hey guys welcome back to two cents beat my name is Teddy and today I'm going to be starting a new series and that is I don't know the title for it what is it called today I will be starting the most heretical last boss Queen from villainous to savior [Applause] insert Halo and Angel choir whatever yeah so yes another villainous anime is airing this season and I have decided to check it out I'm not exactly sure what I'm getting into I mean although to be honest it kind of gives it away in the title but I haven't checked out the manga or the light novel is it based off of a light novel I don't even know I didn't even get to go to the Anime Expo panel where they were like talking about it and premiering the first episode like I did nothing I have no idea what the series is about except for what it clearly tells you in the title it is based off of a light novel yes I do know that there is a manga for it currently in publication I think by Seven Seas probably because they do like pretty much everything that isn't picked up by like the two big ones but I haven't checked it out yet um I'm waiting to see how I feel about this first couple episodes I guess and then see what I think but it seems cute like I think it's a regression story let me read the synopsis her adopted brother in a soul-binding contract to abuse her position against the servants in the household and short she is a villain of Pure Evil normal high school student in Japan reincarnate okay it's a reincarnation okay she reincarnates into the villainous the villainous is terrible oh she's got cheat like abilities okay okay I'm going into this pretty blind and I guess we'll just see how it goes so let's go bye Missy oh okay so our reincarnated villainous or our I guess a regular person reincarnated was that her okay our ultimate of villainous are they just speed running all of this oh truck [ __ ] yes oh no it's her memories coming back to her let's see oh my God so she's now eight she went from 18 to eight [Music] just rolls over and like gives up okay I like that I appreciate that oh it's a scarred for life damn it's okay that's all about to change [Music] and she dies so death legs oh not the king just the prince oh this is a matriarchy what oh already spilling Secrets oh precognition oh my God oh it is okay she's not changing anything yet okay he just like accepts wait so who is they're so terrified of her okay special abilities cool Divine congratulations of course so that's why Rosa her mom got it this is gonna be one of those where like stuff keeps occurring exactly how it did in there there's only one bad end okay your odds are pretty great at that point huh I'm just gonna try and keep it a secret oh my God okay it's only like a four or two oh of course oh no she'll be fine no Who's Gonna Save her though oh of course it's the guy not not one of the maids no okay I guess it I guess things are already starting to change cool and her father is saved or will they still die pretty standard for like a villainous story so far a younger brother a younger brother oh tell me this is not in the original game oh no it is oh no yeah yeah that's right she uh she mentioned that the synopsis mentioned this oh now she's remembering their name names and like being nice to them okay okay okay okay what is the catch okay pretty standard stuff I'm waiting for the catch why the adopted brother though I mean I know I but the dad was like explaining it but why isn't it kind of odd fail what are these names oh my God is it ending okay of course he's one of the love interests oh foreign did you guys take him away from his mom I mean it's no wonder it everything's making so much sense why are you training this kid like this what the hell contract of subordination okay oh it's the exact same thing that's happened before but Dad I can't believe my dad is like all okay with this is terrible contract of fealty I see why she became a villainous with a dad like this and a mother that she never sees what do they say don't blame the child blame the parents basically having to re-raise herself oh my God who the [ __ ] whose idea was it to take away this kid from his mother oh my God he's definitely living up to like the love interest Vibes though like that selfish selflessness okay [Music] is that his mother of course she's gonna move him with her tears kid is such a good kid like he's over here being selfless like not trying to be a bother to his mom cause pain to his mom or anything nope my son that's weird and this is where the whole story changes and now he's like totally on her side this guy's this uh this eternal youth guy is a stickler for the rules oh maybe not maybe it's okay Gilbert oh oh okay no what the hell happened what the [ __ ] everything was going so great and then of course passes out [Music] oh she told him to kill his mom she really is terrible okay but that hasn't happened yet that's and it's probably not gonna happen so okay I mean she's not she reincarnated into the villainous she's not the villainous you haven't though okay Emma I'll wait and let it continue oh she's thinking she has no choice but to become the villainous okay okay but I mean things already changing okay I guess she hasn't okay so she is still operating under the understanding that she has she is destined to become this villainous person there's nothing that she can do to stop it so even though things are already changing she probably just needs a couple more episodes to realize that things are changing around her hmm oh is this the opening oh the Eternal youth guy right why is he hmm oh okay the past the potential pres future present okay well her parents seem cute but that seems kind of dumb but kind of cute oh who are they okay and her little sister [Music] interesting oh and there's more okay she just fell asleep on him oh she gets sick too okay see things already changing you'll be fine Pride so that was the first episode and I mean I'm iffy about it I'm not like a hundred percent like in love with it yet I feel like some of Pride's character like some of her character traits and like some of the things she said aren't quite aligning with what I would what would make sense for me I feel like she's accepted her role as a villainous too easily because it's not that she was reading it's not that she regressed so she's not like the actual villainous right she just reincarnated into it and she happens to know the story so it's not like she has done those things necessarily so the fact that she's like