want to personally invite you to be sensitive to the spirit of giving you know when i was a child for her birthday for mother's day and for christmas my mother would always give me twenty dollars and she would tell me this is not yours to spend this is yours to go buy me something for my birthday or for christmas the reality is she later informed me that she was teaching me to number one always appreciate who she was and number two to develop the spirit of giving i want to suggest that that's exactly what god does with us because the bible makes it clear that the earth is the lord's the fullness thereof but he gives us the opportunity to be able to show him our appreciation for all that he does so please know that today there is the opportunity for you to bring your tithe into the storehouse i'm sure that all of us can testify that god has really been good to us especially in the midst of a pandemic now if by chance you haven't had any increase your substantial oil has not flowed at the same level that's a great theological way to say if you don't have any income please know god understands and without a doubt the church understands but for many of us we can really testify that god has in fact continued to bless us financially physically in all walks of our life god desires and expects that we would bring the tithe into the storehouse the bible makes it clear that the tithe does not belong to us so i want to remind you today that god honors faith and faith honors god always remember the bible says he that so sparingly will reap sparingly but he that sows bountifully will reap bountifully you know we're good stewards you know that this is a place where you can believe without a doubt that whatever you give will be used to extend the arms of the kingdom praises because we're excited about what's going to happen next month you need to put this on your calendar april the 17th what is the date what's the date that supernatural day of giving yes it is supernatural day of giving and jackie and i were just talking about how our lives have changed forever because of how we planted a seed on every year that we have supernatural day of giving but the interesting thing is we don't want you to wait no you don't want to wait i mean people are already starting to give dr boyd so you want to do that and i'm telling you like she mentioned it's changed faithfully declare that this is the year of production john 20 22 establishes a biblical standard that shall set the tone for this year this year the gifts and abilities that god placed in me will manifest like never before i am committed to a life that will acknowledge my position and therefore i will not entertain negative thoughts negative speech or negative people i am redeemed by the blood of christ and nothing or no one can stop me i believe that god has appointments and assignments for me that are specific and personal what god has for me is for me i must control my emotions and be ruled by the spirit and not my flesh this is the year that god will affirm promises in my life i cannot allow any person or spirit to cause me to doubt my identity god is a promise keeper and this is my year to fully receive all he has prepared for me everything that i have survived had a purpose for my destiny god makes no mistakes so everything works for my good favor operates in my life causing trying to offend anybody but there's only one god that died and three days later got up from the day that's why he's the champion not trying to insult anybody else but i feel like the prophet elijah you call on your god that's squatting i'll call on my god that's alive you call on your god that's in the grave i'll call on my god that the grave couldn't hold back you call on your god that's only written about in books but nobody's ever seen him on earth i'll call on my god that walked as my granddaddy would say the mundane shores of this earth my god our god well good morning welcome to home i i love some florida i ain't real happy about the leadership of the state but i love the state so thank you for hanging out with us today for those of you that this is your first time ever worshiping with us i've got a treat for you i'm getting ready to say something that sounds so presumptuous you're gonna be blessed today absolutely there is a word from the lord today in fact what i need you to do is not be selfish with this worship experience and this word t tweet somebody text somebody email somebody look let's go old school main apoca heist up the window and hollow out the window and just let them know that the mount is online right now if you don't have a smart tv turn on your dumb tv and go over there and hook it up some kind of a way so that you can connect because we believe that god has ordained this as a defining moment i want to remind you of several things before we get into the word today scholarship applications are now available on the website now you must be an active partner of the church in order to apply for a scholarship so it's not just open for everyone we have relieved some of the responsibilities because we've been in covet protocol for two years um so please avail yourselves of that but parents make sure that your young person completes the application you know if there's nothing else you've learned about educators they are sticklers for the rule i know elder raymond alexander one of our elders is watching today and he was my college biology professor he would always do a test at exactly eight o'clock young people i'm giving you some pre-college advice now if you know you're not a morning person don't sign up for eight o'clock biology and if your parking permit is on the other side of campus don't sign up for eight o'clock biology i would get to his class at 805 he would say pass up your paper and i would miss it end of the semester i was one point away from a c i went to his office and i said um dr alexander can i can i write a paper or something and he said well if i do that for you that's not fair to all of the other students in the class i wasn't really worried about all the other students in the class but he was because educators are sticklers for rules so please make sure that your young person fills out all of the application does all of the references and gets it in you cannot bring it to the church you have to mail it it has to be postmarked amen this is man i was just blown away during the pre-show with um dr angie and and minister jackie grice because they they introduced us to some women i knew about the women but for instance some of the things i'm learning this month this is women's history month i did not realize that women i knew women were bad to the bone and i knew african american women were bad earth to the bone but just some of the stuff that they invented i never ever knew about and so i just want to celebrate women celebrate the women in my life that um have just been she rose to me that are doing extraordinary things women and our fellowship women around the world so happy um women's history month don't forget april the 17th we're going to bring god our best praying for ukraine um you know man i it just breaks my heart every day when i see um different scenes about what's going on in ukraine it's just so amazing to see somebody have so much hatred and evil and wickedness in their heart they would just go provoke an attack on a nation and so please pray for our sisters and brothers in ukraine and and april we will be doing baptism i've been getting emails from some of you that this season has been so um motivating in your life that you want to be re-baptized we're going to work that out and we will be doing that in april you'll hear more about that stay tuned and then 20 days leading up to resurrection we will do our annual consecration moment just preparing our heart celebrating the resurrection of jesus christ so um check your emails and then the last thing the educators will really appreciate this educator's going to really appreciate this starting today we're going to help you with your weekly devotion so starting today there will asked jesus to have dinner with him so jesus went to his home and sat down to eat when a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume those of you in the room and those of you around the world can you just join me in shouting radical generosity radical generosity radical generosity father i pray for anointing that will enable me to make the word speak clearly i declare that we will never ever be the same after hearing and receiving the word this day i claim the authority to share the gospel in the name of jesus amen one of the blessings of my life one of the greatest blessings of my life i see so many spartan alum in here spartan supporters one of the greatest blessings in my life pastor marcus is sitting on the board at norfolk state university my albemarle good morning sister cobbs in philadelphia you might know my auntie she lives in philadelphia like philadelphia and sparta mississippi and so pastor furby one of the highlights is that the young man that graduated by grace thank you lordy is on the board of the university elder asked me all the time what was my number my rank when i graduated from norfolk state i don't remember my rank because that was not a priority i graduated and what i've learned is whether you were number five in line or number 505 in line my diploma has a green cover with gold