim's shouts for eternity Give My Regards to Broadway back in 2010 T for2 reward with very suive item from s Max dev's playoff the item you could collect would be the big Kill likeor Max Sil head in Sam's hat though you could only get these items if you purchased Devil's playhouse on street before April 26th of 2010 now says it's 13 years ago these items cannot be attained more they could only be used for those who brought the game before the Deadlight so there's no way for you to Pur it IEX somebody who has the CH but if you do have this consider yourself lucky make sure you Cher [Music] it during ston Max's airings in 1997 to 1998 box kids would air a variety of salmon Max bumpers to promote the show handful you can watch online though not in the best quality it's a piece of nostalgic medium there's also a CGI ston Max commercial that featured only Max riding a roller coaster the reason Sam wasn't present was because Max was considered the mascot of the franchise during the time due to his notable appearance with his iconic toothy smile and he was the easiest to make on a CGI you AR ignorant to be afraid of most things right maxxe taking advantage of everything life has for offer they also had promos for the tell video games but those were nothing more than promotional trailers this is a picture of a recommended script change for the salmon Max cartoon for Steve Cel from Fox kids for the episode dysfunction of the Gods and reading through these cut jokes and segments is insane to look at these changes vary from Sam commenting on Zeus Slayer of Uranus Max's use of the phrase piss and moan Zeus drinking a cocktail and Sam inspecting a soiled mattress and sniffing it I swear this isn't easy for me to say with a straight face the only joke they managed to keep in the episode was Sam's comments on the way Newton impressionist and there was another cut joke including Hara where she was supposed to state that she was moving to the land of Lesbos and then it cuts to a chart where Max states that it's an actual place I'm not making these up if you think this episode was going to be wild just imagine the amount of things percel had to cut from other episodes too so this was likely a normal occurrence for him although I don't really understand why Sam sang the line I had a great response for that after the Uranus joke couldn't make it past the sensors but instead they allowed a 3-minute scene from the first episode to air without any issue it's baffling and it really sucks that they cut so many great jokes from this episode because some of them are absolute gold and I would have had me rolling but I understand why because some of these were not made for a Saturday morning kids cars I guess you couldn't get away with everything in the 9s in at 2007 San Diego Comic called somebody showed up with a homemade ssit with Max wrapped around his arm you can find the T photos and videos online and that's pretty much God God really killing me while some might find it a 6 foot tall of dog walking The Rock comic on kind of weird I honestly like it if I was there I would probably give it a big hug there was another s Max pry of the F police cartoon back in the 1970s or the 1980s this was a fox kids event where you can meet different Fox characters but that's all the information we've got at the moment since this is a new [Music] finding did you know that 305 had a different concept name during production in 305's commentary with the salon Max team they mentioned that 305 was supposed to be called slouching towards Brooklyn they made the change because they stated it was too pretentious the episode was originally called slouching towards Brooklyn but that was kind of a hard yeah it it was perhaps a bit too pretentious even for us to actually title our episodes so I haven't seen the Apocalypse Now 106 was also supposed to have a different name too formerly called from the jaws of certain [Music] Bliss how do I even explain this one somebody on Instagram way back in 20121 made a post saying that Max sounded a lot like angel dust from the character hasb been Hotel this would then turn into various posts in fan art people would make with Max as Angel just and even Sam as Cherry Bomb the creator of Vivy poop saw the is very supposed and decided to hop on ston Max hype train personally I don't really see a problem with it but most of the ston max Community didn't take it so well considering that Vivy has done some pretty controversial things in her past that I won't get into for now the salmon Max and has been Hotel a has since died down never to be revived again and hopefully it stays dead I'll save you H [Music] yeah this was a 10-second test animation for to cancel 2004 sammon Max game nothing else to say just a funny little cut [Music] scene you to brot the episode Abraham Lincoln must died there was a website called maxfor president. org it's pretty much nothing more than AET for Save the World which you can watch Clips on and see screenshots it be other characters obviously 7 bus even donate if that's real the website is an amazing part of the S history so I suggest at least checking it out but I do must warn you if you're going to check on the website Don't Go pass 2015 because you will see some um inw images so watch out this one is going to be a big topic I'll be discussing three voice actors from in ston Max Hil franchise from Andrew chiken Doug Boyd and William Caston along with the help of my other lovely voice actress take it