already expecting herself to like just follow this predestined path it's kind of or like feel guilty for having followed a predestined path even though it wasn't really her following it it was just the original character it's like her character doesn't is it quite making sense to me right now feels like the story needed our main character to feel guilty over actions that she didn't commit so that she has like a motivation to try and change them right um while also like actually not having committed those actions so she's not actually like a bad character or a bad person she's just like trying to not repeat the actions of another person basically or another character so but I mean our main character is only eight years old so hopefully it's that like she's not she hasn't come to the realization that like she's already changing things so um her path might not be the same as like from the original to me I would think I don't know I can't I I don't know what the parameters of this story are gonna be like is it gonna be that like she has no choice but to follow the original story the original ultimate and so therefore she's trying to like find ways to work around it or is it going to be like she can change everything right off the bat and everything is like everything is going in her favor initially and then another bigger problem comes in and that's the issue that like our current main character is having to face against not really like the issues of like the death flags from the original story or is it gonna be something else like I can't really tell right now it feels like they're trying to go in two different directions and I I can't I can't really gauge which one so I guess the only way to really find out is to just jump on into the next episode and hopefully they'll explain it more in there so like I feel like this episode was supposed to really tug at my heartstrings and it just it didn't I'm sorry I'm sorry um yeah but I will give it a couple more chances so how about we just jump on into the next episode and see what happens let's go her newly adopted brother slash save slave slash uh Prince Regent to be I think which I didn't even talk about him last episode I totally forgot I was so focused on like how much I'm not really feeling this major character um I like him I think he's I mean from what they've shown so far or what they've talked about him so far he seems like a good character like good as in like to selfless you know wanting to do his best type of good character not like good as in like interesting there's nothing to really dislike with him so far so yeah like I think maybe I'm just having a hard time with how the characters are just so understanding of their or not understanding so accepting of their situations and I'm sure that's because they're trying to just like hurry the plot along to like the main substance of the plot that's what it feels like right now it feels like they're trying to rush through some of the character development isn't really making sense to me but hopefully they'll explain it in the future or something um yeah I'm a little iffy about this I'm a little iffy I'm not gonna lie I'm not gonna lie but I mean I've I've been more iffy about uh other series and I've finished them so who knows this might end up being like a don't ask questions type of series and just sit back and enjoy it you know with that how about we just jump on into this next episode and see what happens let's go oh okay so this is the potential future or the path that she is or is not perhaps maybe destined to follow I like these like interesting unless he starts getting memories that'd be interesting because she's not is she just evil just to be evil maybe I was expecting too much from her [Laughter] oh my God okay but I mean obviously so obviously just don't make him kill his mom and then you'll be fine I guess was it a dream oh so he's starting to have like precognitions that's okay that's kind of interesting but I do wonder how are they gonna explain it like why he's having precognitions now too unless it's just like her ability is spilling out and affecting him now too I'm still waiting on the twist I guess but I'm hoping this turns into something more oh [Music] he is nice okay he's starting to be a little devious or he was trying to be devious but then of course her tears okay see this is what I was thinking like they needed they needed the other characters to feel sympathy towards the main character so that's why for some of the main character's personality doesn't make sense exception exceptional what his mom's letter oh this is fake no I don't know I don't know what is this practice once a year what the [ __ ] what is this unless they're okay this has to be this this has to be something that she's like eventually Gonna Change in the future this has to be we are your new family this sounds like a cult what the [ __ ] this feels very cult-like bro this whole kingdom is like a villain oh for you okay see so he has Eternal youth so then he's been through some [ __ ] probably if he has Eternal youth packed in complete silence who is he talking to them oh maybe a Teleport oh wait that's cool okay it's our profession ashamed why from the Shadows what the [ __ ] okay so I'm glad he actually was turning on to be like a villain I have made this request okay I like how they do their his teleportation true probably he's gonna become scheming [Music] okay so now he's motivated sure this girl that you just met that has like done you like a couple kindnesses for sure so dedicated oh foreign like this whole thing is like having him adopted into the royal family is so odd but you know what whatever it's fine I'm gonna stop complaining I'm gonna try to stop complaining oh wait so they're like full blood sisters not like half sisters or anything why I oh my God that's why they kept them separate for like all this time so that they wouldn't have a good sibling relationship yes so can she actually not Tormentor okay that is going well oh my God a true angel oh yeah are they going like the fan girl oh well don't they seem like a cute couple already at least that's what it feels like they're trying to like that's more than fancy oh okay I guess he's not gonna be a a love interest right okay I think I'm getting it now so basically I get it if the rolls were flipped or if their genders were flipped I would get it like it's like how rude oh already like yeah why are you still here then a thorough talk um Chancellor Gilbert your lordship