[Music] all right well with Father's Day upon us everybody I'm gonna share with you my secret to making the day extra special and the answer is Bobby cute and here to help me show y'all how to do it is my good buddy my man John McLemore from master bill John was that man how we doing man Steve we're doing great and as always we want to make things simpler all right what we're making today masterbuilt is making a brisket recipe and for Father's Day we want fathers to just hang out with their family we're gonna make it simple and we're gonna cook it on a thermo temp which has technology Steve just like my electric smokers that will maintain the temperature so dad can chill out and have fun you ready and you know I know all about them all about my smoker Steve yeah thank heart so a brisket recipe is one of those recipes that is intimidating so many people think I want to do the easier recipes I've never tried a brisket recipe so we've got this at master beau calm showing folks how to go step by step and we start out by taking about an eight to ten pound beef brisket and we're gonna put some Dijon mustard and some wish our sauce and blend that together to create a nice little coating on there to hold our spices now Steve you come over here and get busy with me we're gonna show folks how to take all of these ingredients we got black pepper like probably guys salt ocean soldier salt we got brown sugars Brochu toilet powder I'll help ya garlic onion onion there you go some paprika cumin I always say cumin I get in trouble saying there's cumin Cayenne cumin and some red pepper flakes blend all those together get creative in your kitchen folks and make your own spices that's nine ingredients get your hands in there and see if I'm gonna take all those dry ingredients to it and put it right on top of that beef as you go show that thing around shake it up there you go so you take all of those dry ingredients and completely coat that brisket now we've got again the mustard and the Wishart sauce on there you want to trim your biscuit but you want to leave some of that fat on there some of that fat and you want to add your sicknesses yes you want to make sure you have the fat cap side up completely coat the brisket and some people say you can put too much spices on there to create a bark I like the bar yeah that's what I want to put a seasoning on there to where you can still see the meat but you get a nice good coating now I Pat I Pat my knee I do too I Pat it in this just for tea this is for TV yeah so see that is all of those dry ingredients go throughout the entire beef brisket with that mustard and with that wish sour sauce and we're going to take that brisket all seasoned up and we're gonna put it on this baby right here and Steve you're a big fan of the masterbuilt electric smoker master-builders perfected the art of smoking by making it super easy we now have patented technology with the thermal temp masterbuilt smoker that will do what electric does now in propane so all the propane lovers out there can set their temperature this recipe 225 degrees for 8 hours in round one and we're gonna put this on this one hour per pound of meat it typically will be one hour per pound if you're below 10 pounds of meat okay you get up larger than that sometimes you'll have to adjust the time but the goal on the round one is to get it to a hundred and sixty degrees internal temperature and then we're going to take this brisket out this is stage one of how we've smoked this and we've got this to a hundred and sixty-five degrees internal temperature slide that into a bed of aluminum foil you're then going to create a little boat and you do that so that you can add about five to six ounces of apple juice gives it a nice little sweet flavor and you're basically allowing that to make the briskets who produce each now this is a double you've got a double sheet yes you do Nepal pletely cover that beef brisket and wrap it in like a cocoon leave it on the smoker rack put it back on your smoker for another four hours now the half of the time that was in there originally exactly come on 12 hours complete you better cook that thing 12 hours 12 hours on this recipe to get the internal temperature of that brisket to about 190 to 200 degrees now Steve you'll notice in the bottom of this smoker we've got some wood chips depending on what's your favorite wood chips are when I do beef I'm gonna typically do like a hickory but you can get created with any kind of wood chips that's your favorite flavor close it up set the temperature 225 degrees and with thermo temp you don't have to worry about the outside weather and temperature how much food you put in dad can relax it will maintain the perfect temperature and turn off exactly where this guy and turn off so that your recipe is perfect you can relax and bash your results mr. Steve Harvey yeah should be right here you can serve a beef brisket as the entree you can do it with as a slider serve it up with your favorite sides come on you know I have a lot of successes on my folks but I'm going to just take a moment tell you the most successful thing in my life is raising three amazing kids God has given me an amazing life Steve Harvey there is better than a bad spend the time with his family and masterbuilt wants to make that easier for folks so they can relax spend time perfect those recipes because folks if I can do it anybody do it these are the only smokers I use at my house on my ranch I got them propane I got a mid electric I know how to work them I'm the Boston butt master nobody make a butt better than Steve Harvey I gotta tell you hopefully all of you got a smoke at your home to make this recipe for Father's Day but if you don't don't worry about it because my buddy here Johnny masterbuilt everybody in the studio audience is going home [Applause] everybody gets her and get this recipe go over to Steve [Applause] like that video you want more well you're in luck because I got more press that subscribe button or click on this list and you can see all the great Steve Harvey YouTube videos that you want you ain't doing nothing right now just do me a favor just press the down button