away Mimi Andrew kren or kid beond was the voice of Max in the first episode of s Max he only voed Max in the first episode though he had to drop that due to being sick being replaced by William cashion who we will talk about the when are we going to get another case Sam surely the local law Breakers must miss our esoteric brand of personalized criminal justice if he has to drop out the position we would have we could have had the voice of Max throughout the tto games though was been know for the max temporary voice that to be a position in the show B is going by K be on as what I said he's a singer beat boxer and even does more f voice acting in other tatto games like Pony B from B boneville cwos and TS The Walking Dead TA from pokon one Casher will Su to make a combat s m Play House voicing the narrator paper write at one other the moment [Music] Doug boy was also a TA tale voice actor who worked on seven Maxs voicing one of the soda Pap specs a handful of the Christmas elves and the mommy Throne 9000 he also voiced the character Smiley bone from out from Bonville and a character from 2010 Back to the Future of theame though he wasn't that well known as an actor the s Community still remembers who found me unfortunately he experienced the UNAM death in 2021 in the age of [Music] 69 okay you have no idea how excited I am to talk about this one I was so excited that I wrote this script before getting started on the other ones like Mimi said before Willam [ __ ] was Chen's replacement after he had the drop role of Max Casten would then go on The Voice Max throughout the entirety of The Telltale Games even in pokon knite at the inventory but after that he would drop the role sending maxby voice currently by Dave boat but a little bit of History before we talk about Casten before they casted chyen as Max they almost gave the role of Sam and Max to David Nolan Sam's tell voice actor so if they didn't make any last minute changes Nolan could have been the voice of Sam and Max throughout all three games I also heard that it was talked about that they were going to bring Rob tinkler and Harvey Atkin back to voice salmon Max for The Telltale Games but I kind of forgot where I found the information I'll look for it but I'm glad they made the change to Salon Max being voiced by two separate people but now we know what Sam's Max impression sounds like okay back to Casten given that Casten was and still is pretty popular in the community and personally my favorite voice actor for Max along with Rob tinkler there is some m behind him being we don't know who he [Music] is if you search his name on Google there's no picture of him and Sh hardly no voice acting history no information about him at all and if you go to Max's Wiki you can see in the trivia section that William caston's name is a pseudonym meaning that's not even his real name or identity even Nolan never never met cast either because they were never in the same room recording their own lines also another bit of History sorry I've been going on a lot of tangents the only sammon Max voice actors who shared a booth together were only tinkler and Atkin from the cartoon everyone else including farmer and Jameson never recorded their lines together from what we know Caston voice acted in a show called Lego Hidden Side and apparently he had a minor voice acting role in a commercial back in 1997 in your head again that man's keeping it down Satan is good for now this topic Still Remains mystery among the community and even though I really like this topic and I would love to learn more about him we as a community should still respect his privacy because we're all human and we all have our boundaries even though it would be nice to get a face in proper credit for his amazing performance it's what he would have wanted and who knows maybe he still is out there somewhere or watching this video hopefully someday we'll solve this mystery but for now William Casten Still Remains a mystery the mix Caron Ser Bible was a pamphlet that came with the animated sonm DVD set it was notable for having the original design of the geek and future characters and Concepts even some that wouldn't make it in the final show and I know whenever you can buy it by itself but you can look it up online for free this was a pral video created by tto to promote the devis playhouse it's a two minute animation segment of skunk's origin you can watch the full animation on tell's YouTube channel or on new [Music] grounds during the production of save the world World apparently the soda peppers were supposed to be just two brothers spec and wizard instead of three the author of this Iceberg Co didn't really find any more informations about it beside the concept art and lack of people's Arts but yeah the soda peppers were supposed to be two brothers instead of cre started out as just Mechanics for puzzles they were just sort of people to be in your way in the first episode and uh we just wound up having a lot of a lot of traction with them we kept bringing them back episode after episode and uh kind of building them up more and more despite the objections of various [Music] people remember when we mentioned we weren't deal with the topic of alternate just yet well this is what I'll be talking about next there are two different endings to the devil's Playhouse the adventure ending and the crime fighting ending two endings depicting whether you chose wisely or poorly the crime fighting ending would mean that