it's official I have found the absolute best credit cards that exist whether you have no credit your bankrupt or you're becoming a millionaire or you want to join the journey of becoming a millionaire and now this time especially I'm gonna have to ask you to smash that like button because a lot of research went into coming up with that list in fact the research was so profound I almost paid for a subscription to the American research journal to submit my research and officially have my first published study so welcome to the journey to an 850 credit score and being a millionaire using the best credit cards ever here we go what's up everybody it is meet Kevin today we are talking about credit cards and you might be thinking to yourself wait a minute Kevin you usually talk about getting deals as a real estate investor or being an awesome real estate agent and yeah that is true in fact in less than two weeks I'll be in Chicago hosting a real estate investing crash course myself hope to see you there and you'll get to meet Kevin and that's open to anybody no matter what your experience a level is so but in order to buy real estate you need credit generally in order to build this net worth so that you can retire early and have passive income you need assets and an easy way to get there is using credit and your credit score to your advantage that's why it's about time that we make a video on this channel talking about my top favorite credit cards whether you got absolutely no credit at all because you're bankrupt or you never started building credit or you're already a millionaire maybe you've already got credit established if you don't have these particular credit cards the odds are you're missing out now before we get into my favorites let's make sure you have these four assumptions right and number one don't carry balances on your credit card you do not need to carry balances to build your credit score please please please don't pay those high interest rate fees pay off these credit cards every single month I know sometimes it can be exciting like oh well there's an introductory offer yeah well that debt sneaks up on you pretty fast and then you start paying fees to transfer just pay off your credit cards every single month keep your credit cards open especially your favorite ones because you're going to build an amazing credit history with those and you don't want to eradicate those by closing the accounts but make sure you don't forget about the cards try to keep cards that you do and using at least once a month so that way you make sure you keep making that payment and you don't all of a sudden end up with like oops forgot about that card forgot there was a balance all of a sudden my score dropped 100 assumption number 3 this video is not designed for credit card at churner so so I'm not super jazzed about short-term credit card benefits at least not in this video this video is going to revolve around a lifetime of credit cards and the best ones for you to have right now those might change in the future but for now these are the amazing ones that you should strive to again and we're gonna go through the journey from starting to the best and number 4 I know at least 5% of you amazing people have done this please hit that like button credit card number 1 and this is the credit card you go to when you seriously can't qualify for any other credit card not only is a secured card but it is probably the easiest to secured card to actually get approved a for which is crazy because it's like way do you have to get approved for a secured card yeah I don't understand why but anyway it is the Capital One secured MasterCard it's got no fee but you're not getting anything out of this other than building credit and when it's secured it means you actually have to give Capital One money before you could spend it so it's kind of like you're spending your own money but it lets you build credit now it does give you the benefits of zero fraud liability and the ability to monitor your credit score which is great because as soon as you get your credit score up a little bit you want to get the heck away from this card keep it open pay it off whatever you do do not carry a balance on this card the interest rate is usually like a twenty seven plus percent which just to give you a little bit of relativity if you had $100 balance on this card it would double the amount that's due in under three years I think it's like two years and ten months that hundred dollars would become two hundred dollars in debt because the interest rate is so high it's insane don't carry Balance number two once you get out of a purgatory that is having a credit card that gives you very very little over at the accountant once secured card I want you to graduate to the discover it card my hope is that most of you are going to be able to qualify for the discovery secured card right away and you could skip step on one usually you can see which cards are going to be easiest to qualify for by which have the lowest introductory interest rate and that Capital One mastercard Sigurd that like whoa 27% that's it same you'll see that this one's closer to 25% which is still totally ripoff and you still should not pay a dime of interest but it's not a bad way to start because guess what this is going to be the first card you're actually going to get cash back on you get 1% back on pretty much everything there's some categories like restaurants and gas where you'll actually get 2% back by the way good trick for you when you have these credit cards I really recommend you take a label maker and on the back of your card just have a small little label that tells you what category you get what percent back in so I might do 1% everything 2% gas / dine and that'll be a nice little tell for me so that if I'm ever at a store or a restaurant and I'm looking at my wallet going I which one was it again I can make that quick decision because usually especially once you start getting more credit cards it becomes pretty easy to forget and then you just keep using one card and you leave some money on the table which remember I do not like leaving money on the table now something else that's really cool about the Discover it's secured card is they'll actually double your cash back that you earn the first