The MASSIVE Problem with Overwatch 2 and How to Fix it

supposed to get rolled by DPS but like support like if you get Dove by by by a flanking DPS like a tracer or a Genji as like as like an Anna you should die unless you hit your skill check of hitting the sleep dot you should die One V one the biggest problem this game has right now is the fact that everything feels the same the homogenization of the game is the is the biggest problem when when they rework tanks into into solo tanks it basically became tanks became DPS tanks became slightly weaker DPS but with bigger Health pools right for the most part okay and then support ever since they added every single new support they've added to the game is basically a DPS over a healing ability I think the the main thing that keeps like I think you're right the main thing that keeps Ryan like potentially from being [ __ ] is the fact that I think Zen is going to be like unbelievably broken on this patch how on Earth do you ever kill a if if you play against like Zen brg or Zen Anna or any sort of hero that can help Zen stay alive how the [ __ ] do you ever kill a Zenyatta like genuinely I don't know how Zen ever dies Z Ryan swings to the same Das as fire strike oh what the [ __ ] well they had to buff Ryan s swing damage or it breaks all of his break points it's why I don't like changing health health changes it changes Heroes that like rely on break points to kill people right like like Doom for instance like I know generally like when I punch them into wall like how much damage I need to do to kill him with Ry I know okay okay this target do HP I need to swing him twice in fire strike or three times if they do stuff like that it changes like and there's a lot of Heroes like that now the break points of H combined with the fact that everyone basically hits every shot now on tanks like I don't know man it is what it is I just hope they n zen honestly like Zen me Zen I've said so so much like Zen's issu as a hero like is just like the fact he basically just like whoever you Discord just can't play the game for the entire dur verion of the game like if you put it on a tank and you keep it on a tank like a lot you're basically just not a hero like if if I get permanently discorded as Doom I basically can't play the game and there's no real counterplay to it it's not a skill shot like yes you have like the cool down you have like the cool down in between oh my God no [ __ ] way that hits the turret that's so [ __ ] unlucky I mean this are running it down okay that's actually depressing just exactly snipers are slightly worse I mean I don't think I mean I don't think that's true mean I mean Widow Maker specific I think Hanzo and Ash like might be worse but I think that I think that like Widow is better right cuz Widow can still one shot you in the head right and it's way easier to hit you just have to make sure it's fully charged now rather than getting like 80 80% charge trust me eny okay give me I just I just wish that I just wish that they moved like but when they designed Heroes when they designed supports and tank Heroes um when they designed support and tanks Heroes they they made it so that the main skill of the hero was not aim like at least not aim to do damage cuz I think it's such awful design it's why I it's why actually think mery's design is like fine and like Moira like moira's design is also like really good I think as much as people hate the hero like like the worst design support hero is like Baptist where like if you can aim well you just [ __ ] on everyone and it's it shouldn't be reward like aim skill shouldn't be rewarded as heavily when you're playing support as it like as it is feel bad play I don't know like it only really feels really bad when you play into like um if you play into like zenat or Anna or a combination of both he heals really rough but it was like that last patch I you look at the original designed heroes in the game it was like okay oh my God what the [ __ ] happened to my health bar you look like the original cast of the hero plus Anna right like like the only support who really who really had aim skill being like heavily rewarded was like was like Zen and Zen is considered like the wor one of the worst design heroes in the game no but L Lucio's aim skill was never like like never really rewarded that hard right like the by far the main thing by far the main skill of Lucio was his movement which is what it should be like what the hero's entire like entire design is is based on movement and then you had like Mercy who's obviously was about decision making and and movement and then Anna was like Anna had like a lot of aim in her kit but her aim was like how like was healing aim right it's like like yes you could DPS but DPS is never good because most and and the reason is is because you can't head shot get gold damage often is Luc I mean I mean okay like I mean first I really believe you but second thing it doesn't really that doesn't really prove any point right like if as is going to go damage he's probably in a piss low Lobby and he's probably just getting a lot of his damage by booping off tanks right like Lucio's value which is what was good was movement and peeling and booping that was that was his like that was what he that's what he was and that's what he should be that's his design right like he he didn't have high DPS he didn't have high range DPS he didn't have high HPS a single Target HPS was bad he had to decide whether he's going to heal or speed was a really really well-designed hero with lots of like comp like like relatively complex decision making and high level of mechanical skill without without just being like a [ __ ] Widow Widowmaker Aimbot hero right Jesus [ __ ] Christ but then basically like what supports they add after Anna they added Moira okay Moira I actually think I actually think Moira like a pretty reasonably well-designed hero as much as people want to [ __ ] on it I think moira's Design's really good and then and then what you have Baptist uh KIRO arari now brick brick was Brick's problem was like a whole different story right like Brick's problem was just like Bri's issue is like they they made a hero that was designed to coun a dive and they didn't think about anything else was the entire like her entire thing is that we just want we just want dive we just want dive to be like not good so the basic design her entire design is just shits on dive so like but like if you ignore her and then you look at like specifically the Trinity of like Baptist KERO like Baptist KERO arari as Heroes like legitimately I would say like more than half of the skill of those Heroes is how good you can aim your left clicks now that is not a good design that's not a good design support hero cuz you already have Zen who's like that but if half of your support heroes or like 40% of your support Heroes the main skill how good your left click game is in DPS