coins [Music] the first one pound note that carried her portrait was issued on March 17 1960. but the story behind The Tiara she wears is lesser known the girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara was gifted to Queen Mary in 1893 by Lady Eva greville who later became one of her ladies in waiting it was then given to Mary's granddaughter the queen Nai princess Elizabeth as a wedding present Royal tierras have played an enduring role in British Heritage here is a selection of the most famous Royal tieras that have been worn by Royals across three centuries the Queen Mary Fringe tiara the Queen Mary Fringe Tiara was created in 1919 by E wolf and Co for Garrett it reuses diamonds taken from a necklace TR purchased by Queen Victoria from Collingwood and Company in August 1936 Mary gave the