you chose wisely leading to a scene where Sam is sitting at the Statue of Liberty and then the time machine from 204 appears with Max inside of it pretty much the same thing I mentioned earlier with Max explaining that the same thing happened to Sam in his timeline before the two walk off to embark on another case choosing the adventure ending though would lead you into a different direction also apparently choosing the adventure ending means that you chose poorly I guess which doesn't make sense like the crime fighting ending but instead said Sam takes off his hat staring at the Statue of Liberty once again the time machine appearing behind Sam but this time Max isn't inside instead appearing behind Sam the scene would then play out as normal like the other ending but instead Sam and Max would step into the machine with Sam leaving his timeline to go with Max in another if I played the game without knowing there were two different endings I probably would have chosen the adventure one there isn't much of a difference anyway because I love both endings and the adventure ending just seems more Canon but depressing considering the fact that Sam would just straight up disappear from his timeline without Trace which could also mean the others would think he just died or something kind of dark when you think about it but again what wouldn't Sam and Max do just to be in each other's Embrace again the scene would then end with a zoom up on Sam's hat before Sam comes back to grab it again leave it with Max once more I was going to end the topic there but while doing my research I found out that there was another secret ending to the game I found this out thanks to snuck who helped me find more information and topics for this video when you're inside Maxx's you have to save Sam Jr from getting left behind doing this will prevent you from getting the crime fighting or Adventure ending option but after you save Sam Jr you get the third secret ending but it's nothing special really it's basically the adventure ending but Sam Jr comes along so I guess this means the adventure ending is the cannon [Music] ending did you know that salmon Max made minor appearances in other video games not physically more like homages in Easter eggs you can check out the salmon Max Wikipedia page and see video games that they were referenced in varying from Star Wars Indiana Jones the Monkey these games really deserve the proper credit in love like they should be and it's tooo bad the companies don't do this type of thing anymore and for season 3 if you bought the demo you get a little sources there's not much to say but if you have any info to add please comment down below I don't know if this is a proven fact but I like this Theory so I'm going to be discussing it there's a theory around the community that Max could be hiding so much more behind his manic personality even though Max is psychotic why is a cracking jokes and the worst possible scenarios and his questionable permanent record Max could be hiding some sort of depression in 305 when we meet Max's super ego who happens to be the narrator gives us a speech about wanting his pain in suffering to end symbolizing that Max or his unconscious mind tells him that he is worthless now he has has nothing to live for despite everything he's done so Suicidal Tendencies although it's nothing more than a sad angsty Theory I kind of like it it almost seems Canon to be fair but I also want to touch on another topic about Max's intellectual mind he think that Max could also be smarter than he seems and I like that theory too Max can read but he chooses not to which could mean that he's smart but just chooses not to show it like when we see a future ston m Max in 204 we see that old Max is the same but a little more mature and wise due the Sam's Amnesia State and in 305 would we enter Max's brain it's more sophisticated and cozy and erotic decor for someone who's so mentally sociopathic but it gives us a subtle hint that he could be more intellectual than he lets on only showing it when situations are serious I mean think about it if Max really was that psychotic he wouldn't have a job as a police officer noane person would ever think about giving Max a gun so maybe he has the intellectual potential to be in the police force or go with the obvious and say he did it because Sam was doing it in the salmon Max cartoon there was an episode that had to be pulled off the air due to how it aired in the present days the episode fools must die on Friday where Sam and Max had to stop Lauren from hijacking the Airship and crashing it into the Statue of Liberty with passengers on board you could even see them crashing into buildings as they tried to stop it from crashing into Liberty yeah you can see why this episode had to be pulled due to its subtle indications in a post 91 World they obviously had no intention on what the outcome would leave and cartoons and TV shows and news articles used to spoof this all the time so don't go saying this was some sort of conspiracy theorist prediction either this episode came out in 1998 3 years before the incident would happen and it's made clear why this episode had to be pulled but that won't be an issue because they don't show the show on television at all anymore also this isn't some sort of lost media thing either you can watch the full episode and its entirety online for free okay uh Max is a adult actor in this image um you can see a um series of closer backx