writing has the same seal from the state of virginia that everybody else's seal has on it it's signed by harrison wilson who was the president of the college whether you graduated laude soon lordy magna laude or thank you lord you got the same diploma now you did get to wear a gold tassel with my degree i can go to the home goods store buy me a gold tassel if i really want to tassel dr andrew one of the highlights of being on the board was sitting in the board meeting and i'm sitting next to dr j anytime somebody tries to brag on their president i always tell them well we're the only school with where dr j is the president now that works most times unless it's a young person that's too young to remember who julius ervin was so we're sitting there in the board meeting and in the midst aisha of the board meeting staff comes in [Music] and whispers in dr jay's ear and in the middle of a presentation she says excuse me i need to step out and take a phone call okay now can you imagine you and board meeting your bosses are sitting around the table administrator comes in and says you got a phone call and you gonna shut the board meeting down to go take a phone call will you know this better be life or death hey man somebody y'all don't understand how boards work so we sitting there in the room while dr jay goes to answer a phone call you know and we're sitting there trying to play this off like that must be a major phone call she gonna just step out aboard me to take a phone call when she walks back in by then you know one or two of us two or three of us three or four of us four or five of us feeling some kind of a way like unless that was jesus calling you we want to know who was important enough to call you on the phone and you suspend the board meeting to go answer the phone she said well i apologize for taking the phone call but it was important i needed to take that well you know that ain't sufficient we need we need we we need come on y'all talk to me we need some details you just you just stepped out from the board meeting to take a phone call i hope it wants your cousin calling you to just let you know that your third cousin on your mama's side had a car you know i mean what what in the world would be important enough she said well i'm and you could tell you could tell you could tell you could tell it was it was going to be a different kind of announcement she said well i'm just really proud to announce to the board that the reason why you know i would not step out of the board meeting to take a phone call if it was not major well major is not always relative what's major to one person might not be major to another person so we still need some details pastor marcus she said well you know the university's endowment is 39 million dollars you know and i'm sitting there kind of proud like you know 39 million dollars ain't nothing to sneeze at she said but as of about 30 minutes ago the endowment now is 79 million dollars because we just received a 40 million dollar gift to the university that's unrestricted i remember sitting there saying first of all god who in the world can write a 40 million dollar check and then have the audacity to slow me down god because you know where i'm going to not put any restrictions on oh y'all know yeah i already got y'all stepped in your kitchen right now we put restrictions on our 13.50 that we gave to god last year we like god if i give this now what i need you to do is i need a new navigator i want to make sure that my rent is paid i want my mama to be healed i want my cousin to get saved can you imagine and right then god told me i've been holding dr angie this story for the for the sunday that we started in the stewardship campaign i believe that god is not just looking for givers now god is not just looking for folk that brag about bringing a tithe god is looking for people with radical generosity well what in the world is radical generosity come here i'm glad you asked radical generosity is when a woman can walk into somebody else's crib break open her alabaster box and begin to pour it out i'm talking to you sister rose in alexandria can you see this woman come in to the man's crib and open her alabaster box god told me watch this pastor chris minister chris god said i want you to understand that just like there are levels to the spirit of giving there are levels to the way i respond to givers oh god y'all need to put some hearts in the chat right there watch this he said when you give radically when you have a radical generosity pastor furby i feel some sunday morning rising up on sunday morning god knows y'all gonna come get your boy when you have a radical generosity watch this the first thing it does come here class lean into the screen go right up to the television because i'm coming right down your street radical generosity always shows and declares endurance [Music] okay watch this watch this watch this here it is look at verse 47 when they start to describe the lady what's this minister chris it says i tell you her sins and they are many have been forgiven now i used to say why they got to say that the sister had many sins the reality is all of us are sinners whether we got one sin or 32 sinners why they got to throw out pastor furby that the sister had many sins i want to suggest to you that it's just interpreting and dialoguing about the fact that this woman had survived sister sister deborah all the way in middleton delaware every now and then what i've learned come here come here y'all i'm gonna preach myself happy sometimes when god gives me an opportunity to give i'm not given trying to impress y'all i'm not giving trying to impress anybody else i'm giving because it's just a statement that i have endured i don't know who needs to hear this but you ought to be ready to give god something radical today just because a million people died during covet you ought to be ready to give god something radical because you know i survived i wish i had about three worshipers that would just jump up and say i'm just giving because i survived i'm giving because i can give i'm giving because i got something left i'm giving because my bed didn't become my cooling board when this woman gets in there and she recognizes that she has been able to endure is there anybody out there around the world that'll jump up right now and say god i gotta bless you not because i deserve it but because i've been doing i've come through hell and i'm still here i come through heart attacks and i'm still here i've lost loved ones and i'm still here lost jobs and i'm still here they lied on me and i'm still here they said i'd never be anything and i'm still here watch this hebrews 10 36 says patient endurance is what you need now so that you will continue to do god's will period then you will receive all that he has promised can i come right down your street god didn't lie to you god didn't forget what he said god didn't change his mind god didn't write it off it wasn't written in dry erase he didn't erase it whatever god said to you i promise you it's going to come to pass all god is trying to make sure is that you endure the season that you're in and if you endure the season i promise you that everything god promised everything that god shared stop being depressed stop gonna get my new house what i suggest you do when you are radical in your giving is you give and leave it blank okay why why bishop because his ways are not our ways his thoughts are higher than our money madness so being that it is march we took a play on words and instead of march madness it is money madness so if you're trying to figure out what will we be talking about during this month during this series bing bing bing you got it money money money money money you hear that look listen let's listen that quiet look we gonna hit that money money money money and y'all know how to follow directions y'all saw how i threw that to y'all y'all just oh y'all killed it y'all killed it i love it all right so look um being that uh our goal is to help you all at this age to conquer finances so we're just gonna have a good conversation about money and see where it lands us right so i remember being y'all age and i tricked up my money i ain't ain't ain't gonna fight when i was your age i tricked up my money with my first job right um when i first started working i wasn't really i didn't have the concept of money you know young people we understand we don't necessarily fully grasp the concept of what we're supposed to do with money and that's what i did i tricked mine up uh so uh one thing that i was taught is the principle of tithing we were taught the principle of tithing and i know for a fact that tithing works tithing works so today's topic today is secure the bag secured the bag secure the bag so so put it in the chat put in the chat secure the bag type it up secure the bag so in talking about securing the bag what does it mean to secure the bag means to get your money get your get your money right okay always have it get your money right it means to save it up so that you can get whatever you need in your life okay listen there brother it's it's important to save it up i love it i love it what else what don't just spend it on things that you feel like would be a necessity but spend it on things that you know that you need to spend it on okay all right cool so i love it i love it all right so um so we securing the bag today