The Mexican MRE Is Here!!!! MEXICAN 24 HOUR COMBAT RATION - RACIÓN DE COMBATE DE MEXICO

[Music] hey there guys welcome back to one of the rest review and today we have a really special ration of this is a Mexican 24-hour combat ration I'm not sure what the official name is but this is the first time I ever seen on YouTube or anywhere else I'm happy to own one and happy to show you guys what this ration is all about so let's get right to it it's have a close look at it and then we'll head up alright just to start it off this thing is massive probably one of the biggest worthwhile rations out there just as a size comparison here's a British 24-hour ration and I'm sure if you guys can see that but it is significantly larger and massive and it comes in this thin plastic bag you have the Mexican flag right on the front nothing on the back I'm marking yeah I don't know about you guys but I'm very anxious to open it up so let's crack it open alright let's bust it open very very carefully yeah check that out very interesting packaging I got a given that looks very familiar to something can't quite put my finger on it but it definitely keeps all the contents and place keeps them nice and safe so yeah I have no problems with that yeah that's very carefully open it up and it looks like we have another plastic bag so it's just a very careful not to damage the contents and we're in alright let's uh what we got alright um the first thing we have is Chili's and vinegar or I guess like jalapenos and vinegar something like that and it's got a pull tab which is always a good idea [Applause] and it looks like we have a snack now this appears to be some type of pumpkin seeds yeah all right up next we have what appears to be a special combat motivator not sure what that is but we'll find out in a minute and we have a small bottle of Tapatio and this stuff is great I use it all the time and no surprise it's in a Mexican ration so nice little treat all right we have some Maria's and these are some type of cookies nice all right we have a package of instead milk or dry milk not bad we have some tamales or tamales and looks like there's two of them red sauce and green all right well a soup and this appears to be some type of tomato based star soup yeah excellent all right we have a package of freeze dried beans there we have the instructions very nice all right we have another instant soup and this appears to be chicken flavor and we have a mystery package not sure what that is but we'll find out soon enough and we have a bottle of sweet and condensed milk it's a pretty big bottle so that's excellent and we have a few more mystery items and my best guess this is salt and sugar another package we have some mexican treats or candies and this is a massive hot chocolate there's a little bit dense well some instant hot cocoa or hot chocolate and we have three Carlos V chocolate bars not bad right we have three instead drinks web or chata we have tamarind and hibiscus very nice and we have more sweet and I believe these are tamarind candies these are milk candy wafers not bad that's it for that package alright well another package open it up and we have one of the main entrees and now this is tacos with corn tortillas and can't wait to try this well another package and we have some type of double package and this appears to be some type of goat stew or also known as birria and it looks like we have corn tortillas as well so it's excellent and we have a mystery package feel soft like bread so my best guess this is some type of bread but we'll check it out a moment so and that's it alright guys there you have the entire contents of the Mexican 24-hour ration and I must say I'm extremely impressed everything looks really good really great I've never seen tacos in a ration so that would be the first time ever very curious about that combat motivator not sure what that is and obviously the mystery packages can't wait to check those out as well and we'll prepare different meals breakfast lunch and dinner so let's begin this will be our breakfast we have the mystery packages we have the sweet condensed milk the beans and the tamales which we'll throw in some boiling water just to heat it up so let's begin alright let's check out the mystery packages we have pretty sure feels like salt and sugar but I'm not sure if this is so we got and we have some coffee beans and the smell is just amazing smells like hazelnut obviously a medium roast the looks of it and yeah I guess we're gonna have to brew some coffee hmm looks like we have sugar my best guess this is salt heard so let's make some coffee [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] that has a really good smell to it and it's got a ziplock what's a seal it and we'll save the rest down at that some sugar I like my coffee a little bit sweet and I guess we'll let it cool down for a few minutes all right let's get the other drinks prepared we have the hot chocolate and we have the biscuits come Mike flavored drink mix so let's do that and this one calls for one quart but when we have a cup so we're just going to use I don't know half of it or 2/3 there it is just a fine powder it's just about right and we have the hot cocoa smells very chocolatey right it's going to stir all right let's go my tribe will start with the hibiscus drink got a nice deep red color almost like a burgundy got like a fruity smell to it alright here we go [Music] yeah that is very refreshing it's got a nice sweetness to it it also has this bitterness to it a little bit tart yeah overall it's a really nice drink this check out the coffee nice color to it yeah definitely smells like hazelnut all right here we go that is some really strong coffee that's gonna definitely hit me like a ton of