The Mine Where Everyone Missed

I would love to show you guys more the outside of this mine because there's some interesting stuff on the surface here but the Forest Service thinks they've finished destroying this one and they don't know about this at it and to their credit it's uh not an easy ad to find credit for this one goes to my exploring buddy right there and added extra so I'll put a link to his videos in the description below and even though we've been to the site before and those of you that been with us for a while I've seen this mine before from the outside we missed this particular ad it on multiple occasions even those two main at it at this site so last winter mr. McBride finally located this by accident but you did located it and so we are gonna finally go in and explore this one so again I'm sorry I can't show you more of the outside but those young people knows for a while you have seen this one before and this sort of finishes uh what we started a couple years ago so let's go check it out here we are at the portal and you can see timber right there and some of the rock around the UH at it here including this precarious one right here it's basically being held up by a spot of dirt and some branches and that's it so I'll be looking forward to getting inside the mine there's actually a bit more stable here's a look in what we're working away that you see just goes right back there and bends so we'll see what's waiting for us there's a gurgling sound coming from inside which is water going in down into a winds we build these there's the portal right there just came in and right in the entrance here you can see some square nails which is cool and I'm all right there and it's that wood step that gave us a piece of wood like an old branch or something that's for less that I replaced except this is all available yeah and what's interesting is uh there's some right there to you there's a piece of wood right there that's stuck in this pyroclastic flow you can see all the rocks and such and that isn't here as well so I'm not talking let's go see what's ahead of us just on the rocks and bedded besides this is a really unusual setup here this like said that this woman is like women actually blast and stuff right the whole organic glass you know kind of looks like you're in a classroom I'm yeah but all the gravel such water dudes long it's not silty like I mean yeah there's strip right there that's interesting but yeah it looks like a fairly clear that you can actually see right there the the old strips that they put that put the metal strips on top of wood to save money rather than yeah it looks like plus or minus two this all volcanic she's some of the rocks that come out of the side of the head of there yeah there's a couple of weeks is near partly he's a strict right they're jammed on the rocks a little bit money later good and here's an airshaft we've actually seen the top of it before I want to come down become agreed come down and then yeah it is a dry passage there with nice oh yeah it gets a lot smaller actually once you know all this it's kind of new cause since you're in your last yeah interesting oh yeah so hoping hey you see those fins and then there's a winds that's wood from fascinating so yeah this is all buried in a violent volcanic eruption and that's where some weird sounds in the spine so this is the first winds in the mine and she's got a lot of debris down there now but it does or did drop quite a ways down because abroad kind of nero's legs are gonna make their way across okay guys so it doesn't she dance okay so yeah look at it from this angle it does extend farther back that way it looks like it pinches off though doesn't it it does actually well you know what we'll take a look at the way out we'll come back and check it out of the way out but yeah with as much water is flowing down there and it not being full of water it definitely goes somewhere we'll check this one up and then there's another one right up here which oh wow that one definitely give us down to another level ensure a safe house all does that mud it means that I have no clue I've never got down there but I'm sure I'm assuming it's toss a rock down there I'm assuming it's pretty pretty but a little bit muddy but not too bad I was checking out like way Steve mud or something but that's not huh was it it's yeah there's some strange sounds for that water alright so there's that winds here's a second winds and the first winds is right there that's the way we came in I'm sorry fried my low weight head right there we'll catch up to him and you can see the divots and where they're rail ties work tracks into the ground ahead and just a little edges in here may have just been to store equipment or something those remains of it to burger or cart track tie and lanes right here yeah another bottom right there I think so but I don't know if it's like filled in or when he's coming about a couple feet down yeah there were some Chinese workers here for a while and uh yeah given how much smaller than mine just got handle the pic marks and we suggest this was their work let's get cozy doesn't it yeah this this dirt didn't come down for me where somebody put this here that's some executive guys that's what I'm talking about remember that's strange this is the older part yes strange and she said the most obvious trick here how deep is up that was out the way man but not too far but see you don't think I should she had at home lesson I go at 5 feet 5 feet for at least 5 or 6 feet yeah interesting and then tell good echo right now don't wait yeah absolutely okay so past you is unexplored territory [Applause] now I can see why you stopped using that waiters butt so what we'll find out [Music] we're moving forward kind of slowly because we can't see the bottom anymore and all those winces it makes us a little paranoid about what might be below us so he's poking around before it takes a step forward see what's there what's that yeah I do so uh since there's a car backing up there or something like that I'll put the camera off and rejoin you when we've made some progress I might before anybody's right there so we'll catch up to him this is very good progress back to that placer look again cut it pickaxe okay obviously another wins right here I don't think we're going down that one yeah there's some water to losing up out of it which is interesting that's kind of that means is that province is deep I would expect so and that pickaxe is really cool that's one of those family say hey that's a hammer yeah exactly sorry I thought was a pickaxe admits a hammer but it looks like it because I can see why you call it that Ken yeah and this bucket is like a it's like a converted carbide yeah that's a hell of a handle on it though that's interesting is that a bone that is a bone that's a squirrel okay