Okay I'll be real guys, I literally recorded
this whole video and I forgot to write an intro. Yeah, look
I know this is super unprofessional but this is my YouTube
channel so that's just what you're going to get. Okay, sassiness
aside around this time last year, I worked on an iceberg
video for one of my other favourite series, Digimon and this
is a video I'm super proud of because it took a couple of months
to see it through. People seem to be enjoying that video
so I thought why not do it again? I know that this time
there are more MegaTen icebergs that have already been made but I
really wanted to make one of my own as I had such a good time previously
and it's the topic I talk about most on the channel at
the moment. With the 30th Shin Megami Tensei anniversary happening,
it's the perfect moment to look into the intricacies of the
MegaTen franchise so let us dive into the demon JRPG's iceberg. However,
just before I do have to follow the laws of YouTube and, like
a total sellout, tell you all to like the video, comment for the
algorithm and subscribe to support the channel. So now that's out of the way,
we can now really dive into the MegaTen iceberg. Pascal the Dog is here is a quote from the
first Shin Megami Tensei. When the player is at home, they have
the option of talking to their blue and white pet dog, Pascal
and at the start of the encounter, "Pascal the Dog is
here" will appear in the textbox before options can be selected.
This line gained cult status within the community for various
reasons and is regularly quoted by fans of the series. The Matador is one of the many fiend bosses
of Nocturne. This fight is infamous within the series as a large
quantity of fans have claimed that the encounter is excruciatingly
difficult for where the boss is located within the game.
With no weaknesses and access to Focus which multiples the user's
next physical attack damage by 2.5 as well as Beast Eye
that grants the user two blinking turn icons, it can be difficult to
overcome the sheer strength of the Matador in a first encounter.
He is easily defeated once one is aware of his capabilities,
though that does not take away from the sheer amount of bullshit
that this fight can possess thus the Matador will forever
remain infamous. The Amala Multiverse is a theory that fans
have created that tie all of the different Shin Megami Tensei
games. The theory is that all of the Shin Megami Tensei titles
exists within this multiverse and would explain why different
protagonists make appearances in series that they did not
originate from. Fans have used this theory to create what
they think is the timeline of Shin Megami Tensei events to connect
the titles together. Femc is short for Female Main Character and
she appears in Persona 3 Portable. She can be selected in the title
and offers a different experience to her male counterpart,
Makoto Yuki. Her story is widely regarded as non canon to the
Persona series but this still remains up in the air
due to her appearance in Persona Q2 which is considered
Canon to the franchises story. Many people believe that
after Persona Q2, her story exists in a different Universe to
the other Persona titles. Jack Frost is the Mascot of both the series
as well as the series developer and publisher, ATLUS. This famous phrase comes from a logo on the
PAL version of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne which does
feature Dante from the Devil May Cry Series. Shin Megami Tensei series artist, Kazuma Kenko,
desgined the Devil Trigger forms for Dante and Vergil in
exchange for Dante's presence in Nocturne. The MegaTen demons are based off of various
things and genitals are no exception. There are a lot of them
and I feel gross talking about this so here's Mara and I'll
try not to get demontised by quickly moving on to the next
one. The 1996 "Revelations Persona" is the western
version of Megami Inbunroku Persona. It was the second
title in the Megami Tensei franchise to be localised by what would
become ATLUS USA and was chosen to hopefully compete with
the likes of Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire and Suikoden.
The small localisation team was fearful that westeners
wouldn't enjoy or understand all of the Japanese culture in
the game, thus this version is different to it's original Japanese
release. The changes include hairstyle changes, ethnic
origins of characters, character and location names and multiple
instances of dialogue. One of the games story routes, The Snow Queen,
was also cut from this version of the game. Winter 2014 was the first intended time of
release for Persona 5. The game that was intended to release on the
PS3 ended up getting delayed for multiple reasons and finally
released on both the PS3 and PS4 in 2016 in Japan and
2017 in the West. Hijiri from Nocturne is speculated by some
fans to be Aleph, the protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei II,
as Hijiri has been given the curse of atonement which originated
from some unexplained mortal sin that can't be redeemed.
From this, Hijiri can be seen as a reencarnation of Aleph
due to the punishment that Aleph received for committing
the "ultimate sin" in Shin Megami Tensei II. The Demonica, short for "DEMOuntable Next
Integrated Capability Armor," is a device and a set of equipment
that originated in Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. This
suit has the same functionality as the COMPs that appear in
the other titles which allows the summoning, communication
and transportation of demons. In Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, Decarabia
can be seen waiting for Forneus in Shibuya. This Forneus
is the same one that the Demi-Fiend had slain at the Shinjuku Medical
Centre. Jack Bros is a game that released for the
Virtual Boy in 1995. It's a top down shooter game where the player
has to navigate through various floors of a dungeon in an
area to reach a boss, defeat them and then proceed to the next area
where the same process repeats. The game is centred around
the three Jack Brothers which are the playable characters,
Jack Frost, Pyro Jack and Jack the Ripper. Famous Vocaloid, Hastune Miku, has made an
appearance in the title Persona 4 Dancing All Night. It's likely
she was included in the game due to Persona's series artist,
Shingenori Soejima, creating artwork for the vocaloid's collaboration
with singer Namie Amuro in her album _genic released June
10, 2015, for the single "B Who I Want 2 B". Blue Butterflies appear throughout the Persona
spin off series. These butterflies are actually Philemon, a
character who exists within the realm of the consciousness and
unconsciousness of all souls who awakens the ability for people
to use Persona's. He has not appeared out of his butterfly form
in the neo persona titles but has appeared in a human form in
both Persona 1 and Persona 2. Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a crossover between
Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem. The game takes place
in modern day Tokyo and follows a group of teenagers who
have encountered hostile beings known as Mirages who seek out
energy known as Performa. The teens enter the world where
these mirages exist and find that not all of them are hostile as they
obtain their own and these ones are based off of the characters
of the Fire Emblem series. The game was suggested to ATLUS
by Nintendo where ATLUS was reluctant to take the project on
board due to workload but eventually agreed to the collaboration. Did you know that Dx2 isn't the only mobile
game that exists within the franchise? Well, I don't blame
you if you thought that was the case, but there are a multitude of
mobile games that have only released in Japan which relate to
many aspects of the franchise. There over 40 mobile games
that have been released over the years which some have been lost to
time as the devices that they were released on are discontinued. The Demi-fiend appears in Digital Devil Saga:
Avatar Tuner as a powerful Ultimate Boss, who can only be challenged
by starting a New Cycle+. He is located in the Anahata underground
dungeon and starts the battle with two demon minions and
will summon a replacement for any demon who has been defeated.