bricks nice medium to dark roast right let's check out the hot chocolate or hot cocoa check that out and yeah it is still very hot all right here we go yeah that is some really good hot cocoa it's got a really nice chocolatey taste to it definitely some type of spices in there has a really unique flavor to it very sweet very creamy very good and make sure to check out for and amore calm for your ration needs hard let's check out the freeze dried beans oh wow check that out yeah they don't really taste like much really crunchy so let's rehydrate them let's add some boiling water let's give it a stir and we'll let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes let it rehydrate all right let's check out the cookies go few of them and there you have it looks more like a plain cookie or like a biscuit all right let's try it out hmm now those cookies are really nice they have a vanilla flavor to them very sweet very milky and very good right let's kick it up a notch let's try the sweetened condensed milk but first let's try it on its own there you have it all right oh wow yeah that it's very sweet very milky very very good let's try it with the cookie just uh get a nice sugar rush and there you have the sweet and condensed milk with the cookie all right here we go Wow yeah that is amazing let's wash it down [Applause] all right let's check out the tamales [Applause] oh yeah check that out nice and hot some hot tamales right so we have a couple of tamales obviously this would be the red one this one's the green one let's start with the green one that definitely has a nice green chili smell to it all right here we go mmm wow that is really good definitely has that green chili taste to it and it is spicy hmm wow that is really good check that out it's nice and soft and moist mmm that is excellent that one's definitely a winner got a nice spicy green chili flavor to it you can definitely taste the corn from obviously the dough and gets perfectly seasoned perfectly salted no complaints all right let's try the red one or red chili see how it works out there it is all right yeah definitely has a kick to it mm-hmm yeah it definitely has a distinct flavor it's a little bit different than the green chili has more of a bold flavor to it that flees some spices in there some really good stuff nice and moist and really tasty all right in the meantime let's check out the candy wafer these are actually really good see the rice paper and the inside should be some type of caramel or something like that caramel caramel whatever you want to say grab a piece all right here we go that is extremely sweet but it does have that caramel flavor to it and it's really milky all right let's check out the chocolate and there you have it it appears to be love related or Valentine's related or themed if you have uh like me like me not very interesting break a piece alright let's try it has that distinct Mexican chocolate flavor to it if you've ever had Mexican chocolate you know exactly what I mean it doesn't taste like European chocolate or American chocolate it's more milky than chocolaty but overall it's still very good and enjoyable alright so the beans are a little bit watery try to get rid of some that water yeah maybe next time just add less water and there we have the refried beans stripe [Music] yeah tastes just like refried beans nothing wrong with them nicely salted nicely seasoned let's uh spice things up a bit add some other hot sauce oh yeah alright that's all let's begin and the river tamale and beans all right here we go mm-hmm Wow that is really good that has a really nice kick to it it's really good nice and spicy and delicious wash it down all right let's go a little bit crazy that's uh a nice sugar rush we have the sweetened condensed milk the cookie the wafer and chocolate let's uh let's go crazy and this is gonna be our lunch we're gonna prepare that soup and have some of that goat stew well throw that in some boiling water and we're going to skip some of the stuff we've tried like the chocolate and the hot cocoa yeah let's begin all right so let's prepare the soup it requires a little bit of cooking so there you have it and they're only gonna prepare half cents this requires four cups of water this is two cups and we'll let that cook for about ten minutes then we'll come back to it all right let's prepare the tamarind drink or tamarind Oh and again we'll use some of it not all of it and let's give it a quick stir check that out alright let's try it yeah that's pretty much it it's just tamarind flavor and sweetness yeah it's very refreshing not bad and it looks like our soup is ready we'll let it sit for a few minutes they're cooled down let's cover it and let's check out the other component we have the pumpkin seeds there they are try one mmm there's the seed these you could even eat them with the show mmm nice and crunchy nicely toasted those are just pumpkin seeds that have been roasted and salted yeah it makes a nice little snack let's try one of these this is watermelon flavor another tamarind candy and it is coated in powdered sugar cross-section alright let's try it alright let's check out the suit yeah that smells really good it's got that chicken boo-yan smell to it let's grow a bite yeah it's still very hot all right here we go that is a really nice soup it's very comforting it's got that garlicky onion flavor to it got that chicken bullion taste and yeah it's excellent all right let's check out the goats - or B Leah and up no let's start with the tortillas and the way of the corn tortillas let's give one a try all right here we go yeah good corn flavor to them it's a little bit chewy but not bad just check out the stew check that out oh yeah smells are really good and that is piping hot