now I got to teach you the greatest posture in negotiation and the greatest posture in negotiation should start the very first time you speak to somebody either on the phone or when you sit down with them perhaps a third place of work now what slight indifference means is I'm committed to helping you but I'm not attached to it you see if we can make the customer with a prospect feel like they won't break your heart if they're honest with you guess what you'll get in return you'll get honesty from them now there's three things you should always start your presentation with whether it's on the phone or in person first thank the prospect for their time they're giving us time on the phone or in person should we thank them for it next think about what most prospects think salespeople are going to do with the prospects time they think we're gonna waste it so we have to take this fear away in these simple words allow that to happen say this again thank you for your time and then we go I know your time is important and I want to make the time you're giving me as quick and as valuable as possible and I can do it just by asking a few quick questions now think about what I'm doing there I'm telling them the vehicle to saving them time is by asking them a few quick questions now we've all had sales presentations where we start asking too many questions and the customer says no no no no just show me what you've got well think about why they do that they do it because they think your questions or a tool of manipulation of the top salespeople they won't play your game but by saying hey I know your time is valuable and I want to make this as quick and as valuable as possible I can do which is by asking you a few quick questions think about what we're telling them it's in your best interest to answer the questions so that we can save time and then the third component of a great greeting is this if you believe we have a solution let's talk more if not thank you anyways for at least giving us a look you see and that tells them that hey I hope things go well here if you believe we've got a solution great if not thanks anyways for having me what a nice posture what a nice tone to set for that prospect and if somebody said that to me you know what I'd say great I'm not gonna break this person's if I say no to them which means again I will give them honesty and it also tells me you're not gonna push me it also tells me if you're going to ask me some questions I understand why you're doing it it's because we want to make this quick and valuable for both of us so remember slight indifference will be your tool and your very next sales call be it on the phone or in person and use those three things and for today I want to thank you for your time because I know your time is valuable and I'm not going to ask you a few quick questions but if you love precise selling a believe we have a solution you know where to find me and that's WWE si selling calm go on out have a great week selling