He also has access to altered special attacks which have
a high critical rate and a modified version of Gaea Rage which
is now a devastating Almighty attack and does between
3000-30000 damage to everyone on the field. The accomplice ending of Persona 4 gives the
player the ability to allow Adachi to get away with his crimes.
The player must rank up his social link to at least 6 before entering
the Heaven dungeon where the social link will then automatically
continue as they progress with the story. When the
story reaches the point where a culprit is to be identified
on December 5th, the player must keep the truth about Adachi a
secret and not tell their team members. The game will then skip
to the 20th of March where the player will be sent to talk
to Adachi and are to set fire to the letter which will grant
the player the ending. In Jack Bros, you are also able to play as
Pixie. To play as her, you must go to the password screen and enter
4649 and while entering the 9, you must also hold L, R, Select
and A all at the same time. The very first game in the entire Megami Tensei
series was not actually developed by ATLUS, but by Telenet.
The Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei game that was developed
by Telenet released first in July of 1987 whereas the ATLUS one
released in September of the same year. This version was heavily
inspired by the arcade game Gauntlet which is a top down perspective
game where the player attacks enemies with a weapon which
is very different to the turn based mechanics that we know the
series for. This game also has the first appearance of the moon
phase system which would become a staple of the series. The goal
of the player is to control Akemi Nakajima and guide him through
the 160 floors of the Makai and defeat enemies as they go. This
game does not tie back into any of the games that ATLUS have
developed. The things that Lavenza use to fuse new Persona's
in Persona 5 Strikers are called Iron Maiden. The Iron
Maiden is actually a demon of the series that first appeared
in Shin Megami Tensei II and besides these two titles, has also
only made one more appearance in the 2017 PC title Shin Megami
Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue. This is how Odin appears in Soul Hackers. In an interview for Shin Megami Tensei V with
Masayuki Doi, Hayataro was supposed to be the first demon
that the protagonist meets and recruits in the game. The staff
ambitiously dreamed about maybe even having the protagonist ride
Hayataro's back "as a partner-in-crime," but the idea was
scrapped due to the technical circumstances and the demon's role
as a one-off character. Albion is based off of the Cerne Abbas Giant;
an etching depicting a standing nude male with a prominent
erection who wields a large club in his right hand. The
etchings on the Demon are parallel to the real world etching thus
the demon having a penis. On February 20th 2003, NEC, NEC CustomMax,
and Atlus released the LaVie J "Shin Megami Tensei Version," a mobile
notebook PC featuring the RPG game "Shin Megami Tensei."
The product was available for a limited time until March 27th
2003 at NEC's 121ware.com and it cost 208,400 yen. The top
panel features a design based on the tattoo patterns of characters
appearing in the PlayStation 2 title "Shin Megami Tensei
III Nocturne," which was released on February 20th 2003. It also
contains a variety of original content such as wallpapers, screensavers,
and Windows operation sounds of characters, demons, and
background scenes from the series' past. Purchasers received
a "mysterious e-mail" from Steven, a character that appears in the
series. A chat event with producer Kosuke Okada and original
artist Kazuma Kaneko was also prepared. In addition, if
you answer the questions, you could get a certificate with
a serial number that determines whether you are "LAW", "CHAOS",
or "NEUTRAL". During the Stephen DLC fight in Shin Megami
Tensei IV Apocalypse, Stephen stands up for the first time in the
series. The international version of Tokyo Mirage
Sessions was heavily censored as the game was deemed to have too
much sexualised content. This resulted in some of the female
costumes being lengthened or altered in order to cover up
exposed skin. They also changed the ages of the teenagers and
these were altered as part of the censorship which led to a lot
of the Japanese dialogue being rerecorded to accommodate for
the different ages. During Adachi's social link in Persona 4,
he mentions how he didn't have much of an income which resulted
in him mostly consuming boiled cabbage for meals. Dojima
also mentions to Adachi that he'll bring a cheap cabbage to
his cell in the post game scene in Persona 4 Golden. The anime
also depicts Adachi holding cabbages in a plastic bag indicating
that he bought these while shopping for groceries.
These, and other minor instances of Adachi and cabbages has
resulted in the community linking the two together forever. Tokyo Revelation is one of the worst movies
I've seen in my entire-- Tokyo Revelation is a 1995 OVA based off of
the Manga of the same name. It centres around antagonist Akito
Kobayashi who is a demon summoner who's ultimate goal is
to summon Ose but in order to do that, he must locate more
Magnetite. He transfers school to the same one as childhood
friend and protagonist, Kojiro Souma, where he seeks
out his peers who possess high amounts of magnetite in order
to fufil his dreams. The film was also localised for English
audiences and has a full dub which was released in 2002. According to the Persona 3's director, Katsura
Hashino, the subtitle "Fes" is derived from the word "festival". The word "Portable" in Persona 3 Portable's
title is written in a font made to resemble the PlayStation Portable
(PSP) logo. Because of the font's rigid, minimalist style,
the capital letters "R" and "A" look identical, which
has resulted in some fans affectionately mistitling the game as
"Persona 3 Poatable". There is a successor game to the 1995 Virtual
Boy title Jack Bros. which released on mobile in 2004 titled
Jack's Quest: Demonic Help Party. The game follows in the
footsteps of it's predecessor as a dungeon RPG centred
around Jack Frost, Pyro Jack and Jack the Ripper. It was available
through a monthly subscription service called Megaten
α that offered a variety of Atlus' mobile games and novels
related to the franchise. The story of the title focuses
around the Jack Bros attempting to solve various issues within
Makai at the request of the guild and unlike it's predecessor,
it's dungeons function like a rouge-like game where the
maps, enemies, spells and item drops are all randomly generated. Persona x Detective Naoto is a spin-off novel
of the video game Persona 4, featuring Naoto Shirogane, who
at the time of the story is is a 17 year old police detective.
