[Music] welcome to tabletop tactics and our debut Battle of Warhammer the old world upon this blasted realm the monarchs of the undead have awoken following their tomb King into battle the skeletal Warriors of kemry serve their lord even after death supported by giant constructs formed by the legion's leech priests the army of the undead will stop at nothing to reclaim what is rightfully theirs standing in their way however is the fr Ed But Mighty Empire of man led by their heroic General disciplined ranks of infantrymen grim halers and nightly Cavalry lead the charge towards the innumerable sways of the undead flanked by Mighty war machines War priests and wizards the might of the Empire must endure the oncoming masses will the Empire of man crumble under the weight of the Tomb Kings or will the Legion of the Dead be forever returned to the sands the tomb Kings of kemry prepare to bring death to everyone in our first old world battle report yes let's get some let's kick this off with a high King himself the tomb King I've given him a magic item called the flail of skulls which makes him much Smasher in combat which is nice he's also got a potion of speed which will help him hit hopefully first in times where he needs to we then have a high priest or High Priestess in this instance she's level four she also has the hieratic jar and she has an earthing Rod which will help me with miscasts I don't want her to die because my whole Army will start to take tests and start losing models if she dies she's really important we then have the Mory priest which is basically like a lower level priest who is level two and will also help me do some nice death Magic across the battlefield then going on to the core we have a unit of 27 skeletons with Spears light armor they have a command and they have the fank Special Rule as well which makes them really good if they're using their Shield which they will be because they have Spears we then have a unit of 17 tomb guards these guys are like the super Killy graveguard equivalent for the tomb Kings and of course appropriately we'll have my king join them we then have a unit of 20 skeleton archers very nice not used to firing with Undead my first time using tomb kings ever in any addition of fantasy so I'm quite excited to see what they do I do have some archers here I think that they ignore modifiers as well which is quite useful in fantasy because there are lots of modifiers to be had we then go over to four chariots uh these guys have Spears on the back and they also have a command and we have five Horsemen also to accompany them so I've got a bit of an eff thing going on here and these Horsemen also have armor and they have Spears as well as a command then we go on to our special choices this is where things get funky we have a tomb Scorpion and I have upgraded it with the ambusher Special Rule which basically means that I can equivalent deep strike we then have three of shabti and then we also have three necropolis Knights or a chef likes to call them wind Surfers I get it it it's cool they're like big Cobra Undead surfing people then what we have is rare choices where we've got the absolutely iconic necro Sphinx the thing which goes for hundreds of pounds on eBay perhaps not anymore so I've got one of those really looking forward to seeing what this war machine does and we have a screaming skull catapult so some artillery which while it's not always reliable in games or previous games that I've played additions of Warhammer fantasy when it hits it's real nice when all those Rank and files get a large template to the face time to eat pie [Music] march with me my brothers and sisters for the Empire here we go we are being led today by an Empire General he is riding upon an imperial Griffin he has full armor plate an enchanted Shield The Sword of Justice and a Luck Stone Talisman for could measure as well we have a wizard Lord who will be Conjuring many spells today he has a scroll of transmogrification which if all being well will turn one of uh Lawrence's Wizards into a frog which I'm very excited about we have a Lector of Sigma a Bastion you could say of the Empire this is a war alar and the priest upon it has the mace of hellstrom Relic as well for some bashing and smashing for my core troops we have 40 State troops they will have halberts and Shields and we have a command in there as well we have 24 veteran troops all with shields we have a command and also two detachments of five crossbowmen with light armor we then got three demig Griff Knights these have lances and full plate armor they are command and for a couple of rare choices we have a hell Blaster which is incredibly exciting and perhaps one of the most iconic models I can think of we have the steam tank rolling onto the battlefield ready to blow some of these bony bozos off the battlefield in today's battle the players have chosen the Doom of Odo toddm III a breakpoint mission all details of this Mission can be found on page 290 of the core rule book before we begin the battle let's take a quick look at what's coming up right now on demand first up we have a full review breakdown of the old return what's old is new again it's very exciting so as you can see a brand sparkling new Tomb King Army and Fletcher is furiously painting the lights of old the bonian yes which will be coming to Free viiew very very soon here on YouTube and of course everyone on demand for lots of extra extras for now we are going to play our first battle report for your viewing pleasure we do hope you enjoy it our forces are deployed we are playing a classic pitched battle today basically the more we kill the more likely we are to win a glorious Victory I have to nominate my soul Reaper Target with my necro Sphinx which will of course be your general excuse me Royal Griffin over there I need my soul to live thank you very much no we have uh we have risen from the underworld to seek you out and to kill you uh the other thing that I do need to mention is I have an ambusher my uh scorpion over here oh sneak which can arrive from turn one with a leadership test near a priest etc etc are we ready to roll for first turn you just finish deploying first so you get plus one to this roll do I indeed well why you you you go ahead and roll a four a four respect oh he's starting the new game very strong is this going to be the addition for you I addition be my game I rolled a seven on a D6 is incredible that's technically impossible never been done it is my strategy face I don't have too much to do cuz it's early in the game um I am going to with my warrior priest upon my mighty Lector here going to do a prayer okay going do a prayer to Sigma um I'm going to attempt to do Shield of faith upon myself and my allies that does not happen my prayer is more of a Mumble