you have some nice big chunks of goat meat oh yeah check that out we have a nice big chunk of goat meat all right here we go mmm wow that flavor is just amazing scroll another bite and you can see some of that nice red sauce mmm mm-hmm yeah that meat is just extremely tender oh yeah hmm just try out the tortilla that's a good stuff let's wash it down that is some really really good stew it's got a good flavor to it you can definitely taste the red chili sauce very savory the only thing missing is a little bit of lime with some onion and cilantro that would make this perfect almost forget the chilies or jalapenos not sure what it is check that out let's go a little bit of the onion let's grab another bite handler we have the stew with chili pepper or a pan yo not sure what it is all right here we go yeah that definitely enhances the spice amazing gives it more of a kick and you get that vinegar flavor as well let's try the mango flavor if it's any different yeah looks about the same all right here we go yeah they're about the same it's a little bit different it does have a tiny hint of that mango flavor but very faint it's still not bad and it's time to check out the combat motivator and I show what it is here we go and there we have it it's just a lollipop with some type of worm in it check it out check that out now that is very interesting all right let's give it a try and I did have a bit of that worm and it wasn't that bad it's just simply a hard candy lollipop not much flavor to it it's just sweet but it is pretty good and enjoyable and this is what I chose for dinner we're gonna have the tacos and some of that bread we already tried the chocolate and the hot cocoa so we'll skip that and we have the hot sauce in case we need it which we will so let's begin alright let's prepare the soup now this one is star-shaped pasta and we have a tomato-based soup and once again we'll just prepare half not the whole thing [Applause] there it is and we'll give it about 10 minutes to cook all right so up next we're gonna prepare the drinks we have the powdered milk or instant milk and or Chadha which is a rice and cinnamon flavored drink mix so let's prepare them of course we're gonna use some of it all [Music] and the Powdermilk all right let's get master alright let's start with milk do you have it looks like milk smells like instant milk all right [Music] has that dairy instant powdered milk flavored to it if you've ever had it is exactly that nothing wrong with it try the ricotta all right here we go not bad it's very refreshing it's very sweet it's got that rice and cinnamon flavor to it yeah not bad alright let's check on our soup I think it's ready let's turn off the heat and we'll let it sit for a few minutes let it cool down and already tried the chocolate and the candy wafer alright let's check out the bread check that out okay we have three punches and this is Mexican sweet bread so let's give it a try let's try vanilla all right here we go that is really nice it's really sweet a little bit dry that is where the milk comes in handy if you've never had this kind of bread I highly recommend it it's really good it's nice and sweet like I said a little bit on the dry side but you should always have a cup of milk handy just in case alright it's time to open up the tacos and I know some of you have been waiting to see this so let's not waste any time let's open them up oh yeah check that out oh yeah alright check that out we have some ration tacos and yeah they smell great and they even threw in some lime all right I look great so let's grab one check out that taco that you can see the beef some onion and cilantro all right here we go mmm Wow mm-hmm yeah these tacos are amazing excellent flavor the meat is nice and tender very juicy yeah they're perfect it's a spice things up a bit make a nice spicy grab a new taco yeah feast your eyes on that here we go mmm Wow those tacos are perfect they're a 10 out of 10 that is as good as it gets just try our soup still extremely hot but still give it a try and there's the little stars looking really good alright here we go mmm that's a very tasty soup very good very comforting it's very similar to the chicken soup except this one's a tomato base instead of chicken pastas nice and tender and yeah it's not bad that's going for a dessert we have the Naza pond let's check that out break it in half oh yeah it's extremely crumbly yeah bad move well there we have pieces of it you see some of the chocolate inside is some type of peanut dough all right here we go mmm yeah that is really good nice and sweet the inside is a little bit dry it's a very peanutty and the outside is very chocolatey so a really good combination the only problem is that it's extremely crumbly and it could be a little messy so if you're gonna eat that make sure you eat it outside or some type of safe area overall it's a nice little snack all right guys that's it this was the Mexican military MRE or ration and yeah this is the fourth April Fool's video I make it's been four years it's been a while North Korean one that really well it's almost at a million views I believe this was obviously my take on a Mexican MRE as far as I know the Mexican government does not have an official ration they still use American MREs this is what I think a Mexican ration would look like yeah just had a lot of fun with it when designing it and you know thinking of stuff so if you guys like the sort of video please let me know it would be fun to just do this at least once or twice a month to have a little fun with it so if you guys have any ideas please let me know I have some ideas of my own I was thinking about maybe doing my own version of an American ration just uh just to have a little fun with that if you