The novel is written by Natsuki Mamiya and illustrated by Shuji
Sogabe, the artist for the Persona 3 and Persona 4 manga. Shigenori
Soejima provided additional illustrations and character
designs. A manga adaption of the book began and was later serialized
in Dengeki Maoh from December 27th, 2012 to January 1st,
2015 and was drawn by Satoshi Shiki. The story is set one year
after the end of Persona 4 and follows Naoto as she investigates
the mysterious disappearances of two Yagakoro students. There is a demon based off of Tim Burton's
film, Beetlejuice that was introduced in Shin Megami Tensei
II called Betelgeuse. Betelgeuse possess two forms that appear in
the game, one serpant like one that only appears when you
encounter him as a boss and a human that appears where ever else
you encounter the demon. He also makes an appearance in the
mobile title, Shin Megami Tensei 20XX. The general consensus of the fanbase is that
the 1994 title "Shin Megami Tensei if..." is the first game
in the Persona series' timeline. This blatantly is due to
the female protagonist of if..., Tamaki Uchida making an appearance
in Persona 1 and both Persona 2 titles but fans also connect
the games together as ATLUS used Shin Megami Tensei if... as
groundwork for the Persona series. The Axiom, otherwise known as Great Will or
Great Reason, is the creator and overseer of the Megami Tensei
Multiverse and is often associated with YHVH. It lacks a physical
form in the mortal plane and uses various avatars. These
avatars are often similar to YHVH; godly beings on a high moral
ground who present themselves as the road to salvation
but are ultimately ruthless, arrogant and cruel, only caring
for their power and long standing regardless of any cost. The Persona 1 Manga started in November of
1996 and finished in March of 2000. It covers the story of the
game over 8 volumes and covers both the SEBEC and Snow
Queen story lines as well as expanding the backstory of the
Protagonist. It also introduces an original character called
Kazuya Toudou. The manga was re-released in 2009 with new
covers due to the release of Shin Megami Tensei: Persona on
the PSP. Reiji Kido is one of the main playable characters
in the original Persona. Reiji is one of the least
popular characters within the spin off series mainly due to two
factors his antisocial and aggressive personality as well
as his confronting design. The inspirations of his design were
revealed in the Megami Ibunroku Persona Digital Collection book interview;
Joe the Condor from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and
Hideki Saijo from the 1974 movie adaption of Ai to Makoto. Within
the title Reiji is given the moniker "Six-pack Leader"
in reference to his conspicuous ab muscles, but many of his enemies
often insult him with the pejorative title "Captain Naked." In Danganronpa 2 Goodbye Despair, Toys of
Monokuma, the games mascot, are hidden in various location on
the islands. Each chapter contains five of them and have a different
design for each chapter. The design in chapter 5
has Monokuma wearing a COMP based off of the first Shin Megami
Tensei title. If the Demi-fiend manages to achieve a qualifying
Press Turn count in all the Burial Chambers in the Labyrinth
of Amala, then he will be awarded an extra Press Turn by
Izanagi and Izanami during a second playthrough. This is accomplished
by meeting with Cerberus in the first Burial Chamber
of the First Kalpa and following him to the secret Tomb of Yomi in
the 666th basement of the labyrinth. Totems are items required to summon unique
personas that only make an appearance in Persona 1. The Totem
used to summon Nike is called "Just Do It" in the Japanese version,
which is Nike's slogan. The localized name, Gottabe Shoes,
is a reference to one of the company's marketing campaigns, "It's
Gotta Be The Shoes." The nationality of the Protagonist of Strange
Journey differs depending on which version of the game you
play. If you play the English version of the game, the protagonist
is American as Commander Gore states "Another American,
eh?" and Jimenez later welcomes the protagonist as a "fellow
American." However, if you play the Japanese version, the protagonist
is Japanese with these lines changing to "Welcome. We
welcome the fact that you come to us from Japan" and "...You're
Japanese. Did you come all the way over here from such a peaceful
country just to die?" respectively. In the original Shin Megami Tensei, there
is a parody location of Tokyo Disneyland called Tokyo Destinyland.
In this area of the game, two demons based off Disney's Mickey
Mouse and Donald Duck were supposed to appear but were
most likely cut due to copyright issues. The 7 Palaces in Persona 5 represent the Seven
Deadly Sins. In order they are Lust, Vanity, Gluttony, Sloth,
Greed, Envy and Pride. If you beat Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne
and start a new game +, you are able to switch into a first
person view. These aren't exactly ports it's emulation,
but you can purchase some PS2 titles off of the PS3 PSN store and
play them on the console. They include Nocturne, Persona 3
FES, Digital Avatar Saga: Avatar Tuner 1 and 2, Devil Summoner:
Raidou Kuzunoha VS the Soulless Army, Devil Summoner 2: Raidou
Kuzunoha VS King Abaddon and Persona 4. The emulation of these
games are infamous for not working as intended and crashing
so fans reccommend playing the original PS2 versions
of these titles. Unlike the former, ATLUS actually ported over
several titles to the PS1. These include: Devil Summoner
Soul Hackers, Shin Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, Shin
Megami Tensei if... and Devil Children Black and Red Book. In March of 1996 on page 46 of Volume 4 Issue
3 of Gamefan, it was announced by Atlus USA they would be localizing
the Sega Saturn release of Devil Summoner for North
America and releasing in some time in June of 1996. But for unknown
reasons the North American release never happened and as of
today Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner is the only game in
the Devil Summoner series never to have received an official
localization. ATLUS have a track record of leaving untranslated
text in a multitude of titles. The most recent example
of leaving Japanese text in the game is in the 3DS title Shin
Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse to which ATLUS made this statement: First, we’re human. This is important, so
before you start writing that angry comment down below, please
remember this point. Second, and this is the funny part,
it turns out our QA department is actually too good. The two instances
of Japanese text left in the game happen during a boss
battle near the end of the game. As you may know, SMTIV:A has
partners that are permanently with you throughout the game,
and you can select the partner based on what abilities they have
that complement your play style. (No more worrying about a randomly
chosen Walter casting Agi on demons that resist fire. WALTEERRRRRR!)
Anyhow, just like in SMTIV, partners can get attacked
and knocked out. In this particular battle, partners will return
after 3 turns, and the errant Japanese text only shows up
if you get to a point where the boss gives you a dialogue option
WHILE your partner is KO’d. Our testers, who have been with the
company for quite awhile, and who are well-versed in all things
SMT (I think a few of them also were QA for the original SMTIV)
were so good, they never ran into the situation of having an
unconscious partner during the fight, and henceforth the dialogue
in question. There is an additonal scenario dubbed Tastuya's
Scenario in the PSP remake of Persona 2: Eternal Punishment.