ni that would have given you a five up Ward it would for him and and a unit within his command range just kind of like a feel no paint but no but kind of yeah but not at all but that's but that's it that's all I need to do in my strategy phase it was a bit of a long shot we'll move on to the movement phase right I've got no other spells that are in range to wor about my wizard so it's time for the movement phase the steam tank is going to kick things off and I'm going to use its steam power ability see if I can move a little bit faster which I can which is very nice I'm going to move seven in total um I can discard the lowest but because they're the same I can just discard either so seven we go steam power activated as a heavy Chariot I'm able to a pivot at the end of the turn for him so which he's done we then move on to my Lector on his War now this also moves seven but without the additional I'm going to wheel a bit over here this has been pre-measured and he should come up just to the side of the steam tank my state troopers with the hbers are Marching forward so they are doubling their move moving eight my general is going to move up as well alongside has fly so we go a bit further and then finally because my hell gun is out of range they are going to move forwards with move or shoot so I should get some stuff in range in my subsequent turn last thing to move are my demig griffs they are Marching as well um I'm going to uh be Wheeling around here um and because of the uh end of the world rules you can get your Corners off the edge of the board as you're doing your maneuver uh as long as you finish on the board that's perfectly fine they have marched and that brings me to the end of my movement phase there are a couple more things to do over in this flank over here my veterans are also on the march here they come do a little wheel over here finish their move that way we're also going to march with my Bowman coming up this way there a wheel off we go it's the shooting phase I have one thing to do yeah the engineer on top of my steam tank has picked his Target as we can see over there I'm going to fire my steam Cannon towards your your your massive Sphinx you're aiming for the bounce to which then hits everything under it in a line to to to hit me but he he's a particularly particularly profound Marksman this engineer I'll tell you that three a four okay you right you bounce four Ines bounce four which should be you have both to takee measures yeah it's going to basically end up just before yes but then you now roll again you roll the artillery dice again and under 10 in so it goes so you're actually going to hit the Sphinx yeah and the uh the Catapult with and you'll even hit at least two of my um skeleton Warriors good grief how cool right well you'll be wounding my necro Sphinx on twos cuz I'm toughness six a powerful cannon that's wound uh you'll be wounding my screaming skull catapult also on TW cuz your strength eight and toughness six you do fail to wuin screamy skull catapult no command points in this game no uh and then I would say you will definitely pass through three so yeah so and I R them individually right uh yes okay uh so all three of those are wounded now you are minus 2 AP you arm a bane two indeed uh I have heavy armor uh which is a five up save for uh those of you trying to Lear the game along with us which means I don't get a save but I do have regeneration five which is like an additional save but it's not like feel no pain but it is an additional save like feel no pain but not and I do roll a six how dare you which means that you do not get to roll your damage that's very sad it is a bit sad however these three skeleton Warriors I think they've got regeneration six up if I remember correct the undead thing is to have regeneration I'm going to roll some dice here I roll two sixes I kill one skeleton with my steam tank yes one is shattered into dust that's the end of my turn sir first one done a warning shot clearly struck but also head of a skeleton off I did I rolled a bit obnoxiously there I'm sorry about that I suppose that represents the the undying nature of your army it does but you know what it's just a warmup this is the this is this is a game which from turn two everything suddenly dies turn one is just the game of cages okay speaking of cages I'm going to unleash some magical cages upon your Force [Music] imminently and now for for my uh strategy phase uh I have just done a rise and I bought the skeleton back that you destroyed s I'm Undead it's my thing I pass my leadership now I'm going to do my Mory priest who's also incidentally leading the same Spearman unit he's got two spells he is level two so he can cast two you also did my will be done and got plus one weapon skill your I did yes I chose a plus one weapon skill uh with my king there uh on the tomb guard now Jeff's incantation of cursed blazes first it is a 7 plus the cast and it will allow me to roll natur rolls of one oh that's nice he does not pass with the plus two and then going to do deathly cabal this is quite tricky it is a casting value of 10 plus but it will give me a six up Ward save and turn my fear to Terror oh scary no both of those fail but the good news is I don't miscasts that is good and they're going to go over to my high priestess uh which I'll be back with in a moment right I'm actually not going to cast any spells with my high priestess because she's got some more attacking movements based things which I don't need to do right now uh slightly out of sequence I supposed to do this at the beginning before the magic just so that you know but we're all doing the Lan here so we're just going to do it now anyway and it wouldn't have affected anything else I'm going to attempt to uh from beneath the Sands my scorpion here Scorpion King will arise from this dead tree a bit scary do need to pass leadership test for this ability to go off which I do J I not do it because unlike the king they're not leadership Tim so scorpion is obviously busy borrowing doing some sort of dunesque thing looking for that spice uh what I'm going to do now is do some charges I'm declaring a charge on your demig griffs I that was very inspiring I charge thank you War horns and skeletons Undead without lungs right I have Swift stride so I actually need to roll 2d6 here and pick the highest and then I add my movement which is eight uh I roll a six and a three so 6 Plus 8 is very favorable that's 14 now because I've got Swift stride I also add a further D6 after the fact okay which is a six okay that is a successful charge wow sound the charge so let's begin the first charge of the old world we get a free wheel um during this charge sequence and I have to line it up so that I get the maximum uh amount of contact UM and in this instance I