year that you have the card this is why you really want to get out of that Capital One no benefits secured card move on over to this ASAP now I do like this card way better than something like the Amazon secured card mostly because I really don't want to see people with secured cards splurging on Amazon I think if you're starting out with a secured card saving money and building a net worth in a portfolio is a high priority and having the Amazon card and having that psychological impact of while I get five percent off on my Amazon purchases it this is just not the right time and place to to be doing that it's fine you know if you've got a business you're spending money on Amazon but to start out with a secured card on Amazon I think is a big mistake you'll end up probably you know digging yourself into a hole pretty dang fast wait until you graduate to the next cards just my opinion now some of you might be lucky enough to be able to start with a number three number three this is absolutely my favorite card I think every single human being should have this card look if you're anti debt and anti credit cards I get it but you should still have this card because it's freaking awesome and gives you a lot of Awesome benefits just like I say pay it off every single month you don't have to love credit cards to have credit cards just have them because they're amazing tools and here it is it is the city double cash and I put this on my little white board here mostly because I thought it was really cool then they kind of flop around like this but also because I wanted to show off that I have two of them to evidence to you how much I love this card now you might be thinking yourself oh well Kevin you just have you know two because you just requested a duplicate card no I love this card so much and I'm about to tell you why but I love it so much that I actually have a personal one that's under my social security number so it's my bank account number with a city and then I because they don't actually have really good business cash back credit cards I have Lauren my wife under her Social Security number open a Citi double cash and that's the one we label for business expenses so that way they're totally separate accounts but that way I get 2% back on all my personal stuff and 2% back on all my business stuff so I already burst the bubble as to what the biggest Redemption reward is for this card but it is 2% cash back there's also a no annual fee and know that you get some pretty cool protections as well in addition to the typical kind of fraud protections that you get you this purchase protection for up to $10,000 it's insane so in other words like let's say you ordered a laptop from Apple and UPS left it at your door and somebody stole it city would cover you up to $10,000 for a damage or theft for any product that you bought with the city double cash card that's absolutely insane they also have return protection which gives you up to $500 of return protection if you buy something you don't like it and they won't take it back I believe that's good for up to 90 days so for example let's say you bought some Beats headphones over at Apple and then like 31 days in you're like I these and apples like 30 days I'm by you can't return them anymore they would cover you on that return now note they do have some exceptions on things they won't cover you on one of them was animals so if you buy an animal or like a fish no you can't return it and use this perk and another cool perk is a city will extend your warranty by another 24 months as long as the original warranty was under three years not really sure why they have that limitation but an extra two years of a warranty not bad it's kind of a cool way to solve problems in case things break and your warranty's expired it's also a cool way to save money on warranties so let's say you go buy a TV at Best Buy and you're thinking should I buy the extended warranty or not slap it on your city double cash you got the manufacturer's warranty which is usually good for one year and then you get that extended by two years with the credit card at absolutely no cost to you so not only did you get 2% back on your TV purchase but you're also getting a built in extended warranty I personally think that's pretty awesome now number four almost didn't make it on to the list but it has a double purpose as to why this particular card is taking spot number four it is the chase ink business cash credit card this credit card has a no annual fee and one of the reasons I really like it it might not be what you're thinking is actually that it's a great way to sneak in a credit card relationship with Chase this is really really important because Chase has some really epic credit cards and we're about to hit the other ones that really matter but if you get sort of Trojan horse your way into getting a Chase credit card by applying for a business credit card even if it's for your side hustle your Etsy store whatever it can be a great way to sort of build that relationship with a Chase now usually these credit cards are linked to your personal social security number and not your business's which is okay because we really want to grow your personal credit score anyway and we want that relationship with Chase now once you have the chase relationship there is still a reason to keep this card and it's a major perk that I think is oftentimes a left out when it comes to credit cards the bottom line is all of us spend money on Internet services some of us spend money on cable services and all of us spend money on cellphone services that's gonna be like your AT&T phone bill or possibly even not sure about this but if you got one of those loans for your phone possibly that bill as well see the Inc business cash credit card gives you five percent of back at categories that include cable internet and phone services and in my opinion we all spend money on that anyway if let's say you spend three hundred dollars per month on everything combined cable internet house phone cell phone everything a together you know your loan for your phone whatever it's all bundled together every single month you're getting cash back of fifteen dollars and these are easy services you could literally put on auto pay I actually don't keep this credit card in my