It is a side story which is supplementary to the main plot which
details the adventures of Tatsuya Suou. The story is divided
into three chapters and each is unlocked and accessed
via Igor in the Velvet Room as the main plot has progressed
at certain points. The latter two chapters can only be accessed
if one chooses to progress through Kei Nanjo's story route.
Because the game was never translated into English, western
consumers have had no legal way to access this side plot however,
the game has been translated by fans. Now before we get into the third layer real
quick I've invited a special guest on the channel who loves the
MegaTen franchise and also really enjoys trivia, Larrue. I'll leave
a link to his channel in the description down below and now that
the credits are all done, I'll leave it to my friend Larrue to dive
through the third layer. Also known as Devil Children, DemiKids is
a spin off series that began in the year 2000 with the GBC titles
Black Book and Red Book. The series was presumably created as
a response to the populartiy of Nintendo's Pokemon series and
as a Shin Megami Tensei title that was more suited towards
younger players to broaden their audience with the change in
tone. The series has received a wide range of reviews, ranging
from postitive to negative and has been called "not as fun
or diverse" as Pokemon. The series hasn't had a game release
since 2004. Dx2 is the first time new artwork was made
for Ifrit and Indrajit. Kazuma Kaneko travelled to a field of pink
and white flowers to take pictures for the Persona 2 Guide. The Fiend theme in all numbered mainline titles
gets slightly remixed for each one barring Shin Megami Tensei
V where the track majorly reimagined for the title. Kazuma Kaneko Works IX states: "An original character from the anime version
of "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Children". As a counterpart
to the golden King Frost, she is silver and white in colour.
Her design is a combination of Japanese and Western, old-fashioned
and modern, with a crown on her long, blonde, curly hair,
a fan in her hand, and a decoration on top of the dome covering
her face that resembles a Japanese hair style. While King
Frost holds a king's staff in the shape of Frost, Queen
Frost has a jewel of the same design hanging from her fan. The
art itself was drawn for the trading cards, and does not appear
in the main game." An image of the Kool-Aid man appearing in
Strange Journey was created for April Fools day. This image has
been recycled for multiple years and has had many users fall
for the practical joke due to the inclusion of a password. The manual for the first Majin Tensei has
a page showing with instructions on how to use the Super Nintendo's
Mouse with the game. Kaneko's design of Satan which first appeared
in Shin Megami Tensei II references the number of the beast
by possessing 6 arms, 6 breasts and 6 wings. Ryuji's shoes are censored in the Chinese
and Korean versions of the game, due to containing the Rising Sun
Flag. The symbol is a sensitive issue in many other Asian countries
when they suffered from Japan's invasion during World War II.
Atlus removed it out of courtesy when the issue was brought up.
The rising sun symbol on Ryuji's shoes is also removed from the
official artwork used for his Spirit in all versions of Super Smash
Bros. Ultimate. Raidou Kuzunoha and Goto were removed from
the South Korean release of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne
HD Remaster due to Raidou's desgin being based on Japan's Taisho
Period. This period was a sensitive time for South Korea
due to colonization from Japan. Despite his artwork remaining mostly unchanged,
Hell Biker's 3D model has him wear a helmet since Shin Megami
Tensei III: Nocturne. The model with the helmet is used
in Persona 3 and 4 while the artwork for Hell Biker in those
games does not show the demon wearing a helmet. In more recent
titles, the helmet seems to have been scrapped as the demon's
model features him without it. The vocals in the soundtrack for Shin Megami
Tensei III Nocturne come from a text-to-speech voice
that exists within the mac operating system called Albert. In the Persona 2 artbook there was an unused
humanoid design for Nyarlathotep that was done by Kazuma Kaneko. A Trading Card Games based around the MegaTen
series was developed and released in Japan. In this Trading
Card Game, you play as a Devil Summoner. The objective is
to reduce the opposing Devil Summoner's HP to 0 with the help of
summoned demons and partners. You can use cards but once used,
they become tapped and are unable to be used until your next
untap phase. Most cards require an energy called "magnetite" to use
their abilities. Without sufficient magnetite, you're unable
to summon demons, use items, or cast magic. Kyouji Kuzunoha is detective who owns the
Kuzunoha Detective Agency in the original Devil Summoner. Koyuji
meets his demise for unkwown reasons and his body that is then
posessed by the protagonist of the game. Even though Koyuji
is dead, his sprit still remains going on to posess people and
take control of their bodies. With this power, Kyouji posesses
various people or bodies which he uses not only to communitcate
with the protagonist of Devil Summoner, but also uses
to make an appearance in Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers
and Persona 2. In 2003 an anonymous user on a Japanese Forum
posted a story about a mysterious encounter that they had
when they were playing Shin Megami Tensei on the Super Famicom. When
the game was booting up, it was normal for the most part
until it froze momentarily when the logo appeared with the
screen then rapidly changing to a screen full of the message "sugi
ni kese" which translates to turn it off now. The following
year, a man caliming to be one of the programmers of the
title said that he snuck it in there right before the game launched.
He claims to have originally wanted it to appear every
1/256 times but that was too frequent in testing so he ended up
chaning it to 1 every 65536 times. He also stated that it
only released with the initial batch of cartridges as the other
members of the team spotted it and removed it from all future
releases of the game. This myth was believed for a full 20 years
until it was debunked by fans who examined the ROM of the title
and found that this wasn't actually present within the game. Teddie and Chie's English voice actors were
changed for Persona 4 Golden. The two voice actor's change from
the original Persona 4 has resulted in multiple arguments as to
who is better for what role and I'm going to refrain from putting
my opinion in here because the comments section is a dangerous
thing to rile up. Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne has several
unused cutscenes. These cutscenes can be accessed by viewing
the debug mode of the game and there are several different methods
that you can use to access them though the easiest is through
a gameshark or something similar. Resi release a video with
all of the cutscenes in it over two years ago so if you'd
like to see all of them, go check that out. The cutscenes
have not been translated into English. The infamous German dictator makes an appearance
in Persona 2: Innocent Sin. In the game, he was resurrected
by a rumour stating that he did not commit suicide but
was in fact saved by his elite soliders known as the last battalion.