get maximum contact very nice well hold your horses there please hes horses get it I have an ability called countercharge yeah which allows me as part of my charge reaction to charge toward charge me head on yeah like this that's D3 plus one is it it is that means I get to go three Ines towards you okay so technically then I I I make my charge even easier for you but you count as charging now I do um all right well would you like to move those uh you get a free Little Wheel here as well wheel and then that put me there and then I get a a free wheel um the whole point with the charges in old world is that you need to make as much contact as possible so there we go smash smash indeed impact hits slithering nights now my high priestess is going to try and a conveyance spell uh we're going to travel mystical pathway going to try and cast it on the asabi in front of us uh it is a high casting value unfortunately I do only roll off five and with my plus four that is not enough so that fails to go off my shabti will uh instead of being teleported then we'll just move forwards 5 in like so the Sphinx now will also Edge forward to fall in line with the deadly as shabti the Spearman will move forward 4 in like so and then I'll come over to the tomb guard which will also move forward four being Undead we can't march so we are a slower Army and the skeleton Warriors will uh sorry the uh Cavalry evening we wheel round this way now my high priestess will uh move forward only 4 in again but this will afford her to get into some magical Vortex range now for some aggressive magic we're going to summon an elemental Spirit from my high priestess here prob pre-measured it will get your War Shrine uh it will be placed here and your um halers there so I'm just going to place it down there as close as I possibly can I do need to cast this on a nine uh you're you don't have any magical resistance in play that can affect me here Noz I'm not being targeted specifically no no sort of placing it there and anything it touches will take D3 plus three strength 4 how it works yeah two cast four five six seven and I do get plus four to that result so it does indeed go off very nice it does randomly move uh at the start of every turn which is very exciting but for now uh your War Shrine is going to take D3 attemp to dispel that so that was seven but plus four so that going an 11 yeah yeah so you if have you got a level three four wizard level three in range over there 24 in range yeah oh it's very exciting so you could attempt to dispel this I'm going to give it a shot yeah wizardly wizardly duel eight are are you level 8 9 10 11 no you need to beat me not quite close very close oh it's getting spicy okay so um my spell goes off so you'll be taking D3 plus three hits I believe I do need to roll these uh for each unit rather than just once so D3 plus three on your halers uh you take four hits uh your toughness I believe is three yes so I'll be wounding you on threes here that is two wounds so AP armor vean one AP1 is it well I don't know what my save is you have light armor for a six up save and a shield for a five up save cuz they stack a one pass one so pass one one is alive and then got D3 plus three on the war Shrine goodness or it's the big six oh my the this is topest five okay four five six so this will be wounding you on five okay H oh they get three wounds at AP1 I'm afraid three wounds three wounds AP1 okay it's this magical Vortex this Elemental Spirit yes destroys your uh Shrine it doesn't say what my armor is oh because I need it for my guy no The Chariot should have an armor save cuz it is a chariot War alter it will say the save value on the unit I'm going to roll the dice I'm I'm going look it up I'm going to look it up screaming skull catapult in a Skeletor esque uh yeah lobbing of my skull there ni I place that in the center of that Rank and file they're getting bombarded vort pies you like pies I like Pi it's scatters but it only scatters 2 in some would say that's rather good cuz you're you're firing indirectly I am firing indirectly yeah okay so I do not use my ballistic skill to remove those those inches I just always take the number on there but at two inches back this way I still going to click quite a few so let's see how many we hit okay so it hits two of you wholly cuz they're under the template six of you are partially under the template so on Force fives and six is they will that's that's quite a roll well done they they they they they they they they they're all hit Jim substanti six so that's eight that are hits now one takes a Big Kahuna hit right so this will be twos he is wounded with an AP of minus three so he's dead okay the others with the screaming skull catapult will be taking strength four uh minus one hit your toughness three yeah okay so the rest of these strength four minus one 1 two four seven of them left here we go so threes o that is six at minus one so you're going to get six six up saves here y six six up saves oh so I kill six in total screaming skull now because it's the screaming skull catapult you got to take a panic test as if you had heavy casualties i i as if I've had heavy casualties which you kind of had for for reference bid heavy casualties on that unit would actually be 10 models in a single phase I mean it's quite heavy Med quite heavy yeah um okay so I need take a panic test do I so you are in range of your general I am you get to use his leadership I can use his leadership yeah and because you're within 6 in of the arch Lector on war alter or Sigma you get to roll Panic test roll yes you should be okay my leadership is nine yeah he under nine roll under n you're fine I'm not I'm not you did lose seven people to I mean that's quite offputting but we'll be fine impact hits we are now in the combat phase so we got 40 three impact hits from my chariots on your demig griffs 6 78 nine hits four five 6 7 8 nine very impct okay strength four toughness a toughness is four four so fours straight down the middle uh that is just the three wounds there's no AP okay you've got heavy armor so you got full plate armor you've got Shield you've got Bing Bas got two up save got two up save they're chunky boys they're fine you are fine okay now cuz you're counter charge your initiative seven yeah uh that's better than me yeah you get to hit me okay here we go so I have my my Knights and my proceptor giving me four attacks in total with my lances now I didn't check to what I hit you on of course uh so my weapon skill is four everywhere your weapon skill is my weapon skill is only three so you will be hitting me on thre it is three it's marvelous um so that's three hits Please it is do you want I need to wound you don't I I need to wound you that's the next thing to do uh okay so you are attacking in the crew at