The RC Car Horizon Hobby Won't Sell Us!! Why? 1969 Losi Camaro Drag Car

so take yourself back to your childhood whenever that was think about coming up to christmas and there was that one thing you wanted that one toy or that one computer game or that one thing that you wanted you wrote it on your letter to santa and then there was that long wait till christmas to see what was under your tree in the morning you'd wake up christmas morning there'd be a box with your name on it under the tree and it was about the right size for what you'd asked for tear it open with excitement and yeah it was nothing like you put on your list to santa well horizon hobby that is exactly how i felt when you released this 22s lossy no prep drag car and then i found out that we weren't getting it in the uk what's up guys welcome to the channel today's video we've got this 1969 chevy camaro from losi as a no prep drag car it looks absolutely awesome and you can't buy it in the uk so i've had to get this one from all the way over the pond in the united states of america support the troops god bless america but it's here now we're gonna get out of the box we're gonna have a look at it and then we're gonna take it out and give it a run and see how good it is so 1969 camaro from losi no prep drag car this thing looks amazing i've got the summit racing edition also comes in a really nice blue the specs are really good for the set up on it so let's get it out this box let's get on the bench and have a closer look this is definitely the best looking drag car out of the box i reckon you can possibly get i'm a big fan of the dr-10 from team associated that looks really nice as well this one just looks a little bit more scale like size wise it's not quite as not quite as wide and sort of out of proportion look how nice it looks what a beautiful thing mickey thompson tires front and rear that is probably one of the best views of it let's take the body off and see what is packing underneath so i managed to get this off of ebay from a store in the us and the good thing about ebay is their international shipping program whoa it's got lights it's got lights lights front and rear they're going to look so cool anyway the ebay international shipping program is pretty good this only cost me i think it was like 25 to ship to the uk which is under 20 pounds and all in i got this all in for about i think it's about 400 pound which for you guys out there is 500 dollars so definitely more expensive than you guys can get it out there but i don't think that's a bad deal considering you can't get them in the uk and if they were for sale in the uk they would definitely be around the 400 to 450 pound mark i reckon every angle you look at this it just looks so good so it comes with all the usual stuff a few tools like a wheel hex allen wrench there some stickers instructions got the slt3 uh transmitter from spectrum so no avc on this which is correct because you can't use avc in no prep drag racing and i may be wrong but the drag slash has tsm which you can switch off but that's still not allowed anyway what we got here really nice wheels oil shocks quite stiff up the front there they've actually got some bump stops in there to stop that rear squat in too much a little tire rod there for i guess that is that just here so you can adjust your wheelie bars cool waterproof servo under there i don't know what strength it is then yeah spectrum firmware 100 there so this accepts the smart batteries from spectrum which i would probably not recommend because they're expensive and i wouldn't say they're actually any more beneficial in a good quality lipo and this is where the magic is 6500 kv that is an awesome setup for a no-prep drag car because you can only run them 2s if you want to actually do no drag racing the higher kv you can get that motor along with your gearing it's going to make all the difference and from what i've seen of this it's going to be pretty quick out of the box all adjustable up front so adjustable camber and tone again adjustable camber at the back the arms i mean it's not the ideal configuration to have your drive shafts at that angle but it does give it that low stance anyway that is enough chat about this let's charge a 2s lipo up let's go and give it a rip now quite often i take stuff out and do 2s and 3s runs i'm sticking with 2s for this i think on 3s it's going to be too much especially for a 6500kv motor so i'm going to run it properly as you should 2s lipo obviously no stability and stuff let's go and see what this can do on the 132 foot passes this is a gsm-020 from skyrc and you can measure distance on this as well as speed and height so we can set it naught to 132 feet get our scale quarter of a mile time we'll also do a speed run right then let's get this thing ready but his choice of batteries is 4 900 kv 120 c from china hobby line nice shorty pack plenty of punch fits perfectly in there and as if they've made it to fit the sky rc uh gps in there as well fits perfectly between the battery tray and the survey i don't know how well this comes out on camera guys but this thing it just looks absolutely insane so good looking it just oh look at it look at it so i guess the first thing we got to do is a speed run let's see how fast this thing goes it should be pretty fast with that 6 000 whatever kb it was a forgotten motor in it let's make sure it's going straight first yes it is very fast remember this is 2s guys that is nice right whoa minor body oh already look [Music] so i put some tape on there and it's already rubbed through the body ah that's annoying very annoying maybe the body's too low as it comes out the box it just looks so good oh well 48 mile an hour not bad right then let's do the first pass so when you set your drag up to go to distance naught's 132 feet i've measured out 132 feet get these tires warm first pass here we go that is nice nice and straight plenty of power impressed wow that was very good oh straight into the twos straight out of the box straight into the two 2.9 i think my modified dr10 got 2.8 i think stock the dr10 on 2s is only four seconds that is quick i think we could improve on that but at 1.3 g hooked up really well oh a little bit squirrelly off the line there yeah three seconds you're not quite as quick yeah that felt good what we saying yeah 2.85 i think that's the fastest i'm going to get today that is good straight out the box 2.8 that is crazy it's pretty much getting to terminal speed and look nearly 2g there that was a good launch that was a very good one [Music] of life so just to wrap this video up this thing is absolutely unbelievable out the box i don't think that there's anything really negative i can say about it apart from one thing and that is how easy it rubs through the body and i mean as you can see i put like some insulation electrical tape i put it i put it at the front as well there's a little bit of wear there the rear really bad if that's the only thing i can say negative about this then what does that tell you about this thing it is absolutely awesome come on horizon get it released in the uk i'm sure people will buy it you