so do you currently have a job yes yes all right where do you work at uh i work at the food lion like across from our apartment okay where we live where you work at i work at hardy's hearties bro that was my first job well you work at hardy's oh so y'all oh cause y'all twins y'all had to go get the same job y'all so so do y'all work the same shift pretty much no same schedule no no okay look well my first job was hardest man this is exciting yeah yeah that's why that's why we click yo that's why we click i would still be as hard as the day if they paid a little bit more yeah yeah yeah speaking of how was that person matter of fact i was doing so well at hardiness at a young age i got an opportunity to be included in the uh employee handbook so when you have you know how you have orientation i went and took professional pictures and i was in the book with my uniform on they gave me a fresh uniform i used to make the chicken so i had flour all on my old uniform so they gave me a new one they were like you can't not wear that one for pictures i didn't get paid for that but um uh they've been using my face ever since i don't know if y'all y'all still got orientation and all that stuff yes sir okay so i i wonder am i still in the book you didn't see it i didn't see it like i was a young lad back then i was a young guy so you might see it all right so um i can't well i said it was my first job but my first job was actually cutting grass me and my brother been cutting grass since we was nine on 10 years old so i actually been securing the bag for quite some time i just didn't start at 16 at 9 or 10. uh we we started that so today we'll be talking about stewardship so you know wrapped up in talking about uh securing the bag we're going to talk about stewardship and stewardship means the job of supervising or taking care of something such as an organization or property all right so now if we want to talk about stewardship and to make it biblical we're going to bring it into where we are right so as christians as believers we believe in one god and we believe that god created all things in earth right and we believe as stewards that we are supposed to take care of everything that god has for us everything that god placed here that is our job our main goal is to take care of everything here on earth so we're going to jump right into it stewardship and securing it back right so psalms 24 and 1. first scripture in psalms 24 1 we'll be reading the new living translation and it reads says this the earth is the lord's and everything in it the world and all its people belong to him the first point is everything belongs to god everything belongs to god that is the first point everything belongs to god the first point all right so um the scripture says the earth is the lord's and everything in it the world and all its people belong to him he owns it all he owns it all he owns us he owned the job he owned the money he owned everything right and it's no way that we could do anything to take the ownership away from god for real so we don't want to forget that if we keep the concept in order to secure the bag you have to know that it belongs to god now i know some of y'all probably got confused just then i probably lost somebody in the chat y'all was like hold on wait a minute how am i securing a bag that don't belong to me i know some of y'all are asking that question like how in the world uh can i secure it you just told me it belong to god well i believe that you can still secure the bag as long as you steward it well right right so god gave it to us god gave us the capabilities the resources he gave us everything we need in order to secure the bag right so in securing that bag if we steward it well then hey i think we're good to go we still secure the bag in the lord right so so i believe that you can still still uh secure the bag if you so so how do y'all feel how what is one way that you could secure the bag and steward it so say fancy if you're saying that you're gonna stool you're gonna secure the bag but it's not yours how do you secure the bag you gotta make sure you uh god gets his cut of the money hold on oh y'all good hold on y'all jumping ahead now hold on wait a minute now wait a minute no but i like that you definitely definitely have to dive and you get so we'll get into that so in securing it you just got to make sure you stood at real right so ain't nothing worse than seeing somebody or letting somebody borrow something and um they return it to you all messed up or it ain't it's got to be the worst ain't nothing worse than letting somebody borrow something and they let somebody else borrow it oh you know what i'm saying that's no good that's no good um so so yes you can secure the back as long as you store it well you got me all right so jumping down to the next scripture and we're gonna jump all over the places for a scripture because everything that we need is right in the bible and i love it i use this opportunity to share that with y'all so first corinthians four verses one through two first corinthians four verse one through two new living translation and it reads is this so look at apollos and me as mere servants of christ who have been put in charge of explaining god's mysteries now a person who is put in charge as a manager must be faithful so while securing the bag you have to that's my second point be a good manager you have to be a good manager that's how you manage your money you got to be able to manage it how how in the world could you secure a bag if you can't manage it you know what i mean so just like apostle paul and apollos we are called to be good managers and to be faithful over what god has entrusted us with right so being a good manager over the back that we secured and while being a good steward is the first what what what is one of the first steps that we got to do you got to tithe you got to tie and what is tithing 10 of either your paycheck or anything sorry ten percent all right i was trying to figure out where you were going with that you said ten percent or no ten percent of yeah yeah so what is another thing that we have to do you also have to give an offering okay definitely definitely you got to give an offer so not only do you have to give an offer right um now what i don't want you to do is mistake your offering for tithe do not take away from your tithe to give an offering right because an offering is above and beyond your type so your tithe is what you're supposed to you have to pay your tithe that is the first thing of being a good manager and being a steward over what god has blessed you with is to pay your tithe give back god his right and then you give an offering what is one of the third things oh you also need to pay yourself also okay so like like an econ they teach us to pay yourself first 10 goes to yourself but i feel like that if you pay yourself first that takes out of the concept of stewardship come on that's sir yes sir so look i don't want you all to say nothing i want to give xavier an opportunity to answer this next thing what else do we do what's others say say it again say it again with your chest bless others you gotta bless others you gotta bless them i've seen you peek over here at my tablet too [Laughter] no you gotta bless others you gotta bless others one thing that i love about this whole financial piece is uh elder valerie brown she wrote a great book it is the miseducation of the christian and she broke that thing down to the 10th degree right she broke it down into percentages and if you all haven't got to go to amazon and get that book quick look look go and get the book now don't wait until you're an adult to get the book you can learn about finances right now and she breaks it down into percentages right so ten percent uh uh you pay your tithes ten percent go to god ten percent you pay yourself that's savings uh ten percent you bless others with and then the other seventy percent you do what live off of it you live off the seventy percent you live off the seventy percent now that is being a good manager over what god has blessed you with so um it's best to learn this stuff now rather than wait until you get to adulthood because bad habits carry over and and how you start is how you finish right so it's very very important that you get a hold of it now it's important i'm telling you i'll never forget when i when i was about y'all age and i i like to give my testimony and tell my story so that it helps other people through it right so when i first got my first job working at hardest i got my first paycheck i had saved up a lot of hours i worked a lot out so it was a big check right so i went we used to have this store in church land called motions i went and bought five pair of shoes wow yeah my first chat you know most people uh get a first fruit to christ and you know bring it to the church yeah i took mine to the shoe store yeah yeah yeah see i'm the oldest of six kids right so my mom didn't buy she my mom and dad didn't buy shoes all year for us we got them at the beginning of the school year mm-hmm christmas time uh-huh and you might have got something for taxes during tax time yeah yeah so so look i wanted to be cool and i want to be fresh so i took my money and went and blew it right uh let's just say i didn't get an opportunity to do to do that with the second chance you know no my momma said hold on wait a minute look