this point so it would be toughness actually no it's a chariot so it's toughness fourness four so be sixes uh so St six your choose to win yeah three win AP two oh oh I've already got five up save they save then lunch I believe you'll find you have a safe but I do have probably got regeneration I do have regeneration six plus how many wounds did you do sorry three I made one of them sneaky sixes what's do you have multiple damage no not on the Lan okay so just two wounds go through that's not enough to destroy a chariot I'm afraid I do have all my hippogryphs oh my hippogriffs um so these are also weapon skill four so it'll be um threes again okay okay okay okay all right it's fine these are strength six strength six again oh no these are strength five three to Wi threes to in this one forgive has been a bit the difference do they have an AP they have an AP of two no Wicked claws okay regeneration I do make two regeneration SV but two go through meaning that you have destroyed your first Chariot and done a wound on another marvelous ouch Undead Spears okay this is all my Spears I do have a champion in there as well I am hitting on fours do you have a greater weapon skill than me but not uh double so that's four hits there uh they are Cavalry Spears so these are Str rank four your toughness sir toughness is four yeah great well that's four wounds these are actually AP1 are they now they are on the charts yes they be on threes then please they're okay snap on my plate AR it's okay uh every old school fantasy player knows that it's always the steeds that do the damage course uh okay uh their weapon skill though however is actually only two so they will be hitting you on five yeah I believe in these spe more than double oh is it more to the your weapon skill two I am weapon skill four so it is actually Four oh great more than double okay three hits one wound there any AP no nuclear Hooves no they're a I thought the one would come up there yeah scratch right well look this is really interesting because now we've got our first combat resolution you've done seven wounds even though I saved the Regeneration doesn't count towards the combat res just to help debuff that rule which is really powerful so basically I lose by seven this is a real bad day for me I got to take a leadership check all right okay do you you're Undead oh you start to crumble son oh crumble well that's absolutely correct uh it basically means I lose seven wounds wow because uh I'm actually don't I'm unbreakable as well so I don't take Panic chests so every point I lose by I just lose a win it's crumbled to dust yeah so the champion there has only got the one wound left now after losing an additional seven uh and then I have to give ground uh and fall back two Ines which is around that now would you like to follow up or do you want to attempt to restrain I'm going to attempt to restrain cuz I do like the bonuses I get with my lances you see yeah cuz then you can just declare a charge and I am full of restraint as you well know leadership check this are you a chaos player sometimes uh depends um I am going to use my general for his leadership he's a large Target what that nine it is nine one look at the restraint I'm I'm I'm exuding right now wow wow w i mean if you had four chariots just charge you and they all pinged off the way that they just you would just sort of you wouldn't even bother would you be like was that a joke right well but that is my turn I could let you have your turn or I could actually move my summon Elemental Spirit first it's at the beginning of every turn sub phase so I'm going to do this right now very very well H nestled beautiful your Shrine and your steam tank I me is only an inch so I now will not hit your infantry anymore yes but I will hit both of these okay both of those are hit D3 plus three on your washr again take six hit a shrine was it what was the toughness on it five five leave me alone oh that's three wounds at AP1 AP1 that's another three wounds at AP1 I don't want to alarm you but things are getting dangerous I feel quite alarmed it's also dangerous it's four up save three you say are you four up Bas save yes so AP1 so five up save yeah there was three wounds yeah oh you make two okay well you've lost one wound another wound D3 on your steam tank or it's the six stop it what's the toughness on the steam tank sir the steam tank surely in incredibly uh toughness is seven well I roll uh five ones and twos and one three so the steam tank is still blowing off some steam and is okay you will need to take dangerous terrain tests when you move through it though my turn then yeah my turn two this is as I understand it where things start getting spicy yeah I'm going to attempt to dispel your vortex CU it's causing me much pain and death is I'll do that with my wizard over there okay need a seven cuz he is level three okay yeah cuz I'm uh curing no I do not dispel the vortex that's very sad that's a big problem for you problem B I do have my own Vortex which I'll be unleashing later on so we have a Vortex off a Dance of Death I am going to do one spell now which is the curse of Arrow attraction okay which I'll be doing onto your tomb tomb fellas down there my tomb guard okay tomb guard this also goes off on a step High King's Guard oh it's so close okay oh no it does go off of course it does cuz I get plus three and it'sing value of seven it does go off then I will attempt to dispel that what was this what does the spell do um I can rote any natural ones to hit with my shooting attacks just so you're aware it's pretty much just these Bowman down here cross Bowman okay there's no limits to how many um I'm just going to attempt to dispel it 4 5 6 s i do dispel it cuz I get plus four damn you yeah so damn you damn you back to Hell one more thing to mention my prayer from my priest down here did go off my shield of Sigma which means that he and this unit of HS over here now have a five up Ward for ranged attacks oh okay yeah which is better than nothing yeah you know charge wise my hippogryphs down here are going to finish off your chariot over there I'm just going to move them in cuz they can't fail here they come it's less than your move going to cut him down the other thing I'm going to do I will receive the charge you don't have a choice I think I do actually get to uh stand and shoot yeah you they are way too close it needs to be uh less than their movement yeah my general yeah is now going to charge into that big block of scell Warriors over there I will St assert some dominance on the battlefield for uh that he'll make it so you've got a 9in move yes what did you roll a four two fours okay and you also have Thrift stride so you get to add an additional D6 as well you 13 there you go plus six B days here he comes for the empire