the way he said that she looks like a cat they look like cats again what else do you want brush is eight you know what good job Papa oh don't say that that's terrible poor thing oh [Music] I've never been able to do this he's always just been stoic okay actually I take back what I said about not being sure about stale um basically his role is to be like the support right and I think I was kind of like thrown off because it's like why would they just bring in a random kid it's like how in some other stories are also have a similar setting they would bring in like a princess from a foreign country or like a you know a Duke's daughter from another territory or whatever so that they grew up together and like you know became like a thing that's kind of what it's trying to emulate since it looks like this is like a matriarchy type a matriarchal type Society with the queen ruling over rather than like a king you know it makes sense it makes sense they're they're just like building up her per circle of support from early age basically his role makes sense to me now uh this whole practice of like not being able to talk to their families make sense still very cold like like even in you know if it was like even in like other stories where they bring in like a royal princess or whatever it's still very cold like where they like separate them from their families definitely not an okay practice I can see the Precedence for it essentially so yeah oh my nose started itching I apologize what what I have made hold on I need to pause that I could I have made numerous predictions of various results but that child of the future was unbearable Nanny what really oh wait so did the mom say that she was gonna become a villainous foreign it is kind of hard to believe thank you Mom it is a little hard to believe but you know well they seem cute the Royal Knights oh this one's got little streaks of red oh he's letting him do whatever he wants why and that's where it ends okay okay all right I can I can I can I can get behind this so basically they so I guess basically they just really needed like a basic premise to get the story started to just jump on into the to move us forward towards like the main plot I guess because I still have questions like why was she why did she not see her mom a whole lot obviously I guess you know busy with like uh queenly duties I guess which I guess makes sense actually I will say I am now interested in seeing how the story progresses like I guess I guess in a sense she's being realistic she's like I can't control everything so but I'm gonna try to not be this but if something happens then she's prepared I guess the second episode went a lot better than I had hoped um the first episode left me with a lot of questions and the second episode didn't quite answer all of them but the story is moving along to the point where I'm just like okay I'll just accept it how it is and just see how entertaining it is and it looks like it it looks like it's going to be an interesting story you know one because you know Gilbert seems to be the big bad that they're gonna have to face eventually and then now um and now stale is also having precognitions potentially even though he's not remembering it but he's also kind of experiencing things that are supposed to happen but that probably aren't going to happen anymore or maybe it will happen who knows I don't know that's that's the big question like will this will the path of the villainous stay consistent with the original or will it start deviating from here it's already starting to deviate but it's like will it continue to deviate or will it you know start looping back towards also are you telling me that the mom be because she the the queen because she also has pre-recognition she knew that her daughter was going to turn into a villainous is that is that it or is it that like once Pride got her ability then the queen wasn't able to see anything anymore and so she didn't know what was gonna happen so she has no idea what was what should be happening based off of the original or what is now happening based off of Pride's actions right maybe it's that this is so confusing that's so confusing I'm getting interested in it I'm wanting to see how else it will develop during this ball party thing whatever uh the knights the Royal Knights showed up and they mentioned like the Captain's captains Sun so I guess we're going to be getting an introduction to him pretty soon look at basically just filling out more of Pride's Circle basically so how about we just jump on into the next episode and see what's gonna happen with that let's go meets her adopted brother and her younger sister and time goes on oh is this the present now oh no still looks the same so they are gonna get married okay that's what I was thinking this whole time but I didn't I thought it wasn't gonna be that bruh now of course she was dense about that okay so they're like eight nine ten eleven okay exactly and yet she could never picture that stale would actually be in love with her but then he still has to call her big sister why I'm okay with like the whole like oh they have to bring in you know Children of the similar age to grow up together and eventually marry right but why are you telling him to call her big sister that's weird I am it was and it's so unnecessary it could have just kept like just call her Pride or princess or whatever no need for the big sister this is weird that's that's a little sus that's a little weird I don't think he's gonna be like the story's male lead I don't think I don't know who it is but I don't think it's him so maybe it's a non-issue oh my God okay [Music] of course of course just by watching it really oh she was a badass oh she actually is okay oh now they're introducing this last boss cheat S I wonder how much this cheat ability is actually gonna play a role she's making it worse for herself [Music] dead [Music] [Applause] where's the queen oh that's cool oh it's just a little that's so weird so he has the ability of a tell uh oh they have guns why were they training with swords oh my God on them it always throws me off whenever like these type of fantasy type settings have guns yeah don't they know they don't know this we don't have other people have teleportation oh kept it a secret well I mean the dad where's where are her parents their parents are killing me I'm gonna tell them to start murking people yes that is fair that is fair because like as they so eloquently just showed it could