i let the first one get away we're gonna reel this on in because you need some responsibility you need to so she ended up giving us some bills so then i had to start paying car insurance yeah so so mama made sure i was a good how much was the car insurance uh and we don't want to talk about it because i still i still feel some type of way about everybody because it was split between me and my brother and we weren't even driving yet but that's a whole nother conversation over here mom we need to talk so the next scripture we're gonna get into is matthew 25 verses 14 through 30. matthew 25 verses 14 through 30 and it's the new living translation so because of time we're not going to read all those verses so look y'all got scared y'all like whoa that's a lot of scriptures we're just going to jump right into it i'm going to paraphrase it right so there was a man that was going on a long trip he called all his servants together and entrusted him with the money that he was uh that he while he was gone so he gave five bags of silver to one and two bags of silver to the other ones right and then this other one he gave one bag of silver to that was the last guy and he divided it all into proportions uh according to their abilities right then he left on his trip he came back after a long trip and called all his servants together right and just to see what they had done with his money one the one that had five bags he doubled his and the one that had two bags also did the same thing he made it flip yeah he made he flipped his money and brought you know it made some interest made some more money now that last one that he only gave one bag too yeah did absolutely nothing with it yeah yeah as a matter of fact he didn't look he he was he knew he was so bad with money bro was like yeah because i know how i do with money i'm going to dig this hole and put it in a hole so that at least when he come back and asked for his money at least i got his money so i can respect the fact that he didn't fumble the bag you know he didn't he didn't fumble it he said look look at least i'm gonna have this when you get back right right so most of the time and hold on so so my man the the guy that gave him the money was hot i mean he was furious he was really really upset right started calling all kind of names and all that stuff right like you he even told him you could have at least put my money in the bank to the point where it would have made some entries or something but instead you just put in the hole and did absolutely nothing with it like he was so upset with him so he ordered them to throw him into utter darkness throw him and get rid of him because this joker here i ain't doing nothing with it now most of the time when you hear this scripture you hear it talking about the talents and the parable of the talents that what you don't do with your talent god will pull it from you and give it to somebody else right right but i want to stay in the context of what the scripture is saying he messed his money up he was not good with his right um so the third point um while securing the bag you got to be accountable be accountable while securing the bank you got to be accountable so let me ask y'all can you be held accountable for your bag yes yes okay all right all right now he gave it to them then once he gave it to them it became their bag right it became their bag so he was expecting them to do what they were supposed to do with it right uh so are you responsible enough to do what is right you have to be i need you to answer this in the chat are you responsible out there are you responsible enough to do what's right i just need to know type it in the chat and let us know can we monitor in the chat too we want you to be involved in on this conversation right so the servant that only had the one bag was not accountable it was not accountable whatsoever do you all think he was accountable no i mean bro just put it now i can i can respect the fact that he put it in the hole and didn't fumble it but he was not accountable right um he didn't even so the key thing about the parable is that it says in the scripture where he gave them what he thought that they can handle uh-huh you know he gave it to him he said look i knew you can handle this so he actually thought the one when he gave him the one bad look i'm gonna give this one back because you should be able to do something with this right so at that point um i what i think about is god does that with us god gives us what we can handle you know what i'm saying he'll give it to us and see what we do it it is up to us at that point to make it make sense right yep you know he's gonna give it to you now but he's gonna give us what how many of us we've all seen people fumble back how many of us know somebody that messed up some money got a lump sum of money and messed it up well how many of us uh uh uh know somebody that messed up an opportunity you know all that fumble in the back if you didn't take advantage of an opportunity you're getting scared being scared to go get what you really want that's it that's it so you got to step up do your thing and do it well you got to step up do your thing and do it well so this brings us into our fourth verse fourth verse and the fourth verse is colossians 3 verses 23 through 24. colossians 3 verse 23 and it says this work willingly at whatever you do as though you were working for the lord rather than for people remember that the lord will give you an inheritance as your reward and that the master you are serving is christ right so my fourth point is receive your reward receive your reward so so check this out just know that if you properly secure your bag and steward it well you will receive your reward you got to know that if you if you do what you're supposed to do god gonna bless you on the back end you know what i'm saying because because remember it don't belong to us anyway so we got to take care of what he let us borrow what he entrusted us with and we're talking about god another another way to put that is would god have given you the bag in the first place if he if he either didn't allow you or didn't trust you with it that's it you're not gonna get look the scripture say he won't put more on you than you can handle right you know what i'm saying so he wouldn't have gave it to you if you didn't so i'm rocking with that thank you for that so if you take care of god's business he'll take care of yours right that's true simple and basic all right so the scare the scripture says work willingly at whatever you do anything whatever you do as though you were working for the lord rather than for people and the lord will give you an inheritance as your reward right so at heart is i started seeing promotions that everybody else didn't see because i was a good steward over what god put me god put me in that position right so i started carrying it like that i started carrying it like you know what i don't work for people because if you put your stuff if you put your mouth if you put your all into people people can let you down yeah people can upset you right so instead of letting people get to you i would flip it mentally and say you know what nah i don't work for these people i work for god just like what you were just saying exactly god put me in position to even have this job right i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him it wouldn't happen if god didn't allow it that's it that's right so i figured if i carried it like god would wrought would reward my efforts because i was giving all the glory to him that hey i felt like he would reward me for that i felt like i would would be doing the right thing um and and like i just stated i would not have this job if it wasn't for god i wouldn't be able to make this money if it wasn't for god so i started using i started stewarding my stuff better uh according to scripture i said man i can't just go out here and just mess the money up i can't just go out here and you know just throw it all away i gotta start putting some stuff in the right places you know what i mean cause y'all we're speaking about fumbling in the back have you have you all ever followed the back i don't want to be out here by myself you're telling me oh yeah definitely yeah i think all three of us have done it at some point at some point in time we have okay i guess let's go in order of look see this is a family thing so y'all you know y'all live in the same house right yeah y'all all got jobs and you're all fumbled at some point yeah y'all tease each other for fumbling in the bag yes you spent your money on that you know you probably shouldn't have uh so it's not so much when i had my job it was a sweet 16 or some point after that i uh i am the for context i'm the firstborn granddaughter okay both side of the family i'm very spoiled okay and because i'm spoiled i end up getting a lot of money for my birthday the thing is i'm also like really into games and stuff so once i had like at least 300 i spent like a good 100 on a video game okay okay yeah you really threw that yeah you you bumbled that bag yeah 300 you took yeah yeah yeah yeah did you pay tithe off to 300 though i do okay okay yeah you really fumbled about hey isaiah give me one uh make it quick time is ticking well there was one time right i was supposed to like tithe and everything and i just didn't okay and i blew like a hundred two hundred dollars on