for the rest of the movement we're going to March forward with my halers over here inspired by the presence of their General and they will try and protect him from the giant Sphinx of death we'll move on to the steam tank now I did unfortunately roll one because of this pesky Vortex so I have taken a wound on my D3 but I am using my steam power to move on up over this way and I will Flame the enemy with my steam over here my veterans are moving up which will allow my wizard to fire some magical projectiles very last thing to do my alar over here is going to move I didn't uh fail my dangerous terrain test so I can move just far enough to escape the wrath of the Mighty Vortex it's time for the shooting phase okay I will unleash my steam gun upon you for my steam tank that's cool onto the tomb Gart I have not used the flame template in quite some time no maybe since 7th edition 40K yeah 789 so I've got nine automatic hits okay and nine four UPS to hit as well that's a lot of hits that is a lot of hits well done me so that's 10 that's 50 steam steam ATT Str two there's five s okay yep I'm toughest for the Tom guard oh it's not bad though it's good I like it not bad at all okay well done the steam up the steam 1 2 3 4 5 6 seven seven wounds there's not a smidge of AP because this is steam no AP oh I'm sorry there's no AR there's no safe no armor safe armor saves but you can do your Wards and regeneration okay so I've got regeneration uh six plus uh I do not have a ward save uh as far as you can tell cool I make two so that is five yes oh steam oh nice polished bone there isn't it well that went quite well yeah it's time to lay down some State missile troops crossbows these are long range right I haven't moved with these but I'm still getting minus 1 because Afra long range five these five here and these two that can see has not to shoot their friends in the back right again into the tomb Kings okay fours uh do when you say fours do you mean fives yes yes yes I do that is still four hits thank you for checking uh did my curse of arrows go off no I dispelled yous of you're level four wizard um I'll be what's yours uh uh what's your what's your what's your toughness pleas toughest is four on the T guard uh my strength is four that's three wound any sixes that's a six six AR one oh aror ban one okay I will still get a six up Save which I made why you like this and then you had two other saves yes which are five up saves which I make one and then regeneration which I do not actually kill one oh Bo this is a big one it it's time for my hell Blaster volley gun down here okay seems like quite a contener machine yes so I need to roll three artillery dice to see how well maintained this machine is only got we've only got one of these so I have to use uh three times well that's not a good start it's a misfire not a good start I pressed the wrong lead so now I have an additional minus one to hit so now hit you on sixes isn't the best uh four four shots and six shot so six shots okay but you're hitting Beyond sixes it's very disappointing at my necro Sphinx at the necro Sphinx yes indeed right here we go I've hit you three times done yeah hitting God six is cuz long range uh you hit me three times do you need to ruin me strength five strength is five I am tough to six I'm afraid uh so that is one wound one wound one AP one uh oh yeah roll two threes and a five anyway so yes one we uh what AP1 did you say right so six up save uh and then I have regeneration uh my regeneration on him is a five plus I do make that I'm afraid necro Sphinx necro Tonks last thing to shoot is my wizard of fire I'm going to do my Fireball yeah into your tomb boys down there what they call you tomb guard tomb guard yeah um this will go in a five being a level three wizard which I am yes 5 6 7 8 plus plus three 9 10 11 okay I my uh High Priestess turns a death mask to you hello oh 8 + 4 makes 9 10 11 12 meaning very annoying the Spells I don't like her at all we are the masters of death and Magic well I don't want to alarm you but I have one more spell to do oh the pillar of fire oh that sounds epic the pillar of fire it's another Vortex 6 7 8 9 it does go the necro serpents 3 six 7 8 n techos [Music] serpents uh right these are three four hits here hitting on fours they do have poisoned attack so um oh 60 hit so one's automatically wounded there oh that's very nice uh and then to wound you normally strength five and S so that's four wounds four wounds four wounds there's no AP so you will get your full two plus saves you finally done a wound that's significant because combat resolution wise cuz we both got full command and all that jazz means that this reduces to one and then I've got indomitable which means that I just take that away so I don't take any different additional wounds and I just stay there in combat with you the king steps forward so the tomb guard first King's got the highest initiative he's got four attacks he does have the flail of skulls he's hitting you on twos he rolls 31 incredible and he's not in range no he does wound you though okay at strength eight is there an AP yes one he does ping and alaton guards including the captain uh so here we go hitting you on threes cuz I'm higher weap score than you uh and then it is unfortunately sixes to wounds with my capes I do get a six to wounds you now yes AP1 it does go through does go through so you lose your wounds down to eight okay I'll take that you have Strike last they've got two-handed big Hefty weapons so I'm going to go with my steam tank my matter you're a magic weapon so my w doesn't work but I do get regeneration 5 plus I do Fade all three so you kill the priest oh that's very nice oh it's brutal well I did do a wound back on the war alter you did okay but unfortunately after the combat res is all said and done I've lost a fair the 10 models so so these 10 are smashed into dust and finally The Tide is turning yes forces the Empire so over here we've done this uh this combat again it was a stalemate essentially I can't get through your two plus armor no well apparently I can't get through your snake armor no you did I did roll a six on my regen again yes yes uh we're going to move over here now to my veterans new comat into the tomb guard down there um so I've got my swordsman and my Wiz will be striking at the same time yeah yeah my Sergeant's in here as well oh they they ke beans okay the KE beans uh strength three though uh my strength is three yes five you did get one that was definitely the wizard no AP here so light armor and shield no and then I do have regeneration no so you do kill a Tom guard okay nice well my FL of skulls uh pinged off your steam tank there as did the two tomb guard the remaining tomb guards which are attacking the flank here uh did kill two of your Swordsmen