so I keep going ahead of us here which my eye isn't go check out did you poke your stick in those wins yeah yeah I can understand that maybe by the way out so does that bucket and a hammer right there and I move ahead and catch up with my Explorer anybody again he was uh slowly but surely making his way up through this material here more that pipe yeah you can see I mean we can't see anything on this water so we have to go slowly for Chinese got ahead of us so poke around myself but you can see he's way up there yeah she keeps going so that's a good sign and this pipe was riveted actually it's probably heard to tell on camera but this is older and riveted which is really cool all right there's looking ahead again what's that what you say okay some of them rock back here very colourful as you can see and you can see are they stacked some rocks with a size that I got the hall now which is a perfectly understandable [Applause] look ahead again here's a much better look at the rivets and the pipe I was talking about so I was definitely old it's definitely been here a while and then looking ahead you can see where the metal strips on top of the wood come out of the mud for a while they're actually continued for a ways that's cool I'm actually coming out of the water that's nice yeah Remedios strip right there there's Mike sporty buddy up there huh shovel right there that's cool that's very old keep spilling this right I can see yeah that wins right here that's not good we haven't deep it one time but northern come back overcame that wins and fortunately I've picked up water again getting here my exploring buddy splashing through its other place where they stacked up some dirt and waste rock you see I didn't come off the top of the Edit that's place there intentionally I must for why it is it's not like I've been he'll be getting work hurt around [Applause] Wow long stretch here as long and straight that's cool what's that nice there's like what the size look like now but nice and go back which is nice back there before that last wins it was a bit of a dead sound which it makes us lower our voices because it suggests that that's a sketchy section of online yeah this is nice I was afraid it wouldn't go too far but it definitely Dennis flow some samples he was talking about it that's cool definitely opened up a lot I've seen that it opened up a lot yeah interesting there's my exploring buddy up there and they'll catch up to him in just a second the meantime I want to show you this cool looking flow stone here it's almost like frosting on cinnamon or something you know it's interesting is you look above there's absolutely none and then for some reason this layer it all starts flowing down that's quite a lot of it as you can see this side doesn't have it this side that's just black at the same level but yeah that's interesting so the deposits are forming [Music] my rock they stacked along here I have ashiness colors here Wow I know it just came down naturally if somebody pick this out those are some impressive colors okay so there's a lot going on here Wow okay so we've got multiple things going on we've got a drift running off to the right here you can see the rail we've got a drift running off behind exploring buddy am i right we've got looks like there wasn't more shoot here and there's definitely a level up there I don't know if gonna be able to get up there that looks tricky without a ladder but yeah definitely up there and then is it that wasn't enough spinning around there's another level up here that is really impressive in this area yeah Wow well Ryan rules the remains of a timber down here so that's looking back to what we came in and then here's another view looking up to that level up there and I was struck by how flat the surface is right there it's perfectly flat and see some more flow stone right here and I were practicing in the right hand rule so my buddy went ahead I'm letting get a little bit ahead just in case that anything goes wrong I think see the track taking off this way a bit more straps and strips excuse me the comic strip right there but these and the friends are actually still in the wood and add it's really spacious through here yeah you're right goodness the remains of it down in my box yeah just keeps going huh this is much larger than we expected here are things of a Tim using pieces of with you're here but they're just powder press right now yeah just do suggest I can't really clearly see the difference on the layers right there I'm not a geologist looks like bedrock there with a volcanic ash on top but again I'm a geologist so are there yeah somebody care to you this is kind of interesting you've got the the rail right in front of us on the side stacked up maybe four to six inches above all along the sides of these wooden planks almost like they want to create like a walkway or something wrong there and she's interesting that's definitely bedrock right there representing what I was saying earlier here almost winding down it's trench between the two sides where the boards are so again board their board there then this is good forty six inches below centers often together around in other words the track is the highest part oh that's 90-degree turn or what another level yeah another level up there hey guys and looks like some placer you have class material there and then to the right we have a complication okay so right in front of us there's a weakness which looks like it may have had a read or something going across it at one time given those scraps of wood that dominant and then beyond that's a face right there that's that's not collapse it's a face but it looks like there's a kid or something behind it that's odd yeah I don't see anything above it like a you know winds drop down and so I don't know what's going on there if they just picked at the face and then toss the dirt behind everyone but this these bubbles really interesting you know we may actually okay with a fair amount of assistance I was actually able to make it up there it's part of that looks guys that rock is super slick right there and then this stuff just crumbles me trying to get a grip on it so it's difficult getting up there I had to do it I needed both hands so I couldn't take the camera up there and plus my hands are all muddy anyway so I'm just gonna describe to you what was up there and it's completely anti-climactic it goes from maybe five or six feet past my light shining right now and just hits a gigantic Boulder in the middle of the attic or the drift and so that's it as far as they went so you're not missing anything at all there's a board up there on the left and then like I said it just goes back there and it's that big boulder right there so we will go back at that last Junction and my exploring body's already going ahead and pick up on that left side