football stuff that's real yeah and see that's what'll happen if you don't properly steward your money if you don't pay your tithe and do this stuff you'll have a hole in your pocket it will get away from you what i did was the pure definition of blowing the blow in the bag okay i spent nearly 800 solely on game stuff nearly 800. yeah we're going to go and end it on that note because that's a lot of money you can come with a big bag right there all right so stewardship is about using the resources that god has entrusted us with to accomplish the purpose he has for them everything we have from possessions to the abilities uh is a gift from god and it's intended for us to serve a significant purpose all right so remember in order to secure the bag you have to first know everything belongs to god you have to then be a good manager and then you have to be accountable right and then you just know if you properly secure your bag in the house we did nothing at all so all we could do was sit sit sit sit we did not like it not one little bit bump and then something went bump and how that bump made us jump we looked then we saw him step on the mat we looked and we saw him the cat in the hat he said to us why do you sit there like that i know it is wet and the sun is not sunny but we can have lots of good fun that is funny [Music] i know some good games we could play said the cat i know some new tricks said the cat in the hat a lot of good tricks i will show them to you your mother will not mind at all if i do then sally and i did not know what to say our mother was out for the rest of the day [Music] but our fish said no no make that cat go away tell the cat in the hat you do not want to play you should not be here you should not be about he should not be here when your mother is out now now have no fear have no fear said the cat play tricks are not bad said the cat in the hat why we can have fun lots of good fun if you wish with the game that i call up up up with a fish put me down to the fish this is no fun at all put me down to the fish i do not wish to fall have no fear said the cat i will not let you fall i will hold you up high as i stand on a ball with a book in one hand and a cup of my hat but that is not all i can do said the cat look at me look at me now said the cat with a cup and a cake on top of my hat i can hold up two books i can hold up the fish and a little toy and some milk on a dish and look i can hop up and down on a ball but that is not all oh no that is not all [Music] look his head and came down with the bump from there on the ball and sally and i we saw all the things fall all right fish came down too he fell into a pot he said do i like this oh no i do not this is not a good game said a fish as he lit no i do not like it not one little bit now look what you did said the fish to the cat now look at this house look at this and look at that you sank our toy ship sank it deep in the cake you shook up our house as you bent our new rake you should not be here when our mother is out you get out of this house said the fish in the pot but i like to be here oh i like it a lot send the cat in the hat to the fish in the pot i will not go away i do not wish to go and so said the cat so so so i will show you another good game that i know [Music] and then he ran out and then fast as a fox the cat in the hat came back in a box a big red wood box it was shut with a hook now look at this chick said the cat take a look [Music] then he got up on top with the tip of his hat i call this game but in a box said the cat in this box are two things i will show to you now you will like these two things i will pick up the hook you will see something new two things and i call them thing one and thing two these things will not bite you they want to have fun and out of the box okay two and things one they ran fast to us they said how do you do would you like to shake hands sir i'm my name is car and hiding is my direct to basketball and you bounce the ball to whenever then someone gives you money okay he said you bounce the ball to somebody else and guess what somebody of metal and paper and i think it's used for goods and services okay awesome job all right so that's exactly what money is we exchange it for goods or services all right now let's go to our playbook which is going to be our bible and let's see how we what we can learn about money today and minister patrick put my whole call all up in my scripture but we're not gonna go there all right let's go matthew 25 14 15 14-15 it says again the kingdom of heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip he called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone he gave five bags of silver to one two bags of silver to another and one bag of silver to the last dividing it in proportion to their abilities he then left on his trip so the first thing i want you to know about money is that it has value all right the man didn't give all of his servants the same amount of silver he gave some five he gave one two and then he gave one one so money has value all right okay so here we go what what's what's this coin worth a quarter it is a quarter how much does it work 25 cents 25 cents carter what's this it is how much is it worth what it is one it is one dollar all right and then we have this other little silver coin here all right so what's this going a dime not quite close it's bigger than a dime a quarter that was the quarter this right here is a nickel and it's worth how much because i know you know five is worth five cents all right so now i want you to take a trip on down the hallway with miss leah and andre and check out money corners all right so i want you to get up and i want you to play at home too if you don't know the value of the money shown ask your parents or your siblings for some help all right money corn good morning mountaineers i've got andre here with me and we're gonna play a game called money corners i'm gonna put a certain amount of money up here for him to figure out how much it is yep it's a math game he's gotta add it up and then i'm gonna tell him to hop to walk to skip whatever i want to get to the right place and he only has 10 seconds to get there so whatever i tell andre to do i want you to do it at home okay are you ready here's the first one andre gotta come figure out how much money this is 25 cents so i want you to skip to 25 cents okay boys and girls hope you're skipping at home oh god yeah over here all right now you gotta run back all right here we go with the next one how much is that andre a penny so i want you to walk backwards to find the pin oh look a penny good job here is skip to my lou till you find the nickel welcome back well how did you do okay so think about basketball based upon where players stand they get a different value of points all right and so players and coaches have to know this so they are able to keep track of how many points they get in order to win the game alright so we have to know the value of money so we can know how much we have to pay for stuff and to make sure nobody cheats us out of our money so the question now is how do you get money all right we're going to start with you carter carter how do you get money from digging you get money from digging okay so sometimes you dig and you find money all right caleb how do you get money by working by working how do you get money by doing my chores without being asked i love her point she said do your chores without being asked so our second point is the money is earned so we're gonna go back to our playbook and we're gonna look back at that verse but we're only gonna look at verse 15 and it says he gave five bags of silver to one two bags of silver to another and one bag of silver to the last dividing it in proportion to their abilities then he left on his trip so the second thing i want you all to know is money is earned our playbook says he divided the bags in proportion to their abilities so their abilities can be how well they serve how well they work or how well they could be trusted they did something right to hold the money look at the cat and they had bringing in money for doing stuff all right so remember how do you earn money they told us how they earn money the basketball players earn points how do they earn points by making shots and we earn money by they earn money just for being on the show i earned she earns money by doing her chores without being asked don't forget that's an important key there all right she has to be asked she doesn't get her money he earned his money by working he said he just go on the treasure hunt and he did and he might find him some money so maybe you get money by making good grades all right i'm the children's pastor and guess what i love my job and i get paid for it that's the ad bonus all right so let's review first point money has value money has value the second point is money is what are we told it's what you know you know money is what what's our second point help them out kennedy money is earned money is earned what is it money is earned i love it all right so money has value money is earned all right so think about don't forget our basketball player so remember they have to know where to stand in order to know the value of the shot that they're shooting all right and then that helps them to be able to know how many points they're gonna get and that helps them to be able to win the game