He then has plans to raise the demon Xibalba and it is
then up to the main cast of Persona 2: Innocent Sin to put
thwart his plans. In the PSP rerelease of this title, his name
changed to Fuhrer and was also given glasses due to new laws
under the Japanese rating system which prevents the inclusion
of real world people such as this man in fictional media. Persona Trinity Soul is a really good anime
by A-1 pictures which is set 10 years after persona 3 in a parallel
universe. The story focuses around the Reverse cases of Ayanagi
City and these cases are caused when a Persona is forecfully
extracted from the soul which results in the victim being
turned inside out. The Kanzato brothers, are all related in some
way with Ryo Konzato being the police chief who is in charge of
investigating and the other two brothers are fixated on finding
the connection between them and the cases in general. Developed by ATLUS and NexTech, Shin Megami
Tensei NINE released for the Xbox on December 5th 2002. The game
began development in 2001 with the general consensus that the
title would be the first Megami Tensei title to be online.
While the title was originally planned to be online, it was
actually later split into to different versions with the online
to follow after the single player version and after a while it
was cancelled altogether. The single player release sold far below ATLUS'
estimates and met mostly negative reception which, along with
the cancelled development of the online version, resulted in a huge
financial loss for the company although it did recieve enough sales
to be rereleased as a platinum xbox game. The online component
would not be abandoned and the concept would be retooled and would
then become Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE. In the Drama CD based on Shin Megami Tensei
III Nocturne, Lucifer creates the second Demi-fiend, who
is implied to be a full fiend by the end of the story. Lucifer
does this to act as a scapegoat for Kagutsuchi to hide the Demi-Fiend
from the game so Kagutsuchi naturally targets this decoy Demi-Fiend. According to various sources, the demon Crusader
was originally intended to be a Fiend. In Japan, they have adapted Persona 4 and
Persona 5 into musical stage shows. These shows are based off of
the stories of the games. Releasing for the Sega Saturn on October 30
1997, Ronde is a unique entry in the series which serves as
the third game in the Majin Tensei spin off titles. The game wasn't
developed by ATLUS but instead was handled by Mutimedia
Intelligence Transfer who also handled the development
of the Last Bible and Devil Children titles. The game was panned
by critics and by fans of the series not only after the games
launch, but before it as well because the demo that released
for the game resulted in a massive cancellation of preorders
for the title. The original Shin Megami Tensei received an
IOS port which initially released in Japan in 2012 but was
also localised for the west and released two years later. This
port is the only officially localised version of the title
however, this title is no longer accessible. Along with many other
titles, this one was never updated to work with IOS 11
thus any device that was updated to IOS 11 or later would not be
able to this game. ATLUS still has trailers for the game uploaded
to their youtube channel. New Digital Devil Story are a series of 6
novels that proceed Digital Devil Story. These are also written
by the same Author of the orignals, Aya Nishitani and function
as a direct sequel to Digital Devil Story but these focus on
a new protagonist, Asuka Kita. Shin Megami Tensei's mascot demon, Jack Frost,
currently has 15 different variations that can be found
in the games. These are: Hee-ho-kun, Raiho, Frost Ace, Demonee-Ho,
Ai-Ho, Lucifer Frost, Frost Five, Lemon Frost, Milky
Frost, Strawberry Frost, Melon Frost, B. Hawaii Frost, Frost
Trio, Petit Frost and Diana. In Megami Ibunroku Persona and Persona 2,
there is a ritual that appears in the form of a game, and an incantation
respectively. In Megami Ibunroku Persona, the "Persona"
game starts with four participants in each of the four corners of
a room facing inward, with the rest of the participants standing
inside the room. One of the people in the corners will shout out
something along the lines of "Persona, Persona, please come out."
Then the first person walks to the right, until they're standing
by the second person in a corner. Then that person repeats
the action, ending up near the third and so on. The game ends
when the fourth person reaches the spot the first was positioned
at the start of the game. In Persona 2, the game is called "Master Persona
Incantation," which was rumored to let one see their future.
All the participants stand in a circle and walk counterclockwise
twice while shouting "Master Persona, Master Persona,
please come to us!" Then someone walks behind the
person in front, and then that person walks. The cycle completes
when the last person ends where the first person started. A final
shout of "Master Persona, Master Persona, please come to us!"
finishes the incantation. Models of Maya Amano and Lisa Silverman from
Persona 2 exist within Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne. The
model of Lisa still exists within the release version of
Nocturne and can be accessed through the debug mode however
the Maya model only existed within the prototype dubbed the Vortex
prototype. The Shin Megami Tensei series has been adapted
into multiple different Tabletop RPGs. The first one titled
Shin Megami Tensei RPG Basic System was released on September
1st 1993 and allowed players to create their own stories
in a social setting with other people. The tabletop RPG
would proceed to get updates until the final installment was
released in late 2010. The campaigns have also had multiple
novel adaptations. Akira Miyamoto's first name is a reference
to the manga Devilman, whose protagonist, Akira Fudou, gets possessed
by the demon Amon and gains supernatural powers. Akira's last name
is also reference to Amon Miyamoto, who is a Japanese stage director. One More God Rejected is widely known as a
line in the Fierce Battle track from Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne.
Not only is this lyric incorrect, but the song's title is incorrect
as well. The song's official name is Forced Battle and
the lyric has been proven to actually be "War Broke Out in Heaven"
which comes from New King James version of the Book of
Revelation. Some other lines in the song can also be traced
back to excerpts of this text. - Persona 3 Prototype Persona series director Katsura Hashino released
details about the Prototype of Persona 3 in a blog post.
He stated that a big part in the development of Persona 3
was the change of “game rules,” starting with the battle
encounters. These encounters were initially intended to be seamless
rather than going into a different environment however,
due to problems related to memory, the development team decided
that it would be best to use the more orthodox battle scene
change. These two scenes presented in the footage are described
by Hashino to be key to the development process and credits
the second clip to what Persona 3's battle system would eventually
become. As well as this blog post describing the changes for
the combat in the game, there are also multiple other instances
of various stages of Persona 3 during development such
as this prototype version of the games opening "burn my dread"
and debug menu released in the BETA version of the title. Some fans believe that the protagonist from
Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse is half demon. This resoning
is mainly due to how the character functions during the game
after his fusion with the demon Dagda; it is very similar to
that of the Demi-Fiend who is half demon. Just like the
Demi-Fiend, Nanashi is able to learn skills through demons to
use in combat by casting them himself. This however is just
a theory and there is no offical media at the moment that either
confirms or denies this theory. The Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Live
Action series is based on the 1995 video game of the same name
created by Tsuburaya Entertainment in 1997. The show
was originally only intended to run for 13 episodes however due
to popular demand, the show receieved an extra season. The show
only aired in Japan and was broadcast on the TX Network
in the late night timeslot as a late night horror drama series.