yes um however you have now killed an as shabti with your steam tank the engineer popped out and stabbed him in the eye socket it happened he did but what a Legend um and now he's going to do his uh Crazy Wheels six it's Pleasant I think it's D3 plus one is it I don't know you've got the rule book in front of you oh I'm thinking of something else might be worth checking it is D3 + one okay I was going to say cuz D6 might have been quite scary there been a bit much strength uh the strength is six and tough is four so it is two s wounds lovely uh so that is yeah four go through these are at minus two AP okay so uh regeneration six plus no regeneration there you kill another a shabti and put a wound one another nice now the final as shatti the ancient will attack you back so hitting you on threes I hit you twice uh and then I don't get my great to wound you I no I needed fives to wound cuz you're toughness seven yeah four five six no no wounds there okay lucky boy well with the melee all sorted uh I effectively lose by five now I indomitable to with my tomb King so I will knock two off of that but three of these tomb guard crumble to dust as they're unstable and the shap is only indomitable one so he takes four wounds effectively and he is destroyed flank charge as soon as you disrupt that charge it makes a big difference yeah well not bad no it's good not bad at all killing the ashab is very pleasant yeah this not being dead is a bit of a problem but he's a tough cookie he is a tough cookie he's going to do probably a flank charge of his own I suspect oh dear oh dear um yeah the vortex will do what the vortex does but yeah oh and also getting rid of that many skellies in the middle is quite nice for my my general maybe he will manage to escape that battle at some point it's true and I can only regenerate one of the units now so I decide which one I'm going to go for okay so it's turn three back to no avail but my tomb King has just inflicted a wound and has has the captain of the Tomb guard yes so you got to make one save against the flail of skulls at AP1 which you pass and then one save against the captain which you fail so you lose another wound down to two it's now your swordsman turn swordsman's turn right the tomb guard have just struck back as did your swordsman your swordsman did nothing but the tomb guard have killed three of your swordsman so you are heavily getting stabbed here now now the Scorpion's going to do D3 Stomps he gets three on the uh the old swordsman there and he wounds you twice there's no AP here there's no AP no kill another two the Scorpion is just slashing them apart okay and then we go over to the Sphinx now the Necro sphin also has Stomps but he's also got his super super hit strike thing okay so decapitating strike is strength plus five remember it is Strike last so this will happen after all Stomps including the Stomps from the steam tank ah then okay then that will be his Stomps then uh so that will be one plus two so that's three uh they do one of them wound you cuz you're tough seven there no AP uh there is AP he's a behemoth so he's ap2 oh that's nice yeah oh hello goodbye uh does go through okay so then that's another wounds down you've got one left now uh my you'll get to stomp me before I get to do my decapitating stop I can't cuz you're Behemoth you can stop the tomb guard though yes okay o four wheels it's hard to trap a necr Spinx under Wheels it's four wounds four wounds okay AP two uh I make two regeneration saves but two are slain and if you're noticing that there's more back it's because I did pass my leadership test to bring them back with my high priestess still two dead okay this is has changed considerably yes unsurprisingly uh your the war to absorb the Griffin uh you did pass the test to restrain and you've now reformed and are setting yourself up for some very nasty charges next turn yeah meanwhile over here I did finally lose the combat I didn't do my regeneration saves and as a result I have lost two yes of the Riders and I got one left on two wounds you did pass a test to restrain I did restrain once again so you're going to be able to charge me again to finish me off next so uh it's all starting to fall apart now as we go into your turn four let's see what happens battle round four here we go you need to move your crazy Vortex of death I do you've also just done your prayer I've done my hammer of Sigma on the the Lector and more importantly on my general Laur or is it no you choose him and then one other friend oh that's really cool my Elemental Spirits I alarm you there's not many of my units around there oh oh no you're Spinx yeah oh no is attack with my decapitating strike but that will be done at strikes last so you have one final chance to kill him with the stomp before okay here we go cleaving blades okay so I can roll hit rolls of simultaneous stomping stomping oh it's the four oh oh wait is it four stomp D3 plus one yes oh I get five you can stomp each other it's worth pointing out that the Behemoth rules give you ap2 but it doesn't work against other behemoths so neither of you will get any AP here it's just about pure extra damage right so I'm just going to buy my strength correct just straight up strength right and simultaneous have some bad news I'm afraid I don't do it please so strike last is initiative one so it does go along simultaneously with the stomp attacks now however many wounds you've got left how many wounds do you have left I have five left okay but I do have monster Slayer on this attack sounds like Five Wounds doesn't capting strike if I roll a six to wounds yeah you will get a six up Ward save you won't get any other type of save it's not a magical attack first of all the decapitating strikes from the necro Sphinx hits you oh okay that's that's was good well known for Rolling sixes Lawrence six oh so close okay it is a wound it would be minus four okay you don't have um you still have a ward save though I have a ward save yeah six up h no no so uh I it doesn't have multi- damage um it just has once the Slayer so you will actually only lose one wi the one okay but uh there we go the necro Sphinx is no more well we've resolved this combat uh impressively one of the skeleton archers did do a wound back on your War alter uh but after combat res uh unstable I leave four skeleton archers uh right I have to give you some ground so I'm going to fall back or move back 2 in in good order here however uh what would you like to do would you like to follow up or would you like to try and reform um I think I think I will reform yep about to flank charge you with those uh yes I'd prefer it if you didn't thank you uh yeah he's fine he's going to go oh the wings in the way hello hello there we are cool turn complete yeah pretty good one four yeah it was