all right so we're going to pray real quick so let's buy our hands lord thank you for blessing my parents and providing them with the job lord thank you for providing our needs and some of our wants lord speak to us about what you would like us to do in order to earn money and help us to be able to value the money that you bless us with in jesus name we pray amen well i want to thank my guests for not one little bit then sally and i saw them run down the hall we saw those two things bug their kites on the wall both dump the bump down the hall on the wall then two and thing one they ran up they ran down on a string of one kite we saw mother's new gown her gown with the dots that are pink white and red then we saw one kite book on the head of her bed [Music] then those things ran about with big bumps jumps and kicks with hops and big thumps and all kinds of bad drinks and i said i do not like the way that they play if mother could see this oh what would she say [Music] then our fish said look look and our fish shook with fear your mother is on her way home do you hear or what will she do to us what will she say oh she will not like it to find us this way so do something fast in the fish do you hear i saw her your mother your mother is here so as fast as you can think of something to do you will have to get rid of thing one and thing two so as fast as i could i went after my neck and i said with my neck i could get to my back i bet without with my neck i can get those things yet [Music] then i let down my neck it came down with a plop and i had them at last those two things had to stop then i said to the cat now you do as i say you pack up those things and you take them away oh dear said the cat you did not like our game oh dear what a shame what a shame what a shame [Music] then he shut up the things in the box with the hook and the cat went away with a sad kind of look this is good said the fish he has gone away yes but your mother will come and she will find this big mess and this mess is so big so deep and so tall we cannot pick it up there is no way at all [Music] and then who was back in the house why the cat have no fear of this mess and the cat in the hat i always pick up all my play things and so i will show you another good trick that i know then we saw him pick up all the things that were down he picked up the cake and the rake and the gown and the milk and the strings and the books and the dish and the fans and the cup and the ship and the fish and he put them away then he said that is that and then he was gone with a tip of his hat then our mother came in and she said to us too did you have any fun tell me what did you do and sally and i did not know what to say should we tell her the things that went on there that day should we tell her about it now what should we do well what would you do if your mother asked you hey hey hey okay [Music] [Music] [Music] the year of production i boldly and faithfully declare that this is the year of production john 20 22 establishes a biblical standard that shall set the tone for this year this year the gifts and abilities that god placed in me will manifest like never before i am committed to a life that will acknowledge my position and therefore i will not entertain negative thoughts negative speech or negative people i am redeemed by the blood of christ and nothing or no one can stop me i believe that god has appointments and assignments for me that are specific and personal [Music] god has for me is for me i must control my emotions and be ruled by the spirit and not my flesh this is the year that god will affirm promises in my life i cannot allow any person or spirit to cause me to doubt my identity god is a promise keeper and this is my year to fully receive all he has prepared for me everything that i have survived had a purpose for my destiny god makes no mistakes so everything works for my good favor operates in my life causing doors to open for me that no one can prevent or slow down i recognize and declare that god will accelerate performance in every area of my life the presence of god in my life will produce new ideas new inventions and new to be able to sit on the board at my university norfolk state university graduated by the grace of god and now look at god um god has a funny way of taking the foolish things to confound the wise the young man that barely got the privilege of walking across the stage pastor fergie now sits on the board in fact is the secretary of the board this is what's so crazy minister chris as a secretary of the board now whenever we're making transactions happen i am the one watch this dr angie i am the one who signs all official documents binding the university so here's what's so amazing stay with me i'm going somewhere the young man that graduated not magna laude and not summa lord and not lauded but graduated thank you lordy i graduated truly by the grace of god and until my daughter had um brought it to my attention i didn't realize that at the december graduation every diploma that a young person received minister euless who walked across the stage had two signatures on it y'all better come get me i'm getting ready to run myself one signature was the president of the university the other signature was a little boy from p-town named kim w brown in it only like god to be able to take somebody who graduates by grace and then allows them to mature into life to the point that everybody has my signature on their diploma okay watch this so so i alluded to the fact at eight o'clock that i was sitting in a board meeting about a year ago and dr j gets a phone call our illustrious president of the university i'm going somewhere stay with me it's not a remix so she gets up from the board meeting goes out to take a phone call and when she comes back in all of us have been wondering what kind of phone call would be so important that she would suspend the board meeting well when she comes back in she affirms that the beautiful sister mackenzie scott has decided to give the university 40 million dollars now here's what's so interesting about that prior to that gift the endowment of the university was 39 million dollars what's so amazing about that though pastor furby is i thought it was a deja vu moment because many of you are aware that i not only sit on the board at norfolk state but i sit on the board at elizabeth city state university it was two weeks earlier that i had been sitting in a board meeting at elizabeth city when the same kind of moment happens and chancellor comes in to declare that sister scott miscot has given billionaire scott has given 30 million dollars to elizabeth city state university so can you imagine how i'm sitting there and they watch don't you no come on i see you go ahead and put in the chat shoot some hearts right there i told them at eight o'clock today that this is the new shout in the virtual church pick them up put them down just keep hitting that heart button and so the reality is doctor andrew you know a brother got some issues got some issues so pastor furby in the back of my mind i really started to think okay let me go a step further what you all might not know is that the rector i'm going somewhere i promise you director at virginia state is my lovely wife elder valerie k brown and the reality is miss scott also gave virginia state a significant amount of millions of dollars well you know you ain't got to be rocket science to figure this out that i started to sit there and say hold on my boo is at virginia state i'm at elizabeth city state i'm at norfolk state there might be some favor on me okay i know y'all y'all won't gonna handle that but that's all right see if you can't encourage yourself stop waiting for somebody else to encourage i'm going somewhere but here's what's amazing after seeing the benevolence the radical generosity of this woman because as far as i know watch this here's what's crazy she has never been on the campus of virginia state college university she has never been on the campus of norfolk state college university she has never been on the campus of elizabeth city state university and yet she gave what is over 100 million dollars between those three schools never been on the campus i'm talking to somebody right now that's watching us that has never been in this building um you know i'm gonna leave that alone never been on the campus never been on the campus but i'm gonna leave that alone and so i sat there dr andrew here's where i want to go and then i'll jump into my four little points and i'll be out of your way i started to say god what is it what is it what is it that causes you to be able to prosper somebody to the point that they can just write a 40 million dollar check what is it see see you're sitting there you ought to be right now you ought to be in your kitchen saying god i want to know that answer god god can you help me i want to know that answer see you so busy wallowing in your low self-esteem that you think that god can't do it for you but i started asking i started asking i said god what does it take to be able to be the person that you can tell just write a 30 million dollar check what does it take to be the person that you can tell to write a 40 million dollar check and i i won't read it for the answer y'all probably not ready for the answer anyway so go ahead and shoot me some pre-answer hearts go ahead and shoot me some pre-answer