ATLUS founder Cozy Okada and Shin Megami Tensei series artist
Kazuma Kaneko made a cameo appearance in the first episode. The Devil DNA System is a cut feature from
Shin Megami Tensei IV which would have allowed the player to
change a demon's DNA during fusion. This idea of extracting
DNA for postive effects was scrapped in favour of the passive
skills that do the same thing but instead of being tied to
the demon itself, it takes up a skill slot instead. Barbara G. Walker's "Woman's Encyclopedia
of Myths and Secrets" is one of the primary sources of inspirations
for demons of the series. Many early demon designs within the
series are based on how they are described within this text. A tech demo exists for Shin Megami Tensei
III Nocturne which is known as Shin Megami Tensei III ver.α.
This tech demo was made specifically for developers so that they
could see how far the visual presentation of the final game
could be. Unlike most tech demos, this one had a fully written out
scenario between Anat, the Demi-Fiend and Amaterasu. Anat would
awaken the Demi-Fiend with the power of the Devil Hearts,
the precursor to the Magatama, and order him to kill Amaterasu.
However another Demon, Take-Mikazuchi approaches him and seeks
his help in order to find an item that will break a curse that
Anat has inflicted onto Amaterasu. From here, the Demi-Fiend
has two options, he can kill Amaterasu or save them. If the Demi-Fiend
chooses to help save Amaterasu, he would cross the waters of Shinobazu
Pond and meet with the demon Nue. The Demi-Fiend
would then negotiate with Nue as the demon would be able to guide him
through the Pond. Nue would lead the Demi-Fiend to a tunnel located
at the bottom of the pond which lead to a cave. Once inside
the cave, he would find the treasure and return it to Take-Mikazuchi
allowing the demon to then remove the curse which would then end
the demo. However, if the Demi-Fiend decided to stick with Anat's plan,
he would then kill Take-Mikazuchi and find out that Amaterasu
escaped to the Imperial Palace. By negotiating with demons, he would
find out where it was located, but be stopped in his tracks by a
huge barrier. Anat then appears and breaks it where he then fights
Amaterasu and if the Demi-Fiend triumphs in battle, the demo will
end. The final boss of the 1997 ATLUS fighting
game, Groove on Fight, is Bristol-D. This character was designed
by Shin Megami Tensei series artist, Kazuma Kaneko. He is known
in the game as a dark summoner and because of this, he is able
to summon demons that appear in the Megami Tensei games. The
demons included are: Ammut, Beelzebub, Buer, Flauros, Gaap,
Incubus, Succubus, Leonard, Malphas, Nekomata, Orobas, Pixie
and Zombie. During episode 5 of the Persona Stalker Club
V show, director of Persona 5, Katsura Hashino and lead character
designer Shigenori Soejima discussed concepts that
were eventually scraped from the final game. One of these
concepts was that Hifumi Togo was supposed to be a part of the
game's main scenario which would have led to her eventually becoming
a phantom theif. As we know in the final release, this was
changed to her only taking on the role of a confidant character.
This was due to the developers stating that the main
scenario was already long enough and that they didn't want to make
it longer. In Digital Devil Story Megami Tensei, there
is an enemy in the game that takes on the sprite of a bull, named
simply "Bug". This enemy appears upside down with the word "BUG"
written across it. When you press the Auto command in-battle
while you're holding down A, B, Left and Down on the second controller,
the normal battle text "Nakajima and the others start
fighting." will change to "Cabu-chan begins debugging." There is a fan theory going around that states
that Persona 5 Royal's third semester is non-canon. This
is due to the fact that both Goro Akechi and Sumire Yoshizawa
both are not present or even mentioned in the games canon
sequel, Persona 5 Strikers. The third semester in Persona
5 Royal allows Akechi to dodge his demise in Shido's palace which
made fans question the third semester's relevance to the timeline
with many beliving that he would have made an appearance
in Strikers if the event was canon. At the time this video
was uploaded, there is no offical statement that confirms or denies
that the event isn't canon. The SNES remakes of Megami Tensei 1 and 2
have Easter Eggs that weren't present in the originals.
These are as follows: If a Member's Card is obtained by entering
Rag's Shop more than twice in MT, a boy in the Shelter will give
one to the hero in MTII. If the card is taken to Rag's, it can
be traded for a Heidrun, which can be used to heal all HP/MP
and ailments except death, or saved to activate the Jack Frost
Parents bonuses much later on. If the Silk Thread is given to Izanami in
MT, when Izanami is revived in MTII she will give the hero her
robe. When the Partner gets captured by Astaroth,
a girl will appear in the cave in the northwest, in the area
where it says "You see traces of someone having been here" who asks
to join; the girl becomes Susano-o if allowed to join. This
event only occurs once. The Hinokagutsuchi can be obtained after defeating
or recruiting Lucifer by going back to Ueno to the spot
where the Nihil was. Go into any room with an empty treasure chest,
then take one step outside and push Down on the controller to
turn around, turning 31 times, and then reenter the room. A Jack
Frost Jr. will appear and ask if you know is Mama; say yes and the
hero will receive ћ3000, 3000 MAG, and 10,000 EXP. After doing
this, when encountering Pyro Jack, who can be found in
the Island of Dreams area, talk to him and he will claim responsibility
for Jr being lost and will state that he will make sure
it happens again, so Jack Frost Jr can be encountered again by
doing the same trick as before. This can be done as many times as
the player wishes. After meeting Jack Frost Jr, if the player
has the Heidrun and a Fallen Angel Wing, entering the Cathedral
of Shadows will cause Jack Frost's Papa to appear
and give a Qing Long, Bai Long, and Kali. After finishing
MTII, Jack Frost Mama can be encountered in the shelter, by going
to see the Nurse; she will introduce the player to the 4 hidden
gods, but only if the player says they have not heard of them. If Bael is destroyed as a frog two events
can occur. If the Hinokagutsuchi has not been obtained,
go to Ginza B2F and search the mountain of trash there to obtain
ћ5000 and 2000 MAG, as well as a crystal ball which will transport
the party to a secret dungeon - Garbage Mountain. The warp will
never appear if the room containing the mountain of trash is entered
without all of the conditions fulfilled or if the player
does not choose to touch the crystal when the option appears;
the warp will only appear once. If the player goes into rooms which have the
message "A stagnant air is flowing here" to teleport to Hades.