wallet because the only thing I use it for is auto pay on cable phone and Internet that's it because I want to milk that five percent I haven't seen any other car to give that benefit and so I really encourage you to get this with zero annual fee and a Trojan horse to get into that chaise realm of credit cards it's a great way to start your relationship and milk 5% money you're spending anyway number five I want you to graduate to the chase freedom credit card keep that chase ink card for all of those expenses we talked about but next you really want that cash back Chase freedom credit card not only is there no annual fee but it is going to give you five percent off on these revolving categories this is a little bit of a headache because it requires you kind of track with the categories are usually what I got in the habit of doing is again I take that label maker and I'd put on the back of the credit card at the beginning of each year I put q1 q2 q3 and I'd put what the reward is for that category so that way when I'm standing at the gas station and I'm trying to evaluate okay it's March do I use the Chase Freedom Card to get 5% back on gas or is it not five percent category month instead am I gonna use the double cash and get my two percent back the label making will save your life in scenarios like this and when I say save your life I mean save you an additional 3% in cash back now remember Chase credit cards are notoriously hard to get into at first that's why I recommend you start with like the discover it and kind of work your way up get that ink card it's associated with a business sometimes a little bit easier to get started there then get into the Freedom Card to milk that 5% back now remember this cash comes back to you as cash back but it can also be transferred to get you as much as seven and a half percent of back so keep the cash back stay tuned for a moment and I'll explain to you how we're gonna get to seven and a half percent cash back another cool thing about the chase freedom is if you do sign up they are running a special right now and this is totally a not a sponsored video I just see it here on their website they say after you spend $500 on purchases in your first three months after you open the account you'll get $150 bonus I highly recommend you don't spend the $500 on a junk that you don't need just put your regular spend on it like your grocery spend or whatever maybe the five percent off category is at the time and I try to redirect some of your expenses through that credit card so now you've broken into Chase and you've got your Chase Inc card you've got your chase a Freedom Card you've got your double cash you are milking a cache of back between two to five percent on everything that you're spending money on now it is time to reach the apex level of credit cards you may be surprised a lot of you could probably qualify for this card right now and I highly recommend everybody have it if there are two cards anybody should have it is the city double cash card and this card the Chase Sapphire a reserve card absolutely everybody should have this card over things like the American Express Platinum Card or all of these other fancy cards that make you feel special make you feel a lead or luxury I'm not a big fan of a lot of those cards because usually the benefits for those cards are really convoluted look at for example the Marriott bond void I basically had this argument with my dad the other day where he's like I got the Marriot bond for I'm like why it's like well I got seventy thousand points I go what does that get you and I look on their website and like one night in a hotel is like thirty five thousand points each point is worth like point zero zero seven cents like it's it's so small and relative to these other cards where things are simple not so convoluted I much prefer simple and easy this isn't to say that there aren't better cards than the Chase Sapphire Reserve but the benefits of this are pretty incredible watch this first things first our classic cash back you're going to get three percent off on dining and three percent on travel now I highly recommend you do the same thing here and put that label making to use a slap on the back of that card a dining and a travel three percent always use this accept my card doesn't actually say three percent on the back I put four and a half percent on the back here's why you get three percent back if you take it in the form of cash back but remember how I said when you have that Chase Freedom Card or in fact even the chase ink card where you're getting that cash back at five percent for internet or that five percent in those freedom categories and I told you not to use that cash back well here's why whatever points you gather on Chase credit cards be it the chase ink the chase freedom the Chase Sapphire you can combine these points and transfer them all over to the Sapphire card now when you transfer the points over to Sapphire and you spend them on a flight a hotel a rental car or any kind of form of travel that you booked through the chase ultimate reserve a website guess what happens you get 50 percent bonus points so to make this really really easy think about it this way if you're going to take your chase freedom cashback that five percent cash back or that five percent from the ink card think of it like getting seven and a half percent back if you use the money towards any kind of travel I'm not talking about specific airline specific rental cars or specific hotels any kind of travel it's seven and a half percent back that's absolutely insanity the same is true for the actual reserved car where you're doing 3% back on a travel or dining expenses add 50% to those it's kind of like you're getting four and a half percent back on any flights you're spending money on any restaurants you're spending money on it's great so all of a sudden if you have these three chase credit cards you're actually getting four and a half to seven and a half percent back on all of your expenses for dining internet phone cable the categories on the freedom your travel that's insane and your points start adding up like crazy and guess what happens when you add up all these points you get free airfare free hotels and come on free airfare and hotels that's what I'm all about