though um I'm going to be talking about this one um right above back you can see what could be assessor by description description as a crew me of cing Max ideally as the Ser por Focus um stage films looking at the definition of stage films it would read a por f for white mini Comics created by the author themselves I don't get the whole summary of the comic I'm just going to take a huge shot in the dark and guess what's actually going on taking place after 305 Sam and Max return to Max's timeline after he abandons it in this timeline Sam is the one that has the superpowers Max inherited in season 3 then there are these things called space lorbs which were actually inherited from the 2001 plunge through space and time ston Max game a lot happens in this fanfic and I consider checking it out yourself because I can't be bothered to read it cuz there's just so much to the process if you understand the concept maybe do us all a favor and comment Down Below on what's going on and for the record if the author is watching this I am in no way of insulting or making fun of you maybe you did a good job even though others might disagree I wouldn't know because I haven't read it the Art's also surprisingly well done you can read the comic for not have informations about that if it's true or not this was an old ask blog somebody made on Tumblr back in the early 2010s that had fans ask questions for salmon Max villains and antagonist created by stinky Diner on Tumblr but also going by I'm going to butcher the name so it's just going to be on the screen who told me about their blog apparently this blog was really popular but I never heard about it until this point I did my research on his blog to find out what it was about and saw that the old blog was sadly deleted so going back and looking at all the old blogs isn't possible anymore sorry for your loss but the creators back to answer more questions I suggest checking them out because their art is really good and they deserve some recognition and I love the idea of people asking questions to Sam and Max villains this person actually helped me find more information for my Iceberg because looking through all their Old Post and blogs I found so many new topics that I could include and talk about like unused audio which I will talk about soon so make sure to check out their Tumblr account and show them support founded by cyber battle solo on Twitter is an interview where the production team of tell suggests that Sam and Max be grinding on each other during the night of the raving dead ironically Steve Cel was the one who didn't like this idea and ordered it to be changed favorite part was the dancing I just I think I went a little too far with that that was I like how much Steve pcell did not like that Sam Max were freaking your oh yeah there's a uh over the night of the raving dead you can see uh SX might be grinding up yeah it's getting a little Cleve requested that we blurred that out a lot more than it originally was turns out it wasn't made to be put in the actual game but instead it's trailer which Steve actually requested to be blurred I find it really funny how Sam and Max got away with so much even in the cartoon but Steve prell ordered the grinding move to be taken out immediately it's probably for the best [Music] anyway in season 2 commentary the C C up an incident where gam tap accidentally released the alpha build of mawai Better Blues on launch day instead of its finished product of course it was a simple mistake but they also mentioned in the commentary that some fans actually managed to finish the whole chapter even with the bugs and missing Graphics was that was that when the uh was that puzzle still in the bad build that game tab put out it was yeah the um this episode uh there was an alpha build that um somehow accidentally ended up in game's client on launch day and uh people uh some people noticed because they were just missing graphics and the title sequence was all screwed up and so people noticed it and reported it but um before they were able to pull it down some people actually did play the whole thing and my favorite we actually got an email from somebody or he posted in the forums that it was like yeah you know I was just I was thinking that there were really a lot of bugs in the game and I was kind of surprised but I didn't actually realize until the end uh when I got to the part where it said insert end credits here it was actually wrong with it takes a hardcore fan to play an entire he like Ah that's Telltale you guys are really falling asleep on the job now that's some real dedication and honestly I want to play the alpha [Music] 2o did you know that the 20047 ma game wasn't the first console game project in 2001 Stevie parel and his team announced at some Max game where they will be go into the space sort of like a Star Trek parody the game would have been s Max having to recover the Statue of Liberty in another galaxy until being taken to another world where everyone and everything disembl Max this game was going to be made for the Next Generation console B the Xbox but never went farther than a conso art given that parcel had a lot of adventurous ideas for the game suddenly it announced its cancellation a year later in 2002 replace it with an aent game causing the companion to go bankrupt maybe they will have made more money if they just stick with playhous to introduce the new generation iPad to promote the game and its reg it was only a NE