In spots where Green Slimes appear, there is a 1/32 chance of meeting
the hidden deities. Artemis can be found in the area
accessed from Bael's Castle, Leto in the area accessed from Shinjuku's
Underground, and Apollo in the area accessed from the Forest
of Confusion. If all 3 are obtained, they can be fused together
to obtain Zeus, regardless of the hero's level. Persona Ain Soph was a free browser-based
RPG which released on the 26th of Feburary 2008 in Japan and
closed in June of 2010. The game's title has drawn attention
from fans as it is P00 which while they are infact two zeros,
it does resemble the word poo. This game was based off of Persona
3 and focused on players fusing Persona's as well as confronting
the game's main threat Qliphoth. The Case of the Dragon Slayer: A Jiken Mystery
is a novel written by Kouhei Kadono who is known for
creating the Boogiepop series. The novel follows three
heroes who have set out to find who murdered one of seven dragons
who are considered near god like beings. Not only are these heroes
seeking out who exactly killed the dragon, but they are also
trying to figure out how they managed to kill the beast. Megami
Tensei series artist, Kazuma Kaneko did the illustrations for the
first print of this novel. There are many gameplay features that were
implemented in Persona 5 but didn't make the cut. These are
as follows: An unused disguise meachanic where the player
would have been able to disguise themselves as an overworld
shadow in the metaverse for a short period of time allowing
them to bypass enemies. Various unused skills Unused Accessory effects that were removed
because the accessories that these effects are attached
to not ending up being in the game and an unused flag system that when set would
allow for the other Phantom Thieves to follow the player
around outside of the Metaverse with only three of them being allowed
at one time. Kazuma Kaneko has said in an interview that
the concept of the Demi-fiend was inspired by the band Red Hot
Chili Peppers. Additionally, the Demi-fiend's tattoo design
is intended to convey the image of a shaman. On March 23rd 2012, a 4Gamer Interview with
Toshimichi Mori, producer of Persona 4 Arena and the BlazBlue
series, revealed that both Arc System Works and Atlus had contributed
to a list of potential Persona 3 and Persona 4 playable
characters for Persona 4 Arena. In this interview Mori revealed
that Ryotaro Dojima was on that list, despite his lack
of a Persona. He joked that he would have summoned Nanako instead,
but Atlus would not have been too happy with the idea.
He also had an interview in 2014 with Siliconera where he
stated that he asked if they could make Dojima a character and
they denied. Nanako was also suggested, and said that Atlus’
response was akin to, “Hell no. Why did you even think
that?” Some fans of the series believe that Stephen
is some kind of Bohisattva. In Buddhism, a bodhisattva is
a person who is on the path towards bodhi ('awakening') or Buddhahood.
It is believed by fans that Stephen has achieved this because
he has become a transcendant being and is also an agent
of the will. The information on this theory is very bare bones
from what I have been able to track on the internet but the
theory exists nontheless. In the GBA version of Shin Megami Tensei 2,
you are able to get demons from the Appraiser's through the
Easter and Halloween systems. In order to do this, one must first
obtain memory chips by locating rooms with green chests in them
and entering the rooms on a new moon. The Easter System will
offer a list of demons that costs Memory Chips and Macca but
these ones do not require trading. The Halloween option
will require the player to have a copy of Shin Megami Tensei
I that they can link locally to Shin Megami Tensei II and
will also require the save file from SMT I to have registration
of Cerberus Fairy Elf, Megami Lakshmi and Pale Rider.
If the conditions are met, Fairy Elf, Megami Verdandi, Beast Pascal,
Tyrant Satanachia can all be traded for and obtained in Shin
Megami Tensei II. The anime adptation of Devil Children Black
Book and Red Book, Shin Megami Tensei: DeviChil, has an English
Dub. This dub was produced by Bandai Entertainment and aired
on Toon Disney from June 2003, three years after the Japanese
television premiere. In Shin Megami Tensei for the SNES, there
is an obscure hidden fusion preview trick. It allows you to preview
the species or demon name of any combination from the base
fusion screen, saving a lot of time when fusing. To perform
this trick on the fusion screen, you must hold either
Left and the L button (for species) or Right and the R button
(for resulting demon), then press A. For triple fusions,
it's the same, only you do this trick on the second demon selected. The manga that Isabeau reads in Shin Megami
Tensei IV is tilted The Rose of Versailles. This manga originally
ran from May 21st 1972 to December 23rd 1973. The story focuses
primarily on the lives of two women: the Queen of France Marie
Antoinette, and Oscar François de Jarjayes, who serves as
commander of the Royal Guard. Series artist, Kazuma Kaneko was the Mecha
Designer for the games Super Robot Wars Alpha and 3rd Super
Robot Wars Alpha: To the End of the Galaxy. Some fans of the series believe that Pixie
is a scrapped heroine. Sparky is an unused demon designed by Kazuma
Kaneko. This demon was featured in the book Devil Summoner no
Subete and is an electric chair victim. It's unknown why the
demon has never made an appearance in the series. According to Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE's
Developer's Blog, Imagine began its development as the planned
PC version of the cancelled online version of Shin Megami Tensei
NINE. After Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, subsequent
installments which introduce the same skill which deals
Gun-type (instead of Almighty-type) damage have the
skill name localized as Riot Gun instead. The localization of Shin
Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse reintroduces "Freikugel" specifically
for the Demi-fiend's unique skill which deals Almighty
damage, to distinguish Riot Gun in the same game. This
distinction via skill names is not present in the Japanese
version of the game. There is some concept art for a male version
of Ixtab by Kazuma Kaneko. This design is believed to have taken
inspiration from Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. Baby Goldfish is a demon that appears in different
sizes and colours in the game Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE. Megumi Shiraishi is an artist who provided
coloring and finishing for much of Kazuma Kaneko's promotional artwork. Kazuma Deluxe was a column written by Kazuma
Kaneko that was featured in the Game Criticism magazine. This
column not only featured a bit of insight into the game development
process of Shin Megami Tensei, but also just general
thoughts that Kaneko had about various different topics. In the Persona 3 Club Book, in a Q&A section
it is stated that Nyx is in fact a living being outside reality
the size of a celestial body known as "the Star Eater",
that drifted space in a dormant state. Revelations: The Demon Slayer is the English
version of Megami Tensei Gaiden: Last Bible that was
released on the Game Boy Colour in August of 1999. Much like Revelations
Persona, the localiastion of this game included drastic
changes with the intention of making the game more appealing
to Western audiences. A Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne prototype
was shown at the Tokyo Game Show in the year 2000. This prototype
was mainly to test the PS2's networking capabilities as it was
a LAN-networking prototype which featured a battle scene between
two Cerberus'. It was made for internal research to experiment
with the PlayStation 2 hardware so they could adapt
to making games with polygons instead of sprites. Since the Shin
Megami Tensei series had never been rendered in 3D before, they
made it so they could test out various things with their main goal
being to see how the models would be animated and how they would
also move around in 3D. Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army was
set during a fictionalized version of the Taisho period.