good yeah destroyed I still do have tomb guard on the boards but uh the rest of my Army is really beginning to crumble around me so it will be going into my turn four however uh I'm going to roll for the elemental The bringing them back up to max strength I passed that leadership check there um I've also buffed my tomb guard with the plus one weapon skill from my king as well uh I don't have anything else to do I'm not going to try and cast the enchantment spell so I'm going to move on to the movement phase and of course I'm going to declare a charge nice nice okay I'm going to turn the tomb guard which technically means that they act to your turn on the spot but then I will do a reform which will end up looking like this so three ranks of six to face the Empire General the tomb scorpion is now wheeled around 5 in moves forward another 2 in and being a monster gets a free pivot at the end here so we'll do that and now for some magic I'm going to travel the mystical pathway that's nice The High Priestess oh wow she rolls a 10 it is minus two but she gets plus two after being level four your minus two so that goes off on a 12 um I no but you can't you can't even fed the spell you can't roll a 13 so therefore I will pick unit up goodine and replace them 12 in away nice the war bows will unleash a volley into your Empire General uh and then I will cast wind blasts from the high priestess as well but first up a volley of arrows okay nice little spread of hits uh your toughness is Lots I presume uh yes five I think I do a wound you do a wound excuse me ex you are excused no he's fine he's fine is he okay very nice there's no AP I'm presuming no not on the W no um so what we do now have is a wind blast okay this could be a problem for you she does cast it uh she's no longer within 12 of your um War alter so there's no minuses there um so oh do you want to try fated dispell I do want to you'll need a 7 8 9 10 11 oh sorry you'll need a 12 sorry need a 12 yeah I'm very sorry soose would you used to fate it I'm happy for you to take that back I would have done it anyway yeah cuz cuz she gets plus four to her role you see so and you have to beat it to dis spel so the wind blast goes off it's D3 plus three strength five hits on your um it's the big three my goodness six in total oh it says once these hits have been resolved the unit must give ground that's interesting yeah you get pushed back two inches yeah Blown Away uh oh magic I assume I have no they automatically hit they do automatically hit okay so it's just a wound I only wound you once though it is AP1 AP1 yes Yip he's fine okay is your toughness six or seven sorry my toughness is five your toughness is five I still strangely only wound you once okay okay but I get blown back a bit two inches yeah okay I'll blow myself back in a minute and now for the thing which has done so much damage this game the screaming skull catapult I don't like it I mean this this is a risky position imagine taking multiple of them that's a thing imagine it scattering onto the tomb guard oh that would be imagine it getting a direct hit two again oh it was a direct hit yeah wow all right splatter pult mvs most valuable skull okay uh strength is Lots I roll a six oh my goodnesses mean um so flaming attacks I'm assuming you're not susceptible to that okay despite being on a big old bird there uh but there we go uh so it is a wound uh it is minus three minus three it is minus three so I believe you will get a six up save no okay now cuz it's a magical attack you won't get any of your ward saves I'm afraid it is multiple wounds D3 plus one so if I roll a five or a six I don't okay so it's two wounds you've taken you've got two wounds left WS alive oh Lu because I'm very brave because my rally and cry rule he is immune to fear even the line hold the line yes even that of a giant flying skull yeah but I mean it be natur run away that's yeah come on giant griin let's run away um over here now my initiative is higher than your Skelly horses yes so my elector will be striking first yep which is which is fun uh we'll do his his Mount first of all double hitting uh double wounding that's with my iron Sho I can't remember if I've paid for light armor or not what you've got light armor yeah any any a no AP uh those both fail uh and then cuz a horse doesn't give you plus one unless got being mounted doesn't give you plus one anymore uh regeneration you do kill okay and then I have the Lector himself with his Mace of death uh does my r one still apply uh yep it applies until your next start of sub phase subphase all of the hitting can I do the wounding h no just the one wound okay strength four uh strength is four you all twos oh um and that AP uh not not in this generation I make the regen save just kill two uh okay I do get to hit you back so we've got two attacks with the master of horse and then we've got two additional attacks as well we have got our Cavalry Spears your weapon skill is skill is so I hit you twice hit you twice and then to wound you what's your toughness uh my toughness is four I wound you once it's AP1 toughness five because it's the chariot's toughness that you utilize I still wound you once okay he's okay okay he's fine okay so I lose the combat M oo well with that uh you have managed to reform there you restrained uh and you are now facing my tomb guard yes okay but we do need to roll to see just before we go to your turn five yeah silly Vortex go on go that way go that way shame if you're Empire general to die my Elemental Spirit no it does go 6 in it goes 6 in that way it's retreating from my mighty General okay you're toe five it's time to charge once again here we go my general crash any he pops over here my leor bum bum bum bum bum bum crash W oh there's a Wing in the way you get the idea and over here my ever reliable demig griffs my own MVPs move forward bit of a wheel move forward bit of a wheel they are Marching to Victory my crossbows have shot D into the Scorpion once again much more effective this time got four wounds through and two of them are ARA Bane okay so on the armor Bane I pass one and in regeneration I fail that one so he loses a wound uh and then on the non armor Bay I fail both of those oh regeneration he's dead he's dead yeah well he only has three wounds The Humble crossbowman yeah Boop yeah the combat Begins the general will issue the challenge I want to get more attacks through my alar over there yep I'll accept with the champion yes here we go The Sword of Justice there's oh I don't think I mentioned I got Hammer of Sigmar off again um for the re rolls which is nice uh o fun oh Sword of Justice can roll anyway roll my wounds that's better three wounds three wounds is strength four or five uh strength four uh that's only one two wounds then uh okay AP AP1 okay