for limited time and only if you bow the iPad when it released of course now since it was 3 years ago the game is no longer avable on App Store considering it as a lot media before or and Discord music found 301 game on AR RG EA collection by accident back in 2011 to promote the devil's Playhouse full release Tel and Netflix partnered up to create a bundle deal that if you sign up for Netflix around the time of March to April 2011 you would have gotten the devil's Playhouse for free if you signed up for a Netflix trial during that time I can can not make this up this was a real thing that happened for a limited time nearly 13 years ago I mean just looking at this looks like a [ __ ] virus apparently development during the dev stous was very difficult after season 2 they decide to go in a different direction and switch to a new enine from the previous two games changing the enin me enhan of graphics character redesign and during the production of the game they wanted to add more environments and things to do but due to all these changes and assets the game was very hard to sustain making the game luggy and unexpectly crushing at certain points most assets had to be delated and platform the final game to make it in any way possible playable one of the assets That was supposed to be removed was the DU s frog Beyond The Ally of the dolls originally added at the last second the team almost decided against putting with the game because they know it had no really events but I decided to keep it and turn out to be one of their favorite areas in the game this environment I think uh we talked for a while about cutting it or something because it was like oh we don't have time to build a dock environment and then uh it was built super on the cheap but it end up being like one of the one of the coolest environments in a way and then we here we finally reveal Mr s to but now in 2024 they still having trouble with creating season 3 so that season 3 REM had to be delayed from 2023 to 2024 and because back in 2010 they used a different engine for the game which no longer exist they pretty much to have to remake and replace everything from one engine to the other they need to use an they have been using for the past three mons with the new Master models from season 1 and two and all season three models from the old day so we have to wait a little while longer before getting the master game to [Music] down there's apparently a whole bunch of unused audio recordings from the dev Playhouse you can find in the files of the game you can also go online and search for Telltale Explorer to get the app and get an access says to listen to these [Music] files referring back to what I said about unused audio files Apparently one of the narrator's unused audio files indicated that 305 was supposed to be a musical chapter of some sort of the bizar tonight's story a delightfully maab tale ripped from the Case Files of Sam and Max a story of psychic power turned to psychic horror but this story is told not with words but with music a free form Jazz Odyssey if you will to the borders of human imagination held up briefly at the customs of rational thought although there isn't enough information to back that theory up for all you musical theater fans we definitely lock down on what could have been but it's fascinating to imagine how things could have gone if it was a musical like would they have been singing their lines Throughout the chapter it would have just been a musical with musical numbers either way it would have been a really cool thing to see if they would have gone with what they intended founded by donut button on Twitter but also going by squiggle who helped me find information on this topic back in the '90s fox kids had a radio station called the fox kids countdown where kids could vote on songs they would want to hear on the station they would advertise movies upcoming projects and have featured guest stars the station would also play theme songs into the mix between other songs as well salmon Max being one of the theme songs only playing three times in October [Music] 1997 check it out man it's a fox kids double play with our two newest Saturday shows space goose and salmon Max guess you never would have imagined salmon Max be played on the radio they would also have Fox Kids characters host the shows or commentate during the songs one of them includ including Slappy Squirrel from Animaniacs but while doing research I found something really interesting apparently salmon Max made an appearance on the station except for the theme they would commentate on the song My Heart Goes On by Selen Dion a song that was topping the charts around the time the Titanic came out we don't have any video footage or audio of this we only know of its existence thanks to a YouTube comment from one of the fox kids promos this find means that there could be more Rob tinkler and Harvey Atkin Salon Max interactions out there like the Lost behind the scenes footage but since we don't have any physical evidence except people who saw it or heard it during the time of its airing this find for now is salmon Max lost media [Music] possibly apparently this is some fan art somebody made of salmon Max as beus and Butthead I found this in the Discord chat and I literally could not find any more information on it so yeah sammon Max and be and but everyone there's also some salmon Max fan art of them as AIS in Jack Frost which I also can't [Music] explain this is a