hearts because you might not want to hit another heart after i tell you the reason because i know it's your sanctified self you think it was prayer life he didn't tell me the person had to be able to pray good i know you sitting there saying where the person needed to fast he mentioned nothing about turning your plate down as the old saints say and so he started i said god it must be they were serving i said and he said well how can it be that when she's never even been to the campus he says so you know it ain't about service he said it's all the stuff that y'all in church have made the things that really caused me to move but that ain't what causes me to position somebody god you better come get your boy because i feel like i'm gonna help somebody i said god don't keep holding holding back on me will you tell me he said it's really simple i just need to know i can trust you okay i know i knew you weren't gonna be able to say amen right there i said well god i got saints that i can trust he said he said no no let me tell you he said right now i got a whole lot of people that are saying god if you ever blessed me i promise you i'll i'll do what you ask me he said i want you to understand they the same folk that won't give me a tie if they won't give me ten cent out of a dollar if they won't give me a dollar out of ten dollars if they won't give me ten dollars out of a hundred dollars if they won't give me a hundred dollars out of a thousand dollars if they won't give me a thousand dollars out of ten thousand dollars if they won't give me ten thousand dollars out of a hundred thousand dollars if they won't give me a hundred thousand dollars out of a million dollars if they won't give me a million dollars out of ten million dollars then what in the world makes you think that if i rolled 300 million in their life that they would be able to bring he said there are some people i need you to get up go ahead and put in there right now i see you i see you all the way in delaware put it in the chat god i promise you you can trust me i got word for you god told me to tell you it's not what you say is what you do you've already proven whether god can trust you or not don't jump on the trust me board today because i'm preaching on generosity god said you have already proven one way or another whether i can trust you with more you have not listened to scripture i got a revelation pastor forever he said if y'all have been paying attention it's been a test all the time he said listen to what i say if you are faithful over a few things i'll make you a ruler over much he said in order for me to put you in position where you can give more you've got to prove that you've been able to handle what i've already been able to give you okay watch this i'm gonna go all in i got about 17 minutes here's what's so amazing when i started to look at this woman in the story put yourself in a story and stop being you know so spiritual sister girl rolls in minister chris unannounced there is no offertory period in the text pastor furby ain't no ushers passing the plate ain't no marching music they're not marching around to the table nobody has said that this is the portion of service that we can all participate in it's not even a given moment and the sister gets up walks over to jesus breaks open what the text says is an expensive box of perfume and pours it on jesus radical generosity so i said okay god what is it that radical generosity releases watch this here it is sister natasha all the way in costa rica costa rica in the house watch this generosity pastor furby you might need to come get me because i feel like i'm a run like my my young minister watch this right here troy radical generosity always recognizes grace [Music] okay see if i can show it to you look at verse 47 they start talking about the lady listen to how they articulate who she is he says i tell you her sins hyphen and they are many hyphens have been forgiven okay y'all mr shout cue y'all mr shelter you still trying to scramble them eggs girlfriend i need to tell you them eggs gonna burn if you stay connected to this sermon you might want to cut the eye off and move the pan over and eat after i finish preaching because what i've learned is every now and then i come in church and i have already said all i'm giving is this amount today that's all i'm gonna give today and then i get in the presence of god and i start to reflect on how many times i disappointed him how many times i didn't do what he wanted me to do how many times he asked me to do one thing and i went another way how many times i'm glad god can keep a secret and you don't know some of my story as transparent as you think i am there is never gonna be a day when i'm gonna tell you everything about me elder or the family because there are some things i'm taking to my grave god i feel like lifting you up right now and when i think about the fact that in spite of who i am and what i haven't done and how i've messed up that god still provide this morning when i got up i still had some bacon and some eggs this morning when i got up i still had water and some toothpaste this morning when i got up i still had to decide which color suit i was gonna wear and which pair of shoes i was gonna put on my feet i had to go to a sock drawer when i didn't always have a sock drawer i didn't always have a sock drawer for my white socks and a sock drawer for my ankle length socks and a sock drawer for my church socks and you want to know why i give i give because it's my way of recognizing it's the grace of god and do i have anybody in here we got some door keepers and some greeters in here anybody in here you ready to give because you know the reason you still alive ain't got nothing to do with how good you are it's grace baby the reason why you got something to drive is not because of how intelligent you are it's grace that you gotta call it's grace that you didn't get killed it's grace that kobe didn't take you out the woman gets in there and says with all my sins i still get to be in the presence of god can i get somebody around the world to just stand up in your kitchen stand up in your bedroom and say god i'm not thanking you for my call i'm not thanking you for my health i'm thanking you for grace grace i said romans 5 8 says but god showed his great love for us by sending christ to die for us wow we were yet sinners i don't know about you but i'ma go ahead and say this i just don't believe you can walk back in this building after being out for two years still got your house still got your car and give god five dollars i just don't believe it i just don't believe when i look at the last two years and i think about how my grandbaby has had covert and still here starting to talk now my son has had covert my other grandson has had covert when i start to think about there is nothing more humbling than the whole family lining up at the doctor and you watching the grandbaby that's months old have to tolerate them sticking something up her nostril and other people are gone and yet oh we still here god when i break open my alabaster box it's because i'm recognizing it was grace that kept me i don't deserve to be here i should not be here okay i gotta move so watch this radical generosity recognizes grace but then the second thing check this out pastor favorite radical generosity not only recognizes grace but it reflects growth okay i was talking to minister chris in between worship experiences this and he didn't even know he this is my second point he said he was in eight o'clock service and god said to him don't even think about bringing me this year what you gave me last year can somebody shoot i feel like we heart deficient right now so sister alicia from new york sister glass can you shoot some hearts for me right there sister sister oh my god winston langham from spain can you put some hearts in the chat right now because i know some people can't can't heart it up right now put some prayer claps in the chat because what i've learned is let's go back to the scripture and jesus said to the woman this verse 50. stay with me how do you reconcile this minister eulessie says the woman's faith saved her okay hold on hold on god i feel your glory in the room god i feel your glory in the room this the same woman that they call immoral chris they call her immoral says she got more sins than you can number but jesus said girlfriend your faith major okay the problem is jesus never sees us the way everybody else sees us this woman starts to operate by faith so what happens is okay um gotta go i am not sanctified [Music] i am being sanctified sanctification is not this that's dancing in the spirit in fact depending on the context that you're in this is not dancing in the spirit everywhere if you're in the right context it's dancing in the spirit if you at the party you ain't dancing in the spirit but stay with me sanctification is this [Music] yo y'all yo we heard people say this before i'm not who i'm supposed to be but i'm not who i used to be that's what sanctification is sanctification is a fancy theological precept to articulate growth so i want to suggest to you that what happens is okay remember at eight o'clock i suggested that the reason why the pharisee knew how expensive the perfume was is because maybe he was the man that had given it to the woman took a little license there because history suggests that the woman's