hi welcome back to scripture explorers I'm James  I'm Arya and I'm sty and we're the scripture   explorers hi Mormon you said we were done with  the book of Jacob last time yeah what book are   we starting today today we're actually going to  cover several books what is it going to be a long   lesson not at all actually after the writings  of Jacob there wasn't much written for a while   there's a series of little books that are each  only one chapter oh that is short after I had   put together most of the plates of gold I found  a little set of plates that I thought should go   in the book it contained the writings of several  prophets and Kings many of the words you've heard   that Nephi wrote were there too these plates also  taught us about Enos the son of Jacob who we'll   talk about today. Enos had grown up learning  from Jacob that heavenly father wants us to be   happy and he taught us the things that we need  to do to be happy but Ena still had a lot of   questions so one day enus went into the forest  to hunt but instead he decided to pray he then   prayed for a long time maybe even a whole day  that's a long prayer it is a very long prayer   and as he was praying heavenly father told him  his sins were forgiven and he answered a lot of   questions for enus enus wanted the lamanites to  learn the things that Jacob had taught him how   to be happy and follow heavenly father he was  told that these things would come to pass and   the lamanites would one day learn all the things  that enus hoped they would so his prayers were   answered yes and heavenly father will answer  our prayers too it doesn't always mean that   we will get what we want but it does mean that  he loves us and will bless us when we pray in faith