stone drawing of s Max and uh I'm going to butcher it Keck Church in England and C Pell actually created a uh comic to get place in the same church whatever it's uh this is a before we knew about the St of just coincidentally choose the right place or this was after we and super I want to com make referencing it there wasn't much information on this if you know just leave them in the [Music] comments over the past hour we have discussed many topics onest Iceberg and I can't believe we are on the last topic and since this is the last topic of course it's going to be the longest and the craziest stick with me there is a theory about salmon Max and whether or not the media franchise goes a certain way or the timeline perhaps since it's made obvious that hit the road was their very first game the cartoon coming in second The Telltale Games coming out in third this time it's virtual coming out as their fourth game and them making cameos in the Pok knite games it's pretty obvious there's a standpoint on the timeline but somebody created a theory about their timeline going in a different way a more convoluted way than we think let me explain let's say The Telltale Gam came first in a timeline from Save the World to the devil's Playhouse somebody created this Theory because well in the first three games St and Max seemed more like friends instead of being together yes they often made inuendos about them being in a relationship but they often shut it down or brush it off and yeah sure you don't have to look too much into it they're jokes it wouldn't matter 5 seconds later that's the franchise they tell a joke and forget about it but I watched Super Mario 64 analysis video on the devil's Playhouse and Sam having a possible love interest in which I really recommend watching because they made a lot of good points like how at the end of 301 when the narrator asked a bunch of questions and statements one of them being Sam's possibility of finding true love that could have been a throwaway joke but think about it who does Sam spend all his time with Max maybe the devil's Playhouse was supposed to be a love story but it's very subtle and you could say that girl stinky could have been his love interest because of the kiss but I don't believe it and I don't think any of us do either Max should be the one he should be with not saying that because of shipping wise they just make sense at the end of The Telltale franchise Sim and Max finally accept each other and realize they need each other in their lives and go on to form a lovey relationship and that's their story building a new bonding relationship after that the two can be seen together during poker night 2 Sam dropping subtle hints about marriage and his possible relationship saying that he was off the market or going off in the time machine to embark on another adventure but you may be asking how does this fit with the timeline where does hit the road com in what about the cartoons if the timeline really went in a different way then why did they clearly make '90s pop culture references in the cartoon and in hit the road if it was clearly made in the 9s if they would reference that stuff and mybottle for that remember they still do have a time machine if you choose the adventure ending in season 3 they begin using it so maybe they went back to the '90s and stayed there which leads into the cartoon and hit the road the '90s is when they started to get more popular and begin their franchise sure that would mess up the flow of time but it's salmon Max nothing would make sense also around the cartoon era is when they start making jokes and subtle hints about them being in a relationship next in the timeline would be in hit the road where they were much older and still kicking it as policemen and dropping subtle hints about them being in a relationship but that's kind of it for the timeline this timeline is weird and you don't have to believe me because it's as crazy as it sounds but I think it's clever it also explains their relationship and their voice changes and yeah the voice changes are because of different actors but here's my take on it in my opinion Sam and Max sound a little younger in The Telltale versions around their mid-30s that's a weird way to justify Theory but let me explain over the past few years Sam and Max have had different variations of voice actors that could mean because they're getting older because in hit the road they sound a little bit older maybe around their mid-50s not calling them old you know what I'm saying but basically the timeline would go like this The Story begins with Telltale throughout the first two games save the world and Beyond time and space they were just really good friends but the tension was there in season 3 after everything that happened they begin to start a new relationship together realizing they can travel whenever they want they decide to jump around play a little bit of Poker while blossoming their new found love for each other after getting older they decid to settle down get married in the '90s where they meet the geek and take her in as their own before heading into hit the road where they're more older and still lovey doy like they always will this timeline stuff is crazy and you don't have to believe me me just saying it sounds crazy as I try to explain it but at the end of the day that's just a [Music] theory and that's it for the iceberg this is such a fun project to do and I'm so sorry it took so long to come out