uh then that is both of those failed uh and then regeneration I made one of those so one is dead okay the moall is a hit the more dead I should say is a woo okay uh and no he is taking another wound and then my claws they all hit can I wound you uh strength six yep so two to wounds yes three wounds uh AP on that two okay so you do get five for your combat R against it lovely okay obliterum yes the war alter now impact hits technically this should have been done first but we did a challenge doesn't really matter oh baby that's good oh baby so impactful four five six seven strength uh strength that's a great question uh the strength is five so three s five I can read no I can't re roll uh that's Five Wounds please at ap2 yes okay so three four five regeneration saves make one so that's another four two things Crush excellent we then have my um so-called horses reroll the one for the shield of Sigma whatever it's called Uh one wound no AP oh I make it oh cheeky and then we have the mace of death death uh one wound AP M uh there is no AP pass that safe too incredible oh this is now getting spicy right now you've killed my fighting rank effectively but of course you've not killed my tomb King the the king with a flame of skulls the king is not dead he's actually going to attack your general cuz it's what he would do right and you're not in a challenge anymore cuz you killed me yeah so I've got four attacks what is your weapon skill sorry my weapon skill is five my weapon skill is six but I do only hit you twice okay ever my strength is eight yes it is toughest my toughest is five I wound you twice then I don't want to alarm you but this is multi- wound too okay do you have a well you don't get it anyway cuz I've got a magical weapon AP1 if you fail one of these you're dead a Falls if you fail oh now both the play of skulls he crushes the skull of your general he's dead I mean he's does a pretty solid work he's done pretty well well what a fight that was now after combat R all said is done uh is said and done you do of course win uh and it means that with my uh unstable I will lose a further five tomb guard here okay so you are wiy okay but I am still alive and I've killed your general have you're slain [Music] yes watch turn five I actually failed my leadership test to bring any of these guys back significant I did pass the B to get myself plus one weapon skill again uh The Tempest uh the elemental summoning ghosts the The Vortex uh didn't go anywhere lot of hit on that so there's only charges really to declare I'm not going to be doing uh any other spells in the strategy part of this phase so yeah I'll be declaring a charge over here do I make it believe I will Twi as well yeah well we I wouldn't even need that okay very good the bows have opened up and did take a wound for one of your two saves uh of course the screaming skull catapult MVP will attempt to cause problems again oh oh will this be the first Miss no I still potentially hit you on a four plus okay the four plus no so the scream skull catapult has missed this time marvelous finally finally the skeletal Horsemen uh rear charge on the war alar no hits no hits uh the Steves the true power no hits oh wow okay the tomb King is the next this now he has got a valid chance of killing you here he not strength eight this time it's still only two hits okay he strength five you tough this five yes luckily get a chance to hit back the alter itself I hit you twice the alter itself I wound you once hey I Mak s again the mace of death uh I can be roll my one which is Pleasant into a two marvelous can I wound you no no oh dear do five tomb guard hit back okay they are weapon skill four my Buffs uh so that is four hits they are armed with the cir uh O Okay uh just the one wound AP1 just the one just one oh do take a wound okay still alive bit of a pickle yeah now so i' I've lost combat res by four so basically I need roll four outed you need four L yeah or you're going to flee and I could cut you down you i r two fours you FL you might actually get away so full back 26 you don't have swiss stride though 6789 6789 okay okay okay let's figure out the direction of fleeing yes well so I've got the stubborn rule you do which means that uh fall back in good order yeah the first time I do break test so I can decide to do that instead yeah yeah you still do fullback this way um I would have pursued um which I could not fail to pursue I only would have pursued with the um I'll have to take a leadership check uh on my tomb King which I do pass on A6 uh which means I can just Stand My Ground there uh so with that in mind that's my turn cool uh turn six next which will be the last turn of the game but I I think we can calculate the points because I don't they can't physically make a charge over here even if you do destroy these don't know if you can make a charge here let's work it out okay well turn six uh was about to happen but we have calculated the points because this is a game of killing this pitch battle uh I've already got a surplus of over 300 points near favor yes uh because the killing of your general who's worth a substantial amount of points plus when we tot up all with the banners um obviously you have your own selection of banners too you're welcome you may have those uh but unfortunately even if you destroy these two Cavalry men they uh will not be enough to give you victory yeah I can't make a charge with the demig grips over there into the into your silly catapult no and even if you did destroy that again I would still be make anyway you needed sill the tomb guard and my general it was that no the war alter that charged and your general yeah on the Imperial Griffin if you had managed to destroy the units it would be a victory for the Empire there was a way to do it because if you'd have got you you've got the soulfire but you failed it I failed it I failed the soul fire then the war alter could have charged into the tomb guard and then issued the challenge and then you'd have been able to utilize the MCE of hellstrom which would have been pretty sweet BK but sadly no soulfire was cast see the tomb King with his flail of skulls I was reading myself my last rights kill the great Imperial hero this day yes thank you so much for the first game well played sir very good very good it's a very very different game it's very complicated it's going to take a little while to sort of completely get our heads around it it's fun to do something new need to play need to play 20 games at least and read the V book five times yeah it's a he it's a hefty tone I've read it 10 times and I'm still confused everyone so that should say a lot so with no further Ado that has been our first oldw bass report we do have a another one over an on demand very shortly so uh make sure that you sign up to