be used for like yes foreign [Music] okay aside from him of course I'm gonna cut off his own leg oh both his legs oh my God what is this coincidence wow wow oh my god of course okay who the heck is this oh his son what is it has he been living like a a Hermit or something oh [Music] wait is he really gonna die wait a minute they actually get a killer I'm shook I don't have to see his father die [Music] what um they're just gonna watch him who the heck is that he's an opening okay Pride had something up her sleeve huh [Music] what is she gonna do she's gonna teleport okay I'm just like hurry up I want to know what what she's going to do before the episode ends oh my God it's like I know this is supposed to be a touching moment thank you that one's a sharpshooter okay oh her oh my God all right come on all right Pride shows show us your best let's go okay right gotta remember she's actually a badass originally she's an evil badass but she's a badass is that you or yeah don't yeah what what is she saying oh to use his ability he has an ability or something ah okay well I gotta say I got I got super intrigued with this episode like especially towards the end but no this is actually kind of a fun episode like granted there were some like very convenient plot devices but you know what like I said I think this is one of those where this is gonna be a story where it's like you just you just kind of like turn down your brain knob like you just kind of like crack it crank it down a little bit and you can enjoy it like I just gotta stop questioning things so once I did that I actually got really intrigued I actually got really invested so I'm not like I just want to go watch the next episode like I need to know what did she tell this cat dude and uh I mean obviously they're gonna survive right because like at least obviously for sure she is gonna survive will the other two survive so that's the question probably I'm like 100 almost 100 sure they will survive I started getting invested I need to know if this kid is really gonna lose his dad like oh my God I had planned for this to be only three episodes but the fourth episode is out and I do really need to find out so let's just jump on into the next episode let's go oh my God it's this guy is this kid oh he's on Orphan oh that's a lot of blood oh no this is the past okay or no sorry not the past it's their original story what's up with his fingers except this isn't the present so [Music] this is how it's originally supposed to go but present currently a little cocoon or a big cocoon oh oh really big cocoon yay yay um nobody's like your highness oh they don't know it's her oh I guess that makes sense it's not like I have like television to know who who the royalty is oh poor kid legit almost saw is dead or yeah I saw his dad almost die in front of him I haven't seen how monsters she is oh my God he's gonna become somebody sure hello no just kidding I'm sorry [Music] so no actual Professional Knowledge and this is where everyone it's like oh wow she's actually like so confident she'll be perfect for queen she can see the future nah she's got she's got Final Boss cheat codes and protagon plot armor she's good but they don't know that obviously I mean I like the route she's using to like convince him pretty much I like this I thought she was gonna use him like I saved your son or something but no [Music] it's kind of getting to be a little bit oh that's true uh oh is he gonna be like the mediator between the two thank you all these butts no oh where is he going oh okay oh or anything really what is his ability is it charcoal or pink can you dig so the story kind of continues how it was but he doesn't hate her foreign [Music] oh wow he really does look like his father oh my God what is the special ability okay so this is going to be a common thing okay it's not a primary are you sure how do you know it's not a premonition oh my God why'd you hurt sir did you like injured oh thank you oh my God this is like that okay it's it's okay I understand now this is gonna have an angst a sense of angst I get you um make sure you aren't forced to go down the road because it's like something is gonna happen in the future oh what if something does happen that she still does become the villain oh that'd be crazy school oh just save her that's kissing yes probably she will disability is though Ah that's where it's gonna end I want to know what his ability is so I have come to understand something about this series and that is that the series is gonna be a little bit angsty just it's just a little bit maybe probably like every time that you know at least these past two times like when she saved I was not really saved stale but like when she helps stale and then like whisper to him like if I ever become evil do not hesitate to cut me down or whatever and then this time just now where she whispered to Arthur like you know don't hesitate through whatever slit my throat or whatever like those little angsty moments okay okay I'm assuming that's that is what is going to help build that like confliction I guess between the characters that surround pride and like Pride herself the way I see it going in the future is that like she's gonna grow up they're gonna be like wow she's a really great character but that one time that she did this one thing she mentioned that and they're gonna be like thinking back on it and like why why does this why did this happen oh and it's gonna be it's gonna fuel stuff down the road right or it's gonna fuel their Devotion to her because it's like why I know I will not let this happen I will never let you know a moment where I have to like defeat her to occur essentially I like a good angst story for once in a while the last one I was reading was uh I think when the villainous loves all in all I like where the story is going I still don't know why she thinks she's going to follow like the original storyline that belief is what's driving a lot of it for over a lot of the story forward so I'm not gonna really dwell on it too much and aside from that like I like these characters so far I kind of just want to see where they're like where they're headed essentially I like the relationships between the characters thus far so far at least at this point I'm just like curious to see what else is gonna happen and like I said I did get invested I needed to know what happened this episode so yeah I am invested I'm curious about these characters let me know what you guys thought of this episode