issue was man [Music] slow class pastor ferb slow class online watch this the woman has had an issue with men folk the woman has had an issue with me and folk i'm gonna say it one time for those people that had the volume down low on their device the woman has had an issue with menfolk now she's in an environment with all men and the issue that she usually would wrestle with she's not wrestling with anymore oh god i don't know if you feel like i feel but the moment that you step into something and you start to recognize that the demons that used to hold you no longer hold you anymore you remember when it folks said the right thing to you you would go to slapping and cussing and now you respond different you react different which is a sign that i'm growing i'm growing i'm growing when you realize you're growing you'll break open your alabaster box and give god everything you got i don't know who needs to hear this but when i give to god it's a sign that i'm acknowledging that the demons that used to hold me back the struggles that used to hold me in bondage no longer hold me in bondage that's why he says woman you've grown some now your faith has made you whole i love second timothy chapter five because it really helps us he says work hard so you can present yourself to god and receive his approval when i become a radical giver when my generosity gets radical it's because i'm not trying to impress you i'm trying to get god's approval i want to let god know i've grown watch this radical generosity recognizes grace radical generosity reflects growth kendrick check this out radical generosity releases guidance okay got two claps in the room can i get three hearts online i'm talking to you you've been asking god for answers it's going to take a little bit more than just prayer i know you didn't want to hear that you've been asking god for direction no matter how much you keep oiling your head up it's gonna take a little bit more than just the oil you've been asking god for some wisdom it doesn't matter how many days you starve yourself faith without works is dead this woman was looking for god to say something and the way she provokes jesus to say something is by breaking open that alabaster box and gives radically watch this have y'all ever noticed have you ever noticed that as soon as the woman opens up the alabaster box [Music] listen to jesus the text says in verse four and then jesus answered his thoughts pastor furby i'm going to mess somebody up because church has taught you that this is how you get god to open his mouth church has taught you that this is how you get god to open his mouth i'm not denying that but sometimes if you want god to open his mouth the best way to get god to start talking is to bring what you have and to god i'd rather be broke with a word than have money and no revelation i just said something i just said something i'd rather give you everything i got and know what's on your mind than to have money in my pocket and not know what god is thinking verse 40 says then jesus answered his thoughts i love this doctor i have to watch this minister ulysses says simon he said to the pharisees here's what i want to hear from god i have something to say could it be the reason why god hasn't spoken to you don't have anything to do with kim brown don't have anything to do with coding doesn't have anything to do with the fact that you ain't been able to get in the building maybe it's got more to do with the way you handle the resources that god gave you maybe god will become a blabber mouth when you become a bigger giver maybe god will have more guidance for you when you start to break open your alabaster box because when i start to give to god when i become radical in my generosity number one it is a response that i'm recognizing grace number two it's a statement that's reflecting my growth chris watts is number three i'm expecting god to release guidance proverbs 3 and 5 proves it trust in the lord with all your heart in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path but watch this i'm getting ready to get out of here i believe that when you and i become radical in our generosity not only does it recognize grace not only does it reflect growth not only does it release guidance but it y'all ready shout you on the way it records a guarantee oh i wish i had three believers around the world come on sister rosie in columbus ohio get up come on sister helen in philadelphia god has made you some promises and when i show god my response to his promise by becoming radical in my giving then i record a guarantee i can show it to you jesus says in verse 50 your faith has saved you [Music] go in peace ding well they got rid of the bell because the bale was depressing ooh god i feel your presence helped me to get through this so the other day i'm pumping gas in that big v8 pickup truck minister earl the gas bill was so high that the credit card company sent an alert to elders somebody is at the same level and they just popped almost 80 worth of gas [Music] we want to know is this you i was this close [Music] to telling elder i ain't been to the gas pump deny that charge oh god i'm getting preached myself happy i started complaining to god god said well look at where i brought you from [Music] i said what do you mean god he said you ain't pulled the back seat out you get no change he said don't you remember when you were going to the gas pump and you would be buying two dollars and 68 cent worth of gas because you had found 68 cents i was at the 7-eleven the person on the next island started looking at me crazy i said god i just want to thank god i just want to thank you god i just want to thank you god i just want to thank you and before i could finish praising god he said yeah that's good he said yeah that little thank you thanks you're giving me is good he said but if you really want to thank me i got an assignment for you i said what is it god he said one of your seniors just got a new truck i want you to go over there to the right age and buy enough gas cards that she can get gas for the whole year oh god i gotta go i said okay god let me run back up to the church and get the church's credit card he said hold on i didn't ask the mount to do this i'm asking you to do this i said god do you know how much it's gonna cost to buy gas for a year he said [Music] [Applause] next month i hope you don't have to take the seat out of a car [Music] he said cause you know it's only about grace he said this month you had 80 dollars next month you might not you said i'm asking you to be a radical giver i said yes sir [Music] look watch this i promise your mouth chris i didn't know people be scamming people in the right age with gift cards so i went in the rite aid got a stack of gift cards went up to the cash register and the lady said you doing all of them i said yes ma'am she said i've never done that many so i got the call for the manager she said we need a manager at the cash register someone's trying to buy a whole lot of gift card now you got people coming out from the pharmacy i'm standing up there with a handful of gift cards the manager comes up and she says sir i've got to ask you this is somebody in the parking lot forcing you to do this [Music] i said that's a strange question she said well the only time we ever see people getting this many gas cards or gift cards is when somebody's in the parking lot forcing them to come in and get the cars i said no ma'am i'm doing it and then god said tell her what you're doing i said no ma'am i gotta see you at my church and i'm just trying to make sure she got enough gas for the whole year the lady says so you buying these to give them away i said yes ma'am she said bless you the lord said there's your return y'all just missed the shout cute he said you so busy discounting her so she said well i can't ring them all up at one time because the cash register will kick him out she said so we gonna do two at a time if that's okay i said yes ma'am she's sitting there and you can tell god dealing with her minister earl i get my little bag and get ready to go out the door and then it hit me god i feel like i'm getting ready to lift you up she said excuse me mister where is your church i said the one right down the street found the mcdonald's come on maybe one day you'll get some gift cards now watch this i roll up to the seniors house you're gonna see the video soon the senior starts worshiping the senior stars i said i heard that you got a vehicle i said well this gas card can put some gas in your car this money i said but we want you to have gas next month and we want you to have gas next month and we want you to have guests what is it that god is asking you to be radical about [Music] that's what i leave you with today i know the story took me over time [Music] but i'm talking to you right now god has been too good to you for you not to have a radical generosity [Music] don't insult god by doing what you've already done you don't want god backing up in his grace morning by morning new mercies i see real quick three invitations and i'm out i promise you invitation number one is to accept the lord as your savior if you desire to accept the lord and going to go to heaven because i believe we're one of the best that god has not because i'm the leader but because of the saints that god has blessed to fellowship here if you want to be a part of that