that's a badly designed hero like you can maybe have one or maybe two that that that that's a massive part of their kit but not four that's a problem but like I I I guess they they didn't want supports to be boring right they didn't want supports to um to just Ju Just Be healbot which I can understand but but you look at a hero like Lucio who's not a healbot hero and his design is so engaging like Lucio is one of the more popular heroes in the game because he's because he's a support hero that isn't like just a boring support and isn't just effectively a DPS and then with tanks you get the similar sort of problem like the issue with tank a lot of the tanks is like the spikiness of their DPS here is like doomfist on tank um Hammond Arisa um who else MAA like sometimes they can [ __ ] annihilate you and some yeah junk queen as well yeah sometimes they can literally like onot you and sometimes they just like like just don't do any damage right whereas like a hero like Winston Ry zya Sigma even ratra the damage is consistent at least at least Sigma at least uh ratra in like Nemesis form and that's what tank should be tank should have a consistent DPS throughput that's not particularly hard to land even someone like Z's tracking is pretty easy to do like like comparatively and that's the way it should be cuz your main skill as a tank isn't how good your aim is but like right now I'm telling you on doing fist if if if you could have like one thing be as good as it could could reasonably it would be your left click aim cuz like like you can get so many kills B on how good your left click aim is it's crazy and it's just not it's not engaging I don't want this hero to just be an aim hero that's why it's why I played doas in the first place cuz it wasn't like that like sigma's design and arisa's design like in over more like whatever like the problem is that when you played them together it became super problematic you find jooy keep your team your exactly I agree with you like if you're playing support to just win One V ones and [ __ ] like I I feel like why you even playing support like when when I play support in games whenever I play support games the idea is that like someone's on my teammate and make sure they cannot kill that guy and that to me is fun we win this fight so hard last patch by the way [Music] I don't know most game's dead I mean okay like like like like if you want to know the state if you want to really understand how bad the state of uh DPS is how bad the state of supports are look at the hero like Baptist right how good his 1 V one is if you remember when if you played um like the the one V1 mode txxx mode right and and you get you get given like like almost all the DPS here on like like a few of the support Heroes to one one if you remember Baptist was like a top three um hero in that mode and he has one of his abilities disabled to think about that right like that is crazy but like I I think you could argue like someone like you could probably argue like ekko's maybe better in that mode Baptist is so Elite in that mode and yet his main ability is disabled you can't even use use your lamp like that is genuinely how is that in the game like why are supports better than DPS in 1 V ons it's just dumb but that right there is the blizzard problem in a nutshell right there like how how how they can justify that hero being in the game in the state he's in that always has been is just everything that's wrong with this game like you just like like literally Baptist is just soldier with like but you also deal like 10K healing per game that be do the first time i' ever thought about uninstalling it's like Dreadful I like they haven't addressed they haven't addressed the issues of supports is the problem like and I don't think they can at this point like the only like they honestly like if they want to save this game they actually like like I I don't think you can I think the problem is that the hero design is too toxic like you like the the amount of work you have to do rebalancing and reworking like hot like almost every hero in the game like at this point like genuinely the only way that you can save this game I think is you have to start fresh you either have to go with a new IP and just just redesign every hero or you have to add you have to go to OverWatch 3 ends and you need to just not and and you just have to select which like Heroes you want you only bring in like 60% of the cast to the next game I feel that's like the only way you can actually save the game and and that's obviously new this things are going to happen like there is like seven or eight heroes that genu like I think right now you could remove from the game and it would just make the game strictly better nice one CHS like you remove malga you remove orisa you remove Zen you remove Baptist you Remo you remove arari the game just immediately gets strictly better with it make it yeah is that bad I mean alar is not strong right now and she's kind of [ __ ] but like people don't understand like the difference between between like um how like how because because arari is weak right now people don't realize how toxic and cancerously design is this like something that people just don't get life I I don't know like I'm I'm I actually don't agree with life fever I actually don't mind life fever's design I don't think he's an amazingly welld designed character but like compared to the other support Heroes they've released he like the best designed support hero they've added since life Weaver I think since uh since Moira this my opinion like I think like his his pull and his left is like pretty reasonable but like I agree like the other two arari KERO is like well like life weever brings like utility in a way that no other hero can like like the grip is really cool it's a really really really cool mechanic his O is a bit boring I think in terms of like it's just sort of just a big healing beam like that's kind of it pull as hard can me in the game I mean you could argue it's overpow like I I don't think it's that cancerous like to me but like like I I think if you went through the game right now right I and and if I was to start again right and if I was to make a new game I would remove I'd probably I'd probably rework Queen to be a DPS rework doomfist back to being a DPS I'd remove ma I'd REM remove orisa I'd remove ratra or I'd rework ratra um I would remove Baptist I'd remove Brig I'd remove arari I'd remove KERO I'd remove zenyard totally fine I mean rat's design is is a bit stat sticky remove all heroes pretty much and then I'd remove um I think the DPS is actually not too bad I think the DPS like i' probably i' probably like re Bastion I'd re to i' re symmetra i' probably remove Sombra it's probably the only hero I obviously i' remove Widow but season 9 was to I mean I guess the issue is just like the game is just like so it just feels like cod bro like it's Miss like all the