I travel a lot so I milk these rewards all the time I love it and so should you now the Chase Sapphire card does come with an annual fee it's technically $450 but because they're gonna waive the first 300 dollars of that be it for uber rides or hotel stays or flights as long as you travel at least once a year it really goes down to a net cost of about $150 per year to have this card in addition to that there are no foreign transaction fees so while some of these other credit cards have foreign transaction fees this is the one you want to be using on all your travel expenses anyway now here's some other cool perks to this card anytime you rent a car somewhere Chase Sapphire Reserve actually recommends that you don't sign up for any of the car rental insurance instead as long as you decline all of the insurance from the car rental agency chase through the Chase Sapphire reserve we'll give you an insurance so that if you damage your vehicle you could just put a claim in through the credit card also have you ever been worried about your flight getting delayed and all of a sudden you have to spend a night in an airport well Chase Sapphire Reserve will give you up to $500 if your flight gets delayed or canceled more than 12 hours which is pretty awesome because I'll tell you I can get an epic hotel for $500 and I'm gonna use every freaking penny of that and I'm gonna turn this delay into a celebration now another thing that happens to me when I'm traveling is because I always bring around camera gear I'm always freaked out that I'm going to lose expensive cameras and the cool thing about that is they will cover you for $3,000 for any kind of lost baggage now I know that might only replace like one camera but it is a lot of peace of mind to have at least a $3,000 coverage for lost baggage a really cool bonus last thing you know when you check out for a flight and they want you to opt into trip insurance and it's always like fifty or a hundred bucks extra just to have trip insurance and they always have that little thing that says like five thousand people have recently chosen to have trip insurance and it kind of like guilt you into having trip insurance well if you get sick or you can't make it because there's bad weather or something crazy happens the Chase Sapphire reserve will actually cover you with up to ten thousand dollars of a reimbursements for flight cancellations or weather or you got sick or you broke a bone or whatever in the event you cannot make your actual trips another really really cool perk so you can really see here the Chase Sapphire Reserve is a no brainer yeah it's gonna cost you a hundred fifty bucks but just for the fact that it makes the rewards points you're getting on the Chase Freedom and Chase Inc worth 50% more should make this card the biggest baddest card ever it's amazing and everybody should have it honestly the only two credit cards you really ever need at this point are the Chase Sapphire Reserve and the city double cash card and I just want to touch on specialty credit card so you can see here that yes I have a banana republic credit card I have since closed this account and I have this Macy's credit card actually says cardholder since 2011 which is kind of embarrassing but oh well I've closed both of these accounts and I don't recommend you have these because they kind of limit your interest in kind of shopping around other stores and they end up making you spend more money at these so I don't recommend these specific store credit cards I'd rather just use the double cash and have that freedom to shop wherever a simple life happy life now on the flip side I am a big fan of both the Amazon 5% off a prime card and the Lowe's American Express credit card these are places I spend a lot of money anyway I spend a lot of money on Amazon not just for my real estate investments but all for my real estate business and YouTube business I also spent a ton of money at Lowe's for my renovations if I can't find cheaper prices elsewhere here's why let me first say the Lowe's American Express actually gives me six point nine percent cash back that's in the form of 5% back at the register and another 2% back when I pay the card which is pretty amazing six point nine percent at one store that's almost unheard of in addition to that with this credit card I can sign up for special options with Lowe's to get discounted pricing which I talked about pretty regularly in the real estate investing course which by the way if you didn't realize I have a real estate investing course and real estate agent course they are linked down below and the 18 percent off coupon code does expire July 5th now as far as the Amazon credit card that's just a straight up 5% off when you're making purchases on Amazon it's not a bad credit card these are two sort of specialty cards that I do recommend mostly because I can buy a ton of stuff there it's not like I'm only buying stuff at Banana Republic or Macy's I could buy pretty much anything at Amazon or Lowe's so I'm okay with these and so there you have it what's in a my wallet that has Citi double cash cards I've got one of each again business personal 2% back always got that Chase Sapphire Reserve which is going to give me that four-and-a-half percent back for travel and dining and it also hacks me to get seven and a half percent back on my ink and freedom card then I've got my specialty cards that give me my 5% back up to six point nine percent back at Lowe's Home Depot actually got rid of a their specialty card which I thought was a pretty dumb mistake but oh well so folks there you have it if you enjoyed this video please hit that like button and make sure to follow me on Instagram also remember not only will I be in Chicago on July 13th but I will be in Seattle on August 17th Austin Texas September 14th Miami October 12th San Fran November 16th and Charlotte December 7th we'll be going to Atlanta Nashville Philly Los Angeles Boston and a DC after that so hope to see you at one of these locations you'll actually get to meet me in person for a crash course on real estate invest in the meantime there's always the real-estate investing course where I go live twice a week or the agent course where I go live twice a week to help you solve your problems [Music] [Applause] [Music] you