For those who are unaware, the Taisho period began in 1912 and
ended in 1926 but the game is set in Taisho 20 which would
indicate that the year of the game is infact 1932 which is after
the Taisho period ended. The time period was chosen as it fit
in with the themes of coexistence the game contained as it was
a period where Eastern and Western culture were in a state
of uneasy coexistence. How the city's residents adapted
to or resisted these changes became one of the game's narrative
themes. To properly convey the period and style, the
team mixed Western Art Deco buildings with city districts still using
extensive architecture from the late Edo period. In Megami Tensei II, it was originally planned
that the Dark Hero would be revived by Satan at his own
request and be fought in the final dungeon around where Asura is
fought in the final game. There is still enemy and event data
for the planned boss fight left in the game data. At the end of Persona 2 Innocent Sin, the
player can choose to punch Philemon. This action knocks away his
mask which reveals the protagonist's face underneath. The fan theory that Teddie is Lucifer has
been floating around the fandom for a long time. It first started
coming to light after Persona 4 Arena releasing as Teddie
in that title is confirmed to have something strange about
him. This made players go back and look at what Izanami is capable
of to which Teddy seemly can perform greater actions than the
deity, such as create a body, on his own. Fans also point out that
Teddie dressing up as Alice is something that Lucifer also did in
Strange Journey. The 1997 PC title Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo
Mokushiroku has adult content in it. They're not that graphic
but they're there and the people in the fandom who know about
this love shocking everyone else with this fact. YouTube prevents
me from going into detail so that's about all you're getting
on this topic. Nocturne is an action-adventure survival horror
game developed by Terminal Reality and released for windows
in 1999. These developers held the copyright for the name
Nocturne in the west for video games, forcing ATLUS USA to credit
them for use of the title when Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne
released and for Ghostlight, who published the PAL version
of the game, to change the name to Shin Megami Tensei III: Lucifer's
Call. In a 2013 Playstation blog post for the release
of Persona 2 Eternal Punishment on the PSOne Emulatior
for PS3, Nich Maragos an ATLUS USA Employee stated that "The bad
news is that unusual circumstances have prevented us from localizing
Eternal Punishment PSP the way we’d have liked to,
but the good news is that you can still find out how the story
of Tatsuya Suou, Maya Amano, and the Joker curse ends!" Jack frost's height is 150cm or 4'11. Fans of the series have pondered the question
"what if there was a real demon summoning program that was
released on the internet as a free download?" This question
has prompted much discussion among fans about whether or not
they'd use it and how it would effect society. There is some controversy regarding Flynn's
name because "Furin" can be translated as "adultery" in Japanese
and there is no homonym for this particular phrase, therefore
the kanji for adultery is always suggested to the user when
using the Japanese computer input to type Furin. Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Digital
Collection is a collection of minigames for PC that are based
off of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner. The bit ball is a demon that was introduced
in the original Shin Megami Tensei. This demon is most likely
based off of the spherical droid from Star Wars as the general
appearance and the red "eye" are shared among the two. The Defender Lord is a Japanese Deity who's
actual Japanese name is Goho Maoson. This deity has a lot of mystery
surrounding him as the only thing to be truly confirmed about
him is that he came to Earth 6.5 million years ago. Kaneko
wanted to include the Defender Lord as one of the demons in
the series but then stated: "I was planning at first to design
a lot of Tengu, including the Defender Lord, but it would
have been too much. Cooler Tengu will appear from now on, so please
look forward to them." The voices heard in the Jewelry Rag song from
Nocturne are voice clips from the 1999 Spanish film "La Lengua
de las Mariposas," otherwise known as "Butterfly's Tongue" or
"Butterfly" in English. In an interview with Kazuma Kaneko, Cozy Okada
and Tadashi Satomi, it was revealed that Maki Sonomura
was based off an adult actress. When asked about whether or
not the characters were based off of "models" Kaneko stated:
"Everyone in the game has them. Maki's, for instance, comes from
a woman who does work in, ah, a certian sort of film, let's
say. The plot calls for her to be doll-like in some respects and
I figured, well, what better sort of woman to literally draw
inspiration from? I guess it's okay for me to say that her design
was born from less that puritanical origins. Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux's
new content is believed to have been outsourced to the comapny
Lancarse. Lancarse are credited to have worked on Strange
Journey Redux but the outsource speculation has not been
fully confirmed as of this video's publication. In South Korea, a model dressed up as Angel
was used for a lot of Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE advertising.
One of these pictures has the question "are you adult" written on
it. An enhanced port of the original Shin Megami
Tensei has been created by fans in the RPG Maker VX. It is
currently avaliable to download but it is only in Japanese. Trying to check Pascal's status in the GBA
version before fusing into Cerberus will result in the game freezing. Due to Mot's AI during his Shin Megami Tensei
III: Nocturne boss battle having the tendency to abuse the Beast
Eye spell, this battle is nicknamed "Mot's Drama" by the Japanese
fans. In the manual for the game's original release,
the protagonist is given the name "Hideto" and the partner
is given the name Rosanna. This is a reference to music duo
Hide and Rosanna, as well as a pun on their name. In Lucifer's artwork for Kyuuyaku Megami Tensei,
his left hand has "Ashtaroth" written on it. And with that, we have finally reached the
bottom of the MegaTen Iceberg. The trivia about this series spans
far and wide over the long time that it has been active with
creators revealing secrets, fans coming up with theories and
information about titles in the series that have not appeared
in the West. This video certianly took me a lot longer to make
than I anticipated as while I did know a lot of this information,
I really just wasn't aware of some of it and trying to locate
some of the information through research was near impossible.
Learning new things about the franchise through the iceberg
is always an exciting expierence for me, but what about
you? Did you learn anything new or have something you think should
have been in here? Let me know in the comments section
down below! Also while you're at it, I know I asked at the
start but YouTube's a place where you really just need to sell out
so hit that subcribe button to show your support, which
I can't thank you for enough and with that all being said and
done, my name is Resident Unleashed, the Resident who finally
finished her second iceberg video and unleashed it